As the Captain's fist connects with Ghost, Ghost is thrown bodily from the ring, slamming into the forcefeild before plummeting to the ground to join the other 3 combatants already there. That leaves the Captain as the last man standing in the arena in all his glory on the highest platform with the crowd shouting his name with increasing ferocity.
-
The Captain notices that those that seem to be the least effected also seem to be the ones who are walking in the least straight line. Apparently having a good time and getting plastered at a bar seems to give people a bit of resistance to the effects. Also, the Captain notices that the ones holding the more expensive drinks as opposed to the cheap stuff seem to be a little less effected than some of the others. With all the top shelf stuff you've been hoovering, you should be good for a while.
-
A quick glance outside reveals that Morely's isn't the only place affected. People are filing ot of every building as far as the eye can see, and everyone is all going in the general West direction. As far as you can tell you two appear to be the only ones unaffected, though a few members of the crowd seem to be less out of it than others. Gonna need a notice check and or sense motive check to try and find a common characteristic(s) between those who are less effected than the others. DC 20.

Malice is taken by surprise as his platform passes dangerously close to the underside of another platform. Malice is sent flying through the electric fence but his armor protects him again as he passes through the current. Unfortunately, the electrical surge causes a temporary short in Malice's jet engines and he splats on the ground with a particularly loud *THUNK*. All Malice can do is look up to where the others are still fighting and facepalm at his own failure. The Ghost and Captain are otherwise left well enough alone.

End of Round 3 29 - The Captain - VP x2 (Drained?) 24 - Ghost -- Bruise x2, Stunned 20 - Firestarter - Disqualified 19 - Lady Toxic - Disqualified 9 - Malice - VP x0 Start of round 4 arena stuff. Roll 2d6, First is Malice, then Captain and Ghost Arena stuff start of round 4, Malice then Ghost and Cap (2d6=4,1) Malice might lose about 8 pounds off the top, while Cap and Ghost are fine. Ghost maintains his eriee calm despite the Captain's best taunts. Even more startling however is the fact that Ghost takes the hit very well without rolling with it at all. Ghost leers back at the Captain "Is that all you can muster? Disapointing." With his hands fully enshrouded in shadow, Ghost again assaults the Captain but the Captain dodges the attack again. ================== From his particular vantage point, Malice doesn't have that many options, except for one yet unused weapon, the Liberation Cannon. Several panels on Malice's shoulders spring up and a swarm of mini-sidewinder missles spews forth. The missles head straight for the bottom of the platform Ghost and Captain are standing on, as if Malice was aiming to destroy it. But at the last second the missles split into different groups and make radical 90 degree turns until they are attacking from every direction on the platform. The explosions are calculated enough that Ghost is hit, but the Captain is unharmed. Ghost is thrown by the assualt, but still very much on his feet.

At the Captain's outburst, most of the crowd looks back at him. For a moment, it looks like there's a sense of recognition in their eyes and they even stop in their tracks. One or two of them even start heading back to their seats. But that moment passes as quickly as it comes, and the crowd once again begins to leave once more.

DUN DUN DUUUNNNNNN

As The Captain and Moria clink their 7th shots together, everything changes. For a moment the entire world seems to fall silent as if everything has stopped. Out of the silence comes a voice declaring "COME TO ME" It wasn't a command, nor was it even all that loud except in contrast to the silence before. But it had such quality to it that made it seem like it was a very well thought out suggestion from a dear friend. Moria and Captain half rise out of their chairs before the silence is washed away and replaced once again with the normal sound of life. For a moment, Captain and Moria look over their glasses at one another in a mixture of confusion and a desire to confirm that it wasn't just their own imaginations fueled by drinking at work. The answer comes quickly enough in the form of wood scrapping on wood, as all the chairs and stools in the pub are pushed back as all the other patrons of the pub stand and begin heading for the door.

When Moria mentions that she has heard of him, Red Star does his level best to try and act calm cool and suave. He of course fails utterly, but hey he's trying. Puffing out his chest a little with a show of pride Red Star replies "Why yes I am Red Star. I'm always glad to meet a fan." He returns to a normal posture before becoming a little excited saying "Wait, you've heard of me? How did you find out? My blog, newspapers, tv reports, word of mouth? Oh wait, umm maybe a question for another time. I have no objection to you coming with us, but I do have a condition. You give us a name to call you other than Red, that one's taken."

