Shaen's Pimp My PC thread compels me to *bump* this!

"You're not so useless yourself, Ghost," the demon replied, actually referring to him by name instead of "mortal". He stretched a bit, testing his badly damaged shoulder & wing, and from the expression on his face it seemed they were worse off than he'd initially thought. "Think the Don would be... interested in this gear?," he asked, his breathing labored from the large amounts of damage he'd taken. "Might get us a.... a bit of a bonus with him."

I had an idea for a (very basic) dungeon crawl, in some catacombs under the house, where he's got the Coin hidden. Some combat, some doors Bel can't bypass but Ghost can (and maybe some Ghost couldn't but Bel could), then we get the coin and take it back to the Don. I can pare some things down, though, to make it go quicker. Also, Bel spends his Villain Point to try and instantly recover his Staggered condition. And... fails!

Edited my last post some so Doc does more than just parrot back what you've told him ;)

No Action Regen doesn't take a Free Action, it just means you don't need to take an Action to regen. You're still only limited to one Bruise (or whatever) per round.

A step closer to 'synthetic life' Wikipedia article on Synthetic Biology.

Hey, what about- ......................... Jos blacked out for a moment, and when he came to the Mysterious Woman in Red was gone. His last memory of her was when he'd grabbed her, so... they must have had a great time, right? Wait, he was still dressed, and downstairs, and the clock on the wall indicated that only a few minutes had passed, so it can't have been that great... right? And what was this red feather in his hand? "Madame," he said, smirking, "I will find you again. And we shall make beautiful music together." Jos walked back to the main desk, humming a little tune as he went.

Question: any stray hairs from her on him/in his hand? Or did they all go up in flame when she changed?

Will save is.... a 19! Fails by one! Hrm... do I want to use my one Villain Point to re-roll that? I do! *sacrifices a goat on his pagan altar to the demons of the dice* 21, made it! But, since her Mind Control was Conscious but not Subtle, then the time he was under her direct Mind Control will be a blank. So there'll still be some gaps. Also, since Emotion Control is a Sustained (Lasting) effect, he gets a save at each Time Interval (one minute later, then 5 minutes later, then 20 minutes later, then 1 hour later, then 5 hours later, and so on) to eventually break out. He gets a cumulative +1 bonus to each save, so HIS LOVE FOR HER! will eventually fade. In fact, I'll go ahead and make some rolls now: 13, 10, 17, 28 on fourth roll. So his LOVE will fade after.... 1 hour and 26 minutes

Very cool 8-) A few things: Confuse has a (Lasting) duration, and I'm still not sure how Secondary Effect would work with (Lasting) powers. Plus, (Lasting) effects are already semi-fire & forget-ish, so it arguably doesn't need Secondary Effect to be fire & forget-ish. I'm not going to allow Shapeshift to be used to make APs of Wesley's Life Control power. That is way too cheesy, being able to create any AP off that array with no cost. (Similarly, Doc's Gadgets can't be used to make APs for existing tech, nor can he Invent a 1pp AP for some existing tech.) I do remember saying Fleur couldn't do fungi, but Plant Controllers in comics often do get fungi stuff, so I'd let that slide. I do not recall saying her Healing wouldn't work on Plant Monsters, though. I remember the contention about the flowerpots thing being that it was originally described as "she's a plant controller, but can also create clay pots filled with nutritious soil ex nihilo," which didn't seem to fit for a non-supernatural plant controller. The "she can control plants and earth" came later, and the "create clay pots w/ soil" thing is now a Feature.

"I believe dat, for de moment," Archeville whispered, "you vould do best for our team by keeping a look out, vhile Herr Star keeps an 'ear' on de radio chatter. Star, if you need to retract part of your cloaking field in order to do dat, pull it avay from me; mein own devices can keep me cloaked."

Yes and no. "No" b/c the "this functions like the Precise Shot feat" part wouldn't be a factor, since Extended Reach things aren't Ranged. "Yes" for the "perform tasks requiring delicacy and fine control" aspect.

Work now, play later... work now, play later... work now, play later.... "The lad's name is Adam Mears," Jos replied, "he's from Hanover. His associates are Tom Wells, from the Fens, and Danny Levinson, from Riverside. I do not know anything more precise on their addresses. Adam seemed very much the womanizing type, so I am sure he will find you... enticing." "And now that I've scratched your itch," he said, reaching out to caress her cheek, "how about you come up and scratch mine?"

