  1. "Nice to meet you Mr. Pilgrim." says RRG at the retreating medical examiner. People coming up to thank him never quite got old. It just let him know that for all the hardship, he was actually accomplishing something down here. "I was taking to the air to give your men room to work, but now that you point it out, it was rather pointless wasn't it? Thank you for the tip officer, and keep in touch. If I find out anything you'll be one of the first to know. And if you find out anything, please let me know. Stay safe." said RRG as he departed, flying just a bit above the ground this time, seeing if he could find any clues.

Bunker 3 - Everything is dead, Malice is moving towards next objective. Bunker 4 - Being attacked by Vestigue. All guards dead, building is gone, generator is damaged. 3. GM POSTS The guards crumple to the ground, most of them not even sure what just happened. Vestige cuts deeply into the generator removing most of its paneling and cutting several wires. However, the device remains functional, for the time being.
  4. Thanks for the once over Shaen! Now, let's talk shop. Right you are. This also ties in with managing resources. Malice's weapons array is expensive. Buying attack is cheaper than upgrading the array. So when I have a small trade-off, or none at all, I get the best of both worlds. My high attack is useful against fast, agile targets, while the Extras in my array augment the damage. Against slower targets, I can milk the auto-fire for all it's worth, and I don't need to All-out attack and open myself up to punishment He's pretty hosed no matter what he does if he's caught. He's PL 4 out of the armor, that means he can be taken down by pretty much any cop. But I have to admit, I've been thinking about bumping up his base abilities. Skills, pretty much none of them are up to where I would want them to be. But, your article on stills has helped me redefine where exactly I want them to be. Great Tips! Bluff and Intimidate are slated for improvement, and I should probably milk those a bit more. But I would be against the Aerobatics. The suit is very much designed like a tank. Maneuverability is nice and all, but not what it's designed for. Feats, again, great suggestions. This is to prevent being "locked down". I intend to buy this as a full Immunity in the near future. Due to his low Defense and low Reflex, Snares are going to work on him pretty much every time they're used. Now, as you said he could probably break out of them easily, but he has to wait until his turn comes up in order to do so, and in the meantime, his defense suffers. Furthermore, because of my relatively small offensive Trade-off, Malice doesn't have the high Strength necessary for an instant break out. Meaning, he is forced into his Super-Strength form, and he is forced to burn a standard action breaking out. Two heroes working in tandem could make quite the combo out of this. Also, if he fails the reflex save by 5 or more, he's helpless, coup de grace's hurt, and his Hard to Lose Device is in jeopardy. Also, his Grapple modifier is either in the gutter, or merely respectable. A grapple monster can lock him down pretty easily, and again forces him to change Array settings. I just want to avoid all of that. I've actually suggested that edit numerous times. Any time I've said "And the new battle suit will look like this..." I've done just that. Good eye. It's yet another thing on the list. I don't need the supe-sense. "You can receive Communication of the same medium as your own." So effectively, the Radio Super-Sense is already folded into Communication. Once again Shaen, thanks for the help.
  5. Alight let's have a look-see at this here Animate Objects. It's technically a summon power, so we have a PL 7 character, capable of summoning 25 PL 5 minions, little leery of that, but let's move on. Also, Animate Objects is already Sustained Duration, so it can only be purchased up to Continuous. But, as it's an NPC, let's just give it a whirl.
  6. "It's never simple is it? As soon as you think you're on the verge of being overrun by monsters, you can't find anymore around. The only clues are things that I barely understand. The police have it in hand for now I believe. Better check in with them before I head off. If I'm going to have to patrol the area all night, which I'll probably wind up doing, I'll need something to eat." RRG flies down to where ever the police have set up shop, and asks who ever's in charge "Is there anything else I can do other than keep an eye out?" feeling distinctly useless.
  7. Fair enough.
  8. Okay, I'm just going to toss this idea out into the void here. What if we expand the Shadow Academy? Like it's not just for kids anymore. Like, any villain could conceivably show up and be taught. The established villains are like "upper classmen" or something. There's some Shadow-y (*PUN*) Organization running the whole thing for purposes yet unknown. What is known however is that if you attend the Academy, your superiors have a favor they can call in at any time, along with other stipulations. Maybe they call them all in at once and we have one of those Big Adventure Threads. But in the mean time it's a safe haven for villains. Some of the people are students as well as teachers. Malice for instance might teach a weaponology class, but be a student in Hand to Hand training. Rest, recover, scheme, plan team ups, and most importantly of all, learn. Thoughts?
