  1. Eli came out of his slump. They may be strange company, but they were good company. If he was to do any sort of good in this world, he would need to start having a higher opinion of himself. He could do this, he just needed to try. Figuring that Grim's past was a good enough place to get started on figuring out the hero circle as any, he followed her over to the immortals. He gave Archeville a wave, but didn't bother the good Doctor beyond that; he had glompings to deal with. He looked over Grim's shoulder, where his pupils started shaking. Those who knew him took it as a sign he was reading at super speed. As if there wasn't already enough super history here I didn't understand. They need start to handing out pamphlets for this sort of thing. "Where is this store anyways? And what kind of store is it?" asked Dynamo, his curiosity shockingly outweighing his social graces.
  2. ...Which zap fried the ever living crap out of it. It lost consciousness in mid-stride, so it barreled into the opposing wall at full speed, leaving a rather large dent and making a very satisfying *THUNK* at echoed off the otherwise empty hall. The creature's form returned to the natural Grue humanoid shape now that the alien was no longer maintaining the taken form. Dr. Archeville was left floating next to an unconscious hostile alien, a super high tech computer mainframe with unfettered access to nearly everything, and not a witness in sight. Decisions, decisions.
  3. Wraith Toughness save vs Doc Lightning DC 30 (1d20+8=13) Crispy Critter. 16 - Gossamer - Unharmed - HP x 3 14 - Bruisers (2) - Unharmed 14 - Lashers (2) - Unharmed 14 - Wraiths (1) - Unharmed 11 - Dr. Archeville - Unharmed, HP x6, Will be fatigued at the start of turn unless a HP is spent 10 - Ace Danger - Unharmed, HP x6
  4. Nexus proved to be just as powerful as they feared, as he proved as difficult to harm as Dark Star himself, as Sarah Prescott's blade did little more than slide off his skin. Nexus did little more than shake his head at the form of the retreating Prescott. But while all eyes were on Nexus, someone with more sinister motives was sizing up the heroes looking for a potential target. Orion the Hunter braced the weapon with practiced skill and took aim at the teen hero who was otherwise occupied distracting Nexus. No stupid one liners were given, Orion just exhaled and pulled the trigger, he was a professional after all.
  5. Only the first attack hits because I noticed that the current Mimic selection is breaking caps. Nexus is currently PL 17 Defensively, so we're gonna go ahead and tone that down to where it should be. Nexus Toughness save vs Prescott Slash DC 30 (1d20+17=31) In the meantime, Orion has found himself a high powered rifle. And it looks like Breakdown might be slowing down the prisoner's big gun. Can't have that. Breakdown would ordinarily get a Notice check to see Orion, but he can't pass the DC even before I figure out the range penalties. He is therefore surprised by this attack. Orion snipe vs Breakdown, PA 5, DC 27 Toughness (1d20+10=16) Unless I'm mistaken that does hit a surprised Breakdown. 29 - Arrowhawk - Unharmed - HP x2 27 - Kung Fu Killer - Unharmed 26 - Breakdown - Unharmed - HP x6, Will be fatigued at start of turn unless they spend a HP, AoA 5 25 - Sarah Prescott - Unharmed - HP x1, AoA 5 24 - Orion - Unharmed 21 - Slipstream - Unharmed - HP x1 20 - Savage-Man Beast - Unharmed, Rage 1, Floating 14 - Dead Head - Unharmed - HP x2 10 - Mongrel Angel - Unharmed - HP x7, Will be fatigued at start of turn unless they spend a HP, AoA 5 9 - Mignight II - Unharmed - HP x1 8 - White Knight - Unharmed, AoA 5 5 - Rant - Unharmed, Floating 6 - Dark Star - Unharmed - HP x5 3 - UM - Unharmed
  6. I'm not going to be online on Monday and Tuesday. I'm starting up the MBA program, and I'll be in class all day. Depending on the course work involved, my overall involvement here could drop as well.
  7. Taken a step back at the Alt!Jack's sudden appearance, Atlas was unable to react to the suddent attack. He was however willing to rememdy that with extreme prejudice. In just a moment, Atlas had bulked up and took a swat at the vampire. He proved too nimble however, but it did provide the opprotunity to get him with the other hand. He then began to even squeeze the ever loving crap out of the guy. "I can tell you where you're not. Safe."
  8. Nexus Will save vs Nullify DC 28 (1d20+11=23) And the Mimic'd Music Mastery is gone. 29 - Arrowhawk - Unharmed - HP x2 27 - Kung Fu Killer - Unharmed 26 - Breakdown - Bruised x1 - HP x6, Will be fatigued at start of turn unless they spend a HP, AoA 5 25 - Sarah Prescott - Unharmed - HP x2 24 - Orion - Unharmed 21 - Slipstream - Unharmed - HP x1 20 - Savage-Man Beast - Unharmed, Rage 1, Floating 14 - Dead Head - Unharmed - HP x2 10 - Mongrel Angel - Unharmed - HP x7, Will be fatigued at start of turn unless they spend a HP, AoA 5 9 - Mignight II - Unharmed - HP x1 8 - White Knight - Unharmed, AoA 5 5 - Rant - Unharmed, Floating 6 - Dark Star - Unharmed - HP x5 3 UM - Unharmed

