It seems that when I made those forums, I did not set it so anyone could post in them. That should be fixed now :)
-
Yeah. Since they'll be of such limited use, they won't need to go through the same approval process regular characters have to go through, but the Refs will keep an eye on them to make sure nothing too crazy is going on.
-
That sounds (more than) a bit too squick for this place.

And, lo, there shall come... changes! First, Moira's original idea -- "like a coffee room thread. Where like all the character are on set of a movie studio or something, the director says cut and they all take a break and hang out discussing whatever." -- is not going to be allowed. I am very opposed to this, it's far too Meta for what I'd like to see on this board. However, all the other ideas will be done, at least on a trial basis. The "Wreck Room" (for PCs to fight each other) can easily be done in-continuity: we can say the Freedom League/the Albright Institute/ASTRO Labs/A Wealthy PC/Some Mysterious Benefactor set up a big "play area" a few miles outside the city limits for any and all metahumans to come and work out & spar (possibly as a pre-pre-screening for future Freedom League membership). Known villains aren't allowed in (they have the Arena), but villains who can adequately disguise themselves could come in. For the non-canon/out of continuity stuff, a separate forum has been made. Through a Glass, Darkly is where alternate versions of our characters can go, and Else Ifs and What Worlds wil host the actual non-canon stories (using either the existing characters or alternate versions). There are two caveats: 1) To avoid the case of people posting more in there than in the regular, in-continuity forums (which should be making up the bulks of the board), we are limiting the number of active threads in there to ten. 2) Similarly, posts made in these non-canon stories count as only 1/2 for end-of-month post tallying purposes. That is, 2 IC posts made for a char in a non-canon story only count as one IC post for the month. Also, those two forums are like Las Vegas: whatever happens there, stays there. Which is to say, anything that goes on there is not to be mentioned or have any impact on stuff in the rest of the board.

To use something that's not a limb as a limb (most common example being manipulatory feet, like what Henry McCoy has), you use Additional Limbs. Though if it's an example of a character with no limbs (like some sort of snake-person), you don't need Additional Limbs, but you also won't have the full "No Limbs" disability drawback.

Alright, I'm back now. And now it is... A new round, and Arrowhawk's up. But before he goes, I'd like both Fortitude saves from everyone in the area. Still sticking with Initiative orders for now, in case someone decides to attack Malice anyway. Or Malice has a change of heart. Or [fnord].
-
I believe you'd still need the Improved Grapple feat for that. Or Additional Limb 1 (can use torso as a limb)

"Wherever you wanna take me, beautiful," he replies with some bravado. A close look revealed him to be a young white guy, wearing the outfit of an inner city gangster (sneakers, hoodie, chain on his neck that looked gold but obviously wasn't based on the faint green ring around his neck, etc.) The woman whose purse he'd snatched ran up, or ran as well as a middle aged woman in a hip-hugging dress could. "Oh, thank you, thank you, girls! It's a shame more young people aren't as conscientious as you! And you," she pointed to the tackled youth, "you out to be ashamed of yourself!"

Angel lands a good hit... and this time he falls, getting only an 11 on his opposed (Acrobatics) check!

He's a nimble bugger -- 22 on Acrobatics check to avoid!

"AUGH!" Dr. Archeville's force field had been flickering when he appeared and as he hit the ground, resulting in actual dirt getting on his pristine white lab coat. When he rose, he seemed temporarily far more focused on brushing it off than anything else. As he began to slowly realize where he was, and that he was among friends, he appeared to calm. "Ja... right... dere is much to divulge, und much for us to do, und-" He stops suddenly and looks around at the assembled heroe and otherdimesnional guests, then to Scarab, "vas dere a recruitment drive while ve vere avay?"

