    Atlas

People seemed to like the Tropes page for Malice, so he's Atlas' version. Team Fortress 2 He's a big, strong Russian guy who owns a deli and therefore has access to copious amounts of of sandwiches. Where ever did I get the idea? Mother Russia Makes You Strong Husky Russkie Mighty Glacier Soon to be averted. Dumb Muscle Not dumb per se, but most of the time he won't be leading intellectual debates. The Big Guy Unless I'm mistaken, the only active character with growth. Boisterous Bruiser "What's that sandwich? Kill them All!? Good idea!" Hulk Speak It's only an act he does in front of criminals. Gentle Giant Nine times out of 10, he's a real decent down to earth guy, the other times.. Beware The Nice Ones Played For Laughs One Man Army Person Of Mass Destruction He's the 3rd Strongest in FC Continuity. Omega is #1, Centurion is #2. Good Old Fisticuffs Determinator Super Strength Nigh Invulnerability When All You Have Is A Hammer The Juggernaut Made Of Iron Magic Pants Standard Issue.
  2. Ronin, you're up.

  4. Samael had taken the day of to do the largest transaction of his life. His little deli shop had been doing excellent business now that the streets were starting to clear up, and he had squirreled away quite a bit of money. Now he had thoughts of expanding. There were quite a few apartments above the deli-shop, which had been going unused for quite some time. Samael was here to discuss his loan options so that he could buy the building, renovate it and then lease the apartments. He had gotten on his best, and truth be told only, suit pressed the day before and had shown up early today looking his most presentable. He had been told to wait in the little seating area they had off to the side, and he had been sitting down in that plush chair for about 10 minutes now. Anyone who was any judge of character could tell he was pretty nervous. He kept playing with his hands, fixing his hair and checking the clock.
  5. August 28, 2009 This is pretty much a typical weekday morning. The bank isn't all that crowded, as most of the clientel are off at work somewhere. But those that have the day off, here during an early lunch break, or those that'll be running through red tape all day showed up early. The main area of the bank looks alot like the grand entrance to a fancy hotel. The ceilings are 30ft high, and matches the marble flooring. Finely crafted crown molding decorates every corner of the room. There's several plush chairs strew about in the waiting area. Green velvet ropes form the quene, which currently only has just a handful of people online. There are 2 tellers attending to everyone directly opposite the main doors. Several cubicles and offices areoff to the right for more private transactions, and the elevators and stairs are on the left, usually reserved for those who're seeing the higher ups of bank management. At first glance it would appear that the bank is lacking in security, but a second glace revealed quite a few discreet security measures. Hidden cameras, a few guards posted here and there, the occasional person who's been sitting in that chair a little too long, grates that look like they'll drop down from the door jams to stop criminals from getting away, that sort of thing.
  6. Atlas, Gossamer, Wesley and Boomer attempt to stop a robbery at Eastern Seaboard Bank. Everyone make a post about why you're in the neighborhood and then in the OOC here, roll me some Initiative and a Notice check please (auditory based notice if that matters for anyone).

Well that was quick. Does August 28th work as a date for everyone? I'm going to go ahead and get started on the IC and OOC threads. EDIT: OOC Thread IC Thread
  8. "Yes they are. See I sent an advanced scouting team to this remote planet that's millions and millions of miles away from our home planet, using my hither to unmentioned secondary mode of interstellar travel. I designed this scouting party to look like the creatures indigenous to this planet that I only discovered for the first time about 10 minutes ago. And then rather than have this scouting party return to earth with the sample, I thought it best if they just hung out at the prize and jump out of the walls when we got close."

  11. RRG gets on his radio to the Police. Something wasn't adding up. These blob creatures had to come from some where... "Alright. I think that was most of them. I can do a clean sweep of the area, but that'll take a few hours. Has anyone else heard of or seen another colony? I haven't found out where these creatures are coming from, only that they were congregating here for some reason. Are there any other danger zones I should be aware of? Please respond."

    Back to Basics

It's been quite a while since we've had a real simple hero thread on the boards. A new villain is trying to make a name for themselves, and decides to go with an oldie but a goodie; rob the bank. He grabs himself a bunch of goons for muscle and tries to grab everything that isn't nailed down in the vault before making his getaway. The Heroes are either on scene in their civilian identity (grabbing an extra Hero Point for the Complication) or are on patrol in the nearby area. All the heroes have to do is stop the dastardly scheme and then everyone can go home happy. The Big Bad and the goons he employs are pretty powerful so I would prefer to keep this to PL 10+ As you might have guessed, I'll be GM-ing. I also intend to play Atlas in this thread as well. I'm looking for 2-4 other heroes to join in on the fun, any other takers?
  13. Quote asked me to step in real quick. I would say the best way to do it is with an opposed check. His Notice vs your Sleight of Hand. Or maybe Sense Motive vs Bluff. Unless you're being obvious about breaking into the car, in which case he would see you. Either way it's him asking "what're they doing over there?" being opposed by "nothing out of the ordinary" Carry on then.
  14. Rocket surveyed the area and caught his breath. Croaching over a piece of metal, Rocket got on his radio again. "Okay I'm still alive. Killed about 40 blobs just now. However, I have some bad news. I'm finding lots of metal in the remains of the creatures. Necklaces, belt buckles, watches, that sort of thing. But, no way all this stuff came from 4 people. I think there have been more victims. Possibly many more victims. People who've just been devoured entirely. These creatures seem to devour any organic matter, plants, animals and people. I'm going to start heading deeper into their colony.... If you lose contact with me, assume the worst. Rocket out."
  15. Crit the last Blob. DC 35 toughness Going out with a bang! :D
  16. "And then there was one." Again RRG ditched defense in order to remove the last little blob from this world. "Finally that's all of them."
  17. Kinks worked out in chat. And though I loathe to say this: Approved.
  18. Benefit: Not Nakeds. Or, we could always just say you have enough mojo left over to cloth yourself with the glamor, just not able to change it unless you swap to that selection in the array. Really, I don't feel like it's a good idea to character a character power points so that they have pants. It's one of those things I would just gloss over.
  19. Flying around him real fast is just a descriptor for Acrobatic Bluff, didn't actually go anywhere.
  20. The giant psuedopod crashes against Rocket's side, but he rolls with the hit absorbing the impact. Rocket then continues his trajectory and begins rapidly flying around the creature in order to disorient it and lose track of his position. While he's whipping around the creature, he lets him taste hot plasma one more time.
  21. Okay, my understanding of the situation: Search normally works on a 5ft x 5ft area. ESP lets you search a progressively larger and larger area; ie: 1 step up the Extended Range Table, not the Extended Area Table. 20 Miles is 5 steps above 10 ft on the Extended range table. 5 steps above 1 minute on the time Table would be 1 day to Search the entire city. You may also increase the DC to perform the task quicker. From the book. I am following the rules as per the Core Rulebook as this is a Skill Challenge and therefore the Core Book has Priority.
  22. "No more running away. They'll keep coming, I need to stop them here and now." Rocket put all his effort into offense and blasted the closest blob with pretty much everything he had. Hoping that would be more effective on this blob than it was on the previous target.
  23. Bump me another 50 feet back.
  24. The color again drains from Rocket's face. "These things just won't quit!" Rocket unleashes another powerful blast of plasma while he rapidly backs away from the quickly approaching blob creatures.
  25. "Good, I slowed them down. Which means I've got you all to myself." RRG says to the giant blob, although it can't understand him. Rocket focuses the energy in both of his palms and then releases it in a powerful wave which washes over the giant blob monster. This time, RRG stands his ground, confident that this blast would end it.
