  1. "Can I never not be totally awesome?" asked Eli rhetorically. Immediately after saying that, he turned straight at Jack, pointing at him "Shush. And a preemptive one at that." After deflecting the comeback, Eli takes the gifts down stairs, being far more gentle than he would otherwise be, but damaging anything in the box would be all kinds of bad juju. He dumped off the items in the Underground after a moment's direction from Vince before darting right back upstairs. A sudden neon white streak darted across the lawn, as Eli sprinted across the lawn (at slightly above average human running speed) peeling off his shift as he went, his shoes already having gone missing. "Done waiting!" he called out mid air as he leapt unceremoniously into the pool. His head popping back out the water he called out "Water's fine!" Eli however proved to be a little quicker than he let on; there was a gift wrapped box by Grim's hammock. Eli had made her a photo album. It is filled with 2 page, panoramic spreads of various famous cities and national landmarks from all over the world, take from high heights in most instances. The image on the right page is during sunrise, and the picture on the left is taken at sun set. Each picture "facing" the sun, so it creates a sort of 360 degree image of all of these landmarks, throw into sharp relief by the sun's rays.
  2. The Grue's taunting stopped for a moment as the golden hammer hit home with a statisfying "ooph" issuing from the Grue in question however. His attempts at escape were naught, and in a moment Gossamer had him held fast. However, when dealing with a hive mind, they infuriating always had another voice to speak with. "Yes, because the Grue are known throughout the universe for being unchanging." taunts the other elastic Grue as it needlessly warps its extended limbs in a strange pattern before lashing out at Gossamer in a weird Capeoria-style attack. The brusier type Grue for their part, set about wrecking the place, clapping their hands together, creating massive shockwaves that tear through computers, desks and walls, spraying the area with shrapnel.
  3. Lasher 1 Toughness save vs Gossamer PA, DC 30 (1d20+8=28) Bruised. The grapple check is unbeatable. 16 - Gossamer - Bruised - HP x 3 14 - Bruisers (2) - Unharmed 14 - Lasher 2 - Unharmed 14 - Lasher 1 - Bruised, Pinned by Gossamer 14 - Wraith - Unharmed 11 - Dr. Archeville - Unharmed, HP x6, Will be fatigued at the start of turn unless a HP is spent 10 - Ace Danger - Unharmed, HP x5 Ok, Bruiser 1 is going to use Shockwave, taking out most of the desks and computers in the room. Ace is within the AoE, so DC 25 Toughness please, DC 20 Reflex save for half damage. Bruiser 2 does likewise with the other side of the room, but because he doesn't want to hit the other Grue, it won't hit anyone of import. It does however collapse the hallway Doc went down, putting a bunch of rubble in the way. The other Lasher is going to try and punch Gossamer in the facial region. Lasher 2 Attack roll vs Gossamer DEF 14, DC 30 Tough (1d20+5=19) (As Gossamer doesn't have Grappling Finesse, she's flat footed against foes she's not grappling) OK, if Gossamer is stunned by that attack, she won't be able to maintain the grapple on the second guy. In such a case, he'll also attack Gossamer as well: Lasher 1 Attack roll vs Gossamer, DC 30 Tough; Option 1 (1d20+5=7) Swing and a miss. If Gossamer was not stunned by the first attack against her, the grappled Lasher will attempt to escape. Lasher 1 Escape vs Gossamer; Option 2 (1d20+23=41) And lastly, the active Wraith with continue doing its thing.
  4. Sadly no, the Mimic is flying about 20 ft. off the ground at the moment.
  5. OK, I didn't know that because you didn't post the first roll.
  6. AA, the DC's on the attack are 26 and 31 respectively as far as I can tell. Strike 4 + 7 Mighty, and +5 Power Attack for the latter attack. In addition, I've talked to you numerous times about the proper roll formatting. The next time you don't use them properly, I'll ignore your actions for the round and effectively skip your turn. I'm also curious as to why your OOC post says you spent 2 Hero Points and not 1. Lancer Toughness save vs Freedom Angel Attack DC 26 (1d20+10=23) 54 - Zephyr - Unharmed - HP x2 18 - Sage - Unharmed - HP x1 13 - Grue Lancer - Unharmed 13 - Freedom Angel - Unharmed - HP x4 9 - Robin Cross - Unharmed - HP x2 2 - Fluer - Unharmed - HP x5
  7. The civilian gave Robin a strange cock-eyed look. "Listen toots, I ain't gotta take this from you. If we're being attacked why are you down here lecturin' me huh? Ain't you got nothing better to do? And I'll have you know, you ain't got no right to butt in to how a guy treats his store. Now if you'll excuse me, I got to go run for my life cuz I ain't got no powers to pull my butt out of the fire." says the guy as he turns away from Robin, unaware of what he just let slip. The Grue attacker hissed as Freedom Angel's blade hit home, cutting a gash across its chest. "The Unity is one. We are closer than any family you could ever know."
  8. Includes MP bonuses; Fiat Reroll (1d20+15=32)
  9. A hiss of steam is suddenly released as the giant blast door begins to slowly creak open. Framed in the door way is none other than Eric Micheals, aka Malice. His so called "Mantle of Freedom" has under gone a radical change since his last appearance. Most notable of all is the right arm is now a massive cannon that extends past his head and goes down nearly to his knee. Next to the sleek design of the rest of the suit, it looks especially ugly. The armor itself is now semi translucent, almost like very dark stained glass. "I thought a lot of things about you over the years Arrowhawk. Most of them actually pretty good. See I respect what you've done. You use, for all intents and purposes, a fancy stick thrower to fight some of the powerful and deranged forces known to man. You're doing it because you believe it to be right, not because it is easy. That is an admirable quality I wish more people shared. But that simply makes what you just did all the more despicable. To taunt me with information about that day, when you yourself haven't acted on it, is a moral failing on a magnitude I cannot comprehend. You are no hero, and your status as a human being is in question." His piece said, Malice levels off his cannon at Arrowhawk and fires a completely clear beam that can still be clearly seen by how much it shakes the air. Anything the beam hits is torn apart, molecule by molecule.
  10. (10:25:33) Geez3r looks over Malice's weapons array (10:25:43) Geez3r: Oh how I missed you. (10:26:48) Geez3r: Ok, so we're clear on the actions. We've figured out: Fiat the door open, Move to get into position and Standard to blow stuff up. Correct? (10:27:41) Geez3r: Oh. Almost forgot, Master Plan. (10:29:47) Geez3r: *pokes quote* (10:31:25) ChatBot: Ecalsneerg logs into the Chat. (10:31:28) quotemyname: oh riiight (10:31:46) quotemyname: Yea, that's good, Geez3r. Sorry, I was looking over the DB schema (10:32:02) quotemyname: The master plan rolls shouldn't count against your actions. (10:32:19) quotemyname: over A db schema, not the one for the site, I correct myself. (10:32:28) Geez3r: http://www.freedomplaybypost.com/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=3323#p68935 (10:32:45) Ecalsneerg: Master Plan technically takes like 10 minutes (10:32:58) Geez3r: that roll was 4 months ago (10:33:42) Ecalsneerg: ... Malice is thorough (10:34:01) quotemyname: heh
  11. The save was only DC 25 Heritage. That's a bruise on the first save and no damage on the second save. Are you sure you really wanted to use a HP on that?
  12. That attack will miss. Wolfman will delay until such a time that he is no longer floating in the air all helpless like. Dead Head's up.
  13. We'll say that whoever was at the desk previously was about to issue a similar proclamation so Ace gets through the network just fine. Gossamer's up.
  14. Nope, not high enough.
  15. "Ze police has enough problems. I saw ze place as my own home. You defend your home. I vas done being afraid." explained Samael simply. "In Russia, most of ze cops vere good people, but zere hands vere tied by ze state. Zere vere ze bad ones of course, but zey vere ze exception. Most of ze cops had it just as bad as ze rest of us." said Samael with a shrug. "No I don't zink zat I vould go back. Zis is my home now. And zere are too many bad feelings vith zat place. It is not my fight anymore."

