So about a half hour later I’m sitting in the back of a police car sporting a nice shiner, a welt on my left arm, a few good bruises on my back, and some Pirozhki in my stomach. So not really the greatest start to this trip all things considered. But hey I made some friends. So I’m being brought down to the station for processing (aka getting punched in the face a whole lot). Officer Yuri is up in the front seat driving obviously. A pretty sizeable guy, but it looks like he’s gone to seed a little, probably getting ready to retire soon. He’s been real quiet the whole time. The only thing he’s said to me is “watch your head†as he put me in the car. Remember that there are no Miranda rights in Russia. But about 10 minutes into our drive, I notice that Yuri keeps looking back at me in the rear view mirror. He’s been doing it the whole time; it’d be pretty irresponsible of him if he didn’t, but now he’s really just looking at me. Like he’s trying to get a measure on me, and not just making sure I’m not bleeding too much all over his back seat. But when he finally stops at a red light a few minutes later, he turns full around in his seat, looks right at me saying “Off the record, I would have loved to see you kick the **** out of those guys, they’ve been asking for it for years.â€

"I'll give the tour." said Eli raising his hand, but he put it down once he realized he wasn't in class. Some habits were really hard to break. "So I'd start with the living room if it was something more than a TV and couches, but as its not, come into the kitchen here." Eli lead Erin into the kitchen. You could tell Archeville had a hand in the technology as most of the appliances are top of the line. Plenty of counter and cabinet space, but much of that is in use as Eli appears to be in the process of cooking for about 12 people. "Chicken pot pie." comments Eli with a nod to the food simmering on the stove, he's just in the preparation stage from the looks of it. "We had to get a second fridge once me and Fulcrum joined up, and it's actually more for me than her." After that Eli took her upstairs and showed her the bed rooms and facilities. She was likely shocked to see a desk with actual work on it in Eli's room. In addition, it was immaculate, not a speck of dust anywhere. The rooms weren't much special, but they did look quite cozy. Eli made a quick comment here or there about some of the habits of the group, but there wasn't much to say. A quick trip back down the stairs and Eli lead Erin to the Underground. "And this is where all the cool stuff is. A bit more bare bones than same of the stuff you got up at Claremont, but it works pretty darn well. What would you like to see first?"

"You didn't use what you were given." answered Tempest simply. "While it is not windy here at the ground level due to the trees, the air is far more active at the higher elevations. Due to the fact that it is already as you humans would say, drizzling, all of the components necessary for snow are already there, just not in the appropriate mixture. As it is still very early in the morning, this area is relatively cold when compared to the areas east of here which are now only just getting the sun's rays." Tempest paused a moment to raise a highly detailed miniaturized version of the city out of the ground, which changed subtly to match Tempest's continued explanation. "This heating creates a difference a wind current, as well as evaporating the morning dew. By increasing the wind speed moderately and raising them temperature in this area, it will draw this front here more towards the east to replace the heated air that is rising. This will allow the colder air coming in off the bay and from the cold front to our north to move into this area. When these fronts meet, combined with the front that rose and moved west from the East after being heated and then cooled in the upper atmosphere, it creates a small localized snow storm, which lasts just a moment before the air masses are warmed by the masses off the city and return once again to drizzle." "From what I saw, you declared that this area should snow, and forced the air masses in this area to change to meet your needs. I just nudged one of the processes that was already occurring, and everything else fell into place. That is what I meant by fighting the order."

Abilities, good. Combat, Knockback is -6 not -5, I goofed when I said it was 5 earlier. Saves, good. Skills, good. Feats, good. Powers, You break caps with your Graviton Ray power. It has a +8 to hit and a +14 DC, making that power be PL 11 instead of 10. The Graviton Eruption likewise breaks caps (as I'm assuming its a General Area of effect because you did not denote otherwise). General Area effects are capped at your PL regardless of Trade-offs. This attack would not break caps if it was a Targetted Area effect. In case you are not aware of the difference, let me explain. A General Area effect is the standard "Roll a Reflex save for half damage" from the D&D days. It automatically hits everything in the area, but those within the area have a chance to get out of the way. Targeted Area effects on the other hand require an attack roll from the user in order to hit the targets. One attack is made for all targets, which is compared to the defense of all applicable Targets. If they are hit, they must save at the full Rank. If the attack misses, they do not have to save at all. A Targeted Area effect (unlike a General Area) can benefit from the Trade-off feats such as Power Attack because it requires an attack roll from the user.