Malice's little victory celebration as the platform suddenly decides to flip over on him. Malice looses traction on all of the bullet casings lying around and goes for quite the spill. But passes through the electric feild completely without incident. A quick thruster burst later and Malice lands back on solid ground a little shaken, but no worse for wear. The platform that the Captain and Ghost are fighting on, suddenly jolts upward. Ghost keeps his footing if you can call it that because he's not actually standing so much as in the ground.

And now for the start of round 3 Shenanigans. Rolling 2d6, first die is for Malice, 2nd die is for Captain and Ghost. Start of Round 3 arena stuff, first die is Malice, 2nd is Captain and Ghost. (2d6=6,3) Really? Flips on Malice again!? Malice's little victory celebration as the platform suddenly decides to flip over on him. Alright, so here we go: Start of round 2 29 - The Captain - VP x3 24 - Ghost 20 - Firestarter - Bruise x1 19 - Lady Toxic 9 - Malice - VP x2 Naturally, roll a fricken one against her, AGAIN. Burn a VP to auto pass toughness save (passing by 5 points btw). Then I used Extra Effort to get an extra standard action (buring a VP to ignore fatigue) and used that stadard action to capitalize on the Inspiration bonus. Payed off well didn't it? End of Round 2 29 - The Captain - VP x2 (blinded?) 24 - Ghost 20 - Firestarter - Disqualified 19 - Lady Toxic - Disqualified 9 - Malice - VP x0

While the Captain is busy shouting orders to Malice, Ghost takes the opprotunity to snake some shadows along the ground around the Captain, and then springs the shadows up to startle and confuse the Captain. But the real attack comes from below, but is a little off target. Even in the heat of battle, Ghost's expression has yet to change. While that is going on, Firestarter leaps high into the air, hoping that Malice will lose track of where he is. The unorthodox manuevers pays off as Malice is thrown by the leap. Continuing his acrobatics, Firestarter unleashes several areial kicks, throwing flames at Malice as if they were soccer balls. But as Malice is driven on by the Captain, the attacks have little effect as Malice swats the flames away. From the otherside of the arena Lady Toxic calls out to Malice as he is under assualt from Firestarter "Careful now, wouldn't want to getting hurt. But Malice is entirely too distracted to pay her words any attention. "Oh, you're no fun." she taunts as she hurls another ball of goop at Malice. It appear's Malice's armor doesn't like whatever acid that is as it hisses horribly again but Malice quickly rids himself off the acid as he did previously. ================ Throughly annoyed at his predicament, Malice vents his frustrations on Firestarter with his now signature minigun barrage. The absolute wall of bullets quickly take the smile right off Firestarter's face. In fact, the bullets are so punishing, that they push Firestarter back into the forcefield where he is infact being held aloft by the hail of bullets, pinned to the wall, with no sign of Malice letting up. Lady Toxic looks as her companion goes flying back against the wall. With revenge in her heart, she turns to Malice with renewed hatred, but she finds a gun identical to the one holding Firestarter aloft pointed directly at her, this time on Malice's left arm. Even though it is unlikely that no one will hear over the gun fire, Malice takes the time to say "The first rule in making weapons, is to always make 2." before unloading on Lady Toxic just like he did on Firestarter. Although Malice's aim is a little worse with that attack the results are very much the same. After taking a moment to enjoy the idea that he is keeping two bodies in excess of 50 feet apart aloft with the power of gunfire alone, Malice lets up on his barrage and the bodies fall to the ground in a pathetic crumble. Malice, lowers the now heavily smoking barrells, and kicks some of the rather large amount of empty shells around him off the edge. He turns to the Captain and gives him the thumbs up uttering the greatest phrase off all time "BOOSH."

For lack of a better title: The Day Hate was Born

"I'm aware of that Mr. Fujisama. I will instruct them to keep this matter to themselves, but I can't keep them out of the loop, it's just not my style. But there aren't any real pressing matters at this point. So, I thank you for your time and for your commitment to your company to make this offer in person. Eric stands and offers his hand "If the deal goes through then I look forward to a fruitful partnership; if however, the deal does not go through, then I look forward to the challenge that your company represents."
-
I'm really sorry to hear that, give Sandman all my best.

