Move: Jump to the really big beastman thing. If my normal distance (~220ft) isn't enough, I'll use EE to add 2 to my Leaping ranks (~1100ft). Standard: Attack Roll vs Siege Beast; All Out/Power Attack 5; DC 36 Toughness on hit; Atlas Defense set to +2 (1d20+8=11) Bah. HP to reroll unless that hits somehow Attack Roll vs Siege Beast; All Out/Power Attack 5; DC 36 Toughness on hit; Atlas Defense set to +2; HP Reroll (1d20+8=28)  So that's a DC 41 Toughness save And then just for the lulz, I'll use Improved Grab to start to wrassle with it. Grapple Check vs Big Beastie (already includes +5 from All Out Attack) (1d20+44=49) Atlas is down to 3 HP.

Hope all goes well SC. I'm going to be unavailable on Sunday, we're going up to see family.

Atlas surveyed his new compatriots for a moment before answering. "Ze answer to your question vill create more questions zan answers." said Atlas rather truthfully and slowly. He stooped lower so that he didn't have to shout as loud to be heard over the din of battle. "For now, I vill tell you zat I am a friend to good men vho fight vith vigor not for zemselves, but for ze ozers vho can not fight for zemselves." He took a knee, crouching down to look the soldiers in the eye. "I vill give you a better explanation once zis battle is over. And zis is a battle I vill end, zat I promise." he said as he extended his hand to the soldiers.

Move Action: Leap way up into the air Standard Action: Use the Shockwave PF at the height of the leap, pointing straight down. It'll have about a 50ft diameter. DC 29 Toughness save, DC 24 Reflex save for half damage to those hit

Read you loud and clear. responded Atlas telepathically to Scarab. Something that likely caught her off guard, as he used his own brand of telepathy to do so. Despite the initial surprise, Scarab's mental expertise quickly deduces the source and the fact that it is incapable of determining her inner thoughts, due both to design and her own impressive mental fortitude. Ve vill have vords after ze battle. It vill be fun. finished Atlas. Eying the surrounding area, Atlas smirked, seeing he had attracted quite the crowd. Good, that would make things much easier. And even better, there were no soldiers around that could get in the cross fire. Hunkering down, Altas suddenly leap high into the air, nearly a full 60ft! As he reached the height of his arc, he pulled his arms back and unleashed a mighty clap, sending an absolutely tidal force of air hurtling towards the ground. It rippled throughout the battle field, stirring up dirt and debris, but for those who were unfortunate enough to be caught under Atlas, it was as if they were being crushed into the ground by the very hand of god. And an angry one at that. A moment later, Atlas touched back down onto the battlefield, in a now wide open space.

"Well if you're worried about an attack..." said Eli after a moment of studying the incredibly detailed mock up Grim had made "...I should probably be situated more towards the back, in the center aisle here. That way I have a larger field of view to spot oncoming attacks, and if there is one, I can get up to speed quicker and get people out of harms way." finished Eli, apparently having also given this some thought. Eli sat back on the sofa once his piece was said. "But I really don't think you've got to worry about it. You don't exactly strike me as the type to get an arch nemesis, or guys swearing blood oaths of vengeance. Jack on the other hand..." said Eli jokingly, trying to lighten the mood.

He's a scientist with speedster traits, rather than a speedster with a dash of science. He needs the suit to hit caps, but is otherwise a pretty serviceable character, being about PL 5 without the suit, and covers many of the basics for sciency characters. My idea for this character is a scientist that wants to do more good in the world rather than just monkey around in their lab. The problem they run into however is that they just aren't good enough by themselves. They're good, but not great, and in the world of super heroes, that just doesn't cut the mustard. So they build the suit to do what their body cannot. They're much more of a Quicksilver than a Flash, but they've used those extra points to really build up their skills and feat selection. If you give them preptime, they can use Inventor to whip up some extra goodies.

Alright, based upon the fluff here, we're going to assume Atlas is in his classic Atlas form: Changed Stats are as follows: Melee Attack +8, Str mod +16, Toughness +16, Defense +7, Fort Save +14, Grapple +39, Knockback -18, Intimidate +19 Initiative Check - Battle after wormhole (1d20+0=3)

Atlas had the bad habit of closing his eyes when he went on long leaps. He liked feeling like he could fly. Of course he could do that now if he grew wings, but he was always aware of the effort to keep flying. He liked the weightless sensation. So, he had no idea that he had gotten sucked through a wormhole until he heard the sounds of battle. All he managed was a baffled "Vhat ze-?" before he goomba stomped a weird gelatinous critter. "Sorry about zat, are you al-" started Atlas out of habit, but stopped himself once he got a good look at the creature. At which point, he punched it in the .... face? deciding that it was something he didn't want to get back up again. Standing to his full considerable height, Atlas was quickly able to survey the battle grounds and decide things looked bad. He came to the conclusion that when outnumbered against an unknown foe bent on the destruction of mankind, there was only one thing to do: make yourself the target. He clenching his hand into a fist and beat his chest twice before letting out a full gutteral roar, announcing his presence to the horde. If they wanted a fight, he was going to give it to them.

You have Atlas' axe.

