I believe that makes it my turn. 3 HPs. Fatigued. Brain's in Combat Mode Belt has Force Field up. Gadget is on Obscure Radio/Tech Scanner. Was Dok able to get a sufficient scan of the smashed remote & Malice's armor to recreate it?

You failed to mention any of those. You also failed to mention those. We can't count things you don't let us know about. Knight, I'll edit yours. Rav, I'll edit yours once you tell us who you want those points to go to. -
"I haff not seen as much of de city as I vould like," Archeville confessed between small bites of the Spanferkel, "but it is someding I keep meaning to do. I try not to confine meinself solely to de laboratories und universities, I know dere are many vays I can help improve conditions for all. It is vhy I funnel a considerable portion of ArcheTech's resources into programs for social reform, as vells as scholarships und grants so dose less vell-off can afford to further deir education." Though he displayed fine manner while dining, Mona could see a hunger in his eyes, and sense that a part of him wanted to just tear into the feast before him, like a football fan at a Sunday buffet. Or... was it something else he wanted to tear into? "It is also vhy I built dis place," he continued, making a grand sweeping motion his arms. "You see, Schloss Wissenschaft is not just a branch of ArcheTech, designed for display as vell as research und development. Nor is it a 'home avay from home' for me, dough dat is vhat de top half of de massive central tower is. It is also a school, mit facilities to accommodate hundreds of students! Of course, ve haff to keep de classrooms und de research laboratories vell separated from von anozher, und de students who come here tend to be de curious sort vho delights in roaming de corridors after curfew und poking deir noses in places dey ought not... but dat is vhat de state-of-de-art infirmary is for," he chuckled.

Bluff check to make Sextus think DH's really trying to seek comfort & safety in her arms, not grapple her for Avenger to wail on: Bluff check vs. Sister Sextus (1d20+1=17) (plus whatever conditional modifiers might apply) Alright, let's take the new grapple rules out for a spin. Melee attack (for grapple) (1d20+9=11) Yeah, I'm using an HP to re-roll that. Melee attack (for grapple); HP re-roll (1d20+9=24) Grapple check (1d20+16=34) Oooh

Dead Men Do Tell Tales (IC)
Dr Archeville replied to Avenger Assembled's topic in The Theatre District
Dead Had attempted to keep his face calm and flat as Sextus described all the horrible, terrible things she was planning to do to/with his animate corpse. AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! Thankfully, the fact he was an animate corpse, and lacked many autonomic reflexes and facial tics, made this a bit easier. But would his skills at deception hold out in a more active ploy? "Oh no!," the Revoltin' Revenant squealed as Avenger (semi-)appeared and began waylaying cultists. "It's him... that Avenger feller! I hear he kills vampires an' other undead! He began clambering all over Sextus, hugging her tight and generally making a spectacle of himself. "Oh, help me, sweetie, save me! I bet he's gonna take my head and give it to that horrible Wander girl! Or... or to that undead-hunting pixie! The one with a pig's head, 'cuz she lost her own!" -
Archeville had, of course, done some research into his new patient, combing through public records of her exploits and adventures. He even learned of the unfortunate anime that was made of her. He even knew some details about her transformation, and going back through his records found that he had actually be consulted on stabilizing her transmogrification (though the scientists asking him did so in such a general and roundabout way that he was never entirely sure who he was helping). "Sorry to keep you vaiting, Ms. Fusion, I- oh!" He had not expected her to have her face uncovered, much less be 'out of costume'. At least, not yet. "Mein metahuman patients are usually still in full costume vhen I first see dem, und I haff to later tell dem to remove it so I can perform my examinations. Dis is a pleasant change of pace. So, here for a routine check-up, or is dere someding specific concerning you?"

