  1. He can tell they're basic bullets, nothing fancy or custom. Kind you'd find in any common gangbanger's guns. Anything more would require... well, more.
  2. You know he and Dead Head have to team up some time.
  3. "I 'preciate that," the Revoltin' Revenant replied, rising with the bundle of junk and giving a slight bow. "Jes' lemme get this stored away someplace safe, an' we'll get ta work." One quick trip to an unlocked storage shed near St. Stephen's church later, and the super-zombie was ready to go. "So, you managed ta learn that teleportin' trick tha gods know? 'Cuz if not, we's got some walkin' ahead'a us. Figured we'd hit tha Greek section'a West End first." Wonder if this's got anythin' t'do with th'increased graverobber an' cultist activity I been noticin'?
  4. "An' then what?," Dead Head asked. "I mean... is there an actual pan here? Gettin' that Mask from Melinda'd be good, sure, but if she's got Vamped-Up Freedom Leaguer an' Vamped-Up Next Gen, well..." The zombie shrugged, "cain't ya just, like, put a barrier on tha dimension'r somethin', make it so nothin' can get in'r out?" "Yeah," he said halfd a moment later, "I guess that would make it too easy." He shot an uneasy look at Other!Avenger, I really, really don't like this.
  5. [bg=#000000]Don't... know...[/bg] "Says 'e don't know," the zombie -- the one standing -- replied, quickly putting his hands up in a defensive posture, "but, that don't mean he don't know! It's all in how y'ask tha question!" The glowing-eyed zombie turned to the still-seated zombie, "hey there. How ya doin'?" [bg=#000000]... uhhh...[/bg] "Yeah, that happens," he replied, nodding. It put one arm around the other's shoulder, "Listen, my friend here's lookin' fer someone, an' I'm lookin' ta help you. Now, where ya been recently?" [bg=#000000]Cave... wet... water... [/bg] It looked up at Trevor, eyes blazing, "says a cave an' water." It turned back to the other, "water in tha cave? Near it?" [bg=#000000]Yes... both... I... remember... diving... diving in the... water... with a s-scuba tank... [/bg] The first zombie got a concerned look on its face, "uh-oh... I think 'e's startin' ta remember..." [bg=#000000]Scuba diving... by myself, on a clear, moonless night... I remember wanting to... to... to check out some rare cave fish, and... and they'd come out the furthest on... on nights with no moon. Wait... did I die? Was I killed? What happened to me?![/bg] The seated zombie began twitching and jerking about, and weird, inhuman sounds came from its throat.
  6. Though the tracks are quite easy to see in the heavy snow, Colt and Jack lose sight of them about 100 feet beyond the house. Which is to say, the tracks disappear, as if the zombies either teleported away, were picked up by a flyer, spontaneously imploded, or... something. Grim's recon shows no one in the house, alive, dead, or undead. If she'd had any doubt that this had been a gang banger's hangout/crack house, though, they were quickly squashed. She found several empty vials and bullet casings, empty liquor and beer bottles, and partially eaten food. Several semi-clean spots indicated where large equipment had been, which had clearly been dragged out of the building. She pointed out there bullet casings to Colt. He found several bullets, too, embedded in walls, and most are covered in specks of black blood. A casual study of the place tells Colt that all were fired from inside, at targets either right outside, or targets inside, and the firefight covered the entire house.

4 from Device you traded in + 6 you'll be getting this month to add in... ah, but you're not using all of those 6pps; it's Minion 12, not Minion 17.

So you've basically spent 10 ("real") pp on this, and the biggest thing it does is Knowledge and other Int-based skill checks, and Master Plan. I'm fine with it. (And, of course, dig the backstory for it )
  9. Best not be too forward too quick, he might think I'm one'a the kidnappers lookin' fer new recruits. I'll check 'im back later. The newcomer nodded to the father and gave a noncommittal grunt. As the holy man moved on, he kept an eye on him, but tried to not make it appear he was keeping an eye on him. Which probably didn't work out that well, as he -- like most zombies -- was not terribly god at stealth. The Revoltin' Revenant did have a decent eye, though, and so tried to also keep his eyes peeled for anything -- or anyone -- that seemed out of place. Unusually shiny and new cooking utensils or holy symbols, potentially a sign of a payoff, or transients who appeared more interested in scoping out other people than keeping an eye on their own food and meager possessions.
  10. Free Action: HP to nix Fatigue (3 left now) Full Round Action: switch Tentacle Brain to Enhanced Intelligence Free Action: Extra Effort to SURGE Move Action: Knowledge (Technology) check. Skill Mastery to Take 10, getting a 38 Will be Fatigued at start of next round.
