  1. Just wondering how many non-natives of Freedom City are running around on the board. Doktor Archeville's from Germany (and I apologize in advance if I get anything about German culture terribly wrong, though I do not apologize for zhe bad Marvel-German accent ). I know Poltergiest is from Bulgaria. Any others? Oh, and if anyone has or plans to create a non-American character -- especially a European one -- and needs something Science-y (like a lab accident) for their background, feel free to use Doktor Archeville :)

  7. "Ah," Archeville replied, in a tone that seemed to be that of one trying to mask disappointment. "Vell, I'm sure you've found fine vays to make your mark in life, and shall have an exciting und interesting life in zhis fine city." Archeville again spread his arms wide to encompass both his newfound acquaintances, and his tone shifted to one more cheery and hopeful, "Both of you shall!"

  9. And Archeville's 30. Though probably looks to be in his mid-20s, what with being an Attractive Superhero ;)

"Oh, ja, zhere haff indeed been some crazy parties in Germany...." he says with a chuckle, "und, since I am somewhat new here, und plan to be staying for zome time, I vould like to see zhe nightclubs. I never zhought to go out to zhem zhe first time I vas here -- I attended zhe Hanover Institute of Technology for a few semesters, a few years back." "Harvard, eh?!" Archeville seemed to perk up when he heard Alan say that. "I haff been vanting to go zhere for zome time -- I hear zhere libraries are quite a sight. Vhat vere you zhere for? Business? Law? Medicine?"

  13. "How could I call you a villain? Vell, you are zhe one mit an unnatural trail of darkness behind you.... But, not all lights are good, nor is all darkness evil." "As for vhy I am here, it is as I said: I vish to help. I've done much to help folks in Germany and some surrounding countries, but I believe I can do more good here," he spread his arms wide, "in Freedom City. I'm already working on setting up a base in Hanover, though zhe... bureaucracies here are less efficient zhan vhat I am used to." "So, vhat brings you two out here? Are you a native, Alan?

  15. Groovy. Thanks!

  17. Question about Poltergeist: What is meant by "Noticeable [snare] When Kizzy walks around small tendrils of shadow seem to follow her."? Snare's already noticeable by default. Do you mean she's always got small tendrils of shadows trailing behind her? Or that her Snare goes beyond noticeable and into obvious[/] (optional rule from Ultimate Power), that they're so dark and unnatural that the snares can be seen clearly by an average bystander from 200 feet away?

  19. "I'm quite relieved to hear zhat, Alan!" Archeville said as he shook his hand. "I vould hate for us to get off on zhe wrong foot!" "Bulgaria, eh?" he says/asks as he turns back to Keira. "Zhat's a good deal southeast from Germany, I believe. I am from Schönwald im Schwarzwald, in zhe Black Forest, far to zhe southwest of Hamburg. I haff been zhere a few times, helped break up a ring of smugglers operating zhere. Nasty business, zhat. As for mein belt, I'm afraid to say zhat zhis is zhe only one I haff. I had a spare, but it vas destroyed vhile fighting some self-proclaimed hexen -- er, witches -- in Externsteine." "Plus," he added with a wink to Keira, for all I know, you two are villains trying to fool me into vorking for you!"

  21. Still sounds like Shapeshift to me, limited to only shifting into whomever he touches, with a Linked Mind Reading ability (and perhaps with a Drawback or Flaw to show he takes on unwanted mental aspects as well, if it's possible for the 'mimicked' psyche to take over). Doesn't matter that the character himself doesn't know exactly what's going on, what matters is what the Player and GMs/Refs know is going on. At least, that's how I see it.

  23. It was only due to Archeville's inhumanly fast brain that he was able to keep up with the barrage of questions shot at him by Keira, and respond with almost equal speed as he righted himself up. "No. Vhy not? Germany, originally, but now here. Thank you. Science. I haff been called such byzhose I haff helped. I'm not. I'd rather he not. As I said, I do vhat I can. Nice to meet you." Archeville smiled and swept his hair back from his face. "To answer your questions more fully: No, I am not mit ze circus, and I see little reason that they wouldn't let their performers out. I am originally from Germany, though have recently moved here to America. I am able to float because of this," he pulled one side of his labcoat back slightly to better show off the circuitry-lined softly glowing blue-and-gray belt he wore. "Vhich I invented meinself." He let got of the edge of his coat to let it fall back into place, "I haff been called ein 'superhero' in mein homeland, and if zhat is zhe label others vish to apply to me as I do vhat I can to help, zhen so be it." He looked over at Alan, seemed to study him intently for a moment, then looked back to Keira. "I am not a villain, and I'd rather your friend Alan not beat me up. Kizzy, you say? Not an American name, I'd wager, but zhen, your accent does not sound very American, eizher," he said with a chuckle. He then bowed to her with a grand flourish, "I am Herr Doktor Viktor Archeville, und I am most pleased to meet you."

  25. If he's actually a form-changer, why not go with Shapeshift, Limited only to taking on the forms and abilities of other (touched) beings?
