  1. I'm gonna go with "not banned outright, but closely watched." (Unless someone can point out where I've said differently. )
  2. "Dimensional teleporter?" he repeated as he reached his workshop and began collecting his gear. "Haff you tried contacting Doktor Atom? Or Darian Cale? He is good mit dat sort of ding... unless he's de von who started it? Oh, is he von of de students missing?" First he retrieved his Gravimetric Belt from the station at which he'd been working on it; with it on he could zip around the massive workshop and collect his remaining gear in a snap. Next was his wondrously useful Elektromagnetischer Schraubenzieher, and last but not least his armored lab coat.
  3. Bonus: Ace Danger's father may very well have fought Dr. Archeville's grandfather, Doktor Verrill Herman Archeville, who worked for the Nazis. You can read more about him (and other ancestors) here.
  4. Ecal, still with us? Sand? Did you have a relapse?
  5. Belphegor had been studying Bunker #2 as best he could from their spot, breaking his examination to chuckle at Vestige's words to Knievel. "I'm not sure which one I'd be rooting for in that fight." The demon turned back to his 'assigned' bunker, and debated internally on which way to approach it. Fly in, roaring, fists blazing? Or sneak in, disguised as one of their own, maybe get in some misdirection before bursting out from among their ranks? Ah, decisions, decisions....
  6. Oh, he is good. Wait - 'Violation'? Violation of what? This bears some further scrutiny. Terhune's broad smile returned as Will explained the modification he could make. The mystical obscurements he'd set up in his shoppe would fool any magical means of detection, at least while the item and inspector were in the building. The wards wouldn't help if they examined the item mystically once outside the shoppe, but he didn't intend to sell many "authentic magical artifacts" anyway (since doing so could very quickly draw the wrong kind of attention), just a few to those who seemed too gullible to bother mystically scanning it, too green to tell the difference between the magic of the item and the magic hiding the fact that the item was made very recently, or too desperate to care whether the item was three centuries or three weeks old. He turned slightly to face Gwen, "oh, no, madame, no need for that: what your associate just described should be perfectly fine for my purposes. Now, is there anything you would be needing from me?"
  7. The lad that Mr. Terhune suggested Darian go keep an eye on dismissed any doubt concerning his punk-status when he glared at the otherdimensional gadgeteer and spat out "Whatchoo lookin' at?" Terhune and the older lady continued to chit-chat.
  8. The Atomic Think Tank seems to be having some problems, too.
  9. And then you can check this (and this) out!
  10. Darn, you can't. Okay, use the Chat die roller, but copy the whole line (including time/date) and post it to the OOC thread.
  11. I'd really prefer a link of some sort for our records. This looks promising.
  12. When I said "depending on when this occurs," that was supposed to be a subtle hint to you to make a Timeline entry for this (and any other linked threads), since that's a pseudo-Index of all the adventures we've been running. ;)
  13. Doktor Archeville, Genius of Science!, was hunched over a metal table, once pristine but now spattered in assorted fluids. In his left hand he held a gleaming 20 cm-long blade, and carefully sliced into the biecps femoris muscle from the haunch of a Sus scrofa scrofa. "I understand, Ms. Harcourt," he replied, as the integrated house-wide sound system picked up and transmitted his voice back to Stephanie. He dropped what he was doing (allowing one of the house-'bots to clear the kitchen) and took off for his workshop, "vhat is de nature of de emergency? Biological? Chemical? Nuclear? Extraterrestrial? Ultradimensional"
  14. Alrighty, I think I've got the Timeline all updated. For future entries, please be sure the link you provide goes to the IC thread, not the OOC one.
  15. "If you can get me to a terminal," Archeville said, "I can probably tell you exactly vhat is in dere. Disable many of de alarms, too."
  16. "Vestige said he's got that covered," a growling but resonant bass voice echoed, "which will be a boon to us, if he come through." The demon walked through the door, its great wings folded about it like a cloak. "We are still planning to do this tonight, yes?"
  17. I was waiting for Avalon to post, since Ronin's remark about communication seemed a perfect que for him to appear ;)
  18. Because they are not weapons is why not. The "scan and copy" thing you described sounds very much like Mimic (which is a Variable power). Or you could just go with Gadgets (a Variable power that lets you make devices). Or an Array with different settings ("blaster," "neural stunner," "camouflage armor," "goggles"). Buy the most commonly-used things as powers in the Array, and use extra effort to one-shot any rarely-used items.
  19. It's been a loooong day
  20. I'd lean towards that being a true Flaw.
  21. I'm almost certain that's not how that +4 bonus is supposed to be used. I've never seen anyone interpret it like that. Everything else seems spot-on.
  22. If the fatigue from Tiring just kicks in after the Alt Form is deactivated, then that's probably not even worth a 1pp Drawback.
  23. If you read Mecha & Manga, you'd probably know It boils down to the differences in American & Japanese cultures, IMO. Like how American tv & Japanese tv (ex.: game shows) are very different.
  24. Yeah, that'd work. We can say Ace & Emissary were co-sponsoring this (or something), and Emissary called Ace in to take over b/c he was called off on Freedom League business. Any objections?
  25. Oh, depending on when this occurs, Gossamer might could be brought in. She's going to be/is a science teacher at Claremont.
