Indeed, unless otherwise stated he's got his Enhanced CHA up (for the "Dr. Fabio" effect ) I don't see a Rep Chart for Glow! Though Dok probably wouldn't recognize her, since she's in her civvies. ... wow, I really need to update Dok's Reputation Chart. And the first/Index post for the Rep Char thread!

Does that take into account his Extended vision? Notice checks (1d20+7=22, 1d20+7=12) looks like both failed

The strange golden robot regarded the three youths with unwavering green optics, "thank you for your information, citizens. For you own safety," it turned and began marching towards the building, "please evacuate the immediate area so the law enforcement officers will have adequate room to work." "Harry Print," it announced in its electronic monotone, "aka 'Handsome' Harry Print, please come out with your hands up. You are wanted for questioning in regards to injuries sustained by your wife, Kelly."

"Of course, Herr Davidson, I understand completely." Archeville knew Hanson Enterprises well enough. While working in his native Germany, before moving back to Freedom, Hanson was one of numerous companies for whom he'd done some freelance consultation work. He had not worked on the SX1 directly, but he would not be surprised if some of the suggestions he'd made for the Hanson projects he did work on ad made their way into this new craft. He was surprised to see Davidson using this 'beta test' flight in such a public manner. He must be very confident of its ability. And it is solid enough, no flaws are immediately apparent, though an object in motion acts quite differently form an object at rest. So asking me along is not just for publicity's sake, for hopes of an endorsement, but also as insurance in case anything goes wrong. Clever. I wonder if there will be any other heroes, perhaps 'undercover,' on board? Davidson had of course let word out that Archeville would be on the SX1's maiden flight, so of course there were numerous reporters and paparazzi for him to get through. "Yes, yes, delighted to be seen again... oh, quite busy, yes, I was even, ah, off-world for a bit... ah, yes, I am still working with the Freedom League... heh heh, no, no ring for Fulcrum yet... well, I- ah, there is my flight! Must be going!" Archeville was lead to his seat by Yvonne, a 5'4" redhead (whose brown roots were starting to show) with a dancer's body, who spoke to the Doktor in German (though with a noticeable French accent); were it not for his 'new' monogamous mindset, his attention would be wandering from monitoring the plane's performance. He was just about to sit down in his VIP section seat, when Marco escorted Kristin in.

Hrm, bad news and good news. Bad News, I think you'll need to edit the intro post: I don't think Duncan Summers (who I've said, owing to his status with the Freedom League and general Batman-ness, does know what really went down during the ArchEvil debacle) would allow him access to any of their students for any porlonged period of time on a confined area. And even if Summers didn't know, the only Claremont students Dok really knows are Push, Psyche, and Wander. The first two are retired, and the last one wouldn't trust Dok further than she could throw him the length of her bat. Good News, I've thought of several ways Glow & Dok could be one the same plane: the plane's flight takes it to Australia, and by coincidence, the same day Glow (perhaps in civilian ID) is going home to Australia to visit family. 1] A computer error causes Glow to get put on the wrong plane. 1.a] Is is a true computer glitch, or did someone/something cause it? If so, who and why? 1.b] Maybe it wasn't a computer error, but an illusionist/telepath made the airline staff see an error, causing them to redirect Glow. Who/why? 1.b.i] It was Scarab: she had a precognitive vision of the plane in distress (I'm assuming that's what's going to happen), saw Dok was on it, arranged for Glow to be on it to help him (to help inspire him/egg him on, or as a backup in case his self-confidence issues get in the way). (I would of course want Shaen's okay on this!) 2] Glow coincidentally resembles the daughter/niece/cousin of someone important on the plane, and a well-meaning stewardess or bodyguard redirects her onto the plane. 2.a] Is the real daughter/niece/cousin on there already, or was she delayed and unable to get on the flight? 3] Glow misses her flight, but sees this other plane is headed to Australia, so she sneaks on board right before take-off.

