Due to the Bruises its already accumulated, the best it can do is fail by 15. I'm not gonna bother rolling.

You don't need to pay for Benefit (Morphic Faerie Garments). The Atom brats didn't pay for theirs As for approvals, since this is such a massive change, she probably should go through the process. It shouldn't take long, though.

And They Called Me MAD! (IC)
Dr Archeville replied to Dr Archeville's topic in Else Ifs and What Worlds
The huge blob flows this way and that as it follows RRG around, trying to snare it. RRG's plasma blast hits one of the large holes which had already been torn in it, and the blob's contents boiled rapidly from the sudden influx of heat. It was rocked by several small explosions inside it, and then fell over, knocking over two trees as it did. "flllesssssshhhhhhhhhhh.... *" One lone blob remains active, slowly but determinedly staggering towards RRG. "flllessshhhh.... joooiiinnnnn...." -
Huge Blob is distracted by RRG's acrobatics. Huge Blob fails toughness save by 16, and is down. Initiatives 14 -- Blob, Medium (1) -- 1 Staggered & Bruisedx1 11 -- RRG -- unharmed, 2 Hero Points Staggered Medium Blob is 70 feet away. It moves 30 feet towards RRG, is now 40 feet away.

I agree, even with her Complication (Struggling). That's Peter Parker level of poverty, not Maxx level of poverty. Could say she has a set of faerie clothing that shifts with her, like the Morphic Molecule suits the Atom Family has.

Everything I've said previously was a lie. Except that. And that. And that. And- *ahem* Gold characters will be getting 1/3rd their earned pps from when they were PL (

And They Called Me MAD! (IC)
Dr Archeville replied to Dr Archeville's topic in Else Ifs and What Worlds
The closest Blob, one of the man-sized ones, ceases to exist; nothing is left but a small amount of steaming gunk, no bigger than a shoeprint. In the tiny fraction of a moment RRG uses to congratulate himself, the battered and leaking elephant-sized blob surges through, pushing itself off a group of trees and hurling itself at the armored hero and slamming him with a monstrous pseudopod. "flllessshhhh.... joooiiinnnnn...." The one remaining active blob, one of the man-sized ones, continues to approach. Its got the heart of a champion... which RRG can see, half-digested, deep inside it. -
Closest Blob is the non-Staggered (and Bruised x2) Medium one. 18 hits; needs to make a DC 30 Toughness save. It gets a 4, failing by 26, and so ceases to exist. Initiatives 14 -- Blob, Medium (1) -- 1 Staggered & Bruisedx1 11 -- RRG -- unharmed, 1 Hero Point 4 -- Blob, Huge (1) -- Staggered, Bruised x2 Staggered Huge Blob is 70 feet away. Gain a Hero Point as I use GM Fiat to have it surge and charge RRG. It moves 60 feet and attacks (10 foot reach due to size). It hits with a massive gooey pseudopod (and would've hit even if you hadn't used All-Out Attack to lower your defense). You're facing a DC 23 Toughness save from the impact. Staggered Medium Blob is 100 feet away. It moves 30 feet towards RRG, is now 70 feet away.

Couldn't she use the Create Object ability to create clothing?

And They Called Me MAD! (IC)
Dr Archeville replied to Dr Archeville's topic in Else Ifs and What Worlds
Moar plasma washes over the elephant-sized blob, and when the smoke from the boiling goo clears, RRG can sees it's still up and wriggling! The other two man-sized blobs continue coming for RRG. He sees that the one which had struck him earlier, when he was on the other side of the clearing, is almost upon him. "flllessshhhh.... joooiiinnnnn...." -
28 easily hits the Huge Blob. Toughness save (vs. DC 28) is... 21, fails by 7. It's Bruised & Stunned. Initiatives 14 -- Blob, Medium (2) -- 1 Bruised x2, 1 Staggered & Bruisedx1 11 -- RRG -- unharmed, 1 Hero Point 4 -- Blob, Huge (1) -- Staggered, Stunned, Bruised x2 Huge Blob is now 70 feet away. It's stunned, doesn't move. Medium Blob (Staggered) was after RRG's movement 130 feet away. It moves 30 feet, is now 100 feet away. Medium Blob (Not Staggered) was after RRG's movement 100 feet away. It charges 60 feet, is now 40 feet away.

