Date: March 5th, 2009. It was a difficult thing, this super business. You bring together a collection of individuals, who all have varied insights, skills, techniques, moral compasses and abilities, and then pit them against one another. Being a loser in one of these exchanges results in at least the humiliation of the party, where in the worse case scenario is death, and not merely your own. Furthermore, because of all these variables, the odds of running into 2 seperate encounters that follow the same general format are astrolical. So there is a paradox. Every one involved in such an altercation wants to be sure that they are prepared for the encounter, but they never can be because of the erratic nature of these events. For all I know, Omega could try to destroy all of reality tommorrow, or the Freedom League could deduce my identity and come looking for me or even nothing could happen, it could be for all intents and purposes just another day. But the one constant in this world is that conflict is inevitable. So those involved in this little game are always trying to rise to new challenges, to expect the unexpected and ultimately be the ones standing on top of the pile; quite the tall order. It was to this end that Eric Micheals, secretly the self proclaimed savior Malice, had built constructed a bunker under his own home. This bunker seperated his everday life from the life he had chosen to live for himself. He worked on upgrades for the Mantle of Freedom, researched his adversaries and generall just prepared for the inevitable. He had even built and programed a combat simulator to test and hone his abilities. However, after using the simulator for months, it seemed that the only thing he was getting good at was repairing the droids he repeatedly plastered over the walls. So he abandoned the project for a time. He instead focused on upgrading the armor almost exclusively. Time passed, and upgrades were made, but there was always a nagging feeling at the back of Eric's mind. He realized that no matter how powerful the armor was, no matter how powerful he was, he always stood a chance of loosing. Omega, arguably the most powerful being in the universe, at the head of an army that was measured in millions, had been driven back by the forces of Earth, not once, but twice. Power was not all there was to winning battles. There was experience, insight and sheer dumb luck. The third could only be prayed for, but the other two could be attained; but only if you worked at them. Finally putting that nagging feeling to rest, Eric began working on a new simulation for the combat training facility.

The Final Round - End Round 2 19 - Malice -- VP x3, Bruise x3, Stunned 14 - Captain -- VP x2, Bruise x1 9 - Wendigo -- Bruise x2, One HP used Malice is gonna remain stunned for the round, enjoy going toe to toe with Wendigo
-
When the Captain has the gall to say that he is able to go toe to toe with Wendigo, Wendigo... smilies...? In a voice that is far too soft for a creature this large and terrifying it says "I guess you won't mind if I clear the feild then." Malice's body locks up at the realization that the beast can talk. Taking advantage of Malice's lapsed concentration, Wendigo rakes his claws across Malice's chest. The claws pierce easily through his armor but Malice just barely manages to avoid truly serious injury but the shock of the blow has him reeling.

Eric says "Good bye." with a curt nod as Mr. Fujisama takes his leave. He let the silence from the departure of Mr. Fujisama linger for a moment. He then softly asked Dr. Archeville "Welcome to the world of business. So, what're your impressions?" Eric was asking not just about Mr. Fujisama's proposal, but of how the meeting as a whole went, including Eric's vieled threats and his way of doing business. Something in his voice led Dr. Archeville to believe that he was honestly looking for Dr. Archeville's opinion on the matter, and not merely testing him.

It takes Red Star a moment to decipher what the heck Nightrival is saying, he's never been good at understanding accents. When he realizes he's being complemented however he sheepishly rubs the back of his neck "It wasn't really that impressive. I just kinda helped out, and did what came naturally, hoping it would work. Everyone else held themselves together real good too." When the topic of how they all managed to show up arose Red Star chimed in "Yeah, it was total coincidence I was here. I was just on my way back from - ****! Aw man! my groceries! Be right back." Red Star then turns around and takes off at a run before, blasting off into the air. He returns just a moment later, thankfully the chase had gone in the same direction he had come from so his grocery bags were nearby. Touching down a moment later, goceries in hand Red Star gives a small "sorry" to the crowd before, setting down his bags.

As the Captain narrowly steps out of the way of the way of Wendigo's assualt, he hears the roar of jet engines behind him. As Malice barrells towards Wendigo, he interlaces his fingers together for a double axehandle smash attack. While this maneuver is rather useless in normal combat it does the trick against the over extended Wendigo. The blow connects solidly under Wendigo's chin but again, the beast refuses to yeild. "Stay down already!" shouts Malice in frustration.

The Final Round - End Round 1 19 - Malice -- VP x4, Bruise x2 14 - Captain -- VP x2, Bruise x1 9 - Wendigo -- Bruise x2, One HP used

... :? ... I thought of that, almost  I'd be up for either option honestly.

Me thinks quote lied about his age.

The Captain's mighty fist crashes against the beast's skull jarring it immesley. The beast unfortunately quickly recovers from the injury. After taking 2 very powerful attacks just now, Wendigo moves to counter attack. It unleashes a unearthly wail that makes hair stand on its end. Then the feral beast lashes out in primal fury with reckless abandon at the Captain. If the Captain is even a little off his game, he's dead.

I'd love to do one for Malice, but I have no idea on how to resonably get him there and participate.

