That is a legitimate point!

Stressed out by the hustle and bustle of Freedom City? Looking for a way to better control your powers? Secretly carrying a torch for a redheaded Southern Belle? Then join Claremont's Meditation Club, led by Lulu Beaumont! Not quite sure if this will lead to threads specifically, but Lulu's noticed several students she thinks might benefit from transcendental mediation, and she's eager to teach them! This would involve yoga mats and comfortable clothes for those who are interested. (Dok, don't feel the need to join; just couldn't resist be the 'rule of three' joke ?)

Lynn sucked air through her teeth. "See, that's a tough one." She leaned back and called into the kitchen. "Hey Grim2? Do you think you're alive?" "I mean, I guess so," came the uncertain reply. "But then again, you can dismiss me with a wave of your hand, so I'm acutely aware that I'm f###ing temporary." "Yeah, it's complicated," Lynn said with a vigorous nod. "But yes, completely solid, completely real. Has all my skills, powers and memories, except she can't make more copies." "Or open the stupid Vault." "Yeah, there is a weird glitch or something where she can't open my pocket into Faerie, which is annoying." There were sounds of pots and pans clanging in the kitchen, and then 'Anne Hathaway' began loudly singing 'Somebody To Love'. "Each morning I get up I die a little, can barely staaand on my feeeeet!" Lynn rolled her eyes and shook her head.
-
Lulu laughed, which came through a bit like a mixture of wind chimes and a gurgling stream. - The drama? I'm afraid so. If anything, it's a bit heightened due to all our powers! - Though there was no accompanying sound, Nick had the distinct impression that the telepath 'pulled up a chair'; the contact seemed closer and more friendly. - So I'm guessing your powers have something to do with sound. Is that why you can't talk, because your control needs work?- There was a pause, and suddenly Lulu's cheerful demeanor evaporated as a cold, dark chill seeped into the invisible space between them. - My telepathy kicked in when I was ten years old. I thought I was going crazy; all those voices saying all those horrible things...-
-
Crystal-Gazer "No, it ain't," said Lulu with a sigh, her hands on her hips. "Judy's a hopeless romantic who just wants a normal life; Leroy's a low-down polecat who spent his summer in Agrabah staring at pretty girls, only now he feels bad, so he pulled the corniest trick in the book out of his ass because he knew she'd say 'yes'. Ashley, who's actually got some sense, is none too pleased." The redheaded telepath covered her face with her hand and shook her head; poor Judy! She couldn't even bring herself to hate Leroy; he was just following the bizzare social norms he grew up with on his strange world. But then a comment from Pan snapped her back to attention. "He'll do no such thing! Ah'm seventeen years old, Pan; ah don't know s### about s###! He'll, last thing in the world ah want right now is to be married!" Then she reached over to rub Adam's arm affectionately. "No offense, darlin'; just ain't the time nor place." She then grew thoughtful as she looked towards the entrance to the dorms. "Hon, do you mind if ah 'step out' for a spell? Ah jus' want to make sure that sweet boy Nick is settlin' in okay. Won't take long." Holding on to Adam's arm for stability, she sent her senses out in search of the quiet lad, and shortly found him in his room with Claude (ick!). Not wanting to pry, she quickly switched to telepathy to give the boys a bit more privacy. - Hi Nick, it's Lulu. I don't have an accent in my mind, for some reason; weird, huh? I just wanted to make sure you found your room okay, and see if you had any questions. -

Torque will accept her Fatigue for now. -
Looking back towards the swamp, Torque shook her before looking back at the others. "I know not the ways of magic, but I can provide transport. There are few places on Earth beyond my reach." She then took several steps away from the group, turned to face them, and then impossibly expanded into a sporty black airboat. After a few seconds, the swamp craft folded back into the young woman, who wore a small smile. "You may call me Torque."

Seeing the massive amounts of heat Speed-Demon was generating in both himself and the creature, Torque decided it was probably best to get out of the air and hunker down. Her rotors pulled inward as her hull shifted into a heavy riot vehicle, which dropped about three feet onto its fat tires and heavy suspension with a thud. The techshifter locked her parking brake just in time to be rocked by the blast, the shock so intense that her left wheels literally left the ground for a few seconds. As debris continued to slap into the ground and the rain hammered down, the riot vehicle slowly rolled over towards Betsy and Persephone; as it moved closer, it began to shrink and collapse into itself, maintaining the same steady pace as it became a tall, graceful African-American woman. She wore green coveralls, black work boots, large gold hoop earrings, and her long braids wrapped up in a scarf of bright red and gold. Despite her part in the hectic battle, her pleasant face bore a serene smile, and her deep rich voice was calm and soothing, though it seemed to bear no noticeable accent and minimal inflection. "The creature has been defeated; well done, one and all. Are there any injured who require transport to a hospital?"

