I'm impressed (especially with Comedian), though Ozy's costume is too dark. He should look far more light & angelic.

Spectacular Spider-Man (Episode 2 added)
Dr Archeville replied to Endless Flight's topic in Off-Panel
I'm not thrilled on the opening song/credits. That's one of my only two criticisms. Seems to be taking place 4 months after Parker got bit (at Connor's lab). While he's been active as Spidey, he's been something of an urban legend, with folks not really knowing if he exists or not (and one cop saying he's not really doing much good since most of the crooks he captures walk). He, Harry Osborn & Gwen Stacey are all close friends at high school, while Parker's other friend, Eddie Brock, has moved on to college (and works with Connors as an intern). No sign of MJ yet. And, yes, Spidey does banter. A lot. First ep had Spidey catching two jewelry store crooks, one identified as Flint Marko and the other unnamed. (Marko will become Sandmna, and I predict the unnamed crook will become Rhino.) Later, an unseen crime-boss -- presumably Kingpin, though Wikipedia says it's Frederick Foswell/Big Man; voiced by the awesome Keith David -- hires the Enforcers to take care of Spidey. At the same time, Spidey had to deal with the Vulture, who was after Osborn b/c Osborn had based his flight system off of Toomes's own flight system, yet gave no credit. (Disney's Gargoyles had a nice cameo at the very beginning, with Spidey swinging by Hudson and the Trio. Greg Weisman, creator of Gargoyles, is the producer for this show.) Second ep introduced Electro, created in a lab accident at Connors' lab. He blamed Connor's for the accident and wanted him to cure him. At first he just wanted to be left alone and go home, but his uncontrolled discharges caused havoc; later he went and demanded Connor's cure him. In the fight a stray blast hit Connor's injector of his latest lizard formula, which I'm guessing is going to amp it up and be more' effective' than his other do-nothing lizard serums. Also in this ep, Parker tries to get work at the Daily Bugle, and offers pics of Spider-Man, which no one has. Jameson kicks him out, then realizes photos of Spidey would help sell papers, so he offers a cash reward for whoever can bring in pics of Spidey. And Parker tries to tutor painfully hip and popular Liz Allen (Flash Thompson's girl). She brushes him off at first, but changes her tune when he flat out tells her "look, you need this tutoring, not me; call me when you're ready to learn." My other criticism? Connors is sporting a bionic arm to replace his lost one, though still also experimenting with lizard-based regeneration serums. IMO, giving him a bionic arm changes the character a fair amount. Sure, there could be "phantom limb" pains, and maybe it's not got as good a sense of touch as a real arm, and maybe people do stare at him for it, but for lil' kids watching, they're not going to be thinking about that, they'll be thinking "Cool robot arm!" and "why would he give that up?" If the writers felt he had to have some sort of prosthetic (since prosthetics are far more common than they were when the character was first created in 1963), then IMO they should've given him something more like the prosthetics we have available today, which, while restoring a fair deal of functionality, are still very, very crude. -

"Alan, Keira, we-" Archeville calls out before realizing both his friends have seemingly abandoned him. "Vell, zhat's just great!" Undeterred, the Super-Scientist stands and walks towards Dryad, activating his force field as he moves. Once he's about 60 feet from her, standing between her and one of the now-silent DJ mix stations, he calls to her. "Oh, I zhink zhat's a bit rash now, ja? I mean, look at all zhe good Industry has done! Und it's not like some ancient rainforest was slashed und burned in order to erect zhis place!"

What's that? My hearing aid seems to be busted... So, looks like Initiative order is * Starsmore (26) * Dryad & Kizzy (both 11) ** [in cases of ties, my local group goes with whoever's got the highest initiative modifier to go first, so in this case it'd be Kizzy (+5 Init), then Dryad (+3 Init)] * Doktor Archeville (10)

Well, depending on how things go in "A New Day, A New Way," Dryad may have three heroes interested in finding out more about her. ;)

I keep thinking "The King in Yellow"... but we would want the PCs to be coming back, right? I've acted in roles for No, No, Nanette (the Roaring 20's, and part is in Atlantic city), Much Ado About Murder (which has oodles of Shakespeare in it), and Rebel Without A Cause (rebellious teens in the 1950s, good for a Claremont High gang). I've helped on productions for Dracula, Little Shop of Horrors, Pirates of Penzance, and Brigadoon (a disappearing Scottish village).

Doktor Archeville needs a home. And he's got 1pp to spend. Equipment 1 (5 equipment points) Archeville's Home Location: Hanover (North Freedom), halfway between the Hanover Institute of Technology and the Albright Institute. Appearance: On the outside, it appears to be just another one of the new hosing units that spring up all over Hanover. It looks much the same inside, with top-notch pre-fab furniture and fixtures in the kitchen, living room, and bedroom. Laboratory and workshop are both down in a concealed basement level. Stats: Size: Small (House-sized); Toughness: 5; Features: Concealed, Laboratory, Living Space, Security (DC 20). Cost: 5 equipment points. I do plan to be adding more to this later (as pp awards accumulate). Updated by Barnum

(Hunh, seems Invisible Castle's had a bit of an overhaul since I last used it.) Archeville's Initiative roll (1d20+1 = 10)

[[ Midnight Hour's a dry club -- no alcohol. ]] Archeville sits across from Alan and takes a long look around the club, sweeping the area with an eerie Terminator-like watchfulness. "Zhis place has quite a different atmosphere und tone zhan the last club."

Fine by me Aw, Archeville's plan was to sit back and watch his two new minions - er, friends in action Call out plans and tactics. (Defensively, he's a PL 10, but offensively, unless he can whip up some invention, he's PL 4.)

Isn't Dryad's Possession vs. non-humanoids only? If so, she wouldn't be using it on any of the characters. And since most animals have very low Will saves, it's not as underpowered vs. them.
