  1. Not sure that's needed, he's not intentionally trying to frighten anyone. He's like a member of the Addams Family or the Munsters like that But, for the sake of argument, I'll say he "Takes 1," bare minimum, that's a 16.
  2. "It means..." he called out, laughing merrily, "vell, dat is for you to find out!" He was actually flying backwards, lab coat whipping in front of him, dodging this way and that through the corridors; she realized he must have not only committed the layout of the building to memory, but also the routines of most of the employees! (There were still a few near-collisions, though, since not everyone worked to a set schedule.) He had again pulled out a his "Electromagnetic Screwdriver" had it pointed at her, studying the readouts. "Ja, much faster dan de reports indicate... und, better yet, I detect no hint of any surges!" Soon they were on the helipad, and the Doktor hovered a few dozen feet in the air. "Now dat ve are out of dat cramped office, care to show me how fast you can really go?"
  3. Dead Head The creature's hand did indeed feel revolting to Rycon, cold and slightly unresponsive. Pretty much exactly like a corpse's hand would be. "Outcast, hunh? From th' same place as th' Doc up there," he pointed up with his free hand to the Hovering Barcalounger of Doktor Archeville. "I mean, ya kinda sound a bit like him. Jes a bit, though." "Eh, don't worry none 'bout the arm," he replied with a dismissive wave to Fulcrum, "I've suffered a lot worse. Worse than the little lady there was doin', even. Like th'time I got hit by a steamroller. It is rough on the clothes -- I ain't got one of them fancy 'Morphic Molecule' suits like what y'all got -- but I make do." He paused pick up his burger with his free hand, "You'd be surprised at the kinda things folks throw out, how useful a lot of it still is. An' I do mean throw out, not donate; it's a shame how ready so many folks is t' throw stuff out in favor'a somethin' new." Rycon suddenly realized she was still shaking Dead Head's hand, which she attributed to her nervousness. But then she noticed that it was no longer attached to him....
  4. Ah, yeah, I've got Doc actually fiddling with their tech, too (and running some of it through his own sensors, so he can get the skill bonus from his Gadget), so what does 43 on Computers 40 on Knowledge/Life Sciences 40 on Knowledge/Physical Sciences (Skill Mastery, Taking 10 on those three, using full Enhanced Int and Enhanced Skills via Gadget) and Knowledge/Behavioral Sciences (1d20+25=38) reveal?
  5. You can, sure; I believe you have 1 HP left. Her rant wouldn't seem out of place on a DCAU 'toon, so it's perfectly fine. :)
  6. ... y'know, given that PM I sent you about my future plans for Doc, that's not an impossible scenario. What he's doing: a test of her flight speed, using the sensors in his Electromagnetic Screwdriver to record her speed, energy levels, et cetera. And seeing how much she wants to chase him ... she's running after him, right?
  7. Twig "snaps" and attacks us, distracting us while Green Man regenerates? Vine Monsters from Space appear, investigating the death of their brother?
  8. It is :)
  9. Dead Head "I'm..." the creature paused, chewed thoughtfully on a bite from its burger, "complicated." "No, no, that ain't right," it quickly corrected. "I'm actually pretty simple. Well, not 'simple' simple, but... " The creature put its food down on a nearby bench, wiped its hands on its jeans, and extended one, "Folks call me Dead Head. Pleased t'meetcha!" The creature's rictus grin grew a bit wider.
  10. TK without the Damage extra isn't limited by PL.
  11. Dead Head in House of L?
  12. Dead Head The Revoltin' Revenant chuckled at Dynamo's joke, "Oh, I'll repay ya later. After all, I know some thing ya can't run from. Okay, remember what Mom always said: small bites, chew thoroughly, at least 30 times before swallowing, and chew with my mouth closed. He balanced the fries and hot dog in the crook of his right arm, and held the burger in his left hand. Before taking a bite, he noticed the trenchoated girl talking to him. "Well, yer right, zombies ain't intelligent or friendly. Which must mean I ain't a zombie, right? I mean, would a zombie eat french fries?," he asked while popping a few in his mouth. He'd have to get rid of those later. As unpleasant as he knew he smelled to others, adding the scent of rotting fried potatoes wouldn't help.