Submitting an NPC, writing a vingette and DMing Druken Shenanigans

Truth be told, Malice was a little worried. The arena had been filled with monsters before, but now they faced the king of monsters. Up until this point, the crowd was always behind him. But at the mere drop of his name the crowd ditched Malice and Captain without hesitation. Further, it appeared as if this Wendigo didn't win over the crowd with wild antics like Captain had done this night. No, Wendigo was the type to be successful because of how many times he had bathed the arena in blood. His title and the crowd's love of him was enough to prove this. ... When the time came for the match to begin, Malice was the first to act, reacting faster than he had in any of the other fights, a testament to the human fight or flight response which was in high gear now. Preferring to keep his distance from those horrendous looking claws, Malice opened up the fight with a tremendous roar of DAKKA hoping to end the fight without having to worry about being torn to shreds. Unfortunately Wendigo easily weathers the hit. "Aww nuts."

The Final Round - Start 19 - Malice -- VP x4, Bruise x2 14 - Captain -- VP x3, Bruise x1 9 - Wendigo

We each get 1 recovery check before the next fight. We also both get 2 more VP because this fight will be a pain. I wil be using GM Fiat to help out Wendigo. Furthermore, Wendigo has some VP of his own that he can use without me falling back on GM Fiat, but you won't know how many. Recovery check before main event (1d20 6=7) Damn. Well this is gonna hurt. Wendigo Initiative (1d20 6=9) Malice Initiative Final Round (1d20 0=19)

Malice surveys the damage to his armor. Lady Toxic's acid had done a number on Malice's paint job, and Shard had put more than a few dents in his armor. "Yeah. Hope they're not too much more of this. They seems to be running out of big guns, so let's just hope that we scared off the little ones." Malice is pumped for the next match, he's taking it easy around the ring, trying to conserve his strength. It probably turns out to be a very wise decision. The annoucer then speaks to all those present. "Folks it appears as if some of the competitors have dropped out, not wanting to fight Malice and Captain." There are a great deal of moans and even some boos from the crowd. But the announcer is quick to respond "But that is just as well for now it is time for the main event. And we have a doozy for you tonight folks. For we have have 1 more combatant who wishes to challenge these two brave individuals. AND, he is none other than our reigning champ!" Distressingly, the crowd promptly goes ape-****. "THAT'S RIGHT FOLKS! HE'S IN THE BUILDING THIS VERY NIGHT, AND ON HIS WAY TO THE RING! LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! I GIVE YOU OUR REIGNING CHAMP! THE ONE! THE ONLY! THE UNSTOPPABLE! WEEEEEEENNNNN----DDDDDIIIIIII----GGGGOOOOOOO!!! On command, one of the most terrifying beasts you have ever laid eyes upon barrells into the ring, shreiking a bone-chilling scream laced with bloodlust; making the scream worse is the groans of the metal as his claws tear easily through the ring. One thing was certain - this was going to be a hell of a fight.

Alright, point spending time. Malice: I'll buy another rank in Device for 4 points. I'll increase Protection by 2 ranks (bumping Toughness save up to +14), then increase Enhanced Strength in the Weapons Array by 3 Points, and also bump all of the ranks of the blast powers up by 1. So it'll look like this: A careful observer will now note that Malice's previous Trade offs don't match any more. For PL 11, he'll Trade-off:-3 Defense for +3 Toughness, and -1 Attack for +1 DC mod (ranged) and -3 Attack for +3 DC mod (melee). I'm just doing this so the resulting values are all even, just a little quirk I have. I'll move the trade offs back to where they were previously when I reach PL 12 to keep it all even. Red Star: I'll also be spending 4 points on Red Star. I'll spend 2 points to bump his Dynamic Flight/ SS array up by 1 point. And I'll trade in the 2 ranks of Dodge Focus and buy 2 ranks in Defense with the remaining Points. Explaination: Powers are getting stronger, and he's becoming a better fighter without as many holes in his defense.

Dang. That's impressive. Guess I need to get off my butt and post more huh?

Red Star is obviously taken aback by the sudden appearance of all the other supers. Red Star addresses the supers from the store "OK, point of order. If you're all going to just poof out of the crowd like that, do me a favor and wear a cowbell or something, I'm running out of skin to jump out of." Red Star chuckles at his own joke for a moment, shaking his head. He looks like he's about to say something, but then he realizes that he's still glowing. He shuts off the glow sheepishly saying "Just I can stop being a beacon now huh?" "Alright to bring you up to speed here, I chased Grab to that area over there, when uhhh..." Red Star casts a sidelong glance at the business card M's holding "...Shinken! here found the chase in progress. After a small skirmish, Grab tried to get some cover in the crowds, but M here dispersed the crowds quick enough that Shinken could end the fight."

Start of Round 2 25 - DJ Ararchy - Bruised x1 18 - Captain - VP x3 13 - Moria/Divine - HP x2 Captain's up, and DJ has recovered from Stunned.
-
I'd say just a move action to get to him (because Moria can jump really far with her strength alone) and then a trip attack as a standard action.
-
The Captain's punch caught DJ Anarchy off gaurd and he takes it on the chin distressingly, DJ Anarchy is still very much on his feet and his face felt very much like the wall of a safe.
-
If I had known this would have scared you so badly, I would have done more

Start of Round 1 25 - DJ Ararchy 18 - Captain - VP x4 13 - Moria/Divine - HP x2

"Don make me laugh mon. You don care bout dem people down dere. Dey just a means ta inflate ya ovasized ego." DJ Anarachy taunts the Captain before charging him and throwing a wild haymaker. You notice that DJ Anarchy is trying to attack in time with the music, but in this instance made his attack quite predictable.
