Ok, for Trade-offs denote that you have a -2 Attack, +2 DC modifier and a -3 Defense, +3 Toughness trade-off. Abilities, good. Combat, you've spent 14 points here, not 20. Initiative is +2/+7 Grapple is +7/+12/+17 with Super-Strength setting Defense is +1 Flat Footed Knockback is -1/-3 Saves, be fore to denote what your saves are while Boosted as well as their unboosted norms. Skills, The Skill modifier for Acrobatics, Bluff, Climb, Handle Animal, Hide, Intimidate, Knowledge (history), Knowledge (Tactics), and Survival are off. I believe that they are a hold over from a different set of ability scores. Feats, your equipment should be listed under the feats section, not the power section. Powers, good. General Notes: You don't hit your Defensive caps currently, you need +4 Defense total to do that. You currently only have +2. While it is not necessary to hit caps, it is strongly advised. In total you have spent 93 out of 105 points. So you've got 12 more points to mess around with.

You need to flesh out the Power Description section. It's not "what my powers look like" it is "these are what my powers are and how they work" For combat and saves, you need to break it down to show what they have with and without their powers. Fortitude should be: Fortitude: +10/+5 (+10/+5 Con, +0) for example.

Hi everyone. Just letting you know I should be returning shortly. It won't be in my full capacity because I do have a few papers and exams still (just 3 at this point), and over Christmas break i have to share the computer with my brother. No not at 100%, but I'm working on it. Also, I may get wrangled into helping drive up to get my brother, because it's a 4.5 hour drive one way.

I just realized the massive amount of work I have to do before we're done with the semester. I will not be on for like 2 weeks. If I do go on, for the love of god, someone tell me to get back to work.

Young Justice also debuted the other day as well. As of right now, all I have to go off of is the ~hour long pilot episode, but this looks like it'll be good as well. We'll have to wait until January before the series begins in full, which is dumb.

"Yeah, I'm going to go ahead and second Colt on that one there." said Eli slowly. "Looks like a hunting party, but they've got swords and crossbows, so I think they're hunting stuff that's a little less furry and a little more us-y." he explained. He also quickly added "Shut up. It's a word. They use "ye olde" here, it'll fit right in. So yeah, more go fast, we need it." He paused for a moment as he scanned what his allies were wearing. "And why did I get stuck with the lamest outfit? Why do I have to be a dork in this universe?"

Brother's home for the holidays so we're fighting for computer time.

Ok, as you have no Ranged Attacks, drop a few ranks of Attack and get the Feat: Attack Focus Melee. It will give you the same mechanical benefit, only cheaper. Saves, your Will save is only +6, I believe you forgot to change something at some point. And with your Exotic saves (Fort, Ref, Will) being 6/7/6 for a PL 10, you're going to find yourself hurting anytime an exotic effect is used on you. Skills, if you don't have ranks in the skill, don't list them. Also, you will likely never get any mileage out of Profession, ever. You can just say in your Backstory "I'm a writer". If you are a well known and/or successful writer, grab some Benefit feats like Status or Wealth. Powers, Danger Sense tied to tacticile is a bad idea without also boosting your tacticle sense somehow. It means you won't know the bullets are being shot at you until they have already hit your skin. If you want to be able to "see" the area around you like that, check out the Spacial Awareness power. Strike, as I've said quite a few times before you need to bump your Strength score. 3 ranks of Strike plus your -2 Str mod makes this attack power rank 1. Regeneration, explicitly spell out what ranks you are getting in regeneration. Also, Regen from Unconscious is banned. The Time Shift power: First, AP's cannot be linked to one another. Effects in an Array means that only one can be used at a given time. Linked means that they must be used at the same time. They're incompatible. In addition, I have no idea why you have a 14pt array that costs 10 points. I think that was just a hold over from an older edit. Now, combat wise, Jube here is currently PL 5.5 Offensively and PL 6 Defensively. That would make them weaker in a fight than every single PC on the boards. Period. Now how did I arrive at those numbers? Offensive caps (or PL) is calculated by taking the average of your character's Attack Bonus and their DC modifier (or Damage, or Rank of the Effect). In order to "hit caps" this average should equal your PL. You "break" caps (which is bad) if this average is higher than your PL. In this case, your character has a +10 attack and a +1 DC with their claws (I'm ignoring the Enhanced Strength for now because that whole Array needs lots of work). 10 + 1 = 11 / 2 = 5.5 Defensive caps is calculated by taking the average of your character's Defense Bonus and their Toughness Bonus. In this case +10 and +2, for an average of 6. You should also note, that because of Trade-offs, the maximum anyone of those 4 traits can be is 15 (or 5 + your PL). However, that also this must correspond to a decrease in the paired trait to avoid breaking caps. For example, my Speedster Dynamo is PL 13. He has a Defense Bonus of +18 and a Toughness bonus of +8 (under ideal circumstances). 18 +8 = 26 / 2 = 13. So he hits Defensive caps. It is strongly advised that all new comers ensure that they hit their caps for PL's 7 through 10, after that it doesn't matter too much. Veteran players can get away with under capping themselves because they have done so for an explicit reason and other aspects of the build make up for this deficiency.