After much debate and debacle, we have decided to implement a change to our House Rules. Effective with the February 2012 posts, all posts made as a GM count as a full IC post, not as a half-post. (Minion/Sidekick posts still only count as 1/2 an IC post.) We hope this will give more players an incentive to GM and tell some good stories!

In order to make sure the Refs accurately count all your IC posts and award you the due amount of power points, please post with a list of all the threads in which your character posted IC this month (including the News forum). Remember that we require that posts be a minimum of about 500 characters. You can see here what a 400, 500, and 600 character post looks like. Posts shorter than 500 characters will not be counted. Please also mark things from the Non-Canonical forum as being non-canonical, as those count 1/2 (2 posts made for your char in a non-canon thread count as 1 post for the char). And if you are GMing something, list those threads, too. GM-only posts count as full posts, and can be assigned to whichever of your characters needs a 'push' to get up in post numbers. When you make your list, please post a link to the IC threads -- preferably to the top of the page where your first post for that month appears -- so we (and the auto-count program) can jump right to it. When you post the link to your thread, the URL should look like this http://www.freedomplaybypost.com/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=4478&p=100643#p100643 or this http://www.freedomplaybypost.com/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=4478&start=10 or this http://www.freedomplaybypost.com/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=4478 NOT this http://www.freedomplaybypost.com/viewtopic.php?p=100643#p100643 The four digit number in the URL (bolded & underlined in the correct example) is the thread id number which we need to use the autocountamotron. When you start a thread, make sure [iC] is in the title/subject line of the IC thread, and [OOC] is in the title of the OOC thread. If you make a post in an IC thread as a GM or an NPC, add [GM] in the subject line of the thread. If you make a post and [iC] is not in the subject line, the AutoCounter will not count it. And if you do not put [GM] in the places you post as an NPC or Ref, it won't count those properly. Please list your threads in alphabetical order. Please clearly note any threads in which you are both player and GM/running an NPC. Also, when you start a new thread, please mark it on the Timeline (if you have a handle here, you have an account for the Wiki, and anyone with an account can edit it). You do not have to be specific on the date, but I would like to keep track of when things are happening relative to each other. The Timeline also serves as an index for everything we've done in the nearly three years this site's been active, and it's useful to know if X happens before or after Y. If you've done any extracurriculars -- artwork, HellQ, 20 Questions, NPC, Vignette, Wiki work, etc. -- please be sure to list them along with your active threads. Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in your post counts being postponed or skipped completely.

The mighty golden robot landed next to he car, and turned first to address the onlookers. "Please back away, citizens," it said in its flat, efficient monotone, "there may be a dangerous and unstable man with metahuman abilities within this dwelling."

March 7th, 2012 (Wednesday) Yesterday was a very good day. Mona & I went to the "Super Tuesday Superhero Appreciation Day Film Festival" at the Pharaoh movie house in Hanover. (I had wanted to go in cognito, so we would not be mobbed, but Mona did not, seeing her size as an impediment to any useful disguise.) The Pharaoh was showing an assortment of superhero movies, both old and new, which was a perfect opportunity for us to catch up on some of the movies that we had missed due to recent events. Two of them stuck out in my mind: Horus the Avenger, and Star Knight. Horus the Avenger was quite good: excellent directing by Kenneth Branagh, solid writing, good pacing, good acting. Chris Hemsworth's wrestling/theatrical experience gave him the proper "more-than-mortal" vibe for Horus, and Natalie Portman got to show off her intellectual side as his love interest, an astrophysicist working on a wormhole-generating transporter (mirrored by the Heliopolitans own "doorway to the heavens"), but I was most impressed by Scott McNeil's performance as Set the Destroyer. You could not see much of him under the makeup and prosthetics, but his years of voice acting work meant you did not need to see his actual face, he could emote fully with just his words and snarls and hisses. I thought trying to make Set a more multifaceted villain -- touching, for example, on his past as a deity of foreigners, who was demonized by the Ancient Egyptians when foreign conquerors came to dominate their lands, and thus shunned by his father in favor of his brother Osiris -- was an interesting take, though I am unsure how accurate that is. I was, of course, most in favor of the film's explicit statement that the 'Egyptian gods' were merely humanoid aliens, though they were unclear on if they were from another dimension or another star system; the visuals used for the "Heka Highway" could have been either. Star Knight, by contrast, was shamefully abysmal. Why they didn't cast Michelle Rodriguez or Rosario Dawson for the role of "Renee Hill" (their name for the character, since her real ID is a secret), and instead went with Rosie Perez, is a problem I still cannot figure out. (Perhaps Perez has contacts in the industry? There is an artist by the name -- related?) The writing was all over the place, it tried tackling too many events at once, and the effects were sub-standard at best. And Black Star as an American physicist who became a sentient black hole?! That is two unrelated villains mashed together! It would have been cheaper if they had invested in a camera that could be unobtrusively attached to Star Knight's armor and film her as she flew around, make the film like a "found footage" "documentary"! Of course, I have a few ideas for my own versions of Horus' Ankh, and Star Knight's armor; I have had plans for that for a while, but seeing what could have been improved on the SK movie has made my thoughts on improving the SK armor bubble to the surface.