"It's actually entirely different from the last time I did this." replied Gossamer!Atlas. "I've always had the ability to change my shape like this, but I never knew it until the MetaGrue unlocked it. It's like there were certain parts of my body that were blocked off, like if you didn't know you could bend your elbow. As time went on, I was pushing the boundaries of what was possible, and also I was becoming more Grue-like. When I initially got my powers, I could only transform into Atlas for a little bit at a time. Then for a while there, I was stuck in Atlas form. Then I was able to change my shape, though it was a bit klunky. When I got my mental powers, I was pulled into the Unity as I finally became Grue enough to be controlled." Gossamer!Atlas shifted on the stool so the real Gossamer could get a better angle for the vein. "Hrnnn..." considered Gossamer!Atlas chewing on his bottom lip, trying to figure out how to put it into words. "Ok, so at my base, I'm car lifting, steel punching strong, and about as tough. I can use my shapeshifting to build up from that, but I can't make myself worse. I'm always at least that strong, no matter the form. I also always have to keep the ability to talk and have thumbs, or at least have something of hand-level... ummm, dexterity? That's the word I think. Dunno why. Still a work in process. Probably not a full grue so I can't do everything they can. But your tests will probably shed light on that." Gossamer!Atlas outright snorted at this remark, trying to not laugh out loud. "I swear, doctors gotta have a class that teaches you to keep a straight face while saying weird crap like that. Seriously."

Alright, you guys have a bunch of top shelf stuff here, I'll cover the bargain bin. Geez3r's Specialty Pasta aka How Geez3r survived college 1 lb Ground Beef (I prefer the 85/15 variety) 1/2 box of medium shell pasta 1 8oz. can of tomato sauce (usually I get Hunts) 1 10.75oz can of tomato soup (usually Campbell) Cheese of your choosing to taste, I prefer New York Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese in copious amounts. Brown up the ground beef in a semi-deep frying pan, and drain the grease. While that's going on, boil the pasta. Start later if you like your pasta aldente. Reduce the heat and add the sauce and soup. Stir thoroughly. Let simmer for about 5 minutes. Add pasta & meat sauce together in a large bowl. Stir thoroughly. Add cheese to taste. In case of leftovers, an average sized bowl takes about 1:30 to 1:45 to reheat on high in the microwave.

Your Knockback is -3, -1 without powers. (it's 1/2 your Toughness save rounded down) Your toughness save is +7 with your powers active, and you are therefore undercapped defensively. You've spent 6 points in Feats, and 58 points in Powers. A further note, with the 10pp version of Immunity to electrical effects, you are immune to any effect with the electrical descriptor ie: Dazzle, Paralyze, Stun, etc. If you get the 5pp version, you are only immune to Damage of the electrical descriptor. Not sure which one suits your concept more.

"You don't watch the news very often do you?" replied Gossamer!Atlas dryly, as he got up off the stool to better look at Protectron. "Samael Nitorvich aka Atlas, the Grue Bioweapon." Gossamer!Atlas explained as he changed his skin color to a deep red and his hair went from golden blond to jet black. "I kind of lead a full scale Invasion on Freedom City a few months back..." continued RedGossamer!Atlas as his hair formed itself into fists and punched the air in front of him for emphasis "...At least until the other heroes snapped me out of the mind control and we were able to drive off the Grue Invasion." Retaking his seat and normal color Gossamer!Atlas concluded "So it was the process the Grue used on me to turn me into a weapon that gave me my powers. Though I wound up being the most powerful out of all the other "candidates" due to my previous exposure to Soviet-era practices, which have thankfully been stopped."

Eli has to be there or else you would forget the important things, like refreshments and disco balls. Or he could be working on a giant version of the Time in a Bottle Invention so that they could have the entirety of the ceremony in a pocket time stream, without missing out on the outside world, or giving villains a chance to bust in. Plus there's only small chance of opening a dimensional rift sending the castle and all hurtling through space and time. <.< >.> <.<

Gonna be gone for the rest of the weekend. I'm helping an aunt move today and tomorrow I'll have to make up the time I lost working on my paper, which is due in a couple of days.

Magnets! How Do They Work? Science, You Clown! [IC]
Geez3r replied to Dr Archeville's topic in West End
"Wait... what?" said Eli, clearly not being caught up on the issue. "She's Zephyr's mother? How does that work, she's still in high school? Oh right, time travel stuff right?" said Eli as his brain caught up to the information and connected the dots. "That's gotta be weird." mused Eli. "But seriously Doc, don't beat yourself up to bad about it." said Eli noticing the Dok suddenly got a lot more quiet. "You can't be a scientist at the top of any field, let alone most of them without having to ask yourself some ethical questions and toe the line. And eventually you'll screw up, or at the very least, won't do as well as you would have liked. What separates good people from bad people is that the good people won't lower the bar for their behavior just because its an easier target to hit. They keep the bar where it is because they know it's a worthy goal." So you weren't proud of an event in your past. That's a single piece of evidence. It doesn't say anything about your character as a whole. If you want to be better, then be better. You're Dr. Archeville. The words "physically possible" get redefined when you walk into the room. Don't settle for anything less than the best of what you know you can achieve. It's the only way to be happy with yourself at the end of the day." finished Eli sagely. See mom, I do listen. thought Eli rather proud of himself. -
You do realize that if her protection is noticeable then everyone that meets her will know she has super powers just by looking at her right? Noticeable Protection is something like "has metal skin" or "has a turtle like shell". That kind of throws having a secret ID right out the window.

What stops me from approving this character is the killing of a Canon NPC. Once you figure a way to skirt that, I'll approve this.
