  1. Yeah. It just seems a little bare bones is all. Also, in the feats section, it says 0pp when it should say 19. It's accounted for correctly at the bottom of the sheet.
  2. The new Demo Knight trailer is out. :P
  3. Due to our house rules, you only retain a Defense Bonus when flat-footed for even values. So you would have a +2 FF Defense with a +5 Defense. You have 48 ranks for 12pp, not 46. You need to alphabatize your feats. The fluff could use some flushing out.
  4. :approved:
  5. I'm pretty sure that the Lab that can find the funding for VR holographic imaging equipment has the budget for the high speed autoclave. :iia:
  6. "Well I'm an atypical speedster." said Eli with a shrug. "I can without any hubris that I am the fastest man alive. Full stop." Eli paused for a second as he considered how to word what he was thinking. "I don't know if you know this or not, but I've met up with Johnny Rocket once or twice. We haven't been on any missions together or anything like that. But there's always a sense of comradery with other speedsters; they know what your life is like and they have enough time in their day to sit back and relate what they know and talk to you. Now as near as I can tell, when I met up with Rocket, he was going just as fast as he could; both speed wise and mentally. But if I dedicated myself to just going as fast as I could, I'm several hundred times faster than he is. But it's when I start exceeding people like Johnny Rocket that I have to start slowing my mind down." explained Eli, hoping that giving a sense of scale to the speeds he was talking about would help illuminate the point. "But I know that's not the case for all speedsters capable of these extreme speeds. Or more precisely, the other speedster. I've never met her, but that Zephyr girl they've got running around is faster than me in every regard. And she's like a "standard" speedster because she can do both at those extreme speeds. Why that's the case, I couldn't even hazard a guess." ended Eli with a shrug.
  7. May be a little sporadic this weekend. Got a lot of work to do, I'm sick and my brother's coming home for mid semester/Easter break.
  8. Sam just shrugged. "You know bigger words of a medical nature than I do, that's close enough. Most of the doctors I've dealt with were strong proponents of the walk it off philosophy, so you're already quite a few notches up from that by using sterilized equipment." related Sam. He snorted a bit at the Red Cross line. "If you can't find a vein in my arm, you need to hang up the lab coat there Doc." said Sam with a grin as he rolled back his sleeve, revealing a pretty prominent vein running the length of his forearm. Once the rather unique tourniquet was in place and he began squeezing the ball as instructed, it wasn't long until he pretty much had the perfect practice arm for new nurses. "Don't be afraid to just jab it in now, I'm still tougher than I look." cautioned Sam.
  9. Alright, need to start patching this hole. Going to spend 1pp with Atlas to buy 4 ranks in Concentrate. Doktor'd
  10. Just hit level 40 with Atlas today. I actually still have most of the quests of Vibora Bay to do. And I know I've got a few chains to finish up on Monster Island and Lemuria as well.
  11. "I'll wear you down one of these days." said Eli jokingly has he readjusted his santa hat after Jill had mussed with his hair. "Hey thanks." said Eli as he started thumbing through some of the sci fi books. "I've been meaning to get down to the book store, but we've got lightning techno disco DDR laser tag downstairs. So yeah." he finished lamely with a shrug. "Aww thanks Mo'." said Eli as he gave Mona a quick hug. "Though if you ever feel like being really nice to me, you could always give me a peek at that photo album there." he said with an impish smile, as he continued the conversation at high speed. He wasn't able to resist giving Erik and Ellie an evil grin once Fulcrum had sat back down.
