Okay preemptive disappearance notice. Probably not going to be too active these next two weekends because it's back to school time.

RRg hung there in mid air for a moment. "Guess those upgrades were a little better than I imagined. Alright, I need the cops down here before I make a complete mess of things. RRG gets on his radio to contact the Sargent. "Yes hello, Sargent. I've got an update for you. In the area where the attacks have been occuring I discovered several slimy patches in the trees. I then heard a scream and found a female jogger who has just discovered the bloody head of what I assume in the 4th victim. Not far from the scene, I saw an amorphous creature composed of the same slime substance, and with red splotches inside of it, which I believed to be blood. I was forced to engage the creature, and it has been subdued, though I believe I may some destroyed some evidence in the altercation. Whatever these creatures are, they don't attack just at night, and if my earlier encounter is correct, they are mindless. We might need to quarantine the area until we know more about what we're dealing with, but this is your area of expertise. I'll stay in the area and keep a look out for more of the creatures."
-
Uhhhh. Whoopsie?
-
"Alright, don't say I didn't warn you." RRG raises his palm as energy concentrated there. RRG blasted the creature at point blank range.
-
RRG was quite unsure how to progress. But he tried the diplomatic solution first, even though he was feeling it was pointless. "Can you hear me? I have reason to believe you are connected with the recent string of murders. Surrender yourself immediately or I will be forced to take more drastic actions."
-
What Doc said.
-
Yeah rank 15 Corrosion will eat right through the building.
-
RRG gently rubbed her back, try to calm her down. "It's okay. It'll be alright. Just give me a moment while-" and then RRG spotted the entity. He wrapped his other arm around the woman and tightened his grip with the other. "Hold on." he said firmly before lifting off and rocketing to the nearest building. He placed the obviously startled woman on the roof. "It's alright. Something's down there. Stay up here were it's safe. I'll be back before you know it, I promise." He took off again, going faster now that he didn't have the woman in his arms. He went back to where he had previously seen the creature, hoping it hadn't gone too far.

Sure I'll give it a shot. EDIT: Kavos and Sand have expressed interest in this in chat. General plot synopsis: There appears to be a mini-robot war being waged in Freedom City. The battles started small but are steadily increasing in scale in a veritable arms race. It's up to the heroes to discover who's behind this and put a stop to the battles before more harm is done.

How many actions would it be to grab the girl, fly to a near rooftop, drop her off, tell her to stay put and rocket back?
-
Welcome back. I'll get right to it then. Stats, good. Combat, good. Saves, good. Skills, good. Feats, good. Powers, good. But, I'm getting 151 PP. Stats 9 + Combat 32 = 41 Saves 15 + Skills 12 = 27 Feats 20 + Powers 61 = 81 And now I'm getting 149... huh. We'll go with 149. So find a point to throw somewhere and we'll be good.

What bluff? Lest we forget, Malice was attacked when he was sitting at home. He didn't make it go boom, and for all he knows, you or somebody else did in fact set him up. He did lose everything, and he gained nothing. And he mentioned he was attacked. He's accusatory, but I don't see where he's lied even by omission.
-
You gain a quick peek into Malice's mind before it is clouded by rage. "You dare to accuse me of this!? Let me spell it out for you. I just lost everything I ever had - EVERYTHING! My house, my research, my friends, my good name, my mother and even my @#$&%$#@ arm! And to what purpose!? What did I gain out of this, besides the ire of every living thing in this city? And you would think I caused this somehow? Let me as you this, how were so many of you on scene so quickly? I haven't done a damn thing! But you - you must have planned this! You attack me, kill innocent people and then swoop in to look like the hero you wish you were!" Malice is crazy, but you don't think he did it.

Notice check to detect mind reading DC 20 (1d20+6=7) Utterly Oblivious Will save to Oppose Mind reading DC 22 (1d20+8=11) Failed. But I'll be a pain in the butt and VP that. Will save to Oppose Mind reading DC 22 - VP reroll (1d20+8=17) rolled a 9, gets bumped up to a 19+8 = 27
-
Point of note: Malice has been out of his power armor for quite a while now actually.
-
Malice laid there sprawled on his back after Dark Star had yanked him out of the air. If he's here, guess I've have to break out the fancy stuff. Hopefully he goes down fast, it draws on a lot of power - and why did it just get dark? It was then that Malice heard Scarab's voice and saw the large pile of rocks floating above him. "Craaaaaaaap!" Malice coughed as the rocks broke over his chest, knocking the wind clear out of him. That settles it, I need a bigger gun.
-
Alright, high tech space radiation didn't hurt, but arrows did hurt, so continuing the tread, chucking rocks at Malice is liable to kill him. Let's test that theory. Toughness save vs Rock chucking DC 25 (1d20+11=18) Yep. Fail by 7, stunned and bruised. Total of 2 bruises now.

