I'm more of a fan of his music rather than his movies.

Gossamer - Unharmed - HP x2 Wesley - Fatigued, Deafened, Bruised x1 - HP x3 Boomer - Unharmed - HP x2 Goons (8) - 2 Bruised, 6 Unharmed Shatter Point - Unharmed Atlas - Unharmed - HP x3 Gossamer is up again, and Wesley still has 2 more saves to roll. Deafened: A deafened character cannot hear and suffers a –4 penalty to initiative checks. He cannot make Notice (listen) checks.

Samael heard the dozer coming and pushed his chair back and away from the wall, which had the added bonus of moving some of the other people out of the way. He stood frozen for a moment, unsure of what to do. Then the other heroes began popping out of the woodwork. If they weren't afraid to use their powers in their identities, then why was he? It didn't like these thugs would go down all that easy either, he had to help. He only had time to throw off his jacket and tie before the change came over him and tore his shirt to shreds. Muscle expanded, bones grew, and skin stretched to its breaking point. There was now a giant red behemoth of a man in the corner of the room, and he didn't look happy.

Malice was cackling far too madly and relishing the moment far too much to put up any real resistance to being dragged off by the soldiers. Cackling and the occasional tripping aside Malice went quiet as can be with the soldiers. He wasn't much for hand to hand combat and with these two guards he was now out numbered 4 to 1. A fact that he shared with the guards, but they didn't seem to find it as funny as he did; their loss. Jail was nothing. It had been a long time since he had felt this feeling. Malice had hope for the future.

Atlas is up next. I'm doing like 4 things at once though so could take me a moment.

The strange tentacles lash out at the attacking goons. Two of them immediately crumple under the assault, two of them shake off the attack but are obviously a little hurt, and the other escape harm due do the tentacles having to reach around the dozer they drove in. The 4 goons on the opposite side of the tank dozer believe it's in their best interest to keep this nice large piece of metal between them and the tentacle thing. The other two goons who are still standing don't have that luxury, and decide that they'd rather just kill that thing before it does that again. What the guns shoot is anyone's guess. All it looks like it does is shake the air, alot like the powers the skull guy displayed a moment ago. One shot goes wide, but the other hits home. Shatter Point seems to take the heroes popping out of the woodwork in stride. He first answers Gossamer "Oh don't get me wrong my dear. If it was just the money I was after, I would just hack into the mainframe here and dump its reserves into my Swiss account. But there are just so many advantages to doing this the old fashioned way; seeing you in that outfit for one. Now why don't we just--" Shatter Point is cut off as Wesley's tentacle-eyes go to work on his goons. The disgust on his face is quite apparent. "--I'll be with you in just a second." Shatter Point then turned his attention to Wesley "First off: EW! Secondly--" He shakes the air again and a wave of rolling thunder collides with Wesley.

(12:04:36) Geez3r: alright (12:04:43) Geez3r: now it's the big bad's turn (12:04:14) FreedomBot: Error: Connection status: 0 (12:05:47) Geez3r: i'll hit sand with the sonic boom (12:06:02) Geez3r: it has a +10 to hit, not using any trade-off feats at this time (12:05:34) FreedomBot: Error: Connection status: 0 (12:06:08) FreedomBot: Geez3r rolls 1d20 and gets 3. So roll a DC 29 Fortitude save vs a damage effect, and a DC 24 Reflex save against Dazzle auidtory effect
-
(11:42:38) Geez3r: Alright (11:42:50) Geez3r: going to roll the goon's Fortitude saves (11:43:03) Geez3r: they each have +9 to this particular save (11:43:11) Sandman_XI: (11:43:12) FreedomBot: Geez3r rolls 4d20 and gets 1,19,5,18. So thugs 1 and 3 are out like a light. 2 and 4 are bruised. Due to their cover, relative to Wesley's postion, Wesley's attacks miss the other goons. (11:53:11) Geez3r: alright (11:53:15) Geez3r: goons turn (11:53:50) Geez3r: the 4 opposite Wesley will not take any actions at this time (11:54:08) Geez3r: they would not like to give up their nice defenable position (11:54:23) Geez3r: and don't want to give the weird tentacle thing a chance to get them (11:54:47) Geez3r: the 2 other guards however will shoot Wesley in the face (11:55:07) Geez3r: They'll both power attack 3 (11:55:21) Geez3r: this nets them a +4 bonus to hit (11:55:28) FreedomBot: Geez3r rolls 2d20 and gets 1,9. (11:56:56) Geez3r: with his lowered defense (11:57:05) Geez3r: Wesley is hit by one of the attacks (11:57:13) Geez3r: wait (11:57:36) Geez3r: yep, hit wesley exactly because of fatigue (11:58:00) Geez3r: that's a DC 27 toughness save

Just continue in order please. Wesley is up next. Boomer already went, so the goons are on deck. And on further turns, please post in the decided initiative order.

We can has Non-Cannonical Giant Mecha Battle plox?
-
That being said, there's nothing stopping your from shamelessly ripping off good ideas from the book. You probably can't do it the exact way they did it, but with a few modifications you have a suit of power armor that just so happens to be mecha-ish. I recommend keeping it Gargantuan or smaller, bigger than that is a little silly by FC standards.