Super. I'll wait until Quote gets a post up. I'm assuming someone's told him about this thread.

If it matters, taking a 20 on the Notice check for 37, and he's got Extended 2 on his vision. Doubt that'll do much in the woods, but ya never know.

Eli for his part was sprawled out on the ground, face down blades of grass stuck to his face. He lifted his head just an inch or two off the ground, cracking an eyeball to see what was going on. His only response was a long, drawn out sigh, as if he wanted nothing more than to go back to bed. After a moment he stirred, sitting himself up right. He was wearing a woolen set of trousers, and a disgustingly dark shade of green to boot. He had on a long sleeved dark brown tunic that looked like a definite hand me down, given the number of patches on it, which made an ironic looking lightning bolt shape on his chest, and the fact that it looked a little too big for Eli, going several inches past his fingers and down to his knees. He also had a straw hat with quite a few holes in it attached by a draw string dangling off his neck. A hat he would probably wear when he was what a world without gel had done to his hair. "The heck do you suppose they want?" he said standing up, craning his head to see if he could find a clear spot through the trees.

Pretty much what Cape said, then drop all of the Innate feats. Innate is something you put on an Elephant's Growth power. None of your powers qualify for innate. Mutants were "born that way" and even their mutant powers aren't Innate. I suggest dropping a few ranks of Attack & Defense, buying some ranks of the feats Attack Focus Melee and Dodge Focus. Super-Strength 7 with regular Strength 6 is a terrible, terrible idea. "I can lift a truck, but I hit like an 80 year old guy." Drop all 7 ranks of Super-Strength and put some of those points into Strength. And by some, I mean all. That way you get close to hitting offensive caps. You could probably stand to lose some/all of the Sure-footed power as well. Also: Don't use Super-Speed as written. Break it down into it's component parts. It makes everything much easier on you.

And Eli's jaw dropped. And all thought in Eli's head stopped. The world could not be so cruel and unfair. How does he always get the womens?! While Lynn had the good grace to look away and give them some privacy, Eli continued to look at them as if it was a train wreck. He couldn't even muster up a glare as Erik followed Talya out the door. Not that he hated Jack or anything, he just wanted Jack to know that he did in fact suck. Forgetting who exactly he was talking to for a moment, Eli asked Jill "Honestly, what does he have that I don't?"

Searching the city takes 1 day, which at rank 18 Quickness drops to 0.0864 seconds and taking a 20 on that takes 1.728 seconds, which can be performed in a round. Dynamo will case the city looking for clues, taking a 20 on Search and Notice checks, for a 23 and 37 respectively.
-
"Uh yeah dude. Don't mean to horn in or nothing, but casing the city looking for clues. It's kind of my deal." said Dynamo slowly. "And I'm sure the police have better thing to do than wander around the city looking for some vaguely defined clue. I've got nothing but time." added Dynamo. "So hold the fort for a sec, I'll see if I can get something to turn up." said Dynamo before he rocketed through the city streets, using one of his more common search patterns. Vince had made him run simulations of finding stuff inside the city, and even occasionally aboard. Things sort of fell into a pattern after the first couple of times he had done it.