So... Divine Angel Purse-Snatcher Go, Divine!
-
Alright, ladies, time to roll initiative to see who gets to go first. Purse-Snatcher has... 9

As the two lovely ladies exit Hot Licks, they see a woman about 30 feet away shriek and point at a man who is running away from her (and is now about 30 feet away from her). He's carrying a purse which does not match his casual clothing, but it does match the woman's dress perfectly. "Stop! Thief! Help! HELP!!!!" [[ Moar instructions in OOC thread. ]]

"Ah, so you attended mein lecture on Rachael und MUTT?," he asked, clearly drawn to Alex and losing all interest in the apple he'd been polishing. "Or did you hear of it secondhand? Und dis teacher, does he or she specialize in psychic abilities? Or more routine analyses of sentience und sapience?" He paused and tapped his chin, and his eyes unfocused a bit, "does Claremont even haff classes on psychic abilities, or an instructor specifically for dose? If so, I vould very much like to examine dem, it may be of help to mein own experiments in psychic abilities." His focus snapped back to Alex, "you said you are psychic: vould you mind sharing mit us vhat you can do? Und you, Ms. Gryphon" he turned to face Twilight, "vould you care to share mit us? Appearances can be deceiving, und I would not want to make any presumptions about de people mit whom I may be vorking."

The Superfriends! (Phalanx & Psyche = Wonder Twins, Geckoman = Batman)

A string of curses, in several languages -- English, French, Mandarin, Russian, and his native German -- flew from Doktor Archeville's lips. Dark Star could make out "blind", "idiot", and "hound". And then he turned around and stomped out towards the door they'd been lead in through. "Ve are leaving now, Herr Star. Ve haff much to report to our allies back home, if ve hope to help dis vorld."

Might help folks if we knew who all was in it :P

Correct. You are not going to be allowed to have an Alt Form for each genre/type of music that he'd listen to.

Impressive. Most impressive. Assuming each step beyond Awesome is a rough doubling in size, you can get the following: Awesome (6 EP) = 5,000 feet / 1 mile = a small town Awesome +2 (8 EP) = 8 km / 5 miles (height of Mt. Everest) Awesome +6 (12 EP) = about 160 km / 100 miles in diameter (Death Star I) Awesome +7 (13 EP) = 500 km /about 300 miles in diameter (North-South length of Scotland & England) Awesome +8 (14 EP) = 900 km /about 500 miles in diameter (Death Star II) Awesome +10 (16 EP) = 4,000 km / about 2,500 miles in diameter (The Moon) Awesome +11 (17 EP) = 8,000 km / about 5,000 miles in diameter (North-South length of Africa) Awesome +12 (18 EP) = 16,000 km / about 10,000 miles in diameter (The Earth) Awesome +15 (21 EP) = 125,000 km / about 77,000 miles in diameter (Jupiter, Saturn) Awesome +16 (22 EP) = 2,000,000 km / about 1,242,000 miles in diameter (The Sun) Awesome +22 (28 EP) 150,000,000 km / 93,000,000 miles in diameter = 1 AU (average distance between the Earth and the Sun; Dyson Sphere) Awesome +27 (33 EP) = 50 AU = diameter of our Solar System (as measured by Pluto at its furthest point) Awesome +37 (43 EP) = 10,000,000,000 km = 63,000 AU = 1 light year Awesome +52 (58 EP) = 100,000 light years = approximate diameter of the Milky Way Galaxy. Awesome +70 (76 EP) = 100,000,000,000 light years = approximate size of the Universe

Archeville makes a small throat-clearing noise when she takes his hand. "Oh, do not concern yourself mit 'prattling on' -- I enjoy hearing of de good times people spend mit deir familiy... or of any time spent mit family!" "Ah, jah, here ve are, und mit a bit of a crowd, too!" he said as the limo pulled to a stop. Archeville pushed a few buttons on a small console at his armrest, and one of the doors opened for them; through this door they could see several people outside the restaurant slowly gather around to see who it was that had arrived in such a vehicle. He hopped out and extended a hand to her to aid in her exiting. Once she was out, the door closed behind her, and the limousine sped off. As it did, she got a glimpse of the driver, who looked exactly like David Hasselhoff! The crowd of people (ten and growing) worked to draw her attention back.
