  1. Who's got two thumbs and is super-efficient? This guy! I've tallied all the folks who've submitted their threads, and edited sheets accordingly; so far that's about half the board. (The ones which have not yet been done are in red.) Seems to have been a slow month -- not unexpected, since May is when many folks are taking final exams, or go on short vacations -- but we did hit one milestone this month. Can you guess? (Hint: it's me!) Arranged by Player, it looks like this: Airon no posts all month Saiph: 0pp Weaver: 0pp Aoiroo Catalyst: 1pp Changeling: 1pp Silhouette: 3pp Arichamus Heraldo: 4pp King of Suits: 3pp Wave-Eye: 2pp AvengerAssembled Citizen: 2pp Edge: 3pp Harrier: 4pp Azuth65 Siphon: 1pp Wisp: 1pp Belladonna no posts all month Daeva: 0pp Blue Rose Kit: 1pp Stormbreaker: 1pp Cowboy no posts all month Vitae: 0pp Cube no posts all month Pyre: 0pp Steel Shrike: 0pp Cubist Jubatus: 1pp Dariusprime Fulcrum: 1pp and is now Gold Derin no posts in 2 months; archiving Medic: --- Whiplash: --- Dr Archeville Dead Head: 1pp Doktor Archeville [maxed]: 5pp and is now Orichalcum :cthulhu: Protectron: 5pp Ecalsneerg Arrowhawk: 1pp Equinox: 1pp Geckoman: 2pp Scholar: 0pp Electra Fleur de Joie: 4pp and is now maxed  Miss Americana [maxed]: 1pp Papercut: 1pp Wander [maxed]: 3pp Eviscerus Leviathan: Spitfire: Fox Dragonfly: 1pp Gaian Knight: 0pp Wraith: 1pp Gizmo Ghost Girl: 5pp Jack of all Blades [maxed]: 4pp Midnight (II) [maxed]: 3pp Wail: 1pp GranspearZX Arcturus: 1pp and can now be up to PL 13  Crusader: 1pp JackgarPrime Victory: 1pp KnightDisciple Cobalt Templar: 1pp Gabriel: 1pp Lone Star no posts all month Kid Cthulhu: 0pp Zap: 0pp Magic Butterfly: 1pp Paragon Quintessence: 1pp Quinn Crow: 3pp and can now be up to PL 11  Overclock: 3pp Raveled Glowstar: 1pp Ironclad: 3pp Starlight: 2pp Sandman XI no posts in 2 months; archiving Life Knight: --- Scuffles Glow: 3pp and can now be up to PL 9  Semi-Autogyro Myrmidon: 2pp Shofet The Penitent: Sorus Sage: 2pp Willow: 1pp Supercape Lord Steam: 1pp Rene de Saens: 5pp Supercape [maxed]: 5pp Synth: 1pp TheAbsurdist no posts in 2 months; archiving Asad: --- Thunder King Crimson Tiger: 1pp Voltage: 1pp TiffanyKorta Blodeuwedd: 3pp Revenant: 2pp Young Britannia: 3pp and can now be up to PL 9  trollthumper Cannonade: 2pp Nick Cimitiere: 3pp Vahnyu Net Fly: 2pp VideoGeek no posts all month Corporal Chaos: 0pp Vith no posts all month The Swan: 0pp Velveteen: 0pp The 100+ Posts per Month Club No one!

  4. In order to make sure the Refs accurately count all your IC posts and award you the due amount of power points, please post with a list of all the threads in which your character posted IC this month (including the News forum). Remember that we require that posts be a minimum of about 500 characters. You can see here what a 400, 500, and 600 character post looks like. Posts shorter than 500 characters will not be counted. Please also mark things from the Non-Canonical forum as being non-canonical, as those count 1/2 (2 posts made for your char in a non-canon thread count as 1 post for the char). And if you are GMing something, list those threads, too. GM-only posts count as full posts, and can be assigned to whichever of your characters needs a 'push' to get up in post numbers. When you make your list, please post a link to the IC threads -- preferably to the top of the page where your first post for that month appears -- so we (and the auto-count program) can jump right to it. When you post the link to your thread, the URL should look like this http://www.freedomplaybypost.com/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=4478&p=100643#p100643 or this http://www.freedomplaybypost.com/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=4478&start=10 or this http://www.freedomplaybypost.com/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=4478 NOT this http://www.freedomplaybypost.com/viewtopic.php?p=100643#p100643 The four digit number in the URL (bolded & underlined in the correct example) is the thread id number which we need to use the autocountamotron. When you start a thread, make sure [iC] is in the title/subject line of the IC thread, and [OOC] is in the title of the OOC thread. If you make a post in an IC thread as a GM or an NPC, add [GM] in the subject line of the thread. If you make a post and [iC] is not in the subject line, the AutoCounter will not count it. And if you do not put [GM] in the places you post as an NPC or Ref, it won't count those properly. Please list your threads in alphabetical order. Please clearly note any threads in which you are both player and GM/running an NPC. Also, when you start a new thread, please mark it on the Timeline (if you have a handle here, you have an account for the Wiki, and anyone with an account can edit it). You do not have to be specific on the date, but I would like to keep track of when things are happening relative to each other. The Timeline also serves as an index for everything we've done in the nearly three years this site's been active, and it's useful to know if X happens before or after Y. If you've done any extracurriculars -- artwork, HellQ, 20 Questions, NPC, Vignette, Wiki work, etc. -- please be sure to list them along with your active threads. Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in your post counts being postponed or skipped completely.

