"Vhat do you mean, 'vhat do I mean'?," Archeville's repeated. "It's ALIVE! It is a living fetus, mit functioning organs, a metabolism, all of dat! In fact, de only anomaly I haff found in him stems from Taylor's side of de equation, not yours. It is nothing serious, dough, or at least does not appear so, but I vould prefer to speak about it in person razher dan over de phone. Vhen vould be a good time to meet up?"

Electricity Form: I'd suggest dropping Flight and just having Teleportation. And drop the Short Range, since teleporting across country over power lines is A) something a body-of-electricity being should be able to do, and is already written in your Char's background. 7pp can get Teleport 7 (700 feet/200 miles; Flaw: Medium/electrically-conductive surfaces); he could get from Mexico City to Freedom City in eleven jumps. Acid Form: Permanent isn't a valid Flaw for Corrosion. I believe you're looking for an Aura... which can get expensive. I would instead suggest taking Blast and/or Strike, with either Penetrating or the Secondary Effect extras.

[Interceptors] Zombie Powder is a Helluva Drug [IC]
Dr Archeville replied to Dr Archeville's topic in West End
The gathered creatures finally batter down the front door, and you can at last see exactly what they are. They shuffle like zombies, they beat down doors like zombies, they moan like zombies, they stare unblinkingly like zombies, but they are dressed in the fashion of common gangbangers. In fact, they all look like they could've been members of one of the two gangs you faced earlier today, the one which had been accused of stealing large quantities of drugs and money from the other gang, an action which had started the mini-war which brought you all out here in the first place. Grim takes careful aim... squeezes the trigger... and is knocked back a bit as the zombie's head asplodes. Jack's senses tell him that they are truly undead. In fact, the energy animating them appears to be the same as that which drives Dead Head, though where Dead Head is a raging bonfire, these are but tiny embers. And there was another 'ember' inside the gang member crumpled on the floor! Colt & Marlin takes out three, the one he'd aimed at and two directly behind it. -

If it's a spread of shot, it's 20 (and you get a +2 to hit), but it's only 18 if the target has any natural increase to their Tougnhess. If it's a solid slug, it's 21. So which one it be? Once I know, I'll make... posts! EDIT: Nevermind, it rolled so poorly on the Toughness save it doesn't matter. Post coming forthwith! -
Containment Means Never Having To Say KABOOM! (IC)
Dr Archeville replied to Dariusprime's topic in Hanover
"It is indeed!," he replied eagerly, his grin spreading even wider. "De anticipation, de excitement of vhat might lay over de next hill... of seeing if all your hypotheses und calculations are correct, und prove you right... or if reality shall crash down upon you und send you back to de drawing board." "But...," he said, forcing himself to calm down, "before we see vhat you are potentially capable of, ve should see vhat you are capable of as you are now. Vhich means seeing how strong you are, how fast you are, und how tough you are. Now, dat last von is someding dat is difficult to test," he said as he zipped over to another part of the room, "since it vould require a very careful increase in energy und force applied to you. But, de first two, your strength und speed, are easy enough to test. For strength, I haff a number of veight machines ve can use; for speed, dere are a number of sensors I can use to measure dat vhile you fly around de building. First, dough," he added as he landed and stood leaning against one wall, "can you tell me about your abilities in your own vords, your own experiences?" -
Please remember to post an entry for this in the Timeline :)

Very sorry to hear that, AW. Take your time in coming back, there's no rush..

Soon after turning the corner, Thomas felt the few hairs he had on the back of his neck and arms stand on end as a weird energy discharge filled the air, a discharge which preceded the odd doctor suddenly appearing about 30 feet in front of him. "Hello!," the stranger said again, with an oddly cheery tone, "I am Doktor Viktor Archeville, und I should like to recruit you for an exciting new projekt... for Science!"

Fluff looks good, crunch looks good. Only thing I'd like to see added is a few sample forms; Object Mimicry is a Variable Power, and we like to see what chars will do with their VPs.
-
No problem at all; he is your character, and of a "species" of your own making, so you're perfectly in your rights to say what he does and does not look like!

"A fair question," Dead Head replied, still holding the photo to his forehead and keeping his eyes closed, "'cept from what I hear, impressions take time t'stick to an object, they have t'be repeated, over an' over. So if'n that's the case..." Dead Head lowered his arm and his eyes flicked open, and the green flame-wreathed orbs looked right at Zak. "... then how could I know that Physicus was the one what brought the ship to Khalados t'save its people?"

An idea! Though one I need your okay on. Doc's response would be something along the lines of "Hey, I know what you are, and I'd like to help. How do I know what you are? Elementary, my dear Watson: because of [A], , [C], etc." Folklore's filled with ways to tell a person is a werewolf even while in human form. Such as [*:6hdr5wcv]Slanted eyebrows, or eyebrows that meet at the bridge of the nose (Unibrow!); [*:6hdr5wcv]slightly elongated canine teeth; [*:6hdr5wcv]Sore jaw muscles the morning after a transformation, due to having used those muscles so very much the night before; [*:6hdr5wcv]excessive body hair; [*:6hdr5wcv]Hairy palms, or rough palms from constantly shaving the hair that grows on them; [*:6hdr5wcv]elongated ring finger, as long as the middle finger; [*:6hdr5wcv]fingernails (sometimes just a thumbnail, sometimes just on the left hand) that are longer than usual, or that are slightly curved Any of those sound like something Thomas would have?

