Jack of All Blades and Phalanx were both melee-ing Knievel, so they might be in it. (Dok's reasonably certain they can see/accurately sense though it.) And since I can't tell where Knievel, Malice, and GiantRobo are in relation to one another (save that Giantroob interposed on Knievel's behalf, so it's probably right next to him), it's possible that all three baddies aren't in the smoke. (This seems to be one of those rare occasions a map would be useful.)

Please remember to make an entry for this for the Timeline.

No he cannot, since the people in the smoke have total concealment from his visual senses.

Dr Archeville replied to Carces's topic in Archived Characters
You'll also need to give sample stats for the monster forms he regularly assumes. -

Ah, you're right on the Mimic thing. Which seems more than a bit broken. -
Character for outside of Freedom City- Mega Man [WIP]

It'd help us if things (like his feats and powers) were listed alphabetically. Organization can help you, too His Attack of 8 + Damage 16 (Mega-Buster) puts him at PL 12. (By default, M&M caps are "hard" caps; you cannot buy more ranks than you'd be allowed and just not use them.) Your Mimic should be 36pp, not 24, due to the Duration extra. VP's really should not be in an Array. If you're really basing him of the Blue Bomb, you don't need Nemesis, just Mimic. With Nemesis, you can make something to take advantage of their weakness without having to encounter someone with an actual opposing power. I.e., you could use Nemesis to gain Flame Man's fire blast while fighting Ice Man without ever having to actually encounter Flame Man. Also, you really should post this on the ATT, since any Ref giving you advice here is going (by habit) to do so from the view of a Ref approving a char for this board. -
Is Phalanx or Midnight up next?

[Interceptors] Zombie Powder is a Helluva Drug [IC]
Dr Archeville replied to Dr Archeville's topic in West End
Colt found the teams worst fears were true: just about every apartment had at least one person in it, and most had three or four. And they were all very much alive, going about their nightly tasks. The largest concentration of people was, of course, in the two apartments directly under the one Jack and Grim were going to, a party of some sort. Jack, going in through the front, found a small hitch in his plan: an attractive girl, late teens/early 20s, on the landing between the 2nd and 3rd floor, yammering away on a cell phone. Grim found a similar problem: two young gentlemen of the streets, coming out of the apartment directly below the one towards which she was headed, discussing the finer points of a particular woman's anatomy while knocking back some cervezas. -
Doktor Archeville checks in on Avenger & Phantom's baby, and horrible things happen. Kid Cthulhu will also be appearing. Due to their association with the family/baby, Ouroboros and Wander are also welcome. Dok's got his Enhanced Wis going, for the boosts to Medicine, Notice, and Sense Motive.

Date: August 18th, 2010. Evening. Freedom City was no stranger to flying people in its skies. One such figure, carrying a black doctor's bag, was flying east, from the ultra-tech sector of Hanover to the posh Old World neighborhoods of North Bay. "Jack? Taylor?," Archeville's rich tenor voice called out as he touched down in their front yard. "Sorry I am a bit late; dings got a bit... messy at de laboratory." Doktor Archeville had been by many times since the birth of Avenger & Phantom's child, in part because he knew how stretched everyone's schedule got to be.

Sure, as long as you understand what the stats and such mean Sure. Int (and Dex, Wis, and Cha) are limited to a modifier no higher than (your PL +5), so you can have an Int of up to 40 (a +15 mod). And while 24-25 is listed as "peak of human achievement," that just applies to Real World humans. A non-mutant human in the FC 'verse can have stats -- particularly mental stats -- above 25 with "he's just that danged good" as the only justification.

"Ah, not dat vay, liebchen," Archeville called as Fulcrum began hovering into the great hall beyond. "Our destination is actually down de hallvay, to de right." The hallway between the two great halls lead off in opposite directions, and the direction he indicated took a sharp turn around the hall Mona had begun to enter. As she followed her host's directions to yet a third great hall, she saw what was clearly a great banquet hall, with a grand fireplace on one side (with roaring fire), and a long table filled with an assortment of delectable foods, including an entire roast pig! A handful of staff, all apparently human (or else exceedingly lifelike androids) hastened to put the finishing touches on the setting, lighting candles, doing a quick final count on the silverware, and arranging the dishes in an aesthetically pleasing manner. Archeville said something in German -- praise, judging by his tone and the pat on the back he gave one of the servants -- and they all exchanged a few brief words. They finished the tasks they were working on, then left out the double doors at the far end of the hall. Mona could swear she'd seen a few of them passing knowing glances and winks amongst each other. "I told dem I dought sey had done a fine job," he said as he pulled out a char for his guest, "und reqvested a bit of privacy for de evening. Now, as to your qvestion: I did know mein fazher, Varick Heinrich Archeville." "Mein mother, Cynthia, died due to complications during childbirth," he continued, somberness creeping into his voice,"leaving him to raise me by himself. He... fell seriously ill vhen I vas thirteen, und vas unabe to care for himself, or for me. I had no ozher family, und adoptions are tricky at best, so I vas -- to use de American term -- a vard of de state for several years."