Abilities, good. Combat, Your attack line is off; you do not have any power with the Accurate Power Feat. Your Knockback is -5 with your Force Field. Saves, You've only spent 18 points here, not 20. Your Force Field is not Impervious. Skills, You have 69 ranks currently. Feats, good. Powers, On your Gravity Control Power, Selective would be an Extra, not a power feat. Again, none of your powers have Accurate and your Force Field is not Impervious.

Abilities, INT, WIS & CHA have a +1 modifier not a +2. Combat, Initiative is +2 not +3. Saves, good. Skills, Knowledge History & Business are off. Feats, good. Powers, One quick formatting issue: the device line itself should be out of the quote box.- 6 replies

"Hey what's with all the racket?" called Eli from his usual hide out: the kitchen. After hearing a few pots and pans clatter about, Eli stuck his head into the room seeing Wander and most of the Interceptors gathered around in costume, in stark contrast to his civies. "Hey, long time no see!" called Eli cheerfully to Erin. "Be with you in just a sec, gotta make sure I don't burn this." Eli stirred everything a bit, lowered it down to a slow simmer and washed his hands before walking back into the common room. He hung back a bit because it looked like Wander was getting a little swarmed at the moment.

Remember how I said it’s been a long while since I’ve gone back to my basics? Turns out getting into bar fights is just like riding a bike. Only with more punching. Now before everyone gets all uppity about a super-hero getting into a bar room brawl with a bunch of drunkards, I got two things to point out to you. Firstly, some of a super hero’s best work is done in horribly seedy bars with a great number of unsavory types. Secondly, they started it. But I’m nothing if not sporting, so I be the nice guy and tone my strength way down, and I don’t even hulk out or nothing. Now don’t get me wrong, this is the equivalent of getting into a bare knuckled brawl with a professional boxer. It’s still a pretty fair fight because they’re bringing out the brass knuckles. Yeah it’s old school, but this is Russia. You piss somebody off here, they’ll break your nose. There are few things I miss about this place, but that is a mentality I wish the Americans had. They’re too PC. Too worried about offending them to give them a nice solid thump.

I'm hesitant to do that because that will remove any semblance of offense that Seraph has.

Just a quick edit for Atlas. Swap out his old pic with this one please. [img=http://www.freedomplaybypost.com/wiki/images/5/50/Atlas_2.jpg] Doktor'd (FWIW, I preferred the older pic)

Tempest just cocked his head to the side at Equinox's little display of magic. He sat like that for what felt like ages, he didn't make a comment on anything or even ask any questions. He was just lost in thought. If you didn't know better, it would have been safe to assume that he had just fallen asleep. Finally he broke his silence "You found that task difficult did you not?" questioned Tempest seemingly already knowing the answer. "My analysis of the process you used to generate the desired effect is non existant, I am merely able to observe the change in the systems themselves. I can see the effects, not the cause as it were." said Tempest as a disclaimer before giving his insight. "From my perspective, it seems you are focusing too much of your energy on achieving the desired result. You are not paying enough attention to the journey as it were. You are fighting the natural order rather than simply guiding it to a desired end."

Okay, Malice is out numbered 4 to 1, not including Phalanx who's gonna be locking down the big Robot, all the bombs are defused and he's cut off from the world by being a couple hundred feet down in what essentially is a giant bunker. We're gonna call this one a wash.

"Huh... I'll be damned. He did. Kudos." said Eric actually sounding rather impressed. "Well, we're completely hosed here. I give. I'd rather not get a concussion today thank you very much." he admits as he sets down. After hitting a button on his arm, the giant robot stops flailing about in its tussle with Phalanx. The armor begins to power down as is it steadily folds away revealing the man beneath the armor. "Oh, so now you're all going to look at me like I'm crazy? Threatening a building full of people to achieve some vaguely defined villainous plot is completely understandable behavior, but surrendering before you get punched in the face apparently crosses the line." Eric continues his rant, mostly to himself as he gets out of his armor, his appearance has changed quite a bit since the last time he was seen. His hair is a bit longer and a fair bit more dull, he's added a full beard as well. Of course the detail everyone is paying attention to is the robotic arm at his shoulder. In comparison to his armor, the technology that comprises his arm looks incredible thrown together and half-assed. The scientists in the room know he's capable of better; it's just as if he never put his mind to it. "So anyways, now that my armor's down, the system should be restoring itself and the panic rooms will be unlocking. Oh and Doc, to answer your question; I've been out for, cripes, I think it's got to be 7 months already." says Eric once he's fully removed himself from the armor. The armor itself is now folding itself up into an attache case.

