Not a dome, a big circular wall, open at the top.

To clarify, Artificer made a circular wall (extending from him, so from overhead it looks not unlike a question mark), not an enclosed dome. He doesn't know if Bird-Man's friend or foe, and doesn't want him trapped in a dome with Gator-Man! Toughness save is 1d20+9: 27 [1d20=18], so fails by 3.

Artificer's going to use his Create Object power to transmute the air around ManBird and ManGator into a large circular wall of ice, less to contain them and more to ward off the citizenry.

Artificer One of Heroditus' classmates had suggested that going to one of Freedom's malls would be an ideal way to see both a broad sampling of consumer-grade Surfacer technology, and a wide assortment of foods. He'd finally gotten around to doing so, and had been wandering around in the Millennium Mall for most of the day, flitting between the food court and various stores. While clustered collections of merchants offering their wares were a familiar sight, the sheer number and variety of them had left the young Atlantean agog. So many things! And so many things of each thing! He was about to try something called "tomato pie" when the two figures crashed into the building. After muttering a curse in the bright click-pop language of his homeland, he ran towards the scene, assembling components form his belt pouches as he ran. Is the reptilian one the aggressor? That's what my instincts say, but how influenced are they by anti-Deep One prejudice? No, no, best to see to the safety of the citizenry first, then I can sort out who they are. He pointed his hastily-assembled device -- a miniature silver trident studded with pearls -- at the two, and a large wall of ice sprung up from his feet, reaching out to circle around them. "Get out of here!," he called out to the few people standing and gawking, waving them away with his free hand, "it's not safe! Go!"

Artificer would be up for the brainstorming part. And general networking with other brainy tech (and magic) types. Horrorshow would be up for the demolition part; he'd think he's adaptable enough that nothing inside could seriously injure him. (Whether that's accurate or not is another matter!) And he is a native of Freedom with ties to Ukraine (and Chernobyl), so he'd be eager to help clean up a towering technological terror.

In order to make sure the Refs accurately count all your IC posts and award you the due amount of power points, please post with a list of all the threads in which your player character, NPC or sidekick posted IC this month (including the News forum). Also list any threads which you are GMing. GM posts count as double and can be assigned to whichever of your characters needs a 'push'. This topic will automatically close on the seventh day of the following month (i.e., June 7th, 2021 at Midnight EST). When you make your list, post a link to your first post for the month for each IC thread so we can jump right to it. When you start a thread, make sure IC is the first tag and topic prefix of the In Character thread, and OOC is in the first tag and topic prefix of the Out Of Character thread. It's not required, but additional tags including the major players and locations are viewed as a courtesy. Please list your threads in alphabetical order. Please clearly note any threads in which you are both player and GM/running an NPC. In threads where you are both player and GM/an NPC, please be sure to mark each post so we can tell who it should be allocated to. Please list your threads in a timely manner. Extending the deadline one week into the following month is already a grace period. If you've done any "extracurriculars" -- artwork, HellQ, 20 Questions, NPC, vignettes, guidebook pages, etc. -- please be sure to list them along with your active threads. For more information on ways to earn power points, see Character Advancement and Awards in the House Rules section of the Guide. Post counts should be formatted similar to the following: To make clear how many posts from rollover and GM posts are assigned to each character. Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in being forced to watch ALL the Awards shows your post counts being postponed or skipped completely. If you missed the deadline, see this thread.

Dead Head Strix had been missing for some time, off on some personal mission, so Dead Head had been pulling double duty in Bedlam. Though the revenant had only been in the city for a little under two years, the recent increase in his activity level had helped him grow more accustomed to it. In some ways, this was surprisingly easy: rot and decay, which permeated the city on so many levels, were things with which he was intimately familiar. But Bedlam always held surprises for the unwary. Tonight, the surprise came from something oddly familiar. A bank robbery? He shook his head in disbelief, you don't see many of those these days. Not even in Freedom, where crimes tend to be more- He paused, leaned forward a bit from his vantage point on the roof of a building across the street, wait, no guns? Oh, this is weird! I have got to get a closer look. He stepped off the roof, landing with a wet THUD onto the sidewalk across the street from the bank.

