  1. Okay, so now it appears we're down to Ecal, Kavos, Sand, and me.
  2. I lied -- I must confer with the other Refs on something before continuing.
  3. Just happened, only ones on the scene are the players who've posted. Only if your chars have absolutely no other way of learning of the blast. There's lots to do in Riverside, several reasons either of your chars might already be in the area.
  4. Go ahead and add yourself in, since I've no idea where Shaen's gotten to.
  5. What will it regenerate?
  6. Uh-oh.
  7. "Vell, dat's de odd ding," he replied, "he did not attack me, at least not physically, dough von might could consider his boorish personality to be a type of assault! But, no, he crashed mein lecture und... asked qvestions. About how I became so smart, if I vas smarter dan other metahuman geniuses, und about Doktor Metropolis und how he effected repairs to de city. It vas very strange, Frau... I'm sorry, I don't believe I caught your name?"
  8. alderwitch, why does fire affect Phantom so?
  9. Ah, I should have specified: I'm not allowing the "Affects Others" part on the Teleport. And yes, the Concealment effectively gives it Subtle 1.
  10. You should determine when he got his most recent upgrades. Check the timeline. Remember that for re-rolls, if the die result is 10 or less, you add 10 to it. So if you roll a 5, you treat the 5 as a 15.
  11. Hooray! We might not die a horrible death in this terrible place!
  12. Cy? Sand?
  13. Nope, and I'm not allowing the Teleport, since you failed to explain how it fits (and it's more than a bit cheezy anyway). Cyroa, I'm gonna say Dark Star cannot detect Vestige. Have an HP for the setback. I'll try to post IC tonight and get this moved along.
  14. But only a DC (15 + [12 / 2]) 21 Toughness save if we pass the Ref save And if we do pass the Ref save, the damage is low enough that neither Doc nor Dark Star would need to roll that Toughness save, due to our Impervious Toughness. Doc's Reflex save: 20 (so close!) (actually a 19, due to -2 Dex from fatigue) Doc's Toughness save: 16  That fails by 11, leaving Doc Staggered & Stunned (and Disabled, if Odysseus is doing lethal damage). ... I'm gonna give Dark Star some time in the spotlight. Doc's Current Conditions 1 Hero Point Fatigued (-2 Str, -2 Dex, -1 attack, -1 defense) Staggered (can take a single move or standard action each round) Stunned (can take no actions other than reactions, flat-footed and an additional -2 to defense [effective defense is 11]) Because he is stunned (and cannot take any actions except reactions), his active Sustained duration powers (i.e., his Force Field) may drop. It's a DC 20 (10 + power rank) Concentration check to keep them up as a reaction. Fortunately, Doc's still got his Enhanced Wisdom up to help. Concentration check... fails, a 14 Odysseus's blast overloaded Archeville's force field, making it fall, and roasted the Good (Mad) Doktor.
  15. I look forward to having the time to write it! ;)
  16. Okay, let's get the rolls out of the way Part 1 -- Craft/Mechanical, DC 30 With either his Enhanced Intelligence or his Electromagnetic Screwdriver helping him, he can pass by Taking 10. Part 2 -- Craft/Electronic, DC 35 With both his Enhanced Intelligence and his Electromagnetic Screwdriver helping him, he can pass by Taking 10. Part 3 -- Craft/Chemical, DC 40 34, 44, 48, 34 -- got it on the second try. Part 4 -- Craft/Chemical, DC 45 31, 37, 35, 46 -- just managed to get it on the final roll
  17. And your Notice check is....?
  18. Growth is 3pp/rank. Growth 4 costs 12 pp, not 8.
  19. By the rules, yes, you can spend a Hero Point to Recover, and make an immediate recovery check as a full round action. By the "Refs Not Wanting Malice To Get Away That Easily," I'm going to say you cannot, and so must wait to regain consciousness in ten rounds, barring some outside intervention. (Same goes for Arrowhawk.) On the plus side, Arrowhawk and Malice both get a Hero/Villain Point for this setback.
  20. Yeah, make a Notice check. Is DS using all his Super-Senses?
  21. More of a "Story Trumps Rules" -- given all the firepower Malice would have in his personal bunker, if it all goes off under him, even if he's in his armor, he should be lucky to make it out alive.
  22. I was going to suggest that exactly this happen, that the things Doc makes falls into some disgruntled Albright scientist's hands and they have a short rampage as a new supervillain ;)