  12. Passing a glass of water to the good Doctor, Eli slid back into his seat as Archeville probed a little deeper. "Ah yes. I can actually do both of those things, and have done so before. However, they are what we refer to as awesome but impractical. Running over water or up a wall is far easier than simply trying to just stand on them. See unlike a lot of other speedsters, at least as far as I can tell, when I start getting to the really insane speeds running wise, my mind actually slows down. Well not really slows down, I just don't have as much resources to dedicate to thinking about a problem. Think of it this way: no matter how fast the computer, there is a limit to how much it can do at once. The more memory that a program takes up, the less there is for everything else. When I run at really, really high speeds, so much of my mind is focusing on generating energy to keep running and keeping me aware of my surroundings, I don't have that much time to think about my physics homework for instance. I can get both my thinking and doing up to really high speeds, but there comes a point where I have to start trading off between the two. Now what the heck does that have to do with sticking to walls? Basically, when I'm running at full tilt, I only have to get the energy output to be good enough to get me some traction for the smallest fraction of a second before I take my next step. There's a relatively wide margin of error there. The longer I need to stay in one spot, the more concentration and focus I'd need. Too little energy going out and I fall. Too much is how I figured out I could shoot lightning." related Eli. "Doing magnetic tricks and telekinesis sort of have the some problem. It requires a lot more focus than I currently have. Right now, the only thing I can manipulate with any certainty are steel marbles about the size of a quarter or other magnets. If I try to dedicate too much attention to a given task, the other ones kind of get unsupervised, which can be bad, as you can image."

Sample Shapeshifting Allocations  Really, not too much changes between this Atlas and the current one. Quite a few extras get tacked onto the Shapeshift power. Add in some extra skills and feats, and a +2 to Reflex and Will. With Shapeshift I can basically make Atlas as strong as he needs to be, which is nice. I've kept all of the sample forms he has currently, unmodified. With these sample forms he's PL 13 ish. With some point shuffling in the Shapeshift, he could easily get to PL 15, but I'm reserving that for the crisis events. 13 is enough to be recognizably powerful without curbstomping any fight you wander into.
  14. Lemuria is god awful. Cool in concept, terrible in application. What ruins it is the swimming, you know, the thing you've never practiced at all in the past 30 levels and therefore have no idea how to do it properly in combat. If you have a melee power set, this area is gonna suck. Hard.
  15. Just played about 20 minutes of Vibora Bay Apocalypse. If the rest of the game was like this, I'd seriously consider subscribing. This is the firs time in the game where I felt like #$%@ was seriously about to hit the fan unless I did something. Also, those annoying gates they've got around that pour undead out of them? Run away unless there's a lot of high level people around. The boss that spawns will kick your butt.
  16. Yeah, for me personally, I don't have enough time to play the game (or any game) for $15 a month to be worth while. Extra character slots and extra bag slots are something I'd consider buying however.
  17. "Ooh thanks Grim!" said Eli with obvious enthusiasm, as he started flipping through the books. "For all the time I spend in the kitchen you've think I'd know how to make more than just eggs at this point. And you have no idea how easy it is to be the ugly American stereotype if you don't know what you're doing abroad. Shush." said Eli quickly focusing his attention on the Espada siblings. "But seriously, thanks Grim. Now alls I need tos do is figured out them theres exchange rates." ... At the mention of the perpetual motion machine, Eli's santa hat was left comically hanging in mid air, as Eli ran out from under it in his haste to get into the garage. Skidding back into the room with a bunch of boxes with parts of the machine in his hand, Eli snatched his hat out of the air before turning his attention back to Colt. "Dude, you have no idea the terror you have just unleashed upon the land." said Eli almost giddily. "With my powers I can make these things go super fast with next to no friction. And the best part is..." Eli paused dramatically for a moment, before flickering as pulled out a box from elsewhere, which held another perpetual motion machine. "My sister Cassie had the same idea! Now I can combine them! ...I wonder if I can make one big enough to involve every room in the house...?" ... Thankfully Eli was a bit more subdued when he get the