  1. Exxxcellent. Setting Gadgets to Per this thread, it would normally take 1 hour to use that ESP to search the building, but Doc's Mental Quickness (boosted by the Quickness in the Gadget) reduces that to 7.2 seconds. What's he looking for? Everything. Specifically, though, where Knievel and Malice and their quirky miniboss squad are.
  2. That'd work fine, sure. Let me know what you've got that thread pinned down, and then I'll start our next one.
  3. The OOC thread for the first meeting of Lady Winter & Dead Head.
  4. Date: June 5th, 2010 (a Saturday) Sunrise 5:32am, sunset 8:21pm. High 92 oF, low 72 oF; clear, wind ~9mph SW. North Bay is a posh district of expensive waterfront homes and historic mansions owned by some of Freedom City's wealthiest families. It features exclusive yacht clubs and beachfront property, with few stretches of public beach. During the holiday season, North Bay's stately mansions are beautifully decorated and there are tours to see them. There were also a fair number of bodies buried up there. And not all of them rested peacefully. Which is why, slowly making his way up from his usual haunt of Lantern Hill, the Revoltin' Revenant known as Dead Head came to the area. He knew there were those he could help here, in his own unique fashion, and he intended to do so. So focused was he on his task, though, that he did not notice the layer of frost which covered the headstones of the small family plot he was shambling through....
  5. Tentative plans: Sturm und Archeville shifts to a Doc & Displacer thread while Rycon goes off to ArcheTech's personnel office. I start another thread, taking place some time after this (and after Fisticuffs), where Rycon & Kid Cthulhu come by so Doc can check up on her. (The brain surgery takes place 'off-camera'.) During that meeting, Horrible Things happen. Does that work?
  6. Dead Head. Hunh, seems he feels the same way about me as I do about Squidly. The Revoltin' Revenant's grin slackened a bit, and he made a dismissive wave at the masked werewolf. "Yeah, I get that a lot. No skin off my nose." He glanced again at Kid Cthulhu, then back to Lukos, then to Dynamo. "Think I'll be headin' out now; look me up some time. We can team up, be the Quick an' the Dead." He turned and shambled out, chuckling a bit as he went. As he went, he 'thought at' Sage. freaks an' monsters I can' handle, Miss, I'm on a team with a vampire an' a half-demon an' an alien an' a witch. But there's something really weirdin' me out about squid-face there, same way wolf-boy's instinct's are tellin' him t'bury me. I mean t'find out why that is, but I cain't do it here.
  7. Dead Head's used to you living people and your necrophobia.
  8. Dead Head "Science, schmience," the Revoltin' Revenant said as he made a dismissive wave towards Kid Cthulhu. "I-" He looked down at the at the pseudonatural superhero's offered hand, and just stared at it for a moment. Why is that guy makin' me feel so weirded out?! I feel like I either wanna run or bash his head in! Maybe that gal beat me worse than I thought. He then turned to Lukos, and his rictus grin grew wider. "Hey, I can understand not wantin' t'hang out with Avenger there, but me? I'm a fun guy! I'm great at parties, got a million tricks I can do!"
  9. Archeville's mouth formed a tight line for a moment, "Let us not go down that path, ja?" Rift knew some of the things the Doktor was pulling down -- assorted acoustic equipment, microphones and speakers and decibel meters and so on -- but some of the items were completely unknown to him. Then his grin returned, "if you cannot dink of ozher uses, dough, I vould say dat is either an indictment of de American education system, or your own imagination. Haff you tried throwing your voice? Or creating 'energy constructs' from sonic energy?"
  10. "Who didn't I sell 'em to?!" the mechanized mercenary spat. "The Crime League and the Psions both helped set this up! And the Foundry's gonna get a piece of the pie, too! Every ultra-tech supervillain on the planet's gonna benefit from Archeville's genius!" He turned slightly to look at Archeville, "That is what ya wanted, right, Doc? For everyone to benefit from your gifts?" He turned back to Gossamer, "and the icing on the cake is, it's your fault because ya couldn't stop us! HA! So go ahead, send us to jail, lock us up -- I told you, we've already won!"
  11. He needs to use some of those pps to increase his base Attack and Defense to +5 each, per our House Rules. Doing so will require 12pp total.
  12. Archeville grinned and nodded, "indeed so! De alterations to your pineal gland is also an indication dat your phonokinetic abilities -- phono for sound, kinetic for motion or movement -- are psionic in nature." "Dis has advantages und disadvantages," the Doktor explained as he clicked off the hologram and rose from his chair. He walked over to one of the workstations and began pulling items from the cabinets and drawers. "Your abilities are more likely to be influenced by your mental und emotional state, vhich is a notable drawback for von involved in de high-stress vorld of superheroics. On de ozher hand, since your abilities are tied so closely to your mental state, you should haff more freedom in expanding your repertoire of abilities."