A Doktor Who Makes House Calls?! [IC] [Closed]
Dr Archeville replied to Dr Archeville's topic in North Bay
"Danke schön, fraulein Vhite," Archeville said with a curt half-bow before entering. Based on movies some of the other Claremonters had wrangled her into watching, she almost expected him to click the backs of his heels, but he did not. "Haff you been vorking mit de family long?" Soon they were in the library, which the Doktor looked on with an odd mix of approval (for the sheer size and complexity) and disdain (for the subject matter). "Oh, ja, ja, dis vill do just fine. Ah, dat table dere, please," he said as he began clearing it, moving the books and scrolls and whatnot to the floor underneath. "Now, let me see... young Jack vould haff turned four months old a few days ago, so dere are several benchmarks he should haff reached. Und now is de time for a second round of immunizations, vhich I brought mit me," he patted the little black bag in his hands. "In your time mit him, haff you noticed anyding unusual? Not just unusual compared to ozher children, but unusual for him, based on prior established patterns?"- 121 replies

Archeville spared a precious moment to de-cloak himself, so his allies would know where he was (and thus how to best protect him). He was surprised at how big an area Gossamer's hair covered, and even more surprised at Midnight's contribution. "Dat... dat is excellent vork, ja,!" the Doktor cheered as he checked Havok's machine and saw its signals were being blocked. He retrieved his Electromagnetic Screwdriver, and turned to the others, "alright, Havok is down, und his device disabled. His robots are still active, but dey should not be much more trouble; main ding is to make sure dey do not carry Havok avay." The super-scientist quickly turned at looked where he'd deposited the armored megalomaniac, hoping he was still there.

Archeville seemed truly impressed at Mona's critique of the brew. "I see I am not de only knowledgeable von!," he said, beaming, and clinked his glass to hers. "Und as for your mother," he said between a swallow of beer, "I shall be sure she gets copies of de recipes. Vell... some of de recipes," he added with a wink. "Ah, mein condolences on de loss of your fazher... but, ja, I do recognize Zandipour's name!" he said, slapping the table. "Helped design the new cultural center near de spot vhere Centurion d... rove back Omega, ja?" "Your sister... vould be entering college in de fall, ja?" he asked as he portioned out a helping of hasenpfeffer for himself, as well as a few choice slices of the Spanferkel. "Is she strong in de sciences?"

... but the Exchange Rates are Murder! [IC]
Dr Archeville replied to Dr Archeville's topic in North Bay
"Ya heard the man," the flaming-eyed zombie told the other as he clambered onto Midnight's bike. "Get inside that house, there, but don't touch nothin'. Er, find a fireplace, an' sit down in front'a it." [bg=#000000]... okay... [/bg] The dead man rose from Travis' front yard, and slowly shambled inside. "Hunh, I ain't ever rid one'a these before. Always thought it was too dangerous...." -
"He's got a heart?," the Revoltin' Revenant quipped. "Heh, nah, nah, I'm sure he's a... fine... er... guy," he stammered out apologetically. "Actually, no, an' that's been worryin' me somethin' fierce." The zombie cocked his head slightly, "somehin' rilin' 'em up, and' I ain't found out what yet, 'cuz they don't know, it's jes' a... a feelin' they got. Ain't never seen nothin' like it." An' speakin'a things I ain't never seen the like of... "Kid," the zombie address the Cthulhu-esque hero, "I ain't gonna lie -- you freak me out. An' given th' things I seen, that's sayin' somethin'. But, Nick here vouches for ya, an'... well...." Dead Head extended his hand to Kid Cthulhu, "if'n ya want in on the Midnighters, ya'd get my vote."

[Interceptors] Zombie Powder is a Helluva Drug [IC]
Dr Archeville replied to Dr Archeville's topic in West End
The two young men were all too eager to help Chica!Grim, beckoning her into their party and offering her a seat (well, a countertop) to rest on. One offered to examine her ankle, boasting of being a pre-med student; his companion corrected him, reminding him that he was, in fact, pre-law. The young lady in the building froze when she saw Jack's acrobatic flourish. "" she stammered into the phone, then snapped it shut and returned Jack's coy look. Well, as best she could, given that she was mostly giving him a dreamy 'ohmygod it's a celebrity!' look. " Colt's keen eyes (and x-ray scope) see no hint of any danger in the apartment, or even approaching it. -

"Ways I hear it," the Revoltin' Revenant chimed in, "Hades bein' a jerk ain't nothin' new, in part 'cuz'a Christianity co-optin' 'is looks fer their Satan imagery." He galcned over at Heyzel, and gave a slight shrug. "Like how Loki got a lot more evil once the Norse came in contact with missionaries, an' they associated his trickster ways with bein' a jerk jes' fer the sake'a bein' a jerk. An'... somethin' 'bout fire... " He gave another shrug, "I dunno, I'm still readin' a ton'a Phantom's books. An' old scrolls. An' stone tablets. An' this one lil' crystal thing what speaks in yer head an'.... eh, nevermind." He cocked his head back at Nick, "so, got a decent place t'stay?"

