RRG sees no more signs of blob-monsters from his aerial view, nor any chatter concerning additional dead bodies. The chatter he hears over the radio from the police is nothing out of the ordinary (for an investigation of a mostly-devoured, nothing-left-but-a-head murder victim). From the radio chatter he hears that they're taking the head and as much of the goo and slime as they can collect -- from the area around the head and from the trees nearby -- back to the labs.

Since I only used a VP to re-roll because I thought the initial failed roll was going to lead to unconsciousness, can I undo that and keep the VP? Bel's action for this round: shooting Leader 2 in the face. And he's carefully aiming, so no power attack. Annnnd.... he misses! *edits his last post*

Hrm, there appears to be some conflict. The Condition Summary List (pg. 171) says *checks ATT* Ah, alright, Kenson does agree with what you've said: staggered + staggered, not staggered + any damage, equals unconsciousness. So... Bel has 3 Bruises, and is Staggered, but conscious!

"Oh, you miserable little mortal! I'm gonna roast you!" Another ball of dark fire appeared in the demon's hand, but unlike the others it did not grow much larger once created. The demon pulled back and flung the hellball towards the one remaining foe... and missed as the guard successfully ducked out of the way. I'm not sure which is worse, the pin in my shoulder or the fact this guy won't go down!

Reflex save is... 18, passes. Toughness save (factoring in 2 Bruises) is... 15, fails by 3, so he takes a third Bruise... but he's not Stunned! But he is Staggered, and any further damage to a staggered character shifts the character’s condition to Unconscious. So Belphegor is out, for at least a minute. EDIT: Going to use my one Villain Point to re-roll the Toughness save... and that doesn't help!

.... Avenger sees a garishly clad youth in neon green prancing about, singing off-key. Also, since Sand retired Quark, he's not here. He suddenly remembered he left the (plasma) oven on.

It's very hard to write "the demon wants/is trying to rape this woman" under a "DCAU / X-Men Evolution level of standards" framework. But that is the framework I want in place here, and I am trying very hard not to compromise it.

Oh, nice, flames. I... wait a minute... flames... unusually strong feelings of affection & lust... is she some sort of succubus? If so, did someone send her, or is she here on her own agenda? Maybe I should tease her some more. Well, tease her in a different way.... Jos pulled her closer, completely unharmed by the mysterious Woman in Red's flames; he wasn't even breaking a sweat. His right hand stayed on her hair/back of her head, while his left wound around her waist. "Mmm, I do make you hot, don't I? I- oh!" his tone suddenly shifted, as if he had suddenly remembered something. He brought his lips closer to her ear and whispered, "I do actually recall seeing a fox-man, some weeks ago. He didn't look like a spirit, though, he appeared very...." he took advantage of her open-backed dress to run his left index finger up and down her spine, "... solid. You say you sense his presence here; it is entirely possible he's come in here, as a customer, while in human form. I could keep an eye out... if you made it worth my effort." He shifted his head's position, obviously intending to kiss her.....

If it's actual fire damage, he could be affected. Immunity (fire) just covers environmental effects (like Environmental Control), not actual Damage effects. But his Toughness save is so high, he might not be damaged. Strike 1 Aura = DC 16. Toughness save is... 25, easily passes. However, did you notice that I did try to grab her (specifically, grab her by the hair) last round? Did he succeed? (He got a 21 on his attack roll.) Don't know if you'd want to change her actions due to that.

"I know what I'm doing, mor- whoa... oh, dammit!" At first it looked like the demon had twisted behind the door of the elevator just enough to avoid the brunt of the blast, but at the last moment his damaged wing spasmed and stuck out, and was caught in the middle of the blast. It was apparently a very painful experience.

Reflex save is... 17, passes Toughness save is... 11, fails by 7, so Bel takes a second Bruise and is once again Stunned!

Need a Sense Motive check form ya, too. And if Geckoman or Quark are going about sneakily, I'll need some Stealth checks from 'em. ;)

The demon flings its beach ball-sized ball of dark fire, but it misses wildly; perhaps the damage the demon had suffered to its shoulder was throwing off its aim. Oh, come on!

Looks like they both failed their Toughness saves by 10+, so they're both Staggered & Stunned, right?

Toughness save vs. Leader 1's shot (including -1 from bruise taken last round) = 11, which fails by 12. Belphegor is Staggered & Stunned!