BOO-YA! Dark Star is officially off the list :rules: God, I love playing wildly deluded characters who make a dozen or so jumps in logic with every other sentence. :D

Malice had been staring off into space with his hollowed eyes when the voice came over the radios of the national guard in the area. The was the first to break the stunned silence that followed with a mad cackle. "Did you hear that? I'm innocent. I didn't do a god damn thing! So, all you heroes, all you guards, with all your strength, only managed to hold onto a crippled man who got blown half to hell, and you let the real terrorist get away!" Malice points up in the sky where Dark Star had disappeared from. "Everything done here today was done because of that glorious man! He dug the villain out of the rubble, got him to surrender without a fight, tended to all of the wounded, put out the fires and now, has gotten to the bottom of the case and clears the name of the man he hated probably as recently as an hour ago. Without him, without the heroes to hold your hand, you're all too powerless to do a damn thing. Everything I've ever said is right! He can see through the wool that has been pulled over his eyes, and in time he will find his rightful place at my side. At long last, the gears of war are turning, and the revolution is now at hand!"

Happy Birthday!

Okay, you all passed the Notice check, which has 2 effects. 1 - You are not surprised and can act in the first round and 2 - You can get any civilians around you out of the way of their immediate peril, using whatever methods you chose as a non-action, even if it's just shouting a warning. They're still in the bank, and still in the area, but they're not squished. Shatter Point Initiative (1d20+2=7) Goon Initiative (1d20+2=8) The Initiative Table: Gossamer - Unharmed - 20 - HP x2 Wesley - Fatigued - 17 - HP x4 Boomer - Unharmed - 10 - HP x2 Goons (10) -Unharmed - 8 Shatter Point - Unharmed - 7 Atlas - Unharmed - 5 - HP x3 Okay a few details here. Shatter Point is the antagonist here. He's got a few Villain Points of his own squirreled away, I'm not saying how many, but he can use those without GM Fiat. Once he goes through them however, I'll GM Fiat as normal, giving you HP for the setback. Then there are the goons, I'm stealing an idea from the ATT (Batgirl III, I believe) and making them "Toughs". They don't go down as easy as normal minions (usually), but they're much easier to take down than heroic characters. You may also take a 10 on your attack rolls against them. Also, they still roll against impossible toughness saves. Also, the first little bit is pure cutscene. Initiative is when they'll act again.

You hear it first. A dull rumbling roar that builds and builds in intensity. Just when it builds to the point where it's jarring your eardrums, the ground begins to shake violently and what can only be described as a rocket-propelled, armored bulldozer barrels through the back wall of the bank, fully 5 feet off the ground. It crashes back to the ground with a sickening crunch as its treads chew through the Italian marble of the bank. The dozer skids into a 180 degree turn, spraying the entire lobby with rubble and tearing huge gouges in the floor. The very instant the vehicle comes to a stop and the alarms start blaring, the vehicle's back doors slam open and 8 heavily armed individuals pour out of the vehicle, splitting into 2 equal groups taking up positions along opposite side of vehicle. Two of them remain seated in the front of the vehicle, protected by its armor. From their stance, their weaponry and the way they're dressed, you figure that they're either former S.A.S. or K.G.B. or S.E.A.L.S. Then all eyes are drawn to the top of the vehicle as a figure has suddenly appeared there out of no where. A solidly built man standing just shy of 6 feet tall and wearing a black T-shirt with a white skull plastered across the front, a pair of camo pants and combat boots, stands there with a great big grin on his face addresses the crowd. "Sorry if I scared you folks, it truly was not my intention; but parking in this town is simply murder. HAHAHA!!! We just have one quick transaction to do today. So, as long as nobody does anything *stupid* we'll be out of your hair in 5 minutes, if *Not* ..." he makes a wide dramatic swing with one of his arms and the wall behind the tellers blows apart, revealing what must be the bank's vault, which is rapidly going into lockdown mode. The villain swings his attention back to the crowd "If you were looking for your chance to run screaming from the building, now would be a good time to do so!"

"Be advised, he blob creatures may very well be using the sewers to navigate the city. I'll investigate further for confirmation." With that, Rocket goes mucking in the mud, heading against the flow of what he sorely wished was water. When this is all over, I'm going to have to burn this suit.

Notice Check (1d20+8=26)
-
Maybe there's something I'm missing. I've got a hunch that they're coming from the sewers. I should at the very least investigate that before I jet halfway across the city and leave the Promeneade undefended. Rocket darts about looking for a sewer grate or the like so he can clambor down in their for a better look, while praying that the suit hasn't yet been compromised; if for no other reason than the smell.

:? ...I knew that. And it is done.

If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. And this time the missile had its intended effect as Malice felt the blow like a kick to the chest. While Malice was recovering from the first shot, the second one slammed into him but thankfully he remained conscious.
-
For some strange reason the creature's attacks had about as much effect as they did the first time; meaning none. Things were going to hell in a hand basket real fast so Malice adopted the strategy of all offense and no defense and opened up on one of the missle wielding creatures.
-
The missle detonated on Malice's chest but he was no worse for wear. Malice decides to fight fire with fire and launches a barrage of missles most miss their mark however as the missles are quite a bit slower in water.

I have 2 VP actually. Didn't spend one last combat.