"D'awww." says Eli pouring on the sap, any frustration he had towards Jack had just evaporated. "Does that mean that you wuv us Jack, err Enrique, not wait, James, not uhh.. Erik yeah. That's right right? ... Shaddup, names are hard." says Eli a little flustered. Eli peeled off his own mask, though his face was red enough that it didn't make an immediate difference. "Seriously, you're gonna be Jack and Jill for like another 3 weeks, easy." reinforced Eli with a weak shrug of his shoulders. "Anyways, back to the matter at hand: hurray! We're all family like now! And you know what that means? Taser Nuggies!" says Eli cackling as some electricity playfully balls up in his fist.
-
"Ah yes, I do seem to have trouble grasping these, names? you humans seem to have such an affinity for. It is one of the many aspects of human culture that I am still attempting to grasp fully Equinox human. It is something I hope to refine with further human interaction." explained Tempest casually. Tempest's eyes flare momentarily and a few moments later, a small dusting of snow descends from the sky as the temperature take a dip. "Would you classify this as magic Equinox human? And if so, what qualities about this drew you to this conclusion?" said Tempest, obviously listening intently to Equinox's answer. As far as Equinox could tell, the "storm" was incredibly small in area and as the moments passed, the area heated up back to its prior temperature.
-
Eli let out a pained groan as he stamped his feet and spazzed his arms out a bit like he just wanted to shake Jack. "ARRrrrrgggghhh. Dude, not a story you condense into a short version. 'Our dad came back, the first villain you ever fought was involved, big turf war throw down, a guy died, sister got powers, ta-dah!' doesn't really do a story that could be made into a graphic novel justice man. You totally just broke like, every rule of drama, and then made some more up just to break them. And then you cap the story off with "Oh, there's something else too." after just casually dropping a half dozen bombs. Just - ragggghhh!" exclaims Eli raggedly as he practically starts pulling his hair out.
-
"Greetings Siobhan Drake Equinox human." replied Tempest with a nod. He paused for a moment to contemplate his words. "I am unfamiliar with the principals governing what you humans refer to as magic. The feats of "magic" that I utilize are as natural and intuitive as breathing from my own perspective. But perhaps that is what I can offer you Siobhan Drake Equinox human; perspective." Tempest continued explaining "I am more acutely attuned to the ebb and flow of energy and life than many humans are. If you so wish, I may be able to expand upon your own knowledge in these fields. Without knowledge of how magic works however, I will be unable to guide you to the proper application of this knowledge. Though as one of your philosopher humans has said "the pursuit of knowledge is its own reward."

And Vince was right. The words had barely left Vince's mouth, when Eli popped into the room, a few residual arcs of electricity on the stairs giving any indication where he had come from. He was decked out in full uniform, having been on patrol/out for a run at the time the call had gone out. As usual, his appearance also lead to a whiff of ozone playing in the air. "Hey! Just got the call what's the -" Eli abruptly stopped once he registered that there were 3 people in the room. Eli had a terrible poker face when it came to things that surprised him. He was ordinarily so hyper that anything that made him skip a beat became quite pronounced. Well, he didn't just skip a beat, he flat lined. Instantly millions of questions started exploding in his mind, not one of which made it through the impregnable "Quiet time Zippy" filter. So for once, Eli kept his mouth shut, crossed his arms and waited for the others to get here. He tapped his foot anxiously, and for the most part kept his eyes on the staircase, only occasionally glancing back to the others.

It wasn't long before Siobhan felt a presence approaching from her right. Tempest was an elemental creature unlike any other. He was of the elements, a part of them, and yet, somehow above them as well. He made his way through the trees, both he walking around them, and the trees seeming to move out of his way of their own volition. Regardless of what he did, his eyes never left Siobhan. He was drawn to her like a moth to a flame. She was different from anything else he had felt before. It felt like she was calling him, what could this mean? He stopped a couple of feet away from Siobhan, taking a moment to really study her. "I offer you my greetings human." It was always best to start with formalities. "It is my assumption that you already know of me. Therefore it is my understanding that being the unknown party, you should be the one initiate the conversation once the greetings have been completed." Although he said this quite matter of factly, Siobhan could sense a touch of nervousness and hesitancy in his voice at the end.

Ok, the only thing stopping me from giving you an approval is that fact that your offense is still pretty darn lack luster, in that you have no appreciable way to really stop a bad guy, just delay them for a while by making them blind/deaf. So long as you're aware of that, I'll give it an approval.