"Well I think," the Revoltin' Revenant piped up, "that the fella callin' hisself Baron Samedi ain't Baron Samedi, but really is Baron Kriminel, an' is jes' claimin' t'be Samedi." "Still aint' worked out why he'd do that," the zombie continued, stroking his chin... until it came off in his hand. He looked down at it, up to Nick and Heyzel, then back at it, and quickly slapped it back on, and made a few bites at the air to test it. "'kay, seems t'be back on. Now, where was... oh, right. Don't know why Kriminel'd make hisself out to be Samedi, 'less it's some long-term con he's pullin'. Mebe he figures he can get more worshipers dat way... though, the question then'd be, where's tha real Samedi?"

"Vell...." he began coyly as he lead her inside through the massive double doors, "sort of. It vas originally a minor keep, merely a five-story tower, avarded to von of mein ancestors -- Virgil Hartwig Archeville -- who had served in many battles during de eighteenth century. It remained in de family for three generations, but vas lost vhen his grandson, Varian Hoffman Archeville, vas caugt trying to play Austria und Prussia against de ozher for his own benefit." The first thing to catch Mona's eye was he massive medical center to her right, behind large glass walls. Through it she saw a few doctors and researches working, some of whom looked up and either waved or quickly ducked back down into their work; Archeville smiled and waved at them all. To the left was a Quarantine Center (also glass-walled, and, mercifully, empty), and up ahead, where the hall met at a t-intersection, were living quarters. Her host pointed to the right, but headed left. "Down dat vay, past de staff qvarters, are de main life science research und development laboratories, as vell as de main surveillance center for internal affairs. Dis vay, dough, is de elevator, vhich will take us down to de second floor. Dat is vhere de banquet hall is; I hope you are ready for a meal fit for... vell..." He chuckled, "not a king, but somevon doing vell enough." "Anyvay," he continued as they approached a large elevator at the end of the hall, "Varian lost it, und his son -- Victor, mit a c, a glass-blower und silversmith by trade -- never could gather de money or clout to reclaim it. His son, Verrill, mein grandfazher, vas..." Images of newsreels covering the atrocities his grandfather committed during World War II filled his mind for a moment. Which, for his super-fast mind, was far, far too long. "... preoccupied mit ozher tasks to pursue reclaiming it." The elevator slid open noiselessly, revealing a plush interior with more classical music piping through. "Varian lost it, und his son -- Victor, mit a c, a glass-blower und silversmith by trade -- never could gather de money or clout to reclaim it. His son, Verrill -- mein fazher -- never tried to reclaim it. After I turned sixteen, und mein intellect vas clearly evident to de state organization vhich had raised me, I vas offered de chance to reclaim it, provided I vorked on certain projekts for dem." Once they entered, Archeville pushed a shiny brass-rimmed button, and the elevator gracefully moved down. "I accepted, of course, und mitin a year had most of de new superstructure in place. De main tower you saw is actually built directly atop und around de original tower." When the elevator opened, Fulcrum was greeted by a vast empty hall. Ahead of her were open double doors through which she could see a hallway and another equally large hall. Along the top of the hall they were in now -- which she could easily see being used as a throne room, and the hall beyond as a grand ballroom -- was a balcony. She noted that along the top of the walls, under the balconies, were numerous hooks and fasteners, which could be used to hold a variety of items, like paintings or tapestries, though at the moment the walls were bare. The hall they were in was empty, but Mona thought she saw some movement in the hall beyond.

Modern movie superheroes are bad role models for boys as they promote violence and revenge as a way of life, claim psychologists. A rebuttal from the esteemed Mister Rogers.

School's starting soon (students are already moving back in at my college), so I thought I'd bump this.

One system restore later (and an update of Spybot and Avast), and everything on my home comp seems fine.
-
My home comp's got a nasty virus, not sure how long it's going to take to clear. Might not be on much for the next few days. EDIT: Seems I can still access the 'net. The vrus (or whatever) is mainly just having Windows Security Alert messages pop up very few seconds, and not letting me open certain apps (like my antivrus and antimalware scanners). Ironically, this happened the day after I renewed my McAfee Security Center. (Also, the day after I downloaded a free copy of Civilization 2 from Best Old Games.com)

Dead Head was liking this Cimitiere fellow more and more. I'll have t'ask him about Charon. "Loa ain't so bad," the Revoltin' Revenant replied to Freedom Angel, "'least, not most'a 'em. Samedi,' course -- I'd spit when sayin' 'is name if'n I could -- is the rotten apple'a tha lot. Always did wonder how much'a that is his doin', an' how much is tha fella he's ridin'." He turned to Nick, firs his head then the rest of his body. "You look like ya might know an answer ta that. Got any ideas?"
-
"Nah, no trouble," the Revoltin' Revenant repled as he waved to Ouroboros and Hellion. "Took some doin' ta get it all set up, though. Feet an' head was easy ta do, but the hands wus trickier. Fortunately, I knew a few fellas what was glad ta help me, so-" "Sonuva!," he spat as he instinctively reached behind him for his shovel, then remembered it wasn't there. Calming, he leaned a bit closer to Nick, "It's a miracle that kid ain't got hisself banished by now. Guess he really is a good egg." The zombie's head throbbed, and would throughout the evening. Hey, new gal there shaking the Kid's hand. I'll have t'remember t'introduce myself.