Eric always loved the acceleration on the rockets, the rush you get from going so fast is quite intoxicating. However, the thrill of speed is often dulled by the dread for someone's safety, and this is another one of those times. RRG lands just a few feet away from the jogger and covers the rest of the distance on foot. He puts a hand comfortingly on her shoulder "Ma'am are you alright? What happened here?" RRG scanned the area while comforting the woman looking for anything out of place. He made sure to keep a hand on her in case he needed to get her out of there in a hurry.
-
RRG moves in for a closer inspection on the strange goo, and the pattern in made on the tree. "It's too much of a coincidence for this not to be connected to the murder cases, and it's high up enough that the police could have missed it easily. But with this many splotches around, we could be looking at something big here. Hrrmm. They don't stretch all the way to the ground, so they either dropped onto the ground, without leaving a trace, leaped up to the tree, or originated on the tree and stayed there. I'd better get a sample of this stuff to the police, see if they can make heads or tails of it." RRG took a vial from within his suit and gingerly scooped up some of the goo, and hoped this bad feeling in his gut was just from missing lunch.
-
Well, guess I got to throw my hat in the ring too. Think you could do a picture of Malice? I'll leave the details up to you - in or out of costume, relaxed or action pose, 1 or 2 arms - whatever you feel like. But please do your level best to make him look evil. You've done pretty much only heroes, and I want to see what you can do at the opposite end of the spectrum.
-
Well the scenes were the murders took place, and then a general scanning of the area.

I tell you what, you meet some good people in your life no matter where you are. I'm not in here a week before I hit it off with this guy, Jamaal Roberts, one of the guards. He's a big ole black guy in his mid 40's, and if weren't for the guard's uniform, I would swear this guy was from the 70's. He's got that funky groove walk and everything. Showed me a picture of him when he's off duty, he's got an afro. Not one of those comically large ones, but an afro none the less. There's not a man alive who can make me laugh like this guy. If his shift was any longer, I would have died from laughter long ago. We “met†after he was talking with another guard (Alex) and was telling him how is brand new mp3 player had just crapped out on him. I wrap my knuckles on the panel at the front of my cell to get his attention. "I can probably get that working again for you." "Now why would you do something like that?" "I always liked to tinker with gizmos, and in case you haven't noticed, I'm not exactly in the most stimulating of environments." "We've got orders not to let you get anything electronic?" "Are the higher up afraid that the cripple is one broken mp3 player away from powering past all the guards in this place, and making his escape?" "Point." It was a real quick fix. One of the connections was a little faulty. Took me all of 10 minutes to fix. Since that day, we've been pretty good friends.

I’ve been questioning what I’m doing now and days. Not the whole “super villain†thing; I’m sticking to my guns on that issue. But I’m talking about preparing my legal defense. I’m pretty sure I’m going to serve time. Any charge that I don’t wriggle out of, the judge is going to give me the maximum sentence, probably on principle of the matter. Wouldn’t be much of a problem if I hadn’t done so much shit in my life. Once they start digging, I’ll be up on 30 some – odd charges. I’ll probably get out of 20 of them, but wind up severing a near life sentence anyways. Point is, soon enough I’ll have to be giving thought on how to escape from prison. My lock picking skills are adequate, but not the best. I’ve got all the theory of demolitions knocking about in my head, but I’ve got no actual practice. And demolitions isn’t exactly something you want to practice in prison. Add into the fact that I would much rather pull this off independently. I don’t want these metas back on the street, and for the most part, the guards are good people. But we do what we must.

Notice Checks to see the "big picture" (1d20+8=28, 1d20+8=15, 1d20+8=14, 1d20+8=19, 1d20+8=13) Also, RRG has Extended Vision on his super senses, so he takes a -1 penalty every 100ft instead of every 10. Not sure if that matters or not.