"Hello, Mrs... er, Fusion!," the young blonde receptionist said in a voice as perky as her appearance. "Doktor Archeville is expecting you, up on the seventh floor. Here," she continued, holding out a VISITORS ID badge attached to a blue lanyard, "you'll need this to get around." Fusion briefly wondered which had a higher percentage of plastic, the ID badge or the receptionist's chest. "There's an elevator right down that hallway," she went on, pointing to the largest of the hallways behind her, "and once you step off, look for the arrows on the floor and walls; they're keyed to the badge and will take you to an examination room. Have a super day!" Elsewhere, on the ninth floor, Archeville was going over some test results from his latest experiments -- new types of laser welders, for use in non-standard environments such as underwater or in vacuum -- when his beeper alerted him of Fusion's arrival. "Alright, gang," he said to the other technicians, "I am needed elsevhere. You are good to go from here, ja?"

"Dat can be our little secret, den," he replied, winking, as he served up a bowl of the hasenpfeffer. Mona did make out some vegetables in the dish, onions and potatoes and carrots; though the smell was quite different, someone going solely by appearance could mistake it for a basic pot roast. "De Milbenkäse may not be to your liking -- even de younger, lighter vons," he said as he fixed her a small plate with the three different colors of cheese, "haff a strong flavor, mit bitter notes but a zesty aftertaste; de darker und older samples even moreso. Den dere is de unique process it undergoes vhen being made, vhich... actually makes it fall into a legal gray area. See, most cheese are made mit de aid of bacteria, or mold, but dis cheese is made mit de aid of Tyroglyphus casei, a type of mite; their digestive juices ferment de milk, und some of dem cling to de rind even vhen served. European Community regulations allow for de sale of foodstuffs containing living animals, if dey are 'prepared for placing on the market for human consumption,' but, cheese mites or their digestive juices are not explicitly permitted as additives for cheese under de German Zusatzstoff-Zulassungsverordnung -- de 'Additive Approval Regulations' -- und de Käseverordnung -- de 'Cheese Regulations'." "Dere is only von ozher cheese in de vorld made mit mites, und dat is Mimolette, a French cheese." "Ah, de beers!" He dashed over to another part of the table, and in a flash brought back two dark bottles and two steins. "I prefer de darker lagers, like Bocks -- more food energy und nutrients. Many monasteries in Europe brewed deir own beers to consume during fasts, since dey vere sufficient to sustain them through deir daily routines even vhen fasting. A bit too heavy to serve mit a meal, dough, especially von as full as dis, sooo...." Another flash of movement, and he was back with two glasses and three bottles. "As I promised earlier, ve haff here Apfelkorn, Bärenfang, und Ratzeputz. Oh, und...." another flash, and he was back with a darker bottle, "Schwarzbier, someding of a 'national beer of Germany,' und vhich I can mit authority say goes exquisitely vell mit Hasenpfeffer." "So... you say your mother vould disapprove of dis feast," he said in a warmer, more conversational tone as he poured them both a Schwarzbier. "Vhat of your fazher? Brothers or sisters?"

Dr Archeville replied to Dr Archeville's topic in North Bay
"Ach, I knew dis vould happen sooner or later," he said, briefly rubbing the bridge of his nose. "Dis is precisely vhy I volunteered to make house calls for dem -- given our schedules, it is easier for me to come to dem, dan it is for dem to come to me. Vell, marginally easier..." "If it vould make you more comfortable to contact dem, und you haff some vay to do so, den by all means, please, call."- 121 replies

Well, that went... horribly. Still, I got at least one lead, and I know what Lewis' pals looks like, so some good came of it. The overclothed stranger nodded politely as the small family left, and soon he also rose and headed out. Before leaving, though, he attempted to track down Father David, and expressed concern over the welfare of little Gina. "No secret times're tough on every soul in here, but a kid... well, seems they could use a bit more help." "Guess I'm headed t'Lincoln next," he muttered as he exited the church/soup kitchen, thinking aloud on the off-chance someone nearby might overhear and follow. He kept the layers on -- no sense in tipping his hand just yet -- and slowly made his way to the bridge.
