"I dought you might like it, Hellbound. But if you to do lure him out, alert de rest of us before doing anyding." "Dere are some microphones on de table behind you, Gecko. Vell, two tables back, und three to de left." "I vould suggest searching in a spiral pattern, Star, starting from de alley. Look for unusually large electrical signals, either larger-dan-usual taps from de local power grid or generators in a place dat should not haff a generator. Concealment vould be prudent -- ve vant Otaku focusing on Gecko's & Hellbound's taunts, not you." One of Archeville's machines went DING, and a screen on one side began displaying readouts. Victoria studied them intently, switching to another machine's readout when it went DING. A large smile spread across her face. "Ha! Otaku, you clever boy! Only you vould dink to use biorestorative radiation for someding like dis!" She turned to the others, "I know how he did dis, und better yet, haff a better target for you to track, Star." Victoria brought out her Electromagnetic Lipstick, and used it to generate beachball-sized holograms of their altered cells, including some in the process of being altered. "Basic Biology: humans haff 23 pairs of chromosomes, und von pair determines gender. If it's XX, you get a girl, XY gives you a boy; de Y-chromosome is actually a shrunken or broken X-chromosome. Vhat Otaku's beam did was cause de Y-chromosome to regenerate into an X chromsome, giving us a pair of Xs und derefore..." she glanced down at her ample bosom, "vell, a pair of other dings. Dis low frequency radiation has fairly distinct signature, dough it fades vhen outside living cells. Mein own scanners detect an identical signature to de south, but cannot pinpoint it."

You can use Wealth to buy stuff, it just won't stay with you from adventure to adventure. 'Permanent' gear is brought with Equipment points.

HIT Science & Engineering Lecture Series, v.2 [OOC]
Dr Archeville replied to Dr Archeville's topic in Archives
D'oh! Okay, I said previously we've moved about 1,600 feet, as the madman flies. Arrowhawk's motorcylce has Speed 5 (250 mph, or 2,500 feet per round). He can be in firing range now. (With a +13 to Drive, I won't make you roll.) -
Taking 10, with his Enhanced Int & the resources of his HQ, that's a 34. :)

What Doc is (Currently) Testing For * To see if we've really been turned into women (from XY to XX), or if something else is going on (like we went from XY to XXY or X-). * If we do have new X chromosomes, if they're identical to our existing X chromosomes, if the Y was 'stretched' into a new X, or something else. * Any trace of residual radiation common to all samples which would be from the weapon, which could lead to figuring out how it was done.

"Star, I dink you may be best suited to tracking Otaku down," she said as she removed some blood samples from a centrifuge, "you can detect energy fluctuations, such as dose found in de secret headqvarters of a teenage mad scientist, ja? Start in de alley where ve vere attacked." "I vould prefer it if ve did not destroy anyding rare or expensive in order to draw Otaku out, but drawing him out is a good idea. Gecko, I believe you vould be best suited for dat, assuming your aircraft contains a decent communications array und loudspeaker." She began extracting some of the spun blood samples into other vials of technicolor liquid, "If you can mask your voice so it sounds like your normal male voice, and broadcast that I haff already reversed vhat he did to us, did so very easily, und made disparaging remarks about the blatant sloppiness of his techniques, dat may draw him out. Professional rivalry, und all dat. Hellbound, I dink you can be of use in dat plan, too." Victoria placed some of the vials into assorted machines, which hummed and spun to life, then took up a notepad and began writing, "Avenger, vonce you give me your samples, I vill have a list of tech suppliers you can check out who may know something of Otaku's scheme, or at least know somevon who knows someding. Vesley, I dink you vould be of help in dat task."

So, will Hellbound let his guard down enough to take a shower in Doktor Archeville's House of Horrors? I do need to know, since that will determine what I post next.

