Sorry my posting has been so sporadic lately; my busy grad school life makes in challenging to stay current. Between today and tomorrow I hope to get caught up.

She'll shake off the Staggered, which will still leave her Bruised and Stunned, I believe. Will post tonight!

I still have one HP left, correct?

Toughness save vs Big Guy: 1d20+10=29 Reflex save: 1d20+16=18 Did I make both saves exactly on the head? If so, freaky! I think her Evasion 2 means she takes no damage since she made her save? And now her Feedback rolls! Magic rope vs Axe: 1d20+6=8 That....is really crappy. Reroll and spend the HP! Reroll Rope vs Axe: 1d20+6=11+10=21 Rope vs Fire: 1d20+6=9 Ugh, that one I have to take! At least it's non-lethal!

So are the participants in their heroic or civilian identities? Because that could be important.

We've got plenty of time; probably will wait 'til closer to the end of the month to start.

Grim has Feedback on stuff she creates; do the saves you listed include pain from psychic 'fire damage'?

1d20+15=19 Feh!

Heritage replied to Moira Morley's topic in The Realms Beyond
Great; I finally land in The Lord of the Rings, and no one speaks English. First things first, immobilize the combatants; with a wave of her tiny hand, Grim conjured up a big, heavy hemp net, large enough to drop over the whole cart. She spared the horses in an attempt to keep them from panicking and hurting themselves. Then she landed beside the cart and returned to full size before speaking to the strangers in their own tongue. <"We are not minions of the vampire lord! We are travellers from another realm, and we mean you no harm!"> -
I think my Create Object is powerful enough to make a sturdy hemp net big enough to drop over the whole cart minus the horses. I believe a targeting roll is in order?
-
Sorry for the delay; lots of juggling going on right now, and I fell behind.

Inside Casey cursed herself (very mildly) for not grabbing the bed closer to the window, but she wasn't the one who was 'out' as a superhero, so it was probably only fair that Maria get it. Besides there were advantages to being close to the door, anyway. Dropping her backpack on her bed, she reached out to shake Maria's hand; her grip was surprisingly strong and confident and she had a few callouses, so she apparently wasn't averse to getting a little dirty. "Casey Blankenship," she replied as she squinted a bit to take in her fangs. "Wow; so those are the real deal, eh? What kind of powers do you have?"

Or we could have the PCs 'field test' the maze with a little hide and seek?
-
If we had a big cleared circle in the middle of the maze for him to work in, I think gouts of fire than light up the night would be wonderfully evocative! So maybe the best way to do such a thread would be to have everyone meet in a social thread and brainstorm, and maybe demonstrate a power or two? And then at the end a sort of wrap-up describing the final result and visitors' responses.

So Halloween is Grim's favorite time of the year, so I try to do something with her every year, though it doesn't always pan out. She often likes to do charitable events with a spooky theme to raise money for some of her favorite local non-profits. I had given thought of her and Shrike working with a local corn maze (New Jersey has a few), but Im not sure how that would work as a thread. Basically I'm open to any ideas

Definitely interested! I think Casey/Miracle Girl is the best candiate for this sort of thing because she's not a trained singer

After making sure that her prisoner was secure, Casey then turned her efforts towards aiding the injured; interestingly, this included the two prisoners as well! This was something she started during a mission with the aquatic hero Leviathan, and though it led to the occasional raised eyebrow, she felt it was the right thing to do. Her first aid skills weren't at professional level, but she new her way around bruises and lacerations, and her x-ray vision let her know if there was a break. She'd pretty well exhausted her kit by the time the stairs descended from the back of Air Force One, so she flew over to stand at attention for the most powerful man on the planet. "We hit harder, Mr. President, and that's what matters," stated Miracle Girl, standing ramrod straight with her arms behind her back. "It's an honor to meet you, sir."

Happy birthday, Ecal and TT (belated)!

"Oh, sorry!" The big blonde sort of scuttled out of the way, holding the door open with an elbow as she dropped her carry-on bags just inside the door, but off to one side. It seemed like she'd forgotten about her backpack as she came back into the hall to help her new roomie. "Here, let me take some of those for you," Casey offered as she gently slid the bags out from under Maria's elbows; she handled them effortlessly, like they were a set of pompoms. "Do you have a side preference?" She indicated the two beds on either side of the room with a casual wave of a duffel bag. "I'm pretty much good anywhere."

Pi Epsilon Delta Chapter House, Freedom City University. Saturday, August 26th, 2017. 10:05 AM At the eighth floor, Casey slid open the vintage elevator gate, which shrieked delightfully; everything here felt timeless and ageless, and somehow that thrilled her. She paused to peer over the railing of the stairwell, all the way down to the tile floor below, and then turned her head upwards to marvel at the stained glass dome overhead. "I love it," she murmured to no one in particular. Finally she began to make her way towards her designated room, and learn just who 'Maria Sangre' really was; she knew she was from New York, Puerto Rican and fiercely proud of it. Casey also knew that she had some kind of freaky superpowers that involved the human body somehow. Did she dare share her own secret identity? Probably not, at least until she knew this girl better. The blonde bruiser made her way down the hall, dragging two wheeled carry-on bags, one in each hand. On her back was a massive backpack; not a little daypack like you'd give to your middle-schooler, but a full-on mountaineering grade beast. It was full to bursting, but she carried the load easily. In terms of clothing, she wore a pair of Teva sandals, khaki cargo shorts (how many pairs did she own?), her photographer's vest over a Colorado Rockies T-shirt, a pair of glasses, and a brand-new FCU baseball cap. She smelled of musky organic soap, sugarless mint gum and a healthy sweat. She found the right door on her letter from PED and politely knocked before poking her head in. "Hello, new roomie warning! Hide all your, uh, drugs and alcohol and stuff!" Yeah, that sounded way funnier in her head. Her voice bore just a hit of a Southwestern twang, and her smile was positively radiant.

Grim-nitiative: 1d30+12=28 Tie goes to who?

Casey listened to Sam, smiling and nodding occasionally, but as the super genius continued to speak, the blonde's normally cheerful demeanor dimmed considerably. At length, she sighed and shook her head. "You mentioned luck; I used to think of myself as being incredibly lucky, and I guess technically I still am. I was born a white blonde girl, in America, into an upper middle class family. I have a father and mother who love me, and an older brother who would do anything for me. I have never wanted for food, clothing or shelter, I went to the best schools, and Mom and Dad brought me up right." And now her dark mood continued as she stared off into space. "But now, I'm starting to see a side of my dad I never knew about...or maybe I saw it, and chose to be ignorant." She let her head hang in shame, then shrugged her shoulders. "My dad...is incredibly prejudiced against gays amd lesbians; the whole LGBTQA community, really. He always paid lip service to the cause, but it wasn't until my brother came out to us in February that it, you know, spilled out all over the place. And now, they're always fighting and they might, like, get a divorce or get separated or something..." The young heroine trailed off, too emotional to talk anymore.
