Need checks from the Sorcerer to see what gets nixed.

Silver Scream can't beat the DC 34 Sense motive check or Will save to resist that, so she is Distracted (dazed, takes no action, but is not flat-footed). Dome drops, Muse uses Perception-range Damage. DC 25 Toughness save, which Silver Scream cannot make. Since she's been treated as a Minion this whole time, she pops. And now we're out of combat rounds.

Elizabeth almost lost herself in the new sensations, but knew she could not afford to do so. She reached out with her demi-divine power, tracing down the sonic paths towards the faint jangle of spectral armor on the invisible spirit, and sent down a pulse of divine energies. Silver Scream suddenly appeared, screaming again -- but this time in true pain -- then disappeared as ghostly flames licked at the edges of her eerie monochromatic form and consumed her, as fast as film stock. "I think I got her!" Muse called out half-triumphantly. Only half so because she was still new to all this!

Mutt keeps on keepin' on. (Mutt ain't built for combat, at least not against actual threats.)

Archeville shrugged, "no battle plan survives contact with the enemy," he scrambled to cover the opening his shrug had exposed, "and it is rare indeed for an experiment to come out with no unexpected permutations." "You all have done fine things with what I gave you, though," he shifted to patterning is strikes on pi, "so I certainly cannot label the team a failure. Well, not a complete one; there was the incident with Avenger," he broke the pattern to send a probe Jack's way, testing how hearing that unpleasantness brought up would affect him, "but, if anything, you all came out the stronger for it!"

Magnets! How Do They Work? Science, You Clown! [IC]
Dr Archeville replied to Dr Archeville's topic in West End
"Ah, I am never going to not hear that, am I?," he replied, chuckling. "Nothing too big," he continued as he closed down the holographic displays. "I realized the other day that, since Erik and Lynn and Billy were the ones who recruited you for the team, not me, I never really had a chance to meet with you, get to know you. And since I am the one paying the bills for the place, well, I would like to remedy that. Besides," he smiled, "from what little we have talked, you seem rather bright, and interested in science, something I always wish to encourage!" -
At the mention of the Grue Invasion, Archeville's left eyebrow raised slightly. "Doctor Harris left that bit off the chart. That... is very interesting... Dr. Rao ran many tests, some of which Xavier grasped the purpose of, a few of which went over his head, at least the first time they were explained; Archeville had a knack for breaking down complex procedures into simpler analogies. Several pieces of the equipment (like the beds for the MRI and CAT scan machines) had to be altered to accommodate Xavier's nonhuman body design, though he was pleasantly surprised to see how easily the equipment could be configured -- ArcheTech really was set up to deal with beings of all shapes, sizes, and abilities. Archeville stayed close by the whole time, though he let Rao run the show; Xavier was her patient, and when oddities came up that she could not immediately explain, a few brief words guided her back on the right track. Which is not to say that all he did was stand and observe: out of Rao's eyesight, he had palmed his Electromagnetic Screwdriver and remotely ran a few scans of his own. Xavier did notice this, and Archeville noticed that he noticed, and reacted by giving the speedster a sly wink. At the end of the day, it was a god news/bad news situation. Good news, his mutation seemed stable, so barring any external exposures, he was in no trouble of having a mental reversion, his mind would ever be his own. Bad news, the change that had been done to him had the earmarks of being a Grue project.

DH's Nullify is ranged, but the exhaustion gives him penalties on the attack (and since he's mostly melee, he's at +1 total on ranged attacks), and he's too exhausted to stunt a Perception version to make sure he hits. Ah! "At the beginning of the round immediately after extra effort, the hero becomes fatigued," and fatigued --> exhausted and exhausted --> unconscious. So he can stunt something, he'll just get KO'd at the beginning of the following round. Full Round: Refocus. This will changed Dead Head's initiative to 23. (Then Ironclad, then Mutt, who'll just keep flying around overhead) Next round, Cannonade delays to go with Push (and maybe Ironclad). DH goes Free Action: Use Extra Effort to stunt Full Round: Use Nullify on Ragnarok-Cultist. Nullify check (1d20+12=28) Will save, DC 21 (1d20+6=21) Then the Sorcerer goes (unless Ironclad stunned him with her attack!) Then Cannonade & Push can get in a combined attack vs. the Sorcerer. Or, they could both delay, and Ironclad could join in on the combined beat-down. How's that sound?

