Good grief -- even with 250pp, it's still not enough to get everything I want for Doc or for Belphegor!
  2. You mean, treat it like a Sustained Damage effect, where you take damage/have to make a Toughness save each round (at the beginning of your turn, before taking any actions) you're in contact with it? Yeah, that's ho such "traps" normally work. As for the DC... well, first, how/why are the walls electrified? And what walls? Describe to me what you two think the place looks like (because, while it can change around per the "owner's" whims, my mental image of it is probably very different from yours). Are you running it like the caged-area-in-a-bar in which Wolverine was introduced in the first X-Men flick?
  3. So... will Avenger, Scarab and Dark Star be catching Bel with his pants down (since it looks like they'll be coming here not long after Bel got here), or what? If not, I'll make another IC post.
  4. I'd say that's more a "making sure you earn the points you got for yours Drawback"
  5. I'm going to say yes, that it works like Transform: he needs Affects Insubstantial to mimic Incorporeal (Insubstantial 4) beings, but not targets with a lesser rank of Insubstantial (lie energy beings with Insubstantial 3).
  6. Hrm, perhaps I botched my Reading Comprehension roll. I'll re-read the posts.

    I like this. :)
  8. I'd be disinclined to allow it. "Summoning and questioning supernatural entities" would be a use of Gather Information (you're interacting with them, so it'd fall under Interaction skills), and "occasional tidbit slipped in from his liege" would be akin to the "overheard rumors" version of Gather Info.

You could add other "unluck" attacks, like a Perception Range Drain Attributes (sudden muscle cramps, spasms, etc).
  10. They're not unseen anymore! ;)
  11. "Cale, see vhat you can pick up from Dark Star! I don't know vhat powers he has, but surely two are better dan von!" Archeville said as he flew past Darian. The Doktor then faded from sight, like a picture going so badly out of focus that it simply ceased to be. Dark Star's senses were still able to accurately perceive the Doktor's gravity field, though. Archeville flies into the hangar, high up to get a bird's-eye-view of the assailants.
  12. That's fine. You're actually doing a lot more than I'd intended: there was going to be just one metahuman, and only five skill checks total (one Notice, two Know/Tech, one Craft/Electronic and one Craft/Mechanical), with three chances to make each. But what you're doing is actually a far better test I am going to want to see the stats for all those inventions, though.
  13. Supervillain's Handbook now has a page at GR's Online Store.
  14. *uses Cosmic Admin Powers to merge the two posts*
  15. Yay    (Take your time, though, no rush; we'll still be here.)
  16. Another question: Why is Melinda (a Nightstalker) paling around with Avenger (a Daywalker)? What has he done to prove himself to her, to earn his apparent "she treats him better than a moderately useful lackey/pawn" status?

No, but that's only because no one's yet asked him. ;)
  18. Behold our new Staff Member -- Darth Brainicus! (ShaenTheBrain)
  19. Belphegor (PL 7-ish) could squeeze you in sometime between January 6th and January 20th.
  20. Go Quark! So it looks like the initiative order is: Quark Bad Guys Doc Dark Star
  21. How do Melinda's Vamps, the Theatre District Vamps, and the Greenville McMansion Vamps all view each other? Is the Cats set designer who rules the elevent Theatre vamps also a vamp, or something else? Are the Nighstalkers (Standard FC Vamps) and Daywalkers (vamps like Avenger) the only two kinds? Are there other bloodlines (perhaps tied to geographic regions)? Why do some vamps have souls, but some don't? Is it tied to the specific bloodline (i.e., all vamps of Bloodline X have souls, all vamps of Bloodline Y don't), or is it more individual than that? Melinda, if played as an NPC (which you seem to be doing a lot of) is going to be limited to five PL 6 Vamps (or ten PL 4 Vamps) active/with her at any one time, per our house rules on Minions. Speaking of Melinda, why the change in her personality? Iron Age Villains and Vigilantes says she'd be one of FC's greatest villains if not for her complete obsession with destroying Nightrage, but he was destroyed in the Terminus Invasion. What are the causes of vampirism? Who/what was the first vampire? Was there a true "First Vampire," with all the bloodlines descending/mutating from it, or were there several "First Vampires"?
  22. You're either going to hate or love the Big Reveal at the end. Possibly both. ;)
  23. I'll PM Toptomcat to see if Shinken's still going to attend (I've not seen him here in a while).
  24. True, but we do try and keep better continuity than Marvel. Which means that, if Scarab's fighting fire giants in Jötunheimr, she couldn't at the same time also be busting the heads of Zoom dealers in the Fens. Also, one of the Big Adventure Ideas the Refs have cooking would guarantee* a crossover between a Mostly Street-Level Group and a Mostly Mystical/Monster-Fightin' Group. * Not a guarantee. Void where prohibited.

I already had both Belphegor and Doc planned out to PL !4/219pp. Well, all but 10 or so pp spent, to leave wiggle room in case of unexpected in-game developments. Now I'll have to work on the 250pp versions. I do admit I am curious to see what other folks here ultimately envision their characters becoming.