Due to the changes you've made, Grapple is +10, +12 while boosted. Also, I don't see how your Defense can be increase when you're Boosted, so that line needs to be changed as well. For future reference, when you make the changes, also make a post saying "I've made the changes" and if it was a major edit, tell me how it was made. It just lets the Ref's know that it needs a further look see.

"Wait hold on." said Eli suddenly. He opened up the book, and pointed at the last page with text on it. "There was a sentence there just a moment ago. It vanished, like just now. It wasn't unwritten. It's being unwritten right now. It's an ongoing process." Eli paused for a moment to make sure everyone got the point. "This keeps up the story's gone for good. Now it could be that I've been watching too much TV and seen too many movies. But when something like this happens, it usually means that what we thought was a fairy tale was actually a documentation of real events in another realm. Weird yeah, but stranger things have happened." finished Eli hoping the rest of the room didn't look at him as if he was starting to lose it.
-
"Yeah.... about that. I sort of maybe kind of got a D in French. Not exactly my forte." said Eli sheepishly. "But that was before I got the powers. If I'm able to learn it now without difficulty, I will never stop kicking myself. I did however, transpose all of the data from the book into Vince's databank in the time it took you to slap your forehead." continued Eli with a grin. "It should be done buffering in a moment, and then the translation program can finish. I've been getting better with computers too. But I know how you guys get when I get all technical, so I'll spare you; this time." added Eli. "Oh, and sorry if I filled up a bunch of your RAM just then Vince. I should probably give you more of a warning next time huh?" chuckled Eli. Ah wait crap! I could have totally thrown in a cheesy one liner in there like 'It looks like, 8-) time's on our side. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH. Oh gawd I have got to stop watching so much TV...

Going to be really busy this weekend. My professor waited until today to give us more details about our final project. It's due Tuesday.

Dynamo just chuckled. "Anytime officer." he added with a smile and a nod. He was a lot more laid back than Iron Clad, or at least acting like it. "It probably would have been worse, but we got on scene pretty much as soon as he started acting out. I over heard it on a police scanner, and 'Clad here was in the midst of blasting him when I showed up on site. I got the crowd out while 'Clad here keep lead-for-brains busy." continued Dynamo as he brought the officer up to speed. "Before we smacked him down, he was going off on a rant about the "fat cats" keeping the lower class down or some such. Seemed intent on bringing that building down. Is that his usual MO?"

"Either that or they wanted to draw attention to the bits that were still there." pointed out Eli being the devil's advocate. He was trying to give Talya the benefit of the doubt, for purely professional reasons mind you, but Grim did have a good point, and Talya's history wasn't exactly doing her too many favors either. He did however lean closer so he could read the pages as Grim flipped through them. There wasn't much to read however; just as Tayla said, there were more than a few empty pages. He read what little there was and started running through the stories in his mind, trying to pick out themes or phrases. "Don't suppose you've got a photographic memory and can start filling in details from the blank pages?" asked Eli to Talya, knowing the answer was most likely in the negative.

The dishes done and put away Eli turned back to the group now that Fulcrum had joined them, drying his hands with a small pop of electricity, a little trick he had figured out while duking it out in a thunderstorm. Catching Ellie's eye, he just looked back at her wondering what she was on about. Well he certainly didn't want to be the only confused one, so he did the only logical thing: quickly made a doofy face, tongue sticking out an all, at her before resuming a normal posture as if nothing had happened. He had a lot of practice at this. For the first week he had his powers, he'd just make goofy faces at people he was talking to any time they blinked. But doing it long enough to be seen and registered by Ellie meant that everyone else at least had a chance to catch it out of the corner of their eye. Acting like he hadn't done anything, Eli took a seat at the table. "Anything fancy with the book itself or is this about what's inside?" asked Eli curiously, holding his hand out as if he'd like to see the book, but withdrawn enough to not seem as if demanding it.
