There's more to interaction skills than what words are said. And while it's true Interaction skills can't be used to alter a PC's attitude, I would say it's bad roleplaying to not at least acknowledge that the PC or NPC trying to affect you seems -- or at least would seem to others to be -- friendly/nasty/scary/whatever.

I'd think that would be more reason for him to be intimidated by a super -- if he's not expecting anything beyond run of the mill bar patrons, then when something decidedly 'super' comes along (and having 13 ranks in Intimidate in and of itself is pretty 'super'), it should blindside him.

Not 'till we hear from a majority of the Refs.

It is Free, but I've always gone by the rule that you can't activate & drop a power in the same round. That way, you can't do the uber-cheesy "I drop my Insubstantial as a free action, shoot him in the face as a standard, move, then re-activate Insubstantial as a free action". I did find a thread discussing Selective Force Fields on the ATT, and resurrected it (last post was from over two years ago).

Mimics using her own powers against her. (And she can't do the Obadiah Stane thing of blasting/vibrating her own head off.)

I've checked through the ATT, and this is the best I can find on the matter:

The whole thing. Makes it easier to track. Garage (as mentioned), gym or pool would be okay. I'm torn on security, since that is something that has direct game value (since it sets the DC for Disable Device checks to break in). It works just like Attractive, like I said. General equipment (computer, cell phone, camera, basic flashlight), no problem, unless you're Struggling. I'd go with Diplomacy 1 (+2, +6 w/ Attractive; +2 more w/ Wealth)

Okay, here's what I be thinkin': Drawback 1 (Impoverished) You have the clothes on your back and whatever's in your pockets, and that's it. Comic Book Example: Man Thing Complication (Struggling) You can usually get all your monthly bills paid, if you don't have to pay to have something repaired or replaced... but most months, you do have to pay for something to be repaired or replaced. You either rent an apartment by yourself, or you live in a small house that either has one or two roommates, or is in either a bad neighborhood (like the Fens) or a remote rural site. If you own a car, it's a Rolls Can'ardly (rolls down one hill, can 'ardly get up the next); most likely you walk, bike, or take public transportation. Comic Book Example: Peter Parker (most versions) Standard Wealth Middle class, salaried employment (9-to-5 job). You're in either an apartment or a small (1 or 2-BR) house in an average part of town, or a medium (3-BR w/ garage) house in a bad part of town or a remote rural area. You have an economy or mid-size sedan, or something comparable. Comic Book Example: ??? Benefit 1 (Wealth 1/Wealthy) Professional employment (skilled lawyer or doctor), owner of a small business, or you draw a regular stipend from some inheritance. Upper middle class or lower upper class. (Complications can be used to reflect any responsibilities your job entails.) You're either in an apartment or small (1 or 2 BR) house in an upscale neighborhood, a medium (3-BR w/ garage) house in an average neighborhood, or a large (4-BR w/ 2-car garage) house in a remote rural location (since homes like that don't show up in bad neighborhoods). You can have any sort of car short of a high-end sports coupe; you may also have your own prop plane. Comic Book Example: Captain America, Matthew Murdock, Foggy Nelson Benefit 2 (Wealth 2/Rich) You are a millionaire, and may own a small corporation (depending on complications). Solid upper class. You live in either a medium (3-BR w/ garage) house in an upscale neighborhood, or a large (4-BR w/ 2-car garage) house in an average neighborhood, or a mansion (5 or 6 BR, 3-car garage) in a remote rural location. You can have almost anything shy of a military-grade vehicle. Comic Book Example: ??? Benefit 3 (Wealth 3/Filthy Rich) You're a billionaire, with resources comparable to multi-national corporations or government/military branches of major countries. You can have any sort of (standard, non-tricked out) house you want, or almost any sort of vehicle. Comic Book Example: Gomez Addams, C. Montgomery Burns, Lex Luthor, Tony Stark Each rank in the Wealth feat gives you a +2 bonus to Diplomacy and Gather Information checks which involve bribery. Having the drawback imposes a -1 penalty on those checks. The Struggling complication means you may automatically fail certain Diplomacy or Gather Information checks at he Ref's option (ex: The bouncer you're trying to talk to simply will not talk unless given an adequate bribe, which you may not be able to afford). Like Attractive, this bonus cannot increase your total effective skill rank higher than the campaign’s power level limit. The Wealth Benefit does not carry any free status, just the money. (Wealth but no Status = eccentric wealthy recluse whom no one has heard of.)

