  1. "You are still avake? How interesting -- I thought you had passed out. Vell, no matter. You haff been a very bad girl," he chided, wagging a finger at her with one hand as his other made adjustments to his wondrous wand-like gadget, "und so I shall haff to take your toys avay." "Und from you, too, little man!," he added, pointing to #6. Dozens of tendrils of light blue energy sprang forth from Archeville's Electromagnetic Screwdriver, lashing out at the two conscious Power Corps members. The tendrils moved lightning-quick over them, flipping open access panels, pressing buttons, turning dials, unhooking latches, tearing loose wires and overloading circuits. Archeville's gadget began to smoke and spark a bit... but the two suits or armor did worse. And in a short moment, it was done. The suits, now completely shut down, were little more than bulky weights around the two mercenaries.
  2. 2 HPs now. Standard Action to reconfigure E.S. Extra Effort to surge to gain another Standard action (so can take one full action). Full Round action -- and last HP -- to Disable Technology/Battlesuit on #2 and #6, as described/mentioned earlier in thread. Perception-range Machine Control = no attack roll needed; Skill Mastery = can Take 10 = result is 30. Their suits are disabled. DC 25 Craft check & 4 hours work to get them back working again. Tiring on Gadget = it loses 2pp of effectiveness, so it can only do 3pp worth of stuff, until repaired (Craft check, DC 10 + 1 hour... or, if Mental Quickness applies, 6 rounds).
  3. Grrrr.
  4. Using Extra Effort to Increase Power on Emotion Control by 2 ranks, to Emotion Control 9. Will save, DC 19. Using new Villain Point to negate Fatigue. And he's targeting Wesley. With Hatred, towards his teammates.
  5. ... damn, that was a powerful punch. The dark red-scaled demon opened its eyes -- then squinted them due to the intesnity of the light radiating off Scarab -- and raised its head. And then it saw the portal and what lay beyond. ......... what kind of woman was I marrying?! Wait, no, not a real wedding... okay, what to do, what to do- ah! That kid, the one who tried to effect me with... something. He tried it on Sister Spooky, too. Let's see how strong his mind is, and how resistant he is to stereotyping and profiling. Belphegor focused on Wesley Knight, pouring all of his cruelty and malice into the young man. They all think you're just a punk, a simple thug. Think you're nothing. You're a token, they don't really want you around.
  6. Okay, I'm gonna say Knievel is pinned to the ceiling (effectively held immobile [but not helpless; he's held spread-eagle up on the ceiling], loses his dodge bonus and suffers an additional –4 penalty to Defense), but he's not under crushing weight so he's not limited to taking either a move or standard action, he could take a full action. Except he's immobilized.
  7. So now it's.... Scarab's turn!
  8. We already have seven stickied topics. And I don't think anyone else has any non-wrapped up threads left (though I could be wrong).
  9. From WIRED:
  10. Unless a Device has the Restricted power feat, yes, anyone who takes it can use it.
  11. Sand/Quark? Delemental/Lady Iniquity?
  12. Sand, Quark's up.
  13. If you have Morph/Metamorph, you don't need Alternate Form. Metamorph effectively gives you an entirely new character sheet (though mental attributes and skill ranks & feats should stay largely the same, to represent the fact it's still the same mind); you can just assign powers to the Dragon Form sheet without need for the Alternate Form power.
  14. The aforementioned House Rule for Impervious has been put into effect:
  15. Toughness vs. Dark Star's Blast 12 (DC 27) = 11. Which fails by 16. Which knocks him unconscious. And knocks him back. Damage 12 - Knockback 3 = 9 = 500 feet.
  16. My torso! My precious torso! That'd be a 10, failing by 12. Which would stagger and stun him. No. I'm not going down like that. Not by Avenger's hands. VP to re-roll. Got a 22, much better.
  17. No, because there's no gravity under Knievel. He can only "fall" up. Also, I'm double-checking at the ATT to see whether or not the Captain really is not-pinned or not.
  18. Has she gone through a "Placement Test" yet?
  19. No, he's not pinned, he's just stopped at the ceiling because it's in the way. Which means he's no longer limited to taking either a move or standard action.
  20. Updated by Doc.
  21. Fort save to resist Knight's Emotion Control/Despair = 23, just makes it! Reflex save vs. Area Death thing (DC 22) = 6. Fort save vs. Area Death (DC 27) = 19, fails by 8, so bruised & stunned. Eh, I'll keep it. He has no ranks in Knowledge/Arcane Lore, nor does he have Eidetic Memory or Jack of All Trades, so the best he can get is a 15 (basic answers). But he fails with a 9. Notice check = 24
  22. Yes. The existing Morph is "Any humanoid, Sustained duration," so if he's using it but is stunned or KO'd, he reverts back to demonic form. This is "one form, Continuous duration," so if he's using it and is stunned or KO'd, he'll retain his Jos Terhune form. Actually, scratch that. I'll instead go with That way, he can take any humanoid form with either Morph, but the ones that look really nice -- the ones with the Enhanced Feats and Skills -- require a modicum of concentration.
  23. The aura rising around the dark red-scaled demon dissipated before fully forming, though he did see it. And its source. "I'm gonna-" Standing as he was next to the source of the necrotic pulse, it took the blast full-on, and was stunned a moment as deathly energies raced through its body and caused several scales to slough off. ... ouch As it happened, he was in a good position to notice something unusual. Unfortunately, he had no idea what it was.
  24. You can edit it if you like. Since he's not dazed, he can take action, like talk smack, or... well, most anything, really, since he's no longer pinned with crushing gravity.