  10. LOL. How long have you been waiting to use that one?
  11. Will save to oppose Arrowhawk's Trick, DC 32 (1d20+12=21)
  12. You catch up as a Move Action. You also note it seems to be heading towards the main frame if the signs on the wall are any indication (there weren't any in the main chamber btw).
  13. They are indeed going around corners. Roll me the better of your Acrobatics or Notice. Acrobatics to better perform high speed turns and allow you to search more of the area; and Notice to pick up on clues as to which direction the Wraith went.
  14. "Vell for ze first years I vas doing vhatever job I could get. I vas busboy, cab driver, sewer cleaner, nozing too pretty I assure you. But eventually I got a job vorking at a deli. Long hours, but good vork. I vorked zere, vhile living in ze apartment above. I vorked zere for nearly 4 or 5 years before ze old man retired and he gave me ze store to run. But in zat time, and in ze years zat followed, I cam to see zat area as my home. But I also saw how many criminals called zat place home; it vas in ze Fens." explained Samael pausing for a moment to let Vivian's hand catch up and to eat a few more spoonfuls of ice cream. "Now I did not care for zose types, so I started to drive zem off. But vhen you push zem, zey vill eventually push back. A few of zem ambushed me vith guns in a back alley one day. I died. I got back up as Atlas." finished Samael simply.
  15. The heroes had them on the run, in short order, the hospital would be safe and the enemies routed. From there the heroes could focus on the larger threats at hand and even track down and confront Atlas. All around it was all going swimmingly. And then the corner of the hospital about 4 floors down from the roof exploded violently. Alarms began blaring instantly, as did the screaming of the civilians within the hospital. A quick glance reveals two surprising facts: the explosion occured from inside, and two, there was no fire nor scorch marks around the area, or even smoke. Someone did this by hand.

