For Science! Jim, did you have an idea in mind for when this will be happening? You don't need an exact date, but something is needed.

Yes. Yes, they are. (Which is why his presence makes Phantom nauseous )

... if you're insubstantial, why are you trying to interpose in the first place? You can't be a "human shield" if the bullets (or whatever) are going to pass through you. And what's wrong with Ronin's sheet?

Ghost finds he is able to disable to security system with surprising ease, and he is able to not only erase all recordings of their activities but also reset the alarms that had notified the police and shut down the security systems so they can leave without being recorded on the way out. Lady Luck was shining down on him once more! The two made their way back to the car they'd arrived in without incident. Once there, the demon concentrated a moment and shrank down to its human form, scales sloughing off and bones audibly snapping and popping out and back in to place. Judging by the look on his face, Ghost guessed he was experiencing a great deal of pain, though whether it was due to the strain of the transformation, the numerous injuries he's received, or both, he could not tell. A completely naked -- and very battered and bloody -- Jos Terhune now stood before Ghost. He opened the driver side door (which Ghost realized was unlocked) and retrieved the car's keys from the cupholder, then unlocked the trunk and retrieved a duffel bag which held a change of clothes, and slowly got dressed.

Soo... Belphegor, Exile, Malice and Ronin?

None of the dock workers appeared to notice the two costumed people lurking nearby. They continued about their business, and while none of them looked like the sort of person you'd want to get in a fight with or get on the wrong side of, none appeared shifty or to be potting anything.

I'm not sure you can do a Targeted Area with that much Progression (Rank 8 Burst Area effect w/ Progression 10 = 80,000 foot [15 miles] radius), since you wouldn't be able to see all viable targets in it, and thus wouldn't be able to see who to strike & who not to. (Not to mention how uncomfortable the idea of a PC being able to do something that affects almost the entire city in one go makes me ) And why's he bothering with a Targeted Area Burst rather than a General Area? Are there magic-users he wouldn't want to Nullify?

Invisible Castle was down last night, and appears to still be down. Reminder: you can use the chat rom to roll die. /roll 1d20 It doesn't let you add modifiers, so you'll need to add those in yourself when you post the roll in the OOC thread.

And They Called Me MAD! (IC)
Dr Archeville replied to Dr Archeville's topic in Else Ifs and What Worlds
RRG manages to connect with the Bug-Man and almost get his arms around it, but the creature twisted just and hopped out of the heroes clutches. "Must not be stopped! Chk-chk!" it cried as it continued down the hall and around another corner. "Cannot be stopped! Chk-chk!" Rounding the corner, RRG saw several smashed doors and more turns further up, but no Bug-Man. There were also three technicians here; two look like they'd been down for some time, but the third, an attractive woman, looks as if she'd just been knocked down! "Wh-what was that thing?!" -
That hits! +16 = 30, beats your Grapple. End Round 3. Doc has 2 rounds of Rage left. Initiative & Conditions 5 -- Bug-Man/Doktor Vile -- 1 Villain Point -- unharmed 3 -- Rocket's Red Glare -- 1 Hero Point -- unharmed Doc's current form Move action to book. Move action to... do something

Eric had been lead to a small meeting room for this visitor, though while escorted the guard was silent on who it was. The room had a table and two chairs, and a large mirror -- more likely than not a one-way mirror with a camera or other monitor on the other side -- along one wall. The chair before him was empty. The opposite chair held a Doktor. "Hello, Eric," he said, simply and plainly. "I trust your injury is not causing you too much pain." It was Doktor Archeville.

That hits! +8 = 26, which beats the DC 25 Toughness save. End Round 2. Doc has 3 rounds of Rage left. Initiative & Conditions 5 -- Bug-Man/Doktor Vile -- 1 Villain Point -- unharmed 3 -- Rocket's Red Glare -- 1 Hero Point -- unharmed Doc's current form Move action to book. Move action to keep bookin'.

And They Called Me MAD! (IC)
Dr Archeville replied to Dr Archeville's topic in Else Ifs and What Worlds
The plasma-bolt slams into the Bug-Man's back, but it keeps moving, seemingly unfazed by it! It continues running, around another bend; RRG realizes it's going back the way it came, as they are passing some of the battered/bleeding and unconscious ASTRO Labs technicians he saw earlier. -
Archeville was becoming less and less enamored with this place, whenever or whenever it was. He knew the Middle Ages -- and these seemed comparable to it -- were rife with disease and filth. And while his work over the years had allowed him to develop an impressive tolerance to most toxins and diseases, he did not look forward to all the grime. So he floated up about 6 inches int the air, and "walked" that way to wards the castle, with his hands clasped behind his back. AS he went, he smiled and greeted other, bowing and tipping his "Wizard's Hat" to the more comely women he saw. "Lovely day for a festival, ja?"