Artificer Heroditus had waited patiently for an opening to speak to Kendra, but between Elena, Benny, and everything else vying for her attention -- and his own Atlantean mannerisms -- he never found a good opportunity to get a word in. Perhaps after this party would be best, he thought. And then there were puppies. Atlanteans were no strangers to pets. All manner of eels, fish, and sea snakes were most common, and a variety of crustaceans and rays had gained some popularity over the past few millennia (though were still met with resistance in some circles, due to their lack of a "proper" skeleton); Heroditus himself had a marbled electric ray, Marmo, which he'd had since he was six. Semiaquatic birds and mammals were also not unheard of, though usually only kept by Atlanteans at remote colonies or outposts. And pre-Sinking, Atlanteans certainly had canines, felines, and mustelids as household companions, though none now remember them. He cautiously approached one, holding one hand out for it to sniff. "Good... ah, good land-seal..."

Horrorshow The Davyd Palahniuk that exited the cab was not the one who had been sitting next to Elizabeth. He was a Davyd Palahniuk, certainly, but possibly one from another reality, who had devoted his life to working out and becoming the World's (or at least Ukraine's) Strongest Man. A mountain of muscle, a beast of biceps, someone who could easily haul any equipment needed for the pit crew. "Okay, Micah," he clapped his hands once, "what needs to be unloaded first? Liz says we don't have as much time as I'd thought, so we gotta move quick, yeah?" The others had seen this form before: he'd used it when they were first loading the truck, and when they'd checked in with the rally officials. "I know we're not supposed to use our powers," he'd later told the team, "but I think this could slide by, especially if I keep my strength level within human range."

Horrorshow Davyd was very much a city boy. He'd been born in Freedom, lived there his entire life. His father never sped, and his mother never sped while he was in the car. He'd had his driver's license for a little over a year, but had only ever driven in the city, and he'd never gone over the posted speed limit. So riding at just under 80mph with Elizabeth was the fastest he'd ever gone. We're okay we're okay we're doing fine we're supposed to be moving this fast this is normal this happens all the time my organs are not going to fly out of my body He tried focusing on the GPS, gripping the sides with both hands and leaning in to let the screen fill as much of his field of vision as possible. "Looks like we're about 60 miles from the next waypoint, we should be there in... oh," he swiveled his head slightly, caught a glimpse of the passing terrain, and quickly turned back to the monitor. "Ab-bout... about 45 minutes. Yeah, 45 minutes. And Veronica and Lulu should be here in... let's see..." He tore his grip and gaze from the GPS to look at the calculator function on his phone, "okay, they'll be here in about 90 minutes, so we'll have about 45 minutes to get set up. That should be enough time, yeah?"

Artificer Heroditus tore his gaze away from Magenta and extended a hand to Ryder, "ah, so you are the one I have heard so much about. An honor to finally meet with you. I would very much like speak with you about your automata, whenever you are free. Atlantis had several such creations, before The Sinking, though none so small, and I... I..." He stopped suddenly as he caught sight of the struggling-to-get-up Chronia, or rather the temporal magics that suffused her. He had become accustomed to seeing a wide variety of magics amongst the students of Claremont, but this was something altogether new to him. Most Atlanteans feared & hated new things, but Heroditus was not like most Altanteans. "Ah," he returned his focus to Ryder, "I am sorry, something had just come up which requires my attention. I am very interested in continuing this conversation, though. Until then," he gave a quick bow, then made his way towards Kendra.

Artificer Heroditus made his way over to Danica, still somewhat agog at the surroundings. "Thank you. This seems to be quite a popular event you have organized. Are most Valentine's Day parties this... big?" He glanced around again, "my understanding was that this holiday was centered on, ah, romantic love, and so the celebrations would be more... intimate? And- oh!" His attention was suddenly drawn to the tiny orchid mantis on Danica's shell, "ah, yes, I have heard of Ryder, and his arthropod automata, seen him a few times in passing, but not yet had the chance to speak with him." He leaned forward a bit, squinting at Magenta, "my, my, you are well-constructed." Danica's comments on food went largely unheard.