    Meltdown (IC)

The Grue then joined the battle. The Golem-like grue rushed Valkyrie, flanking her from the left and right with heavy blows. The Lashers attacked their old foe, the Scarab, with heavy maces on the ends of their whip like limbs. Lastly, the amorphous Grue attacked the retreating Aiko, hoping to contain the heroes to a certain sector of the facility at the very least. They seemed not to notice the movements of Avenger.

  19. Roll a Notice check to see if you actually know where Orion is. As Orion was using the Stealth skill and his weapon was silenced.

  22. The man with the former molotov sort of glares at Robin for a moment before sulking off, mumbling "Yeah whatever." under his breath. He pulled out the slightly charred rag from the mouth of the bottle, sniffed the booze contained within before taking a swig. Robin had sent him packing, and he wasn't exactly thrilled about it. Elsewhere, Eve's investigation was... progression. "Mommy's pretty. And alll the clothes she's got are pretty too." and so forth. However, the children's minds are a bit more informative. They don't know her name, they just call her 'Mom' or 'Mommy'. She's about average height, bobbed red hair, thick framed glasses and slightly above the average weight. Now that Sage knows what to look for, she manages to pick out her out as she darts into a side alley with a heavy set man, your probings have identified as the children's dad. They do seem to be looking around though, but it looks like they're making sure anyone isn't watching them rather than looking for someone themselves. Back on terra-firma, the jumper looks whistfully up at the sky as Freedom Angel poses his question. "I want to be the one that made an angel bleed!" shouts the man as his arm contorts into a blade, plunging it straight towards Freedom Angel's chest.
  23. A Trailer, they has it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2lGTfK4PmPw
  24. You actually have 5 points in Feats, not 6. And for your powers you can split up the Linked ones to make it a bit easier on the eyes. Example: Growth 12 LINKED Enhanced Feats LINKED Impervious Toughness It'll just make it easier as things get added to the character.
