  1. "Yeah, Doc's got some sort of super DDR thing hooked up for us. I got two left feet though, as Grim so constantly reminds me. But just between you and me, if you ever mention some sort of freaky super cannon thing in front of Doc, he gets this weird gleam in his eye, just for a moment. Doc's good people, don't get me wrong, but he's wound pretty tight. Anywho, I'm going to have to get going. And again, I'm sorry I was such a jerk."
  2. Samael reached out across the table slowly and deliberately, and poked Vivian in the forehead. "I did not tell you zat story so you vould stop, but so you could continue. Your questions do not have context. Ze history of Russia is not a fictional story you can forget about; people lived it. Ze people you vill be talking to specifically. You are too focused on ze questions and not ze answers. Look deeper, and zink harder." encouraged Samael, his face warming again.
  3. Samael leveled his eyes at Vivian, and spoke in a flat voice. "All of my grandparents vere dead before I vas ever born. My parents vere outspoken against Stalin; zey disappeared one day, never to be seen again. Zey are no longer found in any documentation of any kind, likevise for any photography. Stalin vas very good at making people disappear. Ze only hint zat zey ever existed is sitting opposite you right now. And even zat is not full proof, Samael Nitorvich is not my given name; Stanislav Polyakov is. After my parents disappeared, ze state saw fit to change my name. I use Samael out of habit, and it is ze only vay I could get a passport to get into ze country. Vhen I arrived here, I had the shirt on my back, an address vhere I could get some vork and $5.32 to my name. My conscience vas all I had."
  4. Looks like an error. it should be 20.
  5. Finished with his first burger, and Moira distracted, Eli went to kill two birds with one stone: introducing himself to the rest of the guests and getting seconds. "Excuse me for a moment." said Eli to Stesha and Derrick "I'm going to go say hi to everyone else, and get some more snackums. A real pleasure meeting you." Flashing a smile to Grim and Colt as he passed them, Eli made his way over to Ace, Elena and Tayla. "Hello again Ace. And who may these lovely ladies be? I'm Eli." he said extending his hand to Elena and Tayla. Eli had to admit, those lessons with Vince were really paying off. Vince was worried about the Interceptors image, so he wanted Eli to start talking more presentable like for all the cameras and to the other heroes. So far he had only allowed himself one brosef and dude a piece. Quite an accomplishment really.
  6. I'd have Mickey Rourke play Atlas. Well, he'd play Samael, there'd have to be CGI for Atlas. And Vince Offer for Dynamo, with a healthy dash of the Scout from TF2.
  7. You couldn't read the expression on Nexus' face all that well, but you could tell he was scowling as gravatic energy began to gather in his hands. Yeah, this was probably gonna hurt. But Arrowhawk had other concerns at the immediate moment. Breaking off his pursuit the Kung Fu Killer springs after Arrowhawk and tries to snatch his bow away from him, but Arrowhawk is canny enough to see his shadow approaching, foiling the villain's sneak attack. "You are brave to draw his attention away from your friends, but do us a favor, do it in a way that won't piss him off huh? Who do you think he's going to start pounding after he is finished with the likes of you? Now think; how do we stop him?"

  9. In the courtyard, Fulcrum streaks towards her target. The beast loses sight of her as she performs her rapid aerobatics. Flying in low, she finds her target and hammers him repeatedly. But somehow, the beast weathered the assault before it counters with thunderous force. The other side of the hospital plays lightning to the display of thunder. Lightning washes over the charging creatures, and many fall, yet many more remain. The large behemoths move to attack their assailants, clawing, biting and lashing out at them in any way they can.

