Archeville's hands were fidgeting, clenching and unclenching and fiddling with the controls on his ultra-tech belt. "Excuse me a moment," Archeville said to Dark Star and Fleur. They may have noticed that his voice was just the tiniest bit...'off,' but that could be due to the energy distortions caused by the teleportation system in his belt that he was now activating. Rather than disappearing, Archeville appeared to 'blink.' "Well... hunh... now I vonder if dose are merely de League's security measures," he thought out loud, "or if mein failed attempt to teleport in is tied to de League's disappearance?"

Teleport power check (DC 25) (1d20+7=17) That'd be a failure.
-
Unless it was an Alt Save/Will Dazzle, DH's Immunity to Fort Effects would allow him to shake off the Dazzle after the first round automatically.
-
Notice check (1d20+7=25)!
-
Just be sure to keep those descriptors narrow. Immunity (all mutant powers) & Nullify (all mutant powers) (or replace "mutant powers" with "magic") probably isn't gonna fly.

Just wait 'till Doc gets behind the bar ;)

"Um, ix-nay on the ure-cay, Hay-zel," Dead Head said in a hushed tone, "wouldn't want ya lookin' like a chump in front of all these nice folks...." A few folks had tried to 'cure' Dead Head over the years, but thus far all attempts had failed. Most attempts ended up doing nothing, though one Santerian babalorisha down in Florida had come closest... but all he got for his efforts was for his hair turn stark white after getting a glimpse of the thing behind the flames in Dead Head's eyes. The "leper" waved meekly at the assembled congregation. A part of him hoped the "angel" was just a wacky metahuman. Moira noticed something rather odd: here were two men who weren't falling and fawning over her!

Someone's been reading that RPG.net thread...

That in no way answered his question. On a more pertinent note: If that's the case, then if/when her psionics get nullified, shouldn't those go down, too? I.e., shouldn't there be some Enhanced Attributes/Saves/Skills, to reflect that some is from her powers?

"Oh, I should go hang up mein labcoat. I'll be right ba- ACH!"

Yeah, and actually I thought I'd locked it after making that last post.

Undisclosed Location The Boss's voice crackled over what Lyn assumed was some sort of concealed intercom. "Be right down; sorry to keep you vaiting. Got tied up in some vork; you know how dat goes. Can I brig you anyding on my vay down?" He was far closer than he was letting on, though. In fact, he was already in the room, and had been for some time.

"Of course, it is entirely possible dat vhat you haff is not a pregnancy, but rather someding else dat is mimicking some of de signs of pregnancy," Archeville explained as he went to another workstation and began to rummage around in the drawers. "You can teleport und turn intangible, und both dose powers tend to make von vulnerable to infection by all sorts of dings. Haff you had any encounters mit anyding dat might b inclined to do dat, 'jump' into your body und ride along? Or been anyvhere vhere such dings are not unheard of?" It looked as if the Doktor were assembling some sort of... something from the components he had pulled from the drawers.

"Stay outta trouble, you two!," the odd zombie called as Grimalkin & Breakdown turned to leave. "Eh, who am I kiddin' -- get up t'as much hijinx as ya want, y'all'll have plenty of time t'be quiet & peaceful when yer dead!" The sound that erupted from Dead Head's throat could be described as a laugh... as heard through a sepulchre. The fog crept back in, and suddenly the flickering lights from Dead Head's eyes were completely gone, and the two young heroes felt as if they were alone.

Attack w/ shovel (DC 24 Toughness save if it hits) (1d20+11=23) Would his method of arrival allow DH's Sneak Attack damage to figure in? If so, that's a DC 26 save. And if that drops Cultist #1, Takedown Attack to go for Cultist #2. Attack w/ shovel (DC 24 Toughness save if it hits) (1d20+11=15)

The waves of necromantic power washing over and through Dead Head's mind indicated to him that breaking the amulet did something, but he wasn't sure what. His mystical senses "saw" nothing but "spots"; hopefully that would fade. "Hunh, zom'ies're still u', 'ut uncontrolled,"* he said through his mangled mandible. "Looks like we'll need to - WHOA!" Phantom had scooped Dead Head up, and 'ported them away. And then he saw the two cultists. "'anks for the lift," he said as he swung his shovel in a wide arc before him. * Hunh, zombies're still up, but uncontrolled

Will save, vs. Confuse effect (DC 20) (1d20+6=14) Reflex save, vs. Dazzle effect (DC 20) (1d20+6=8) If I keep those, Dead Head's confused, and his magical senses are dazzled. Fortunately, I have 2 HP's left, which I'll use to re-roll. Will save, vs. Confuse effect (DC 20); HP re-roll (1d20+6=22) Makes it, not confused. Reflex save, vs. Dazzle effect (DC 20); HP re-roll (1d20+6=19) Still fails, so his senses are Dazzled. Um, it is his magical senses that are dazzled, not his regular vision... right?

Archeville was silent a moment, party to let Taylor collect herself, and partly because his mind was working on the issue -- not just the pregnancy, but the very nature of the two parents -- from many angles. "Vell, if it is not someding you intentionally did, could it be something either of you vere unknowingly exposed to? Have you been around any metahumans -- 'magical' or not -- mit advanced regenerative capabilities? Or could dat 'Demonic Invasion' be de cause?"

"Like 'em?! I lo-" he began to reply, with obviously a great deal of enthusiasm, before his jaw abruptly fell off. "aww, da'it! 'Scuse 'e a 'inute...." Dead Head quickly bent down to retrieve his misplaced mandible, and jammed it back into his face. Disturbingly, the bones and muscles re-knitted themselves until it was back on properly. "Test... test... popsicle... ping pong... mamma mia... okay, we're good! Now," he continued, as if nothing had happened, "schlocky horror movies -- I love 'em! Can't get enough! Though it's been... shoot... years since I've seen anything new. Theatres ain't as easy to sneak into as they look t'be on tv, andit's hard to get Netflix delivered if yain't got a permanent address!"

DEAD HEAD Jack and Taylor had sent Dead Head an invite to the reception, even though they knew he'd turn it down. But receiving the invite meant a lot to the Revoltin' Revenant, and even if he couldn't/wouldn't show, he wanted to do something nice for them. He kept drawing a blank on what to do for Jack, but for Taylor, he had the perfect plan. He knew, from passing comments she'd made, that she had relatives in Freedom -- specifically, in Freedom's cemeteries -- so he had some potential materials to work with. A bit of searching and digging got him the item he needed. Nestled among all the other gifts was a small box, one light enough that a disembodied hand could have dragged it over. It was simply wrapped, though the paper and bow were slightly crumpled, as if they'd been taken from someone's recycling bin. The tag read "To Taylor; From D.H." Inside were two items, a necklace and a note. The necklace was a beautiful and unusual combination of deep purplish red Siberian amethyst and crystal rondelles, with a clasp made of sterling silver filigree. The short note read "Thanks so much for the invite; it meant a lot. This belonged to your great-great-grandmother, Meredith. I told her of your wedding; she insisted I give you this, with her blessings."

Archeville turned to Dark Star and Fleur, and spoke in a low tone so the reporters wouldn't overhear. "Did you know they vere gone? I had no idea! Und knowing is vhat I do!"