  13. Archeville hummed and murmured to himself a bit as he slowly ran the wand a few inches over Rift's head. Rift felt nothing from the scan itself, and after a few moments it was done. "Ah, just as I had suspected, Herr Rift," the Doktor began as he sat back down. He adjusted the wands-like device again, and a life-sized hologram of a human brain -- presumably Rift's own brain -- appeared in the air between them. Another adjustment expanded the holo-brain to several times its normal size, so as to be easier to look at. "Dere are numerous changes to your brain, as vell as a few alterations to your cochlea. Dat is part of your inner ear. De changes in your brain are primarily here, in de temporal lobe, here, in Broca's area, und here, de pineal gland, dough dere are ozher minor changes throughout."
  14. So 8 Bit Theater's done:
  15. Seems this is still on-schedule -- I saw an ad for it the other day. trailer
  16. Was trawling through the ATT the other night, found this related thread.
  17. "My favorite changes from time to time, dough I like dem all. Wagner, Korngold... Bernstein, Gilbert und Sullivan, Rodgers und Hammerstein, und Webber, und Sondheim.... Lately, dough, mein favorite has been... vell..." He hesitated largely because what he was about to say would sound very cliched, "de Rocky Horror Picture Show." When she shifted to talking of her art, he took her hands and flipped them palm up, and began tracing the lines on them with his fingertips, "vhat sort of dings do you sculpt? Abstracts or representational? Vhat medium do you prefer to vork in? Your strength vould afford you a vider variety of materials, I vould imagine; you could mold most metals mit your bare hands as if dey vere clay. Are any of your vorks shown anyvhere? I vould bet dey are. Do you do any vork on commission, by request, or is it all just vhatever captures your fancy?" His voice kept trying to speed up as he thought of more and more questions, but he forced himself to slow and calm down. He looked up at her, locking his eyes to hers. "I... I vould very much like to see more of our vorld. Und I vould very much like to show you more of mein." Several cell phone camera clicks interrupted the moment. Archeville chuckled a bit and shook his head. "Almost makes me miss de Power Corps," he said just loud enough for her to hear. "I am not surprised you vould never dink to order dat brand of coffee," he said in his more carefre tone. "Dallmayr is a German brand, de fifth most popular in mein homeland. It is rare to find it in de States, but since I moved to Freedom I haff made sure Timothy gets a bag or two in every month."
  18. Looks fine to me. :approved:
  19. Sand, show of Quark's freakish brain!
  20. Peng? Still with us?
  21. *collapses the two Immunities into one uber-Immunity.* :approved:
  22. That doesn't work. The Super-Str was bought with points from the Device, points in the Device. The overage is on the cost of the Device itself. To fix it, you either need to [*:2phg3wo6]Drop Restricted 2 from the Device. [*:2phg3wo6]Reduce the Device by one rank, to Device 19 (95 points), so it will cost 78pp and give you 95pp worth of stuff (so you'd have to get rid of 5pp worth of stuff the Device grants). [*:2phg3wo6]Find someplace else to free up 2pp
  23. :Ghostie: That part is right. But the Device itself is 2 points over. Device (Hard to Lose) 20 is 80pp, but you also added Restricted 2, which adds another 2pp.
  24. Also, his Defense: if it's +5 for base, his flat-footed is +2, since your flat-footed defense is one-half your regular Defense. And you always round fractions down. Which means you'd get the same effect by taking base Defense of 4 (8pp), one rank in Dodge Focus (+1 Defense, not when flat-footed), and save 1pp ;)
  25. Still need to remove Impervious from next to Con. Toughness should read Toughness: +15 (Impervious 10) Knockback is -12 -- -1 per rank of Impervious Toughness, and an additional -1 per 2 ranks (rounded down) of non-Impervious Toughness. Please alphabetize his feats. And list Wealth as Benefit (Wealth). And is he supposed to be Fearless on his own, without the Armor, or only with the suit on? Powers are still off -- his Device is 82pp, not 80. With Super-Str 6, his total effective Str is 70, not 60. (12 base, +28 Enhanced Str, +30 from Super-Str). The weight you have listed is right, though Also, his Super-Str should conform to the rest of the sheet format. Thus, Super Strength 6 (total effective Str 70; Hvy Load 200 tons; Power Feats: Groundstrike, Shockwave, Super-Breath, Thunderclap) Still needs a DC Block; my last post had a sample of what one would look like for him.