    No Mercy (OOC)

Well I only noticed now that Darius has already been gone a week, so we're going to soldier on without him for the time being. 11. "Could be vorse, all zings considered." said after a moment's contemplation. Realizing he was going to need to explain himself he reiterated "He is distracted and vithout much back up, it vill be easier to take him down and replace him zis vay. As opposed to if he vas in a room vith Taylor and zis Anya person as vell. Do you know who zis Anya is by chance? I know everyone else already."
  12. Exactly what quote said.
  13. You are looking at the old section quote. I realized my error when I over allocated. That has since been corrected. And yes, I do have everything that the character mimiced in one spot, visible to all of you. And Nyrath has it mostly right. I tweaked that character by like 10 points give or take.
  14. Some people are saying that the Interceptors are unpracticed and unruly. To that I have this to say: duh! The Interceptors is a training ground for those of us who didn't have our childhood to get used to having powers, dealing with super villains and everything else that goes along with it. I remember I line from when Grim snooped around Claremont for info. She was blown away by both the power level of the kids and the fact that they were still kids. The average age of the Interceptors is 22. That's the age when college students are just stepping out into the world for the first time. But the difference between the Interceptors and the other groups is that we don't have that experience from years of tutelage. Young Freedom is housed at Claremont where young kids spend their formative years learning and experimenting with their powers, surrounded by those who care for and understand them. They've got a massive budget and plenty of facilities to learn in, and are expected, even encouraged to make mistakes. Think about it, how many X-Men have had difficulty controlling their powers at one point or another? The Knights of Freedom on the other hand was a group of established heroes. They all had their own style down pat, but kept each other in the loop to pool their own collective resources so that they may battle evil more efficiently and grander scale. In a way, it was pretty much the same as the Freedom League or Justice League. And right in between those two categories falls the Interceptors. We don't have the funding, we don't have the facilities, we don't have the massive support networks and we don't have the experience that any of the other teams have. But what we do have is each other and a drive to better ourselves. He need to heavily lean on one another because we're going through this all together, without much help from anyone else. We're helping each other take those first couple of steps into the real world. The legacy of the Interceptors isn't the Interceptors at all. It's where the former members end up. The Interceptors will be the great heroes of the future. We trust in our teammates and set out to do good. Take it or leave it. Say whatever you want, but I think the Interceptors are exactly the kind of group this setting needs.

  16. Not as far as I'm aware, why?
  17. 16 - Gossamer - Unharmed - HP x 3 Grue Initiative (1d20+6=14) 11 - Dr. Archeville - Unharmed, HP x6 10 - Ace Danger - Unharmed, HP x6 You each got a HP for Fiat.
  18. Dark Star was as awe inspiring as always. He took out most of the no names in one fell swoop, and about half of the big names too. Quite a fair showing. Prisoners were still leaking out of the facility, but in between the inverse gravity and the prisoners rushing back in, they didn't make much head way. That was until one prisoner made his debut. Markus Willson aka. Nexus, one of the more infamous prisoners in Blackstone. Also one of their better success stories, he's been safely contained for over a decade now. Or well, he was. He is known for his ability to copy the traits of anyone he sets his eyes on. And right now, his eyes are on Dark Star and Breakdown. He starts floating off the ground, his body now composed of the same energy as Dark Star, and you can hear a certain tune on the wind. [groove]21831261[/groove]

  20. Sorry, completely missed that. The guy appears to be hiding something. You don't think he wanted something in the store so much as he wanted to damage it. Just Z, the others still need some sort of resolution.
  21. "It is ze fact zat I know ze vorld can be better. If a criminal cannot succeed vith a life of villain, zey may go back to trying to valk ze straight and narrow as you Americans call it. If people see zat crime pays, zey zemselves may attempt it, and zat leads to a future I do not vant to see. It also strikes me as one of zone personal offenses if people zink zat zey are above ze law. Maybe it is ze propaganda again, but I zink of ze law as absolute." While Vivian wrote down his response, Samael took the opportunity to much on more of the ice cream. They only had the lemon in the summer and he intended to get most of it.
  22. "Cool, thanks!" he said as she swapped out the new ones. Totally thought she was going to stick to the tennis balls and watch me get beaned around a little bit. Guess she's forgiven me a little. But better not push my luck. Eli untucked his shirt and undid the button at the collar so he would have more freedom of movement. Street clothes weren't exactly designed for handling super powers. Done with the preparations, he walked over to the machine and hit the button before hurriedly retreating a few steps. While the barrage was feirce, Eli didn't seem to have any trouble evading the projectiles. While not as flexible as Erin, his total body coordination was right up there with her her own. But he was still a lot faster and was able to avoid them without all the flips Erin had to do. "Whew." breathed Eli as the last ball bounced off the mesh. "That's pretty cool. Gotta see if Vince can rig up something like this."