  13. Allies & Enemies The Midnighters (Old & New) A team of other "fringe" types. When things go bump in the night, we're the ones that bump back. Atlas - Big Red Man Incredibly nice guy, which is very good considering his immense strength and toughness. Hope he's doing after the Grue Invasion. Avenger - Vengeful Vampire Reminds me way too much of myself in my early years. Hopefully fatherhood will mellow him. Nick Cimitiere - Psychobilly Necromancer This guy's awesome! Probably never would've met him if I'd never died. Er, un-died. Equinox - Heroic Witch A bit uptight, but maybe she's jes' freaked out by me an' Nick. Solid in a fight, though. Ghost Girl - Gregarious Ghostie I like this one! She's spunky! Yeah, she's probably hidin' or supressin' somethin' dark an' terrible, but she's got time to work that out. Hellion - Hell's Harbinger? On the one hand, he admitted to us he kicked off the Demonic Invasion. On the other hand, Phantom vouches for him, and if she says he's okay... well, I guess I can work with him. Phantom - Pandimensional Protector Kind, caring, yet stern, and super-knowledgeable about magic. What she sees in Avenger, I do not know. But she's mellowing him, which is a good thing. Others Ace Danger - Legendary Lothario ZOMG! (That's what the cool kids these days are saying, right?) All-Star - Overconfident Powerhouse Punches first and maybe asks questions later. He's gonna get himself in deep trouble someday if he don't watch that temper. Blink - Rogue Russian Teleporter One of the first folks I met in this city. Very quiet, didn't learn much. Wonder if she's still around? Breakdown - Boisterous Bio-Boombox Seems okay, if a bit frazzled from all the music. Wonder if he's still hunting vampires with Grimalkin? Dark Star - Super-Singularity Powerful fella, but a bit too "I must be the best hero I can be!". I hope he keeps his happy outlook; we need more people like that. Divine - Amoral Amazon Met her when the angel showed. Says she's a goddess, daughter of two gods. I've seen weirder. Doktor Archeville - Mad Scientist Isn't he supposed to be the villain in the movies? Then again, maybe offering myself as a medical cadaver to his company could be a source of income. Fleur de Joie - Forbearing Flower-Child We fought weird plant-monsters from out space. It was awesome. Seems kinda wallflower-y, though. Freedom Angel - Heaven's Harbinger? I'd probably like him better if he didn't keep trying to "end my tortured existence". Fulcrum - Earnest Paragon Big Red Gal. Good sense of humor, and don't take guff from no one. Grimalkin - Moxie & Mystique Nice gal, but seems a bit overeager on things. Her boyfriend, Breakdown, seemed cool. Jack of All Blades - Scintillating Swashbuckler Another one of the first folks I met. Great guy, very fun, but also very driven. Pretty sure there's something in his past he's trying to cover. Mongrel Angel - Weird Winged Wonder Saw her when the angel came, too. Kinda angel-y herself, but also kinda demon-y. Weird, but seems pleasant enough. Physicus - Alien Legacy This guy's carrying the weight of his world on his shoulders. Gotta be rough. I'm glad I was able to bring him some peace. Tempest - Captaaain Planet! Weird elemental thing, very new to human experience. Shame he disappeared, I bet we could've had some awesome chats. Velocity - Eager Speedster Met her at the Carnival last October, but haven't seen her since the Demon Invasion. Seemed as pleasant as all the papers say. Wander - Horror Survivor She Who Would See Me Mulched. Gotta try and keep my distance from her. Though I still wanna know why she goes all red-eye when she sees me. Enemies Baron Samedi - Ruining the Party for All My dark reflection (or am I his 'dark' reflection?), but also partly responsible for m being what I am. Got a feeling he and I will be clashing a lot.