  9. So... does it look like Blueprint's going to try and im-Print Junior? Because if so, Protectron's attacking.
  10. Protectron's always happy to see diplomatic, non-violent solutions, so let's go with that.
  11. Since Moon is dazed, can Dead Head do knockback to knock him prone? (The -4 on melee attacks won't bother his Perception-range effects, and the +4 to Defense he gets vs. ranged will actually help him some, but the -4 penalty he takes to Defense vs. melee attacks will help us.) Mutt should have knocked Chariot prone, too, since he did daze him.
  12. Maybe, maybe not -- Protectron tries, but it's got a CHA of 10/+0 and no actual ranks in any social interaction skill! Its choice of words may be solid, but its delivery is decidedly lacking. Diplomacy check (1d20=16)
  13. "I am incapable of spitting at you," it said flatly, "as I lack salivary glands. And I did not mean to imply you are stupid -- in fact, it is clear to me that you are not stupid. A stupid organic would not have been able to evade me for so long, or find ways to spread so far so quickly." "I would like to make a suggestion, a different way for you to be remembered. You see that one, there? And there?" It pointed to a Print who was wearing a leg brace, and another with the remains of a sling handing off his arm. "Whatever change happened to you, whatever it is you are doing to others, is also healing them. That one had a sprained knee, and that one had a broken forearm, but both are healed; they were healed when they became copies of you, because the template -- because you -- are uninjured. You possess a great power to heal, Harold Print, and you can be known for this. All that needs to be done is figure out if the healing is undone if they are un-Print-ed, and if a way can be found to share your healing gift without metamorpho- without turning them into Prints."
  14. "Nick!," the revenant cried out, already bounding away from his own attacker; the wound the 'possessed' thug had inflicted was already closed up. He whirled his shovel around, raising it at the figure who'd hurt his fellow Midnighter; as his swing reached its apex, his lips curled back and jaw distended, and a terrible howl blasted the 'possessed' thug, just before the shovel's head came down. The mournful dirge made worse by the fetid stink of rotted meat and old blood on the revenant's breath (an enhancement his team knew was not due to a change in diet, but just something he called up from a netherworld). Like a hound after a speeding mail truck, a snarling Mutt was on the fleeing thug Ghost Girl had spooked. He leaped into the air to sink his fangs into the enhanced thug's leg, intending to knock him down in the process. The Legba-hound's aim was true, and he got a big maw full of leg, but the thug was fast, and mist prove able to wrench free.
  15. Dead Head goes after the Moon, Mutt goes after the Chariot. Dead Head Reaction: Regenerate to remove Injury. Move Action: Startle/Feint Intimidate check (1d20+17=21) Standard Action: Kabong w/ Shovel Attack w/ Shovel; All-Out Attack (-2 Def/+2 Attk), Power Attack (-2 Attk/+2 Dmg); DC 26 Toughness save if it hits (28 if flat-footed) (1d20+13=19) ugh, HP to reroll Attack w/ Shovel; All-Out Attack (-2 Def/+2 Attk), Power Attack (-2 Attk/+2 Dmg); DC 26 Toughness save if it hits (28 if flat-footed); HP re-roll (1d20+13=17) but that actually turns out to be a 27, which hits. Mutt Standard Action: Charging (+2 Attack/-2 Defense) the Chariot (Defense 22) (1d20+8=28) Shame Minions can't crit against non-minions. But that is a hit, and a DC 19 Toughness save. If it dazes the Chariot again, I should have enough Damage to overcome his knockback to knock him prone. IC post coming as soon as I can get this comp to cooperate. Dead Head's down to 1 HP now, and is undamaged. Please don't forget his Interpose feat. (I know it can't be used on Perception-range effects, like Mental Blast.)
  16. "I'm slightly more concerned about what seeds your girlfriend might be sowing in his mind," he whispered back to Edge, throwing a quick glance back at the dragon and princes behind him, "but only slightly more. ," he said a bit louder, "" He continued to forge ahead, scanning all the way, trying to suss out who may have built this, how long ago it had been since anyone regularly used it, and what the dragon's deal was. The Science Squad? They'd have the resources and intent, but biological engineering of a dragon seems outside their wheelhouse. They could 'buy' a dragon, exchange favors to some other party... or it could be something they found, somewhere, somehow, and brainwashed into coming after me. Except, no, mental molding like that isn't in their bag, either. Doc Otaku? Dr. Sin? They could, and would, but Otaku'd make an android, and that thing reads as living -- so maybe he's gotten really good at biometric projection? -- and in either case they'd likely prefer an Eastern-style dragon, and Fafnir there's decidedly European. Unless they're trying to throw me off...