I think I've got the math right on this, but a second brain would be appreciated. Freedom City's about 15 x 25 miles, or about 20 miles in diameter. That's about 10 miles radius. That's 12 steps up on the Extended Range & Area Table. Which means an Extended Search of the entire city -- such as by using ESP or Telelocation -- would be 12 steps up the Time Table. Or 10 years. Quickness can reduce this, but even Quickness 12 only takes it to about 8 hours. Right?

Also, Jos can't not see through the Bluff: Ember got a 3 on Bluff, but Jos's Sense Motive modifier is a +9, so he can't get less than 10 Jos can use Artificer (and Take 10 on all the necessary rolls) to create a 6pp item (an Easy to Lose Device 2, 10 'device points' effect), but it'll take 30 hours (6 hrs design + 24 hours construct), or about 4 days. The question is, what to make? At first I was going to say Telelocation 9 (entire globe; PF: Subtle). She'd get a DC 19 Will save to hide from it (and would need to make a DC 29 Notice check to sense what Jos is doing, or DC 19 notice check if she has some sort of magical awareness super-sense), and he does still need to make a Search check to try and find her. But the bigger issue is the time it'd take to do the extended search: searching all of Freedom City -- remember he was blanked on what happened when she had him Mind Controlled, so he doesn't known he told her to check Hanover, the Fens, and Riverside for Fox, but he is assuming she's staying here in the city -- will require some a lot of time, since the city's about 10 miles in radius (it's about 15 x 25 miles, or about 20 miles in diameter). That's 12 steps up the Extended Range & Area table, which means the time required is 12 steps up, which is... 10 years! So instead, I'll go with Telelocation 6 (20 miles, or any spot in the city; PF: Subtle) w/ Linked Quickness 9 (x1,000; Flaw: Limited to Extended Telelocation Searches only [-2 Flaw]). She'd get a DC 16 Will save to hide from it (and would need to make a DC 26 Notice check to sense what Jos is doing, or DC 16 notice check if she has some sort of magical awareness super-sense). 10 years divided by 1,000 = 3.65 days. Or, Telelocation 6 (20 miles, or any spot in the city) w/ Linked Quickness 12 (x10,000; Flaw: Limited to Extended Telelocation Searches only [-2 Flaw]). She'd get a DC 16 Will save to hide from it, but would only need to make a DC 16 Notice check to know she's being scryed on (and wouldn't require magic awareness to sense it). 10 years divided by 10,000 = about 8 hours So, if he wants to be very careful (Subtle Telelocation), it'll take about 8 days. If he's not, and goes with un-Subtle Telelocation, it'll take about 5 days. Right?

And They Called Me MAD! (IC)
Dr Archeville replied to Dr Archeville's topic in Else Ifs and What Worlds
The plasma washes over the elephant-sized blob, but when the smoke from the boiling goo clears, RRG can see his blast 'cauterized' as many wounds as it opened -- though unsteady, it still stood! The other two man-sized blobs continue coming for RRG. "flllessshhhh.... joooiiinnnnn...." -
Huge Blob is hit, gets a 23on Toughness. That fails by 7, so it's Bruised & Stunned. Initiatives 14 -- Blob, Medium (2) -- 1 Bruised x2, 1 Staggered & Bruisedx1 11 -- RRG -- unharmed, 1 Hero Point 4 -- Blob, Huge (1) -- Staggered, Stunned, Bruised x1 Huge Bob was 20 feet away. It's stunned, so doesn't move. Charging Blob (Staggered) was 110 feet away. It moves 30 feet, is now 80 feet away. Far Blob was 110 feet away. Charges 60 feet, now 50 feet away.

Aright, gang, we'd decided: you can keep 1/3rd of the pps earned by your PL 6 character when you upgrade to PL 10 when hitting Gold. Which means Belphegor, Grimalkin, and Ghost (and Quark) will all get some extra pps this month! There is one caveat/request: we ask that, if the earned pps are enough to push you to a new PL, you not use those pps to buy traits to bring you up to the new PL. Use the pps to round out your character.