gift from Mona. He wasn't less pleased so much as he was dumbfounded. "Wow. You made me look all heroic and junk. And you gave me some muscles there too. Plus 2 brownie points for you there. Wish I could hang it up in my room, but not really something I want to get in the habit in. Something like this needs to be in the lair until you come up with an excuse as to why you have a portrait of a hero that bears a striking resemblance to you on your mantle piece. That's a lot." ... "Alright my turn." said Eli, getting up in front of the room. "I had bugger all of an idea of what to get your guys, other than the really obvious stuff. So, I made ya something." Eli disappeared for a moment before coming back into the room, carrying a plain old shoe box. Erik's metamagi senses however immediately picked it out as something else however. The box was reading like Eli himself. He pulled back the lid to reveal the individually wrapped presents, each about large enough to hold a potato. Inside was a clear tube filled with lightning and lots of mechanical bits, with a bright red button on top, and a clear cover over the button, presumably so one didn't accidentally push it. "Alright, first off. Don't push the button." said Eli once they were all opened. "They're essentially time in a bottle. If you push that button there on top, it'll give you a very low amount of super speed temporarily. It'll make you about as fast as a car for about 10 minutes. The effects will be a bit more dramatic on you Mona, due to you already have some speed, but not sure how much more. You aren't going to be able to dodge bullets or nothing, but if you find yourself with the need for more time, push the button and 10 minutes becomes 2 hours." Eli turned his attention to Vince. "Now Vince, you can't use this stuff unfortunately, but I got something else for you." Eli ran out of the room again. But this time he was gone for a while. Just as the team was getting worried if he was going to come back, Eli walked through the front door again. "And that's how you perform maintenance and make some upgrades on the embarrassingly large amount of senors and cameras you've got scattered throughout the city. Which took forever by the way. Some of those suckers are hidden pretty well." "Merry Christmas all!"
  18. Atlas Ice to Meet You, Comrade There's a Little Grue In All of Us Dynamo A Very Interceptors Christmas Magnets! How Do They Work? Science, You Clown!
  19. Got a family get together Sunday. I'll have to work pretty hard on Monday to make up the time lost because we all know I'm not going to do today what I can put off until tomorrow.
  20. Some Eli edits to do. Those that are based. I'm going to use 2pp to buy 8 ranks in Craft: Electronics, 1pp to buy Inventor, and 1pp to buy Skill Mastery (Computers, Craft: Electronics, Knowledge: Physical Sciences, Knowledge: Technology). Ecal thinks quick, and edits quicker
  21. Is Vibrona Bay available to Silver Members? I'm 37 and I haven't seen it yet. I'm was doing a few "demon" missions in Millenium City that mentioned the Bay, but I stopped once I realized I had missed the Qullar chain in MI. Do I just do a few of those missions and then get to go to the Bay or what's the deal?
  22. "You're the Doctor." said Atlas with a shrug as he walked into the lab, nodding in appreciation at the decor. His own living spaces tended to be a bit more bare. Mostly because it was a pain to find furniture in his size. And now that he could freely change his size and shape, it felt wasteful to buy bigger furniture, and everything would seem out of place if he got smaller furniture. Not entirely sure of what precisely he was supposed to be doing, he plopped himself down on a stool in the room and took to observing his surroundings. Why is it that every time I visit a friend's place I feel like I'm clueless? Well probably because I am... Dok and Goss here have the whole science shtick and Phantom's got all the mystic ooga-booga crap. I need to... what do they call it...? Expand my horizons? mused Atlas internally as he was waiting for Estelle to do whatever she was going to do.
  23. Yeah, that's an oddity I run into myself. For usual soloing or general faffing about, I can run the game fine at the second best default setting. Or if you prefer numbers, 1 being the crappiest, and 4 being the best, I usually run at 3. If I do a major group battle like the mega-destroid or something to that effect, I usually lower it down to 2 just because I usually play the tank, and I want to avoid missing a block. I can usually do a boss battle on 3, but I play it safe. I can play on setting 4, though it does have the occasional frame rate issue. And it turns out I did miss a quest chain. Specifically the Qullar one on Monster Island. But yeah, other than joining a guild and repeatedly fighting the Teliosaurous, I don't see there being much end game. The mid game (levels 20-30) seemed to be the most grindy IMO.
