Anatomic Separation 1 = 3, fails by 15 Animate Objects 1 = 13, fails by 5 Comprehend 2 = 9, fails by 7 Enhanced Feats 3 = 18 Immunity 32 = take 1, that's a 33. Impervious Toughness 12 = 15, fails by 3 Insubstantial 1 = 6, fails by 12 Necromantic Powers (Array) 6 = 14, fails by 4 Protection 17 = take 1, that's 18. Regeneration 20 = take 1, that's 21. Enhanced Regeneration 6 = 16, fails by 2 Super-Senses 4 = 12, fails by 6 (at this point he doesn't have the Enhanced Super-Senses) So he's lost his ability to separate his limbs & to contort/compress his body, to animate corpses as zombies and to bring them back truly to life, to channel death & become truly fearsome, to see/communicate with the dead, his darkvision & mental/mystical senses, some of his Impervious Toughness, and some of his ability to boost his regeneration by consuming raw meat.

"A date?" she heard one say, "Like, a date-date? How'd it go?" "What's he like? What was he wearing?" "What are you wearing?" "Guys!" Barry interrupted, "priorities! We... well, we don't have a backup per se, but we do have the earlier prototypes; the comm system's not as robust-" "And it, uh, overheats a bit." "But it should do the trick. You're at Der Augenblick, right? We can meet you at the Promenade in... three minutes?"

Sorry, I had the same problem you had: got halfway through making my post, then my comp decided to go on strike.

I don't believe anyone here has doubted that Divine's a good person, but good =/= heroic. Look at Rich "Voyeur" Rover (Freedom City, pg. 48): he's a decent fella, and has superpowers, but no one would claim he's a superhero. Protecting herself & her friends doesn't make her a superhero, it just makes her someone interested in protecting herself and her friends. Which would describe most people (to be more specific, people who aren't psychopaths). Haven't you said, many times, that she's a hedonist? Don't hedonism ("pleasure is the only intrinsic good") & decadence ("luxurious self-indulgence") go hand-in-hand?

I did not consciously mean to be directing that at anyone else, or accuse anyone... but, if you have to ask, then yes, I'd say you are missing something. Saying a superhero is "just a person with powers" is like saying a firefighter or a policeman or a doctor is "just a person." It's not so much about what you can do, it's about why you do what you do, and how you go about doing it. To put it in more personal terms: being the daughter of two gods, and having superhuman strength, toughness, and attractiveness, does not make Divine a superhero. It's what she does with those abilities, and why she does what she does with them, that make her a hero... or a villain... or a neutral (or apathetic) bystander. If someone asked Divine if she was a superhero, and why she considers herself such, what would her answer be? Does she show a strong moral character? Go out of her way to help others? Does she do so despite risk of injury (physical, mental or emotional) to herself, or without expecting any sort of payback? Does she do things because she wants to do them, feels an urge to do them, or because she feels it's expected of her?

A bit further, please. The idea is that PCs are superheroes, not just "people with powers."

"Oh, no, no," Archeville said as he flew over to Atlas, "I meant I vould keep you up to date on anything I find from de scans I ran on your body, your physiology und such. You did say you vished to know about de origins of your powers, dat is vhat I am going to dig in to. I vill haff to run a few more tests, of course," he added as he pushed the button on the elevator, then tried to stifle a yawn, "but dose can vait for another day."

Taking 10 on a Gather Info check, 23 total. Went over what that'd get with Avenger in chat.

"In a moment, Herr Danger," Archevile said as he began reconfiguring his Electromagnetic Screwdriver, "I haff a nagging suspicion dat I vant to investigate first." The Doktor had reconfigured his gadgets into an encrypted communicator that put him in contact with his home systems, and from them to innumerable newsfeeds and chat rooms from around the world, some of which he himself had set up. After a minute or so of gathering information from his contacts to verify his hunch, he looked up at the other heroes and villains. "If dat is de terrorist Lady Anarchy," he began, pointing at Lady Liberty's doppelganger, then to Johnny Rocket's twin, "und he is de junkie speedster from another dimension who caused trouble here a few years aback, den it is likely dat all three are from de same parallel vorld, von vere de Freedom League is some sort of corrupt, tyrannical force. Dey haff been here before, but he," he pointed to the ersatz Captain Thunder, "is new to dis vorld." "Vhich den begs two qvestions: how did dey get here, und vhere is de real League?"
-
"So, let me see if I haff dis right," Archeville began as he walked out from behind the bar. "Dracula --de Dracula -- has taken it upon himself to stop your union, und to do so sent a team consisting of Frankenstein's monster-esque assassin; some manner of animated iron automaton, akin to some manner of robot; und some sort of vampire sorcerer. Since dey failed, vhat vill he send next, a Verevolf und a Mummy?"