Triple Murder in Riderside, Rebooted [OOC]
Dr Archeville replied to Dr Archeville's topic in Archives
Shaen? You staying stunned or are you going to spend on of your HPs to shake it off? EDIT: If you are staying stunned, I need Concentration checks from you to see if her Flight and Force Field stay up. -
Wesley and Mashin-Kun slowly trace their way back out of the sewer/access tunnels, and emerge near the westernmost edge of the Hanover Zoo. Wesley feels bruised over every inch of his body, but a quick check reveals nothing is broken or seriously injured. Well, nothing except his nose. It was going to take several hot showers to get the stink and the feel of the corrosive slime (and other... things) off of him. Still, he knew he'd done the right thing, and for the first time in a long time -- since that accident years ago back in his hometown -- he felt at peace with himself, if only for a moment. The papers reported a complete drop in acid-based murders. Weeks earlier.... Dr. Archeville sighed as he began to clean up the spilled contents of the tubes he had recently purchased, which the seller claimed were from a "South American Nazi Lab." He knew his grandfather had fled there after World War II, but never really pursued much of anything about him, partly out of concern that others may think he was going to continue his grandfather's work (which included chemical weaponry, size-alteration techniques, clockwork automata, and time manipulation). Still, he was curious, yet skeptical, about the purchase. Unseen by Archeville, a few barely-perceptible droplets of the formulas -- which were indeed from his grandfather Verrill's South American laboratory -- dribbled down one of the sinks and down into Freedom's sewage system. ~fin~

Dr Archeville replied to Heritage's topic in Non-Player Characters
Sorry, I coulda sworn I'd already started looking over this. Background/Personality look fine, numbers add up, I just have one small request: edit the skills so they're in the standard board format From this To this and so on. -
Heritage - The White Rook - PL10 Hero (NPC Tier 1)
Dr Archeville replied to Heritage's topic in Archived Characters
Changed to a Tier 2 NPC per player request. -
That burns your last HP. Fort save vs. Aura: fails by 6, so bruised + injured + stunned. Fort save for coup de grace: passes It's unconscious for at least 5 more rounds. Beat, beat, beat, beat the poo-blob.... After four long rounds of beating on it, it finally bursts and leaks its contents everywhere.
-
After beating on it for almost half a minute, the horrible tihng finally ruptures and bursts, spewing goo everywhere. Mashin-Kun looks as if he would vomit, if he could.
-
IC Reason: It's bigger and can absorb more punishment. OOC Reason: It's not being treated as a Minion.
-
Mid-Round 8 Wes stunts an Explosive Burst of Death. (He feels the Necro-King smiling down on him.) Huge Blob: asplodes Gargantuan Blob: Fails by 17, so unconscious + dying. Fort save for dying (DC 10). Gets a 21, which passes by 10 or more, so it stabilizes and is unconscious and disabled. Unconscious for 4 rounds. Initiative -- Name -- Condition 17 -- Wesley -- Bruise x7 -- 1 HP 0 -- G. Blob -- bruised, injured, staggered, disabled, stunned, unconscious Begin round 9
-
Sickly purple energies radiate off of Wesley, causing the huge blob to implode and wither. The gargantuan blob wiggles and writhes, but it's still mostly intact (and still immobile).
-
Mid-Round 7 Wes recovers from his staggered condition. Huge Blob: misses! Gargantuan Blob: Unconscious (round 3) Initiative -- Name -- Condition 17 -- Wesley -- Bruise x7 -- 2 HP 15 -- H. Blob -- Undamaged 0 -- G. Blob -- bruised, injured, staggered, disabled, stunned, unconscious Begin round 8
-
The blob does not react. The blob does not care. The blob cannot be reasoned with. The blob misses.
-
Mid-Round 6 Wes spends an HP to begin recovering from his staggered condition. Huge Blob: misses! Gargantuan Blob: Unconscious (round 2) Initiative -- Name -- Condition 17 -- Wesley -- Bruise x7, staggered-- 2 HP 15 -- H. Blob -- Undamaged 0 -- G. Blob -- bruised, injured, staggered, disabled, stunned, unconscious Begin round 7
-
Wesley focuses on super-charging his own ability to heal. It's... almost... there.... The huge blob takes a swing at hi, but misses.
-
Wesley is stunned again by the assaults. For a brief moment, Wesley is safe -- the Gargantuan blob is motionless, and the Huge one misses him.