Ravenger Toughness save vs Pitchoo Barrage, DC 27 (1d20+10=16) Disrupted, Shaken, Disabled There are slightly more Stalkers than Ravengers at this point, so Colt's attack goes after the Stalkers. Stalker Toughness save vs Colt Boom, DC 34 (1d20+7=21) Disabled again, so they're gone. Ravenger Toughness save vs Colt Boom, DC 34 (1d20+9=29) Disrupted. Nyeh, nyeh. ----- Now it looks like things are going good for our heroes, can't let that stand now can I? Now if only there was some way to attack the heroes from the inside. If only the facility they were guarding is regularly bringing people in without much question, and if only some of the main antagonists could disguise themselves somehow.... So I need to make a IC post after quote. 26 - Jack of All Blades - Unharmed - HP x4 23 - Behemoth 3 - Unharmed - 480ft away from hospital 23 - Behemoth 2 - Bruised x2, Stunned Until 8 - 480ft away from hospital 23 - Behemoth 1 - Bruised x3, Stunned until 14 (Wander) - 480ft away from hospital 21 - Geckoman - Unharmed - HP x2 - +5 Inspire until 14 20 - Colt - Unharmed - HP x7 - Will be fatigued at the start of turn unless he spends a HP Surprise!!! - Unharmed 20 - Hellion - Unharmed - HP x3, +5 Inspire to 14 17 Ravenger - Disruptedx4, Shaken, Disabled - 480ft from hospital 14 - Grimlakin - Unharmed - HP x5 - 14 - Edge - Unharmed - HP x6, Will be fatigued at the start of turn unless he spends a HP 14 - Wander - Unharmed - HP x5, +5 Inspire until 14 8 - Phalanx - Bruised x1 - HP x6 - +5 Inspire to 14 8 - Sparksmith - Unharmed - HP x1 - +5 Inspire to 14 6 - Fulcrum - Bruised x2 - HP x3 - +5 Inspire to 14, will be fatigued at Start of turn unless she spends a HP

    Meltdown (OOC)

They did act, they Shapeshifted remember?
  18. Eli kind of went all deer in a headlights for a moment there. A few bombs had just gotten dropped. Time slowed down as Eli needed some alone time to start processing everything. He remembered reading the newspaper with Tayla's name, meaning she was Bombshell and Elena was Scarab. It had finally sunk into Eli's rather thick skull who exactly he was sharing this little back yard birthday BBQ with. To say he felt like the odd man out was a bit of an understatement. Not finding an easy solution, Eli leaned up against a tree, his mind racing, while outwardly, Eli was just zoning out.
  19. Other than more of the top secret government facility, not really.
  20. The Grue agent side stepped Gossamer's attack with its unnatural body elongating and contorting out of the way. The other Grue took their own forms, 2 of which looked like rock golems, 2 more looked like strange jungle cats and the last one took on a similar form to the Grue that Gossamer attacked. It was this last Grue that radically enlarged its limbs before brining them crashing down on the AEGIS agents throughout the entire. In a well coordinated move, the 2 cat like Grue also used the opening to scatter into opposing hallways at a rather high speed. As the lashing Grue landed, the golems went into action. The first smashed the wall around the exit they had been guarding a moment ago, while the second barrelled into Director Powers, forcing him to collide bodily with the wall opposite, where he collapsed in a heap. "Now what was that you were saying about there being many of you? Such a primitive way of thinking is it not little girl?" The Grue's fist transformed into a mace before slinging it at Gossamer's head.

  22. That reminds me Director Powers Initiative (1d20+5=20) We'll say he was holding his action. Hrmm, never said what forms they had taken. We'll say 2 Bruisers, 2 Lashers and 2 Wraiths. Target of Goss' attack 1,2 bruiser, 3-4 lasher, 5-6 Wraith (1d6=3) That's a lasher, which makes that attack a miss. OK, they're up. The 2 Wraiths split off from the pack and dart down opposite hallways at high speeds. The Lasher Gossamer didn't attack is going to use a combination of Elongation, Takedown Attack 2 and the Minion rules to knock out everyone that doesn't have a name. The Lasher that Goss did attack is going to retaliate. Lasher Atk roll vs Gossamer, DC 25 Toughness (1d20+10=27) One of the Bruisers is going to smash the crap out of the exit they're guarding, blocking it off. The other is going to bum rush Powers. Bruiser Charge atk roll vs Powers, DC 27 on a hit (1d20+10=23) that's a hit Powers Toughness save DC 27 (1d20+6=7) *snerk* 16 - Gossamer - Unharmed - HP x 3 14 - Bruisers (2) - Unharmed 14 - Lashers (2) - Unharmed 14 - Wraiths (2) - Unharmed 11 - Dr. Archeville - Unharmed, HP x6 10 - Ace Danger - Unharmed, HP x6
