If my understanding is correct, Malice would likely find himself being hounded by Aegis or STAR, but I believe the former would want this case for themselves as they are a federal level, and Malice would probably be labeled a threat to national security, if for no other reason than irony's sake. Assuming they don't chuck him in their own facility, he might wind up in Blackstone, likely in one of the levels closest to the surface. While they could pretty much just throw him in any old jail cell and call it a day, they probably don't want to take the chance of him getting out anytime soon. Also, I would very much like to converse with DS, Doc and whoever Doc has cooked up for me in jail.

"Good morning class. I'm Professor Malice. But you probably know me as the recently convicted psychotic villain responsible for turning Riverside into a parking lot and who has sworn a personal blood oath of revenge against most everybody in the room. Let's try and have some fun this year, shall we?"

Move Action: Pick up a medium shield (+2 Dodge Bonus, +2 bonus on block rolls) Standard Action: Total Defense +4 Dodge Bonus Malice's Defense is now +14 (+4 flat footed).

There being many more competant fighters here than himself, Malice wisely chooses to sit this one out. He grabs a shield off the ground, and defends himself with it. A one-armed man with little physical strength and even less proficiency with archaic weapons would do well to avoid fighting as much as possible under these circumstances. Other than making sure the remainder of his limbs stay attatched, Malice does little else.

Ya might want to change some of the particulars of that power stunt. The tanks, buildings and choppers are unmanned objects, they don't have Fortitude saves. Anyone inside of the buildings also has total concealment relative to you and are therefore not affected. Also, I'm guessing that from your description, the Sense Dependent part of this is Auditory in nature. Might I remind you that there are very loud alarms blaring throughout the compound, orders are screamed into radios, very loud war machines are being mobilized and many of your targets are several hundred feet away. Anyone who can't hear you over that din is not effected by the attack.

That would require a really, really, really big explosion. Do it.

I'm good here.

Not a clue. I was wondering the same thing myself. I checked to see if Avalon had been on recently, but they were on yesterday. Just keep and eye out if you see them.

After a bit of Ref-caving it was decided that Regen is bad, Healing however still works. So to fill in those last 2 points could I get: Healing 11 Extras: Total Flaws: Personal as a DAP of Super-Strength for Atlas? DONE BY SHÆNTHEBRAIN

The rather odd gathering of heroes follows the gang for about 5 minutes before the gang raps on the window to an auto garage door. They are let in momentarily by a rather large looking gentleman, who appears to be a mechanic based on the way he's dressed and the amount of grease and oil on his person. When the door is opened, you catch snatches of various conversations going on, along with lots of metalworking going on in the background. The problem with this being that you know for sure that no self respecting auto garage is open this late, not when they can charge the customers for an extra day when they keep it over night. The irony of telling when someone is a crook because they're too honest is not lost on the group.

Me. I'm just busy during the middle of the week and I accidently skipped over this one yesterday. Should have an IC up soon.

Yep, still 1 unspent pp, I'm banking it for now. Also, his grapple scores were correct. We've been ruling that Attack Focus Melee adds to your grapple checks. Human Form = +3 Attack + 3 Attack Focus Melee + 9 Strength modifier = + 15 Alt Form = +3 Attack + 3 Attack Focus Melee + 15 Strength modifier + 11 Super-Strength + 4 Size modifier = +36 I see your point with the regen, I'll take it up with the others. Fast Flaw was in fact a house-rule'd flaw. I made the name up, I was unaware there was anything with the same name. Effectively, I lose 1 rank per round rather than 1 point per round, making it a -2 flaw. This is because Atlas was originally built with the Battle Form power from Mecha and Manga, after Doc shot a few holes in that in the Ref cave, I remade the power and cut a bunch of stuff, creating what you see now. Basically Atlas can only hold the form for so long before he has to rest for an hour. I'm going to transition him into a more standard Alternate Form before "buying it off" completely as the transformation becomes more and more permanent. Thanks for the edits!

Alright. So after blowing up a great number of things, Malice has been captured, and is now awaiting Trial... or is he? Basically, just collect any thread ideas for what activities Malice should be up to immediately following the events of the Trial thread and Massive Explosion. I know it's not over with yet, but I just to get the ideas flowing sooner rather than later. If we had a Trial for Malice, it would be an actual trial. Most every villain that would interfere is currently unavailable. Knievel is underground, Ronin would probably just say "screw that" and Vestige is his own STAR for the time being. Malice has enough understanding of the legal system and enough arrogance to believe that he could get out of most of the charges or at least reduce his sentence. Plus, the chance to have his testimony/ mad ramblings be reported on throughout the nation would be too good of an opprotunity to miss. Going into this thread, it is a certainty that Malice will serve jail time. However, he likely won't serve the maximum sentence, the defense he would put up is too good. *Points at Benefits, Connected, Contacts, Master Plan, Bluff, Diplomacy, Sense Motive, Knowledge: Civics, and last but not least, 13 unspent power points* Then there are a number of threads where other heroes would like to have some "choice words" with Malice. I know Doc has been thinking about taking over Malice's company and repurposing it now that Eric is out of the way - I mean, to undue the horrible nastiness that evil, evil man has done with the company. :? Giving on how Massive Explosion started/ended Dark Star, Scarab and possibly Arrowhawk might want to talk to Malice, if for no other reason than to say "nyeh, nyeh". I also think having a thread where Malice talks to a shrink to due a psychiatric evaluation and then to work past his issues would be pretty neat. There could also be a few general jail-time RP threads. Mostly just interacting with the other prisoners and the guards, getting adjusted to jail life and all that mess. For all these threads, I don't think Malice will have any chance to even attempt an escape attempt. So we could pretty much do them at the same time, because at the end of the day, he's still going to wind up in the same cell. But inevitably, there has to be a thread about Malice getting out of the joint. This could either be a true breakout attempt or a Task Force X/ Suicide Squad sort of deal. So if you have any thoughts, questions, comments or ideas on what Malice should be up to immediately after being carted off, please share them. Thanks.