Dead Head nearly fell prone as he'd dove in to shield Kid Cthulhu from Changeling's sword, but managed to catch himself. He stumbled a bit as he regained his balance, then saw the other two heroes arriving on the scene. Whoa, Crow and... uh... Ring-Kid... what's his name... runs 'round with Wander an' them... Cody... Colby... Cobalt! The revenant looked over the gathering of teens, giving an extra-long "we're gonna talk later" look at Blake, and shook his head. "Y'all behave yerselves," he said as he walked off back to the rear of the hotel, "an' keep it down -- y'all're liable to wake the dead!"

"Oh, no need to apologize at all, madame," the Doktor smiled and shook his head slightly. "It is natural for a parent to be protective of their children, even if that child is fully grown," he chuckled, "and then some!" He smirked back a Fatima, then turned back to Afareen, "ah, yes, yes, I can assure you Mona is in the very best of health," he practically gushed, "no signs of the cancer, or of any extreme power fluctuations; barring any unusual stresses on her, her powers should remain stable and serve her well."

I've no problem with Dead Head shambling off once he sees things are taken care of (and I'll make one last post to that effect), and then doing a later thread. Would you be okay with that?

I've no problem with DH shambling off once he sees things are well in-hand, sure, and would be up for later threads.

The head continued to hover above the reception desk. "'More' of him? 'More' real? Please explain. Did he manifest an ability to duplicate himself? To grow to an increased height? To increase his density?" "Madame, I would like to assist you, but it seems I can only do so by interacting with your husband directly. Please give me his location. An agent from social services should be here shortly to see to you and your child, and The Lab has staff capable of treating your wounds."

Parkhurst had been seeing a lot of activity over the past year, with numerous superheroes (both experienced and new) coming and going at all hours. Some met up regularly to discuss weighty matters, while others were barely aware of each other, only catching glimpses (if even that) in hallways. Dead Head tended to fall in the middle of that spectrum -- he was often available for a chat, but rarely stayed long, always running off to assist some poor soul or other. Most every visitor or inhabitant at least knew of him, if from nothing else than the chatter among Parkhurst's ghostly tenants. When Blake Salazar had arrived, Dead Head was out back, helping with some of the yardwork Joe Delmundio (the construction worker who'd been murdered while Parkhurst was being built) had left undone. Joe, yer a great worker, but a lousy landscaper. He'd just finished turning over some compost with his shovel; he wiped his hands on his overalls and adjusted his broad-rimmed straw hat when he heard the fight break out at the front door. He sprinted to the front door, shovel at the ready, just in time to see the green eldritch flames wash over Salazar's form and transmogrify him into Kid Cthulhu. ... Blake? I thought he got rid of- "Whoa, whoa, whoa! Hold up! Put y'all's swords an' tentacles down!" the revenant called out, diving to interpose himself between KC and Changeling's blade.