"Ja.. ja, okay... right, ve haff to - no, I haff to..." They were in an armory, which contained not only routine armor and weapons but also some suits of MAX armor, and a suit of Super-MAX armor. On top pf that, there were some confiscated kit-bashed super-weapons made by assorted inmates. Archeville was like a kid in a candy store. He quickly hooked his Gravimetric Belt to the Super-MAX armor's systems, then took some of Looking Glass's mirrors and Mad Maple's "winter wand" and hooked them to a makeshift utility belt/bandolier he strapped across the chestplate of the armor "Dryad, listen very carefully," he said while snapping some final pieces into place, "I do not vant you following me, I do not vant to risk anyvon else getting hurt. I vant you to go back to de infirmary und vait dere, alright?" He snapped the helmet on, then faded from view. "I made dis mess, und I am going to fix it." He took off, down the corridors where White Knight, his cronies and their hostages went. He would make this right... somehow.

Ich bin Eisenmann! PL 10 Doc + Super-Max Armor + some of Looking Glass's Mirrors (the Visual Illusion 10, 50-ft. radius one) + jailhouse Mad Maple's Winter Wand (Cold Control 10, APs: Blast 10, Alt Save/Fort Blast 6, Ranged Fatigue 6, Knockback Trip 10) His PL 10 Gravimetric Belt is Super-MAX Armor is Hook the Belt to the armor, set it to Cloaking Field... I'm a Ghost! (With Toughness 15, Impervious 9; Knockback -12) Setting Gadgets to boost the Super-MAX weapons array: Enhanced Blast 2, giving That'll do, pig. That'll do.

She has a really nice voice! A... really... nice... Jos re-buttoned his shirt, and his tone suddenly shifted to a slightly more businesslike one. "right, of course, business first, then pleasure. As I said, I saw a fox-man here, about... six weeks ago. He did not stay long, not in his fox-form -- he seemed more startled of me than I was of him -- but then I recalled that a few days prior a young man had been in here who seemed particularly interested some Japanese items, items which had a kitsune, or fox spirit, motif. I saw him here again a few days after seeing the fox-man, and he seemed rather upset; he'd had a run-in with some superheroes, specifically the psychic Scarab and... Avenger, one of those nocturnal, skulker types." He was speaking, of course, about Fox, the leader of the Terrible Trio gang which had arisen since Terhune himself had murdered the previous inhabitants of this house and converted it into his antiques shoppe. He chose not to mention that he'd learned Avenger was in fact a daywalker vampire; while the woman's power did make him temporarily fanatically loyal to her, it did not force him to divulge the full and entire truth, or even the truths she was looking for. "I offered to help the lad, and also helped two of his associates, in exchange for assisting me in some jobs. I have not seen any of therm in over a month, though, which is a bit irritating since his two friends were supposed to procure some Native American items for me....."

I was kinda assuming that would be the case.... ... but that's up to Sand ;)

..... Dr. Archeville will need a new change of pants. Questions! Question the first: I would assume that the MAX Armor's Protection would replace his Lab Coat's Protection, but would his Force Field still work/add to his total Toughness? Protection 9 + Force Field 6 = Toughness +15? Question the second: since this is going to be a temporary thing, will I be permitted to bypass PL caps? (Toughness 15 + Defense 8 = 23 = PL 12 in terms of defense/toughness, but at this point Doc was PL 10.) Question the third: Can we say there's a jail-made -- and so not as potent -- version of Mad Maple's Ice Staff aboot (er, about)?

"Looks like you picked the wrong day to come in to work!," he demon roared back as it tossed another hellfire ball. The demon's luck appeared to have changed: not only was he unfazed by the guard's latest blast, but his hellfireball found its mark!

Reflex save is... 19, passes. Toughness save is... 18, just makes it! Attack, attack, attack... 24, a hit!

The Shadow Academy is about taking in young Metahumans (or even young powerless-but-determined Batman-types) and molding them to be the next generation of supervillains, the same way Claremont takes in young Metahumans to train them to be the next generation of superheroes. I see no reason that they wouldn't be interested in hiring adult supervillains to help teach. Claremont does have some Metahumans on staff (including at least one PC here!), so that'd still be balanced.

Alright, now here's my question to you: Jos knows two foxes -- Sirius, and Fox of the Terrible Trio (as seen here). He wants to misdirect the woman by talking about Fox instead of Sirius. Woman in Red's command was "tell me what you know about the fox". Is that ambiguous enough that Jos can misdirect her like that? Maybe a second save (same DC) to try and do what she says but do it in his own way?

*whistles innocently* So, it's an Emotion Control/Calm effect?