Date: February 7th, 2011 (Monday). Early evening. Eli East had just finished his day's classes at Freedom College, and had returned to the Brownstone for a quick bite (leftovers of the big pot of chili Colt had made the night before), when he realized an unexpected figure was seated at the breakfast nook. "Ah, Eli, there you are!," Doktor Archeville greeted, waving him over to the table. He had been reviewing holographic projections of a calendar, notes, reports, news feeds, and other assorted items, all projected from the Electromangetic Screwdriver in his hands. "Do you have a few moments to spare? I would like to discuss a few things with you."
-
"We do make an odd couple, certainly," he said as he just barely parried away the strike, "and I was just as surprised! Still am, sometimes! If you had asked me a week before what I thought the odds were of my finding what I have with her, what we have together, I would have said they were so remote as to be mathematically disharmonious." "Speaking of Eli, Elli, Billy and Grim," he shifted to a series of precise strikes, patterned after a Fibonacci spiral, "how would you say the team is doing? Do you all need anything, any additions or alterations to the Brownstone?"
-
"Zephyr, right?," he asked while recovering from a temporary unbalance. "Strawberry, rhubarb and apples, raspberry... interesting blend; I shall have to consult the aroma wheel and fragrance wheel to see where those fall in relation to one another." He quickly recovered, in time to fend off the probe. "Ah, yes, Mona -- it was on yours and Dark Star's recommendation that she first came to me for help with her powers. I suppose I have you," he sent a few probing strikes of his own, "to thank for our being together!" "So, what do your senses pick up from Eli? Or Ellie?"
-
Yes, like a fridge magnet. Or, rather, like there's a large magnet on the other side of the wall pinning its metal body to it.
-
Also, Dok's telling folks who lack a way to get up to ArcheStern to head to the nearest ArcheTech facility, where they'll be teleported up to the space station.

"... hunh," was all he said. The smirk that flashed across Archeville's face would have been enough to give his intent away, but before even that Erik sensed the energy channeling though the scientist's nervous system, and he easily dodged the 'surprise' lunge. The fight was back on. "So the Terminus kids -- Phalanx and Psyche, I presume -- smell like overripe fruit to you? Fascinating! Does Mona carry the same sensation? Her origin is not -- whoop! -- not entirely the same as theirs, I wonder if there are subtle differences you can pick up?"

Archeville's face lit up at the name, "ah, Kid Cthulhu! He came in here, some days before the attack -- he had let me study him and his magic!" Archeville knew Blake had lost his pseudonatural powers: he kept tabs on all Metahuman activity, and when some armored maniac burned down part of the Supers Museum while beating on a teenage superhero, and said teenager turned out to be one of his patients, that nabbed his attention. "Call? You should be able to, yes, though not from this shielded room." He snapped his fingers, "ah, I know exactly the place to try!" Moments later, they were on the roof of the ArcheTech building, near the Helipad. Freezing winter winds buffeted the two, but Archeville (kept warm by his fantastic coat) gave her a thumbs-up. On the elevator ride up, he had told her that making a phone call on the roof would normally be difficult due to the winds, but since her radio communication processes were tied directly to her brain, particularly the speech areas, she should be able to call without speaking aloud, effectively a sort of 'cell phone telepathy.'

"Foot and hip pains, too, I should expect," Archeville said, "since your pelvis and feet are in no way suited for bipedal walking. It would be like," he began to chuckle, "if I walked around on my tiptoes, while bent over backwards!" Archeville's eyes suddenly went wide, and he turned again to Dr. Rao, "I do apologize, Mister Xavier is your patient, I should not be interrupting your work. I will just... stand here in the corner and observe." He took two steps to the left, "Quietly." Dr. Rao smiled and said the interruption was no bother at all, then continued with her exam. It all started basically enough, checking the eyes, ears, nose and throat, respiration rate and blood pressure, pressing here and there for any tenderness or soreness, and so on. Through it all, Archeville watched, quietly, keenly, grinning the entire time.