  11. "Right, right, gotcha," he said, nodding. Erin may have been concerned that his head was going to nod right off, but it did not. "An' how 'bout the real reason yer so fired up ta get me in this suit? Are ya really interested in makin' me look like a 'respectable superhero,' or jes' in hidin' mah 'pearance so's you don't have ta look at me? 'Cuz if that's what this is, well...," he gave a slight shrug, "that's kinda goin' 'gainst doctor's orders, ain't it?"
  12. "Ya'd think it'd be easy t'avoid gettin' caught and strapped t'operatin' tables or sacrificial altars," he replied, "but you'd be wrong. Well, mebe it is easy fer you, yer tons stronger an' faster than I am. I'm stronger than I was when I was livin', but not 'snap handcuffs' strong. So, goin' t'pieces is how I get out." "An' sturdy's good," he continued as the gloved hand tried climbing up his leg, "but I need mobility. Mebe somethin' with velcro, easy on/easy off? An'... well... " He chewed his lower lip a bit, a sight which made Erin quite uncomfortable, "the colors an' cut are important. I mean, I don't just throw on whatever I find in a dumpster, I do sort through things. Beggars may not afford t'be choosers, but I ain't no beggar, I don't need ta scrounge fer food or shelter or clothes. You know how many times I've run around naked as the day I was born?" "An', it's a team outfit, right?" The hand finally made it up his leg and chest and went to scrabble down his arm to its wrist, but slid too far too fast and hit the ground again. ""So... wouldn't word start goin' 'round that I'm on tha team? No offense ta yer friends, but I don't really want that; I done mah time in high school already."
  13. [bg=#000000]Those are some nice threads.[/bg] "Eh, I dunno," he replied, though not directly to Erin. "Got anythin' in a different color? I'm more of an 'Autumn'. Though, fer what it's worth," he jerked a thumb back to an apparently empty spot behind him, "tha kid seems ta like 'em." He did a few stretches in the outfit, nothing too fancy but enough to get a feel for it. Well, as much a feel for it as he could get, considering his muted tactile senses. And then his left hand fell off. It flopped awkwardly on the ground, trying to right itself, and when it did it moved slowly in the glove. "Yeah, see, that ain't so good," he remarked, now looking fully at Erin. "I needs mah mobility. How'm I gonna throw the switch that'll stop some mad scientist's plans while strapped to his operatin' table, if I cain't get mah hands free to skitter over?"
  14. *has an image of Knievel standing behind Malice, guiding his gun-arm the same way Patrick Swayze guided Demi Moore in the sculpting scene in Ghost* Fiating something -- like Accurate Extended Radius Ranged Tactile Sense (i.e., fancy motion detector) -- for it to see (giving us HPS ) sounds fine.
  15. Two new shows of interest coming this fall: The Cape (on NBC) and No Ordinary Family (on ABC). From G4's coverage of Comic-Con, it looks like Cape will be a superhero show, but Family will be a show about people with powers.
  16. Ah, right, so he did. What sort of extended action? Skill checks? Mental Quickness applicable? Can Dok tell whether just ripping it out would make things worse?
  17. What action would it be for Dok to retrieve his Gadget from Havok? Move?
  18. Wouldn't that give JoAB two HPs? One for Fiat, one for using a feat that normally requires an HP to use?
  19. Sonuva****, I did forget to have Dok use an HP to clear his fatigue! (Hooray Natural 20!) Thing #2 sounds fair.
  20. Ah, I had missed that. Hooray Reflex! But why's Malice getting a miss chance? You said the "bots" got a miss chance b/c they're cyborgs so the signal-scrambling Dok's got up scrambles their tech sensors, but not their organic bits. (I can't imagine they wouldn't have unenhanced -- and thus scrmable-able -- eyes and ears, but we're already past that.) If Malice's armor is like most suits of powered armor, his organic eyes & such won't matter, because he's reliant on what the armor's sensors show him; the only way he'd be able to use his own eyes and see with them is to pop open the faceplate of his armor, otherwise he's looking at snowy vidscreen and hearing nothing but hissing static.
  21. Oh, and Reflex save vs. Knievel's Area Adrenla Cannon (DC 23) (1d20+6=26) w00t! Dok's Toughness save: Dok's Impervious 15 = no damage even if he'd failed the Reflex save (i.e., I wasted a natural 20! )
  22. Is Malice not affected by Dok's Obscure?
  23. Archeville deactivated the audio masking portion of his cloaking field. He wanted Havok to hear him. "" Havok suddenly heard, right as another precise strike jostled his armor's sensor bundles. "" Another precise shot, severing the flamethrower's fuel line. "" While focused on keeping the repulsorlift system functional (so he did not plummet), Havok was unaware that Archeville had fed his flamethrower's fuel line into his particle cannon's current regulator. "" the Doktor hissed. And then he twisted Havok's arm in such a way that it tripped the trigger for his particle cannon, when sent a a few sparks up the flamethrower fuel line and ignited the small tank of fuel. A spectacular explosion followed, though it was largely contained inside Havok's armor.