Atlas would be on this like stink on a monkey.

Samael ran after the creature tearing up the escalator. He tried to punt the creature up the escalator. However the gremlin was too fast and ducked out of the way of Samael's kick.

I forgot that bit. The attacks pass through you harmlessly.

"I believe so. If we get lucky we can do it on one. There's a rare flower that occasionally blooms on this next planet, and if has the properties we need. It's not our primary objective, but if we happen to stumble across it on this next planet, that's be fantastic. If we can't find it we'll need to go to another planet, where another plant is more common and has the necessary properties. We'll have to be careful on these next two planets. I believe that the Lor are watching over these next two planets. So if we don't want a galactic armada on our asses, we have to be a little tactful.

"Astro Labs is being attacked!" Rocket took off immediately without the slightest hesitation. He rose up high above the buildings of the city, lined himself up with Astro Labs and kicked the afterburners on full blast and creamed across the sky, hoping he would get there before it was too late.

Atlas is momentarily staggered by the attacks, but he grits his teeth and shakes off the attacks. But now he has to worry about how to take down the goons. There's too many to fight one at a time, and any big attacks would cause more damage than they would prevent. He didn't have any real options, unless.... Atlas had never attempted this move before, but had seen it done on tv and in the comics and hoped he wouldn't look like a complete idiot. Atlas drew in a massive breath, swelling his barrell chest and exhaled a massive wave of artic wind, coating much of the bank in ice in an attempt to immobilze the goons. It is quite successful at the 4 goons who just shot at him and now incased in ice.

Atlas uses his Freeze Breath, which is a general area Cone Snare effect. He can target all 6 goons, but he can't get anyone else without effecting either the PC's or bystandards. They need a Reflex save for half effect, and then another to determine the Snare's effect, both DC 20. First round of saves: Goon Reflex save for Half Damage vs Freeze Breath (1d20+6=14, 1d20+6=10, 1d20+6=12, 1d20+6=10, 1d20+6=14, 1d20+6=7) Wow. They all failed horribly. Goon Reflex on Snare portion of Freeze Breath (1d20+6=11, 1d20+6=8, 1d20+6=16, 1d20+6=10, 1d20+6=22, 1d20+6=20) 2 passed. And for Ha's lets say that they're the 2 furthest away from Atlas, so the 2 that just shot at Boomer are still up, the other 4 are bound and helpless. They're toughs so the threshold for failing saves in smaller than normal. Back to the top of the initiative order.

GM Only Post Apparently there is quite a downside to having powers that require a super special awesome transformation sequence; it lets the bad guys shoot you in the face. The four goons that had take refuge from the strange tentacle thing were not keen on letting a giant red monster invade their safety zone and promptly opened fire. One of the goons even managed to get a shot into his open mouth, the other shot that connected hit him square in the stomach. That took the wind out of his sails pretty quickly. On the otherside of the tank, the two remaining goons took pot shots at the glowing person, hoping they could affect it. The last two goons who have yet to vacate the vehicle begin to manuever it back towards the bank vault. They most likely intend to rob the place while the heroes are distracted fighting their comrades. The ring leader for his part, simply vanishes into thin air. Before Gossamer or the other heroes have time to look where he went to, Gossamer is stuck in the small of her back, and a very curious sensation spreads throughout her body. It was like being pushed, but in reverse. Instead of energy being added, it was being taken away. "Try not to get all clingy, it still is only the first date. What would people say about us?" taunts Shatter Point in her ear. Gossamer looks as if time as stopped. Her hair hangs aloft in the air, eerily unmoving, not even her eyes are moving. She is completely frozen.

Weeee. That means its my turn. Let me first move the status page along: Gossamer - Unharmed - HP x2 Wesley - Fatigued, Deafened, Bruised x1 - HP x3 - Totally blasted through a wall Boomer - Unharmed - HP x2 Goons (8) - 2 Bruised, 6 Unharmed Shatter Point - Unharmed Atlas - Unharmed - HP x3 Alright. Here's what happened recently: Goss attacked and missed the leader very narrowly, Wesley got blown through a wall, Boomer and Atlas transformed. 2 goons will shoot at boomer, 4 will shoot at Atlas, and Shatter Point will attack Goss. The 2 goons in the tank-dozer will proceed to back the vehicle into the vault area, probably to actually commence the grab portion of this smash and grab. The goons are smart enough to figure out that giant red guy is probably very tough so they power attack 5. Goon Attack rolls vs Atlas DEF 15 - Power Attack 5, DC 29 toughness save if they hit (1d20+2=22, 1d20+2=9, 1d20+2=21, 1d20+2=4) Alright, DC 34 and 29 toughness save for Atlas, the 34 first. Toughness save vs Goon Attack 1 DC 34 (1d20+15=25) Bruised and Stunned. Toughness save vs Goon Attack 2 DC 29 (1d20+14=21) Bruised and Stunned again. The goons aren't so sure of light guy's abilities so they power attack for 2: Goon Attack Rolls vs Boomer - DC 26 toughness if they hit (1d20+5=16, 1d20+5=7) Now for Shatter Point to take out the last distraction Shatter Point attack roll vs Gossamer DEF 18; Paralyze DC 24 Fortitude save if it hits (1d20+10=28) I'm be spending a HP for Atlas so he can act regardless of the stun. But I want to get the NPC's IC post up first.