  9. Malice just laughed and laughed. Truth be told, he really did like the time he and Knievel spent together. He was just about the only true friend he had anymore. A little sad, but hey, you take what you get. You never really had truly intellectually stimulating conversations with him, but he's fun to be around. He's totally, mouth-breathingly, paste-eatingly, chasing the girls around the playground with a piece of poo-ingly stupid, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
  10. Might I recommend moving away from the 2 giant critters theme?
  11. The internet is his entire country is apparently acting really, really wonky.
  12. Lampshading, it's fun.
  13. Malice face palmed at Knievel. He called out over their comm link. "You know there's no breathable atmosphere here right? You've been breathing from your suit the entire time. And in case you haven't noticed the "water" isn't even touching your skin." Malice was right, Knievel was surrounded by a very thin membrance all around him, he would have probably missed that detail entirely if it wasn't pointed out to him. "What's that lassie? Wanna take a look at the crystals? Got get 'em girl." Malice laughed as he started making his way to the crystals.
  14. God I love this job. RRG takes a moment to ensure Marie is alright and heading the right way before taking off again. He flies in a large search pattern over that section of the city, as he kept his eyes peeled for any sign of the creatures. He also kept his radio on in case the police tried to contact him.
  15. Eric was pacing back and forth, obviously wound up by Scarab's accusation. He's muttering constantly under his breath, occasionally punctuating a sentence with a rather strong and loud obscenity. Then Ace interrupts his mutterings. Eric just looks at Ace for a few moments, like he's not really sure he's there. Then Eric bursts out laughing again. It sounds sad, defeated and a little hysterical. "Great. Just great. I get taken in by the rich kid. Not the ancient mentalist, not the energy being, no; I get the rich kid. Fine, let's go. The last thing I want to add to today's events is a whooping by the police. Eric starts walking to the ambulance, ranting. But the ranting dies down as the situation finally starts settling on him, and more of the laughing starts. Guess the other heroes couldn't be bothered. No not with me. I'm not a proper threat to them anymore. No, why would anyone be afraid of the guy who just lost everything. Hehe-- heh. Course not. 'He's got no more will to fight' they'll say. Hehehaha. The joke'll be on them. HeeeheHahah*sob*Hehoha. He can't rebuild after this. HehehaHA. I really can't ya know? I got no arm see? Heh. Those don't grow back. *Sob* No matter how hard you want it to. I'll be like this forever. I'll never be normal again. Not ever." Eric collapses and falls to his knees, the weight of everything just crashes over him. *sob* *sob* *deep calming breath* He screams at the heavens: YOU TOOK MY ARM YOU BASTARDS!!!
  16. " 'Sup." said a voice from inside the cavern. The Captain turned and then there was a bunch of lights forming an outline he knew all to well, Malice had beaten him there. "Don't look so surprised. I can see in the dark, I don't have to stop for air, and my rocket boosters can shoot me through the water just fine after a slight modification. Good effort though. What gets me however is how the water can stay water on a giant frozen block of ice, the temperature has never been even close to warm enough to be called "freezing'. It's quite fascinating really."
  17. "Heh. Sure thing. Hold on tight now." RRG lifted off gently this time and then descended back to the ground, and deposited her back on solid ground. "Once this all blows over, the police might want to hear your testimony of the events, but right now they have more pressing matters. So make sure to stop by in a day or two. Arlight? Here you go... Ma'am. I never did get your name..."
  18. They're only a few minutes into their search before Malice calls out "Found something!" When Knievel ventures to the area, Malice points at the pool of water. "There's another tunnel that leads further into the caverns here. I think we should check it out."
  19. Search Check (1d20+8=28) LOL. My eyes are good in this thread.
  20. "It damn well should have been, I'm pooped. Seriously I could have demolished a 15 story building in the same time I was clobbering that thing. Alright, let's grab a crystal and get out of here before more of those things show up. You check over on that side over there, and I'll take this area. Remember, we're looking for one with a golden vein running through it."
  21. Right, forgot about his massive skills in that department. Well he's the only truly wealthy guy around, and he occasionally goes to those high brow flings. So Danger probably would know who he is. And if not, the police would figure it out within the hour anyways.
  22. "Jeez, making me do all the work again! How's the guy with one arm carrying this team?" Malice put on a burst of speed and caught the creature with a nasty uppercut. Even through his mask, you could tell he was smiling. Apparently beating the crap out of giant rock creatures passed for therapeutic.
  23. Malice took the hit on the chin. It hurt, but didn't nearly come close to taking him out of the fight. "Hey! I'm an evil genius! I get mad at whoever the hell I want! It's what I do!" Malice turns to the giant creature that just swung at him. "Ya got that rocks for brains!" Malice stopped yelling at everything long enough for him to barrage the creature again. "--just like the Germans!" Apparently, he had not stopped yelling, but the gun fire had drowned out his shouting.
  24. It's been so long since I've been in a cannonical thread I forgot about that. Anyone have a particular preference for a date?