  14. Dead Head Fulcrum found the zombie's hand was quite cool to the touch. As she shook it, the light of recognition went off in the zombie's eyes. "Oh, yeah, you were at the church when that angel fella showed! Man, was that a wild day!" His expression was completely unchanged when she accidentally broke one of his arms. In truth, he barely even felt it, and it was only her reaction that alerted him to something amiss, though by the time he looked it was already almost completely "healed." "I gotta find me some sturdier clothes," he mused aloud as the amazon turned away, "pickin' have been slim in the Good Will dumpsters." He knew Wander was watching. He still didn't know just what her problem was -- neither of the Jacks had been helpful in that regard. Keep it cool, Deady, don't do anything to upset the psycho. I know, I'll do some decidedly non-zombie-like things. Overhearing snippets of Dynamo's conversation with Gossamer, he waved at the two. "Yo, Speedy! You're the caterer, right? Can I get a burger? Or a hot dog?"
  15. I'm not sure that first one would show on a basic physical. The other two, though, give me ideas And if you don't like what I want, tell me and I'll change it.
  16. "" he replied, "" About half an hour later, Archeville finished up his basic physical exam of Ashley. Here and there a curious look played across his face, but when she asked what it was, he requested silence so he could finish. "" he said at last, "" He gently took her right had and position it palm-up, and held his own right forearm next to hers. He pointed to the veins just barely visible beneath the forearm -- on his, they were blue, but on hers they were white. "" He looked up and smiled at her, "" "" he made a dismissive wave, "" he picked up the two vials of Pepto-Bismol-pink blood he had drawn from her for the labwork, ""
  17. Allies & Enemies: A Brief Assessment Following the ArchEvil Event, all knowledge of superhero secret IDs were removed from Archeville's mind (by Phantom & Scarab) & computer records (by Dragonfly & Miss Americana), and all biological samples and other data were confiscated/destroyed. Arrowhawk -- Angry Archer I knew he'd not treat me with kid gloves -- especially not after what 'I' did to Valkyrie -- and I suppose he thought I'd work out his identity eventually anyway so he went ahead and revealed it to me while I was in Providence. Our crimefighting methods are very different, but we often focus on similar threats; I certainly respect his skills, though I still say he'd do better with something a bit more advanced. Harrier -- Outstanding Omegadrone The first to reveal himself to me, while I was in Providence. We share a past of horrors, and I think I can learn much from how he copes with it. Enemies Captain Knievel - Blustering Beef-Head He embodies everything that is wrong with society. Dryad - Psychotic Plant-Woman The first supervillain I fought when I returned to Freedom. They say you never forget your first, and even if I did not have a near-perfect memory I would never forget this madwoman! Biological samples collected February and March 2008. Malice - Human Supremacist On the one hand, if not for Eric Micheals, it would have taken me much longer to acquire all the resources & personnel I needed to start up ArcheTech. On the other hand, he is an insane psychopath with a severely skewed worldview. I would like to think there is some good in him, somewhere, but I wonder how much of that is wishful thinking, and how much of that is fear that I might turn out like him. The Power Corps - Mechanized Mercenaries I am rather proud of the fact I (with considerable help from Scarab) was able to take down half of this team. I am also quite infuriated that their other half plundered my mind for ultra-tech schematics which they then distributed to the criminal underworld, leading to a surge in upgraded tech-users and all-new tech-based villains.
  18. Doktor Archeville Archeville had been keeping an eye on Wander's assault on Dead Head; he knew her, and parts of her background, but had only heard of the undead creature in passing. Then Avenger stepped in and hit her with his mind-whammy. "Vell," he exclaimed with a sharp clap, "now dat de 'preliminary fight' is out of de vay, I suppose de main events will be starting, ja? I do not plan to participate, but I am here to provide any medical aid in case you get too rambunctious. Hopefully," he paused just long enough to retrieve a beverage (something in a chilled can), "I shall not be called upon for too much."
  19. Please remember to update the Timeline. And while you're there, maybe make a page for Aiko? ;)
  20. That is the Full Power drawback. That's generally something we don't like seeing. And since her revised powers are due to the surgery she got from Doktor Archeville, it's not something he'd leave in her, either.
  21. Sooo many Jacks!
  22. You can post it here for all to see & comment on.
  23. So will anything unusual show up in her physical? (I'm assuming you know what's involved in one of those.)
  24. Ah, well, there's your problem, then: this isn't an MMO, and you shouldn't be making chars as if it was one. ;)