Initiatives & Conditions 20A -- White Knight -- Unharmed 20B -- Goons -- All Unharmed 6 -- Doc -- 2 HP -- Unharmed Using Extra Effort to stunt something off his main Blast power Blast 11 (Extra: Targeted 55-ft. Burst Area; Flaw: Distracting) Which should be big enough to get everyone in the room. I am, of course, only targeting the Bad Guys. And using an HP to nix the fatigue. I make one attack roll, vs. all their defenses. HP to re-roll 16+4* = 20 * Normally +8 attack, -4 penalty for firing into melee to make sure he doesn't hit the hostages they're holding/grappling. And those who are holding/grappling hostages are effectively flat-footed. Those hit -- and I think that may be everyone -- needs to make a DC 26 Toughness save. But b/c his blast was Distracting, Doc is now flat-footed! And with 0 Hero Points!

Archeville analyzed the situation with his lightning-quick mind. Five metahuman criminals under White Knight's lead, most with hostages. Time to test that flux capacitor he'd wired in from Downtime's time belt. Time slowed for an elongated moment, long enough for Archeville to aim and fire at all six of the assembled metahuman criminals. To his perspective, it looked as if the bolts of energy from the MAX gauntlets were lazily lobbed over to each one, but from their perspective, the Doktor had become a whirling blossom of doom. Time just as suddenly snapped back for Archeville, though his senses were still distorted a few moments more form the stress. "I must make a point to study dis more," he murmured.

End Round 1. Doc has 4 rounds of Rage left. Initiative & Conditions 5 -- Bug-Man/Doktor Vile -- 1 Villain Point -- unharmed 3 -- Rocket's Red Glare -- 1 Hero Point -- unharmed Doc's current form Free action to blather. Standard action to attack RRG is not flat-footed, so his Defense is 18. 3+8 = 11, a(nother) miss! Move action to book.

And They Called Me MAD! (IC)
Dr Archeville replied to Dr Archeville's topic in Else Ifs and What Worlds
"RARGH! Chk-chk!" the bug-man roared as he again tried to claw at RRG, and again missed. "Metal-Man not worth Kafka's time! Chk-chk!," it hissed, backing away down the corridor, "Kafka have mission! Chk-chk!" And then he beat feet, down the hall about 20 feet, then around a corner and out of sight. -
There would eventually be a trial (assuming you are interested in doing a Trial thread), but it won't be for a while. They're still cleaning up from the mess Knievel, Malice, and Warmonger made at Knievel's trial, and while Eric isn't a huge threat without his suit, he's still dangerous, so they're going to toss him in jail while they sort things out and set up some new guidelines. Normally he'd go to South River State Penitentiary, but it's terribly overcrowded & he is charged with several felonies, so they're sending him to Blackstone Federal Penitentiary. He'll be on the higher level, with other powerless-without-their-gadgets criminals and low-level metahumans. Blackstone's in (well, just off of) Lonely Point. Doc's meeting with Eric while he's in Blackstone: "Stocks & Bonds" Dark Star & Eric's meeting: "Stars & Bars"

Hrrmmm.... "Well, now that you mention it..." Jos replied, standing up a bit straighter and flexing his good arm... and then grabbed a set of keys on the table, "I do have a rental car, parked down the street."

Small creatures that were both mischievous and mechanically oriented were not unknown to Doktor Archeville; the concept of gremlins responsible for sabotaging aircraft was popularised during World War II among airmen, though mostly Allied airmen, though the Axis airmen faced just as many inexplicable mechanical problems. He'd always thought they were nothing more than a form of scapegoat, though, ways to cover a mechanic's dereliction off duties. "Scheiße!" the Doktor blurted out, but then he quickly regained his composure, "Ja, I can lead dem to- oh, my...." He paused briefly as he saw the young man before him roughly quadruple in size, "right, dey shall haff to scale Mt. Muscle to get to me!" Archeville took to the air again, slowly rising up and hovering about five feet over Atlas' head, then pulled out his Electromagnetic Screwdriver and waved it in front of the gremlins, "Here, boys, dinner's on! Tasty transmorphic carbosilicate circuitry mit a mimetic poly-alloy coating, und a Nullpunktenergie core! Finest tech around!"