  17. "Well... no one's told me I'm not allowed to," he replied, voice fading a bit, "and since you would be there with me, I don't expect there'd be any objections to it." "And, yes," his voice resurged, "I'd love to meet Gaian Knight and talk with him about the reclamation work. Honestly, I'm just thrilled to be able to help out on another world... especially since I was not able to help during the Gorgon... ah..." His voice trailed off again as he replayed all the reasons why he wasn't able to help with the Gorgon, but he forced himself out of the replay and surged back to a more positive and constructive mood, "but it will be a very nice change to visit an alternate Earth and not be attacked!"
  18. The advice I gave was mistaken, given while I was in the middle of several things at work and without checking the rulebooks or anything Steve Kenson (the game's creator) may have said (and he does have something to say on the matter). Sorry for misleading.
  19. "And if it does not?," it asked flatly. "Metahuman abilities have proven to be extremely difficult to replicate or predict." "And what about everyone else?," it continued. "Do they share your immortality, your toughness? I have managed to knock out several of your copies, so it would appear they do not. And if that is that case, then what will you do in a few short decades, when all the other Prints are gone, and you are the only sapie- only intelligent life form on this world?" "And even if some of them are as immortal and tough as you, what will you all do with this world? Any conversations you could have would be one-sided, if they are all copies or extensions of your mind."
  20. The mighty golden robot kept its restraint-launching arm-cannon aimed at Blueprint, and its glowing eyes remained trained on him, but ti did answer back, in its typical electronic monotone. "You underestimate my capacity for creativity and empathy," it began, "but I can appreciate your desire to reduce wars and conflict for other organics. You wish to make the world safe for your son, yes? However, what you are attempting will stop more than that. It will stop all creativity, all innovation; if everyone thinks like you, no one is left to think like a medical doctor -- what will you do if your son gets sick, or injured? You also doom Print-World to eventual death: if everyone is a Print, then everyone is male. How will you reproduce and continue the species?"
  21. "Who?," he asked, brow furrowing for a split second as he searched his mind for the name. "Ah, yes, the geokinetic. I've not had the pleasure of meeting him -- at least, I don't recall that I have -- I only know him by reputation, his fight against Talos on the bridge, and that business with the giant vampire squid. I would like to meet him sometime, see how his-" He cut himself off; while it was hard to bottle up his scientific curiosity, especially in regards to metahuman powers, he knew such questions tended to make others uncomfortable, especially in light of recent events. "Ah, that is, I believe he could be helpful in setting up some water filtration centers. A very basic filter can be made with alternating layers of charcoal and sand; depending on what the pollutants are, we could add supplements, such as silver to kill off any bacteria. Do you know if he can control sand or metals?" So much for not asking questions about other hero's powers.
  22. "Wonderful!," he exclaimed, now beaming. "We'd need a source of running water for the water wheel, of course, a stream or such. Or, if need be, even people pushing and turning it, though of course that would be less than ideal." As he spoke the holographic emitters embedded in the table activated, and images of water wheels sprang up on it, first as wire frame meshes before resolving into fully rendered models. Some were shown grinding grains into flour, others crushed wood into pulp for paper and rocks into smaller rocks for construction materials, and others were connected to turbines and generators to make electricity. He chuckled when he saw her reaction to the scene, "I do find visual aids most helpful in planning things out. As for the smithy, I actually have an anvil at my home in Hanover, and would be happy to donate it, if need be. And I can make a forge, easy enough, it's not much more difficult than making a fireplace. A gas forge would be easier to use, especially for beginners, but would be slightly trickier to set up."
  23. Fatigued, Injured, 1 HP Initiative roll (1d20+5=7)
  24. Protectron hovered, scanning quickly over the Prints. The mighty golden robot tilted towards the apparent orchestrator. "Harold Print," it announced in it flat electronic voice, holding up one hand, palm out, "please cease these criminal activities."
  25. "Oh, I can only imagine!," he exclaimed, then self-consciously cleared his throat. "Looking back, I am still sometimes surprised at all I had to do to start and maintain ArcheTech, even with all the staff I had. I wonder if Miss Americana realized..." He shook his head, forcing himself to stop from trailing off, "I would expect running an entire planet -- ah, running its reclamation efforts, that is -- would be vastly more intense." His hands fidgeted slightly, picking at some dirt under his fingernails. "I do not know what all needs doing -- I know what you shave shared with the League, and no more -- but from what I have heard there is much still to be done. I could make some air or water purifiers, or condensed food bars for the survivors. Or, ah, study the technology that is still there, work on that, see about getting it up and running again. Maybe work on setting up some basic technologies -- water wheels, a grain mill, a smithy -- so they can make more and better items for themselves. I can do that, you know," he managed a weak smile, "the basic stuff. I don't just keep up with the cutting edge things, I practice some of the older stuff, too. Never know when you might get whisked off to some other dimension where they've yet to invent the vacuum tube."