Yeah, what you've got is fine, I've just been having some trouble figuring out how to respond (and finding time to think).

Is Colt really Crazy Prepared enough to carry a shotgun in addition to his other, regular weaponry, in order to throw the spare to Grim so she doesn't have to get her hands dirty? -
[Interceptors] Zombie Powder is a Helluva Drug [IC]
Dr Archeville replied to Dr Archeville's topic in West End
Most of the available furniture -- a worn couch, a few mattresses from upstairs, and the tables and chairs of the drug lab setup -- had already been used to block the doors (one in front, one on the side) and fill in the gaps at the already-boarded up windows. The only thing in the house that wasn't being used to shore up defenses was the body of an unconscious man, which lie curled on the floor. He might be able to help sort things out... if the Interceptors could get him out alive. The zombies outside continue hammering with their bare fists, fists that show remarkable strength as the punch holes in the doors and windows, and makes the walls of the house shake. -
A conundrum: as written now, DH's powers only work on corpses, not items a dead person's previously touched. But I'm fudging a bit and saying this photo gives a very tenuous connection to the spirit. So, what would be a good thing to get from that? And on a completely different topic: why did you choose the Broan aliens from Crooks! to be your antagonists, and not one of the FC races/evil empires (like the Grue Unity or the Stellar Khanate)?

Initiatives 30 -- Grim 22 -- JoAB 14 -- Colt 4 -- Zombies (25) (I'm still working out exactly what's going on, so no description for the guy on the floor yet.) -
Archeville did a double-take at Jester, "Narnia is a fictional place," he began, "but Saint Cuthbert of Lindisfarne vas a real person, from Northumbria, a kingdom dat encompassed vhat ve vould know as northeast England und southeast Scotland. He lived in de 7th century A.D., und vas known for his charm, generosity to de poor, und miraculous healings. He vas also very protective of de people of Durham, a semi-autonomous region in north east England, and of ducks." "Dis raises further qvestions, dough," he continued, now completely unfocused on the injured old man, "assuming ve vere thrown to de past, how are ve able to understand dese people? De English language as ve know it did not exist back in de Medieval period. Und if dis is some parallel vorld, vhy vould language remain current mit ours but everyding else seem so outdated?"

No; the Notice check is not enough to see anything useful in the house (other than the fact no one in/near it is partying, unlike the other nearby homes).

Alright, you asked for it.... Initiatives, please. Also, I'll need a DC 10 Fort save from both Colt and Jack (with a +4 bonus if you've been out with appropriate clothing). Fail, and you'll be temporarily down 1 point of Con, and fatigued (cannot move all out or charge and suffer a –2 penalty to effective Strength and Dexterity and a –1 penalty on attack and defense; doing something else that would normally cause fatigue causes you to become exhausted.). -
Archeville ran up to the elderly man's side, "do take it easy, sir, let me check you out for any serious injuries." The Doktor gave the man a quick inspection, " dat vas qvite de beating you took! Vhy did dose men attack you? Und who vas dat voman up dere? She said something about St. Cuthbert -- is dis Northumbria?"

Untrained Knowledge/History check (1d20+7=11) to see what Doc knows of Saint Cuthbert (he's real!). ... screw it, I'm using one of my HPs to reroll that. It will add to the comical misunderstandings Untrained Knowledge/History check; HP re-roll (1d20+7=25) much better

Containment Means Never Having To Say KABOOM! (IC)
Dr Archeville replied to Dariusprime's topic in Hanover
"It is a fish stew," he said in reply to Fulcrum's unfamiliarity with bouillabaisse, "from southeastern France, containing eight different kinds of fish und shellfish, five different vegetables, und an assortment of herbs und spices. New Orleans gumbo is a 'descendant' of it, dough gumbo also has Spanish und Native American...." He paused. "Ah, ja, ja, your are following me," he said, switching gears back to the topics on hand, "dough I am unsure about your hypothesis, in that I am not certain your metabolism actually produces vaste products anymore. You should be able to break down any matter into energy und absorb it to fuel yourself! But, it could be as you say, und dat level of matter/energy conversion und absorption vill not manifest until later." "Someding I vould like to test, if you vould allow," he went on -- still very excited -- as he looked over the pictures on her iPod, "is vhether or not you can extend your absorption field, either as a field or a tightly-focused beam, for offensive capabilities. Draining energy at range, or converting matter at range to energy... perhaps even transmuting elements by breaking molecular bonds, or by stripping electrons, neutrons und protons from elements! Dough dat vould mean you could only transmute 'down' de Periodic Table... which vould still mean you could turn lead to gold, or tin to silver!" Immortal, invisible, and a living Philosopher's Stone? In addition to the flight and superhuman strength & toughness she already exhibited?! "Dese powers could be a far bigger blessing dan you had ever imagined! I- oh... dese pictures, dey are quite... graphic. I- oh, I haff never seen an Omegadrone from dat angle before...."
