Indeed we will! Be safe!

Actually, I was mistaken: Search is for 5ft.-by-5-ft. squares, so unless you know exactly what area RRG's going to inspect (or you're doing an Extended Search, which'll take a looong time), I need some Notice checks, to see what parts of the 'big picture' you see.
-
Alright, gimme some Search (for clues) checks.

Avalon's mentioned he's experiencing some (country-wide) internet issues.

And They Called Me MAD! (IC)
Dr Archeville replied to Dr Archeville's topic in Else Ifs and What Worlds
Sergeant Grigori snorts, then slaps RRG on the back. "Hey, that's the kind of spirit I like to see! You just watch yourself, capiche?" He went back to reading over the file of the case, as well as some other papers on his desk. As RRG left, he could see the Sergeant rubbing/nursing the hand he'd used to slap the hero on the back. -
Groovy 8-) (It's nice when threads that are directly ties to other threads contain links to those other threads. Helps newcomers not feel quite so lost )

I gathered that I was hoping for a bit more detail. Did a portal open, someone call her from the other side, and she step through? Or did some Olympian beastie swoop down and carry her off?

*pokes head in* So... what happened? Why (IC) is Divine gone?

And They Called Me MAD! (IC)
Dr Archeville replied to Dr Archeville's topic in Else Ifs and What Worlds
"Hey, that'll be appreciated," Sergeant Grigori replied as he lead RRG back to his desk, "the FCPD can always use an extra set of eyes. We may be able to use your tech know-how, too." Grigori grabbed a large folder from his desk, though when he showed it to RRG there was surprisingly little in it, aside from information on the three victims. "Thing is, though, that we really don't have much to go on. The only thing we've found tying the three victims together is that they all used the Promenade for jogging, and all were attacked at night. Now, what was used on 'em," he flipped to the back of the folder and pulled out a sparse technical read out, "it was some sort of organic... something that ate through flesh and bone, clear through. The boys in the lab haven't been able to identify it, but they think it may be from a metahuman, maybe a teen who don't have control over their powers." "I'm not sure that's the case, though," the sergeant continued with a bit of a sneer. "I think," he paused, looked around, then leaned in a bit closer to RRG, "I think it's aliens." -
No prob. Make a.... Diplomacy check, see how open the Sergeant is with RRG.

No, I mean the Timeline "post" itself is going to get so big it can't fit into one post, due to the limit (60,000 characters) on message size. I've no problem with the set up (first post be the Timeline/index, additional posts be from other folks adding to it) as it stands now.
-
Updated! I've a feeling I'm going to need to split the Timeline into two or three posts in the near future....
-
I think that's got everything; if I needs to be editin', lemme know!

"Vell," the doktor finally said, after several moments of intense study and mumbling and murmuring, "I haff okay news, good news, bad news, und really bad news." "De okay news," he starts, "is dat dis vas not built by von of your students. It came from another dimension, a parallel von not too different from our own." "Und it vas activated by somevon on de other side, intentionally. Vhich is de good news: it did not activate by accident, dere vas a purpose to it, und dat means your students are alive, because if whoever did dis vanted dem dead dere are far simpler vays." "Vhich bring me to de bad und really bad news," he said, biting his lip. "According to mein scans of de residual pandimensional resonances, de dimension in qvestion is known as Erde, a parallel in vhich de Axis forces von Vorld Var II, und remain in power. Dat's de bad news. De really bad news is dat some of de components in dis teleporter are of Grue origin... meaning your students may be in de hands of Nazi Grue from Another Dimension!"

I'll shoot Raylis a PM to remind him. I'm not sure MarkK was planning to have any NPCs here, except maybe Daedalus. (He was going to have Daedalus in on the first time we tried this, but made no mention of having him in this take.) I'd lean towards having this just be for the PCs.

Well, at least I know I get to keep the kid, with her blessing. 'Course, now I know he's got someone else he owes fealty to, and he's probably gonna have him watch me, so I'm gonna have to really watch myself around him. "I thank you for that," Jos said after taking his copy of the contact, "he has been a fine employee." He paused to take a sip of his tea, "anything else while you're here? If you fancy this tea set," he flashed his salesman's smile, "I can make you an offer...."

Alrighty, folks, there's a little something for ya.

Ace Danger Ace's keen insights (i.e., his good Sense Motive modifier & Skill Mastery in said skill) tell him that the woman who'd run back into her burning home is largely in shock, and is trying to salvage 'creature comfort' items rather than anything that's truly irreplaceable or valuable. He is able to escort her back to the bivouac, after convincing her to leave the Hummel figurines. Arrowhawk Is alone in Scarab's Lair, cut off from everyone. And his leg hurts. Avenger Manages to scare/corral cats into Phantom's Cloak, then sets out to see... a badly-wounded Malice at the bivouac w/ Dark Star? Yes, it was him, or at least someone wearing the blasted remains of his armor, and what's more, he was missing an arm! Dark Star Found and stabilized Malice, and carried him to the bivouac Ace Danger had set up. He then sets to work healing those he can. Malice Is full of conflicting emotions. And is missing an arm. Phantom Drops Crazy Cat Lady's ten kittens off at the nearest shelter. When she appears, every animal there freaks out, as if Something Very Wrong had appeared. Or as if traces of Something Very Wrong were clinging to Phantom's cloak. Like the traces of energy from the dimensional breaches she'd been closing. Popping back to the disaster site, she finds [see below] Scarab The Scarab abides. Sen Sen is able to carry/escort the young and buxom woman to the bivouac. Mercifully, it appears that all the casualties have been gathered to the bivouac, either via your efforts or because they were able to move there under their own power, just as the paramedics and firefighters arrive. There are about 20 gathered in all, most suffering from minor smoke inhalation or minor (barely 2nd degree) burn damage; most of the residents of the area had been away that morning when the explosion occurred. A few -- such as the concussed man Scarab had saved, and a St. Bernard who suffered some serious burns while fleeing with its family -- do need more serious treatment, but it is nothing the paramedics (and dark Star) cannot treat or at least stabilize. There are only two fatalities, the two Dark Star found in the pit of the crater. Fires still rage, though, and smoke is still spreading, and the firefighter's efforts are hampered by the damage to the water mains.

Probably not, since this is Freedom City PbP, not Streets of Mortal Fighting Kombat PbP :P

Doc is going with whichever team can get him closest to a useful computer. "Useful" being "one that can tell us something we don't know, or can shut down things we need to shut down, or send the Bad Guys on a wild goose chase, or et cetera." ;)