"Italy does have fine food -- and wine!," he said as he cleared and stored the Walthers, "so on that front you two would be more than well-cared for." "Outsider status would not be as big a problem in Italy as it would be in France." He selected a shotgun from the bag, and picked through a selection of shell and slugs for it, "the cowboy thing would definitely work to your advantage there. and I would be happy to ask for you, I can say I need to know where she has been for in order to make sure her vaccination records are up to date. But," he gave a slight shrug, "I do understand a reluctance to go to eerily familiar vistas." So, has she made any mention," he asked after firing several rounds, a mix of shot and shells, "of any thing she would like? Books or movies or such? Speaking of, is there anything you need, for your superheroic works? Any problems with the Brownstone?"

... Dok (a member of the Freedom League Auxiliary) asked Pseudo (a member of the Freedom League) to prep a Pegasus-class Space-Plane (as seen in the Freedom City setting book) for their use. So, yes, transport has already been secured. :)

"Yes, I do try to focus more on undoing all the horrible things my grandfather and the monsters he worked with did. And I told you," he added, "t was an anti-Hitler clock, the Grim figure is kicking-" His tone suddenly shifted, from apologetic/explanatory to confused/questioning. "Hold on - are you saying my brain, my mental energies, detect as 'magic' to you? Has it always read like that?"

The ride was smooth, with classical music playing clearly from concealed speakers. Once it reached the 4th floor, the doors opened, and lit arrows appeared on the floor and the wall immediately before the elevator, which Xavier quickly realized were pointing him towards room 412. The room was a standard doctor's examination room: chair, bed with paper cover (though the bed was actually semi-comfortable), sink with a few drawers and cabinets, and assorted examination tools on the counter and attached to the wall, and a few semi-current general interest magazines in a basket by the window. The quality of the gear was far better than the average doctor's office -- the disinfectants even smelled nicer! -- but it was still very recognizably a doctor's exam room. Xavier was not kept waiting long; a knock at the door preceded the entrance of two figures, a woman followed by a man. The woman was a slightly heavyset tanned brunette, looking to be in her mid-30s, with blue slacks and a white dress shirt under her labcoat; her long hair was up in a bun, she wore glasses, and in her hands was something that looked like an iPad. She introduced herself as Doctor Phyllis Rao, indicated she had copies of his med records from Dr. Harris and had already reviewed them, and asked how Xavier was doing, if he was experiencing any unusual aches or pains; her voice had a slight Harlem accent. Xavier barely heard any of that, as his focus was instead on the man behind Dr. Rao: the world-renowned Doktor Viktor Archeville. "Hello, Mister Xavier!," he said, smiling and extending a hand. "I hope you do not mind me accompanying the very skilled Dr. Rao." He turned slightly to give her a smiling nod, then turned back to their patient, "I try to be present for the first exam of any new Metahuman patient, because... well, because I can!"

"As long as you keep using your discoveries for the betterment of humanity, I would be willing to overlook some neglect of the theoretical work. Just do not take any shortcuts, those always turn out badly!" he cautioned. "Who is your boyfriend? Do you think he might be interested in helping advance scientific understanding of so-called 'magic'? Do you think anyone at The Lab would be interested? Supercape or Dragonfly seem well-suited for the task. Of course," he finished making some notes on her medical file, "I do remember the measures we took to make sure The Lab is not sen as a subsidiary or branch of ArcheTech, that you all are your own organization, so any collaboration would need to be done carefully, but for a project of this scope..."

I got this (took about 6 hours to download) and started playing; both chars are around level 6 now. (This is the first time I've ever played an MMO.) Made versions of Doktor Archeville (Grimoire Archetype, Flight) and Dead Head (Behemoth Archetype, Teleportation). @Dr_Archeville