Inspiration is a full round action. Also to clarify, the user of inspiration does not get the benefits of the feat.

I really need to start looking before I leap. I think I know where I'm going to go with this, but keep your posts going back and forth, I'll jump in when the time is right. I'll probably post something like "RESERVED" to let you know I'm about to muck things up. But for now, continue to go nuts.

In the West End, there is a quaint little pub called Morley's. It's been family owned for a few generations and has a good reputation. But the pub has slowly begun to gather more and more popularity as rumors of the new owner spread. Apparently, she's quite the looker. There have also been rumors that there was an odd brawl there not too long ago. Some people got scared off, but others got intrigued. Well on this night, Morley's would get one of their more interesting clients. It just goes to show you that there is no such thing as a normal night of drinking.

The thread quote and moria will invariably need to discuss what horrible horrible things they do in the course of the night.

Start of round 2 29 - The Captain - VP x3 -- (???) 24 - Ghost 20 - Firestarter - Bruise x1 19 - Lady Toxic 9 - Malice - VP x2
-
Lady Toxic's platform suddenly drops, but she remains stable easily. Malice and Fire Starter's platform flips over, and the two make a mad scrammble to find land. Firestarter loses his balance and goes flying off the edge, but not before being zapped by the fence. He recovers however and blasts himself onto one of the nearby platforms. Malice on the other hand takes advantage of the momentum genereted by his earlier kick and easily lands safely back on the platform. The Captain and Ghost remain relatively unmolested.

End of Round 1 29 - The Captain - VP x3 -- (???) 24 - Ghost 20 - Firestarter 19 - Lady Toxic 9 - Malice - VP x2 I need you to make your Fort save vs being paralyzed before the shenanigans with the ring. Alright, let's determine what happens to everyone. I'll roll it here and then describe it in the IC, sound fair? I'll roll 3d6, the first is what happens on Lady Toxic's platform, the 2nd is what happens on Malice/ Firestarter's platform, and lastly Captain and Ghost. Start of Round 2 ring shenanigans. First die is LT, 2nd is M and FS, 3rd is C and G. (3d6=3,6,1) Fantastic. LT's platform suddenly drops, but she auto passes on her Balance/Acrobatics check to remain standing, yay Skill Master. Malice and Fire Starter's platform flips over, so they both need to make DC 22 Reflex saves. Firestarter loses his balance and goes flying off the edge, but not before being zapped by the fence. He recovers however and blasts himself onto one of the nearby platforms. (auto pass DC 10 reflex save). Malice on the other hand takes advantage of the momentum genereted by his earlier kick and easily lands safely back on the platform. The Captain and Ghost remain relatively unmolested.

As the Captain's attack hurtles towards Firestarter, flames erupt at his feet and he is lauched into the air easily avoiding the attack. "You can talk big, shame that's all you can do." Firestarter taunts back. As the Captain's anger towards Firestarter builds, he is suddenly brought back to reality as sudden chill emenates from behind him. As he turns around to face the new threat, he sees Ghost rising out from the platform, with dark inky shadows billowing like smoke under him. As a sickly white arm strikes the Captain and a deep chill settles in his chest as his very warmth, his very life essense is drained away. Seeing as how the Captain is occupied, and completely not worth his time, Firestarter leaps through the air straight at Malice, and flames erupt from Firestarter's arms and legs at he flies at Malice like a fiery whirlwind. Unfortunately, his acrobatics throw off his aim and he misses Malice entirely. Unlike her compatriots, Lady Toxic is content to stay where she is. She does however, summon up a bright green ball of noxious make and hurls it right at Malice whos armor begins to hiss violently but he acts quickly and gets the rest off the junk off of him before it can do serious damage*. After being assualted twice, Malice desides to vent his frustrations on the nearest target, in this case, Firestarter. In a surprise move, Malice goes for an arieal spin kick, but Firestarter easily evades the attack. * Villain Point reroll results in auto sucess.