He's right, I should've been more careful... but I didn't want to waste time trying to figure out how to open the secret door, and it would look silly asking Kapetelis. Wait, I wouldn't have needed to ask, I could've ordered him to do it! Dammit! I'm still not used to this. The stairway is a rickety, wooden affair that descends into the middle of a bare, dirt-floor room. The room is about 30 x 30 feet, with doors on the southern, western, and northern walls. The stairs lead down so that the southern door is in front of you, about 15 feet away. As he goes down, Ghost sees a tripwire about 2/3rds of the way down. Following the wires, he sees it is connected to a series of skeletons -- real human skeletons, but not animated, just dead bones -- laced up in the shadowed rafters, such that anyone who tripped the wire would cause the skeletons to suddenly flop down from their concealed places and dangle menacingly in front of the target. "What is it? What do you see?" the demon asked, somewhat trying to keep its resonant bass voice down to a dull roar.

Looks like Jos isn't the only one with a secret to protect ;)

"Bring them in here, the work will be done down in the basement." Ah, good, I won't have to do a rush job. Not that I'm exactly sure I'll be able to do this, but.. hey, waitasecond- "Sirius?," Jos called, "are you around? Your... the fox is here. I believe he is going to be with us for a few days. Sirius?" Now where could he have gotten?

And They Called Me MAD! (IC)
Dr Archeville replied to Dr Archeville's topic in Else Ifs and What Worlds
The elephant-sized Blob quiver and shakes like an elephant-sized bowl full of jelly, but seems otherwise unphazed. It continues to advance. "joooiiinnnnn.... usss.... " The three man-sized Blobs in the middle are completely engulfed in explosion-y goodness. When the smoke clears, RRG can see two are down, but one still staggers about. The blob on the far end seems to be leaking a bit more, but it still coming for RRG. "flllessshhhh.... joooiiinnnnn.... " -
Huge Blob faces DC 14/19 save. Passes Reflex with a 16, so DC 17 Toughness. Got a 22, no damage. Staggered & Charging Blobs face a DC 19/24 save. They can't pass the Reflex save; Toughness saves are 14, 2, 12; fails by 10, 22, 12. The one that failed by 10 was already Staggered, another Staggered puts it Unconscious. Second is KO'd, third is Stunned & Staggered. Far Blob faces a DC 15/20 save. Passes Reflex with a 16, so Tougnhess is only 17. It get 15, fails by two, so it takes a second bruise. Initiatives 14 -- Blob, Medium (5) -- 1 Bruised x2, 1 Staggered & Stunned & Bruisedx1, 3 Unconscious. 11 -- RRG -- unharmed, 1 Hero Point 4 -- Blob, Huge (1) -- Staggered Huge Bob moves 40 feet closer. It's now 20 feet away. Charging Blob was 110 feet away. It's stunned, so it stays where it is. Far Blob was 170 feet away. Charges 60 feet, now 110 feet away.

"Wh... whatever you want!" Kaptelis screamed, "ju-just keep that thing away from me!" Belphegor rose up, wiping vomitus from his fanged muzzle, "We want the coin, mortal! Give it to us!" Kapatelis paled even more, and quickly glanced to the bookcase on the far wall. "The Coin of Ziocles?! No! I... I can't! I won't! I-" Belphegor approached Kapetelis, grabbed him by the upper arms, and hoisted him into the air, "You will!" "S-secret passage, behind the bookcase!" he blurted. "There's a passageway that leads to a secret vault. Take whatever you want, just please, please-" Belphegor dropped him to the floor, then walked over to the bookcase. He studied it a moment.... Good selection here... art, history, medicine.... wait, are those real mystical tomes, or just poseur versions? Man, I wish I knew more about real magic. Okay, I could just pull books at random, hoping one is the right trigger... or I could do THIS! The demon gripped either side of the bookcase, and pulled the entire thing forward. There was a loud CRACK as he tore the mechanisms free, and now they were faced with a hole in the wall which opened to some stairs going down.