You're that guy with the thing, right? Always glad to see an old face return. Do b aware of several new House Rules we've started since you left (such as "No PC Villains").

"Track him?," Barry Irving repeated; part of her was not surprised he was the one to answer. "Yeah, assuming he doesn't have his cloaking field on, we can- wait..." he paused as his brain caught up with everything, "did you say he was kidnapped? By who? Where? Were you there? Where are you? Are you hurt?" She heard him turn from the phone slightly and call to his two cohorts, then a familiar series CLICK told her she was now on a speaker phone. "Just what exactly happened?!"

Containment Means Never Having To Say KABOOM! (IC)

Archeville's eyes went wide and his jaw slack for a moment when she mentioned Terminus radiation. Archeville got up from the chair, walked over to a nearby desk, and picked up the phone. "Carol... hold mein calls. Und clear mein afternoon appointments." He set the phone back down, then clapped his hands together and rubbed them; his eyes were practically sparking with excitement. "I vill of course be all too happy to help you! I vill need some information from you, of course," he went on as he walked over to another workstations and began pulling electronic components out of drawers and off shelves, "vhen und vhere you vere born, vhen your powers first manifested, vhat your powers are, dat sort of stuff." -
The power filling Dead Head was nearly overwhelming. He felt he could raise anyone from the dead... no, everyone from the dead! No, better yet, kill everyone, then raise them as zombies like himself! No more fear, or pain, or suffering, or fatigue, or sickness! After everyone was dead, the world could truly live! No! Without life, there would just be stagnation -- fear and pain and suffering are what drive humanity, and removing those would condemn mankind to a gray emptiness! "Help... me...."
-
That'll do. What's the names of the trio who's helped/fawned over Gossamer before?

Containment Means Never Having To Say KABOOM! (IC)

Fulcrum was a tad surprised to find the chair, which looked like a normal office chair, was a perfect fit for her, expanding to comfortably fit her 8 foot 2 inch frame. "I do vhat I can," the super-scientist said with a grin as he took the other seat, "und mit all I haff set up here, und mit additional ArcheTech branches opening across de vorld, I can bring mein genius to bear on a far greater number of problems, help far more people, dan I could alone." "So," he continued, leaning forward a bit, "vhat is it I can do for you today, Miss Teymourian? Herr Danger did not go into much detail vhen he contacted me, but I am alvays eager to help any superhero." -
"Standing still und remaining fully in dis dimension is advised, ja," Archeville replied, "und it is starting... now!" When Archeville switched the device on, Taylor felt a slight but not truly unpleasant tingle. If actually felt, in a way, like she did when she first teleported, though she didn't recall having quite as many goosebumps then as she did now. As Archeville kept a careful eye on the glass vials on the belt which were filling with Taylor's and her fetus's blood and amniotic fluid, he made a small "harumph," at Avenger's explanation. "You realize, Jack, dat vhat you just said makes absolutely no sense to me? Mirrors reflect light dat bounces off of objects, und light bouncing off of objects is how standard vision vorks. Vhy vould light bouncing off you avoid mirrors, but not human retinas?" After a few moments -- the time it would take to draw blood samples in a traditional manner -- Doc switched off the belt on Taylor and unhooked it from her, then began removing the vials and placing them into assorted scanning devices. "Dere, dat vas not so bad, vas it?" In a few hours Taylor would find five quarter-sized sunburned spots around her waist, but that was the only negative effect.

Ia! Er, I mean, ja ;)

"As you vish," Archeville replied, then stretched and arched his back. "Vell, I must say dis has been an interesting day! Also qvite draining... und you did say you had places to go tonight, so... vould you like to make a sandvich to go? I can call you vonce I find anyding conclusive from de tests, und you are of course velcome call me any time!"

Archeville's eyes followed the crate as it fell, and the "angel" zipping in to slow it. He followed after, making sure it was set down gently. He then turned to "Catapin Thunder" and "Johnny Rocket," and saw they'd been dealt with by Fleur and Ace. "Hunh..." he murmured, then called out, "everyvon alright?"

There will be other sandwiches :)

I'm running a bit low on ideas. And didn't Atlas say he needed to go soon? Seems a good time to wrap this up.