4 tasty unspent pps for Doc. 3 feats 1 for Beginner's Luck 1 for Second Chance (Craft [Chemical] checks) 1 for a second rank in Skill Mastery, making it Skill Mastery 2 (Computers, Craft [chemical, electronic, mechanical], Disable Device, Knowledge [life sciences, physical sciences, technology]). (Added Craft/Chemical and the three Knowledges) 1pp in Skills 1 rank each in the three Crafts, and 1 rank in Knowledge/Technology. They should then look like this Craft (chemical) 12 (+17, +23 at HQ or with E.S.; +22/+28 w/ Enhanced Int) Craft (electronics) 12 (+17, +23 at HQ or with E.S.; +22/+28 w/ Enhanced Int) Craft (mechanical) 12 (+17, +23 at HQ or with E.S.; +22/+28 w/ Enhanced Int) Knowledge (technology) 12 (+17, +23 at HQ or with E.S.; +22/+28 w/ Enhanced Int) Done by Sandman XI

Not exactly thrilled with that, either. You have one simple-minded bruiser already. Why are you turning Prodigy into one?

Something else just occurred to me. And, no, it's not something you'll need to rearrange points on, it's just a name thing. This Is pretty much the same as this The first line in the Gadgets power says "You can produce a wide variety of Devices (see the Device power) essentially at will," which is pretty much exactly what you've been describing. And by "Hard to Lose," it means that while you need something for your mojo to work on, his mojo can work on so many things that the only way to deprive him of it is to stick him someplace that has absolutely nothing with which he can work, which is IMO roughly equivalent to "can only be taken away when you're helpless." And Gadgets are Continuous by default. Also, it looks neater. ;) -
HIT Science & Engineering Lecture Series, v.2 [OOC]
Dr Archeville replied to Dr Archeville's topic in Archives
Nope; since your TK isn't damaging, you can't use the "damage" option under Grapple. End round 8/Begin round 9; Initiatives & Conditions 24 -- Arrowhawk -- fine -- 2 HP 23 -- Captain K -- 2 Bruises, Entangled, Grappled -- 1 VP 16 -- Doc -- fine -- 1 HP 13 -- Dark Star -- fine -- 2 HP Arowhawk, gooooo! -
Everything else will need to be bought via equipment points.

You'll need to chat with Kavos about that.

Maze, a majority of the Refs have weighed in and do not like your idea. First, the Metamorph power is statted wrong: per our House Rules, increasing the Action required to use Morph is a drawback, not a Flaw. (Cost actually works out the same, but it's still written wrong.) Second, the concern that it's not a Jekyll/Hyde, Banner/Hulk thing, it's a... Reed Richards/Hulk thing. Also, the "if my main superpowered character gets knocked out, I immediately become a second superpowered character which is more likely to be able to kick your butt" thing (regen from unconscious can be problematic even without being tied to Metamorph and gaining a differently-powered form).

Several attempts? I'd think he would've figured out something during the first time he had Hellbound in his home (Speaking of, I'm still waiting for an answer from you in that OOC thread.)
-
And how will they interact with the mystical crime family Kavos is bringing in for Ember Paw?

Nah, we can keep it as is, just remember it's really 2 lower. -
Probably You've still yet to indicate whether or not Jill's giving any blood or not. (Or, for that matter, whether or nor Jill is capable of urinating. She can if Jack's type of vampire can eat normal food, otherwise that part of her 'plumbing' dried up years ago.)

In that opposed Grapple check, did you include the -2 penalty from being entangled? -
HIT Science & Engineering Lecture Series, v.2 [OOC]
Dr Archeville replied to Dr Archeville's topic in Archives
Yes, opposed grapple check: Knievel uses his normal Grapple modifier (attack + Str + Super-Str), Dark Star uses his attack + TK rank (so, 1d20+19). (Shoot him!) -
Well, once Doc gets a chance to study Gecko's gear, there's a chance he'll be able to figure out where it's really from. ;)

"I haff been dinking about at, Herr... Frau... Star. Did you not tell me, vhen ve first met, dat you can revert to your original flesh-und-blood human form?"

Sandman XI (Silver) - Quark - PL13 Hero (NPC Tier 2)
Dr Archeville replied to Sandman XI's topic in Archived Characters
No, because the cases where not being able to do those things are going to be very few and far between (and I see absolutely no reason he shouldn't be able to repair things or build non-Invention things).
