Never speak of that movie! Lady Liberty's Light Control 11 means she can bring daylight to a 2-mile radius area. Dr. Stratos's Weather Control 13 can cover a 10-mile radius. I see no problem with it.

Her Tougnhess is off: Limited Protection isn't halved against the listed attack form, it's gone. Her Tougnhess should be +7 (Imp 7); +0 vs. blessed, magic or silver, and Knockback would be -7, -0 vs. blessed/magic/silver. Unless, like Avenger, the Flaw only applies to the Impervious part, not the whole Protection. In that case, it'd be +7 (Imp 7); +7 vs. blessed, magic or silver, and Knockback would be -7, -3 vs. blessed/magic/silver. The listed cost indicates it is the former.

I had been playing Fallout 3 for a while, but drifted away. But now with all the DLC out for it, I may have to get back in.

Either or both are fine. Well, not "fine," they're horrible actions, but they're do-able. ;)

Shaen asked if the heroes were all Scarab saw with her ESP. I asked Warmonger to make a Disguise check for Ronin, then realized I wasn't sure if Ronin & his garbage truck were even in Scarab's ESP radius. After some chat, we determined that he was. Scarab's Notice check is > Ronin's Disguise check, so she sensed something was off about the driver of the garbage truck. So Scarab's gone to intercept.

Doc chuckled a bit, "I am sure ve vill find a vay to make do. Und as for vhat I said earlier, it vas a simple toast I learned long ago." He held up his glass again to look at her through it, "'Life is wonderful, you just need to see it through de right glasses.'" Archeville was not looking out the windows, not looking at the crowds as they went by. He had more than enough right here, in the limo with him. He lowered his glass to take another sip of the smoking, bubbling pale brown liquid, "regarding de extraordinary as de ordinary is an.... interesting vay to live von's life, und can be qvite revarding. However, I haff always thought it equally important to be able to see de extraordinary mitin de ordinary, to take nothing for granted. To fail to do so is to lose sight of vhy ve do vhat ve do in de first place." He set his glass down and sat up a bit, leaning a bit closer to his companion, "May I ask a somevhat personal qvestion? You said your life vas 'simpler before'. How did your family und friends react vhen your abilities..." he reached out and ever-so-lightly caressed a nearby lock of her golden hair, "... first manifested?"

Dr. Archeville had stopped pacing when his counterpart began to speak of Gladiator's final fate, but seemed to freeze completely once he was done talking about it. "You vill haff your chance, Herr Star," the Doktor finally said, speaking slowly at first, "but ve must have plans, und reinforcements. Und ve can get both, back home."

And as was discussed in Chat, Ronin is within a mile of the courthouse, so he is seen by Scarab.

So... are they lying to Terhune about how potent their services are? Because if not, that's one incredibly (and overly) powerful NPC you've got brewing.

Aside from the lack of preferred coding (bolding and italics and such), and my general dislike for Iron Age characters (mitigated by the fact it's an NPC largely being run by a Ref), I see nothing wrong here.

So, am I making a Gadgets check (Gadgets 1 = 1d20+1), or a roll based on whatever I can make with the Gadgets?

Down further; I stopped at those three since I thought DS's reaction to seeing a wounded teammate might be something along the lines of pausing and going "OMG!" That, and it's a timing thing: DS doesn't have Quickness or any Rapid senses, he can't actually search an area for survivors any faster than a normal person.

Arrowhawk & Malice They remain unconscious. Everyone Else Is now telepathically linked, thanks to Scarab. Ace Danger The elderly couple coughed quite a bit from minor smoke inhalation, but seemed more or less alright. A neighboring house held a WASP couple and their two children, who were trying to carry out as much as they possible could. Avenger Steeling himself, the nocturnal knocker of ne'er-do-wells leaps and bounds towards one of the two homes before him, the one seemingly in more imminent danger of being engulfed in flames. His inhuman reflexes allow him to avoid a falling flaming 10-foot-tall tree, and soon he is inside. Though a 'normal' man would be overcome by the quickly-building toxic smoke in the home, the toxicity was of no threat to Avenger himself. The smoke's opaqueness was, though, and that coupled with the roar of the flames made it nearly impossible for him to discern whether or not there was anyone actually inside the house. But heroes don't give up that easily... right? Dark Star Dark Star lifts and separates the flaming rubble from the car, and the relieve family shoots out of the car. He then turns to the crater. It's rather deep, about 50 feet, and as he goes down he sees sewage, water, and power lines all spilling their contents into the hole. The first two bodies he came to, both about a third of the way down and within a few feet of each other, were clearly beyond his help: the remains of a well-built man, whose entire front half had been burned/blown away down to the gleaming white bone, and the right half or so of an equally well-toned woman. Further down, about halfway, underneath several large pieces of metal, was a third body, which he recognized (despite the tattered costume and numerous burns): Arrowhawk! Mariner Looks for more people who are in need of rescue. Phantom Phantom realizes three things about these tears. The first is that there's no trace of any magical radiation. Secondly, the tears are all completely random. Almost every single one leads to a different dimension. Lastly, and mercifully, most of the tears seem to be closing on their own, and none appear, at this time, to be growing larger. Scarab After rescuing the comatose & contused man from his burning home (and espying Sen go in for the dog) and laying him at [Ace Danger's triage center?], the eternal psion sets up a telepathic switchboard for all involved, to facilitate communication and rescue efforts. Sen After rescuing a dog (and seeing its master being carried through the flaming roof), Sen continued on to the next house. It is also obscured by thick smoke, but at this one he can hear a human voice, a woman's voice. He could not quite make out exactly what she was saying over the din, but he could definitely tell she was calling for someone, though her cries were periodically broken by... he could not tell.

Dr. Archeville resumed pacing. "I am already vorking on dat, Herr Star. Dough I vould very much prefer not to leave you here alone -- if Odysseus und his men vere able to track und capture you, und brainvash you, I vould not vish to face you in combat! Besides vhich, I believe you vould be the best vay for us to bring other heroes over from our vorld for a surgical strike." "But!" The Doktor spun and regarded his counterpart, "dere is von other ding I vould like to know. Der Gladiator: vhat can you tell us of his final battle mit August Roman? Anyding und everyding you can vould be of use to us."

That's what I'd thought DS had meant, for folks to take the wounded to the triage center Ace Danger's set up, and he'd be there in a moment to heal folks once he was done checking the four bodies in the crater.

Because Dark Star appears to be focusing on what's at the bottom of the crater. And the whole issue of putting a severely wounded man closer to the what had been and may continue to be a source of danger.

There appears to be a small conflict -- Scarab's last post indicates she dropped Concussion Man off at Dark Star's feet, after he'd posted that he's gone down into the crater.