Torque is hoverin'! -
"Oh, I want to show you a new trick I learned! it's pretty cool, actually." Lynn waved her hand towards the chair across the coffee table from the sofa, and...another Lynn appeared! "Yo!" How're ya feelin'," asked the original Lynn "Not too bad," said new Lynn with a shrug. "Maybe a little peckish. You guys wanna do brunch?" "Yeah, I could eat." "Sweet! We've got eggs, right?" "I am almost sure, yeah." "Cool beans." The two Lynns gave each other two thumbs up, then the second one got up headed into the kitchen, whistling 'Never Had A Friend Like Me' as he went. Real Lynn turned to Moira and grinned. "So, whaddya think?"
-
"Yeah, I didn't get my really good boobs 'til I had my first kids," Lynn said absentmindedly as she gazed out the window. But then she shook her head and waved a hand dismissively. "But I mean, that's not exactly fair or whatever; I could give myself amazing boobs whenever I wanted to." She sighed deeply and shook her head. "Oh, this reminds me of some of my conversations with Ruthie; it's hard to talk to a teen about acne when you have ludicrously perfect skin. She absolutely hated me for a few years there; 'You're perfect, you're always perfect!' Wham!" She flung her hand, as if slamming an invisible door. "Of course, once her powers kicked in, that was a whole 'nother battlefield..." The changeling chuckled wistfully at the thought of her daughter's passionate rebellion.

Sorry, couldn't think of anything else to add; Lulu's cold!

Now standing on the deck of the Horizon, Lulu could only gape in wonder at both its size and beauty of the craft. Watching Pan and Dayvd frolic up in the air gave her a twinge of jealousy; it must be so cool to fly! But now she was starting to feel a little chilly as the wind whipped around her wet towel. "This is all lovely, Veronica, but can ah get below decks and dry off a bit? The breeze is goin' right through me!"

Lulu stood up on tippy-toe to accept a kiss from Adam, and then easily slipped under his arm. 'Hey, you! Nah, we're doin' alright out here; just meetin' some new folks an' givin' them the lay of the land. We just-" And then the drama between Judy and Leroy blew in like a hurricane in the Gulf, and the redhead was transfixed; Judy was her friend, and Leroy her boneheaded boyfriend. She'd gotten over her initial dislike of the boy, but he would never not be ridiculous, and now he was pulling this stunt? Unbelievable! But now there were more pressing matters, like Ashley's impeding decapitation of the cocky new boy. Judy and Leroy would sort themselves out like the stars of a bizzare Disney Channel sitcom, but the threat of violence right in front of her was very real. Turning her Southern sweetness up to 11, the telepath swiftly stood between the two.of them, arms spread and palms out. "Now why don't you just calm down, y'all; we don't need any fightin' the first day back, do we? You got a whole term to learn to hate each other proper; why waste all that potential?" There was a twinkle in her eye, but also just a hint of pleading.
-
Well that was disappointing! However, if nothing else, Gretchen had succeded in annoying and distracting a violent douchebag; it was the little things in.life you savored. Still, he was still up and shooting, his aim blew. Deciding to give the loser a taste of his own medicine, she formed her hand into a finger pistol and fired a bright red blast of light back at him. "Bite me, fu- oh, damn it!" Her shot went wide.

So this is using an HP to get Move-By Action as an Heroic Fear, and Extra Effort for a stunt of Drain. I was originally thinking of using Additional Limbs as the stunt, but I made it sound like a Snare, which would be Strength 3, aka equivalent to Wood. 1. Is that enough to secure someone under a high speed helicopter? 2. Do I need to hit if I'm trying to help? -

So without limbs, can I just try to scoop her up with the landing gear, or is it best that I just ready an action for my next turn and wait for her to climb aboard? -

Hmm, I think I did that post wrong; in order to blow and HP to add Move-By Action, Torque has to pick Betsy up herself, right? -
Torque was gathering a lot of information about the creature and those who chose to oppose it. It was very strong, but not every attack injured it. And the multi-colored plant controller seemed to possess some sort of healing ability. Which was good, because the foul-mouthed woman who'd been swatted so far away could probably use some of that about now. Apparently lacking the ability to directly damage the monstrosity, the techshifter instead took off in the direction Betsy had been hurled, her turbines whining at top speed as she flew. She'd been monitoring the combat in IR, and therefore had a pretty good idea when the indestructible woman had landed. Sure enough, the trench she'd dug during impact was still bright with heat, and soon she was hovering directly over her, kicking up a whirlwind of debris as she yelled through her external speakers as she slowly lowered down to her. - "My apologies; this may be unpleasant!" - From the hull of the helicopter, several tentacles of steel shot out and began to rapidly wrap around the injured expatriate. The very second Betsy was firmly held, the black helicopter shot back into the air, pulling some serious G's as it raced back to Persephone, only to rapidly decelerate and land gently by the plant lady's side, carefully depositing Betsy on the pavement as the limbs withdrew. - "I have another patient for you!" -
