Phalanx finally plants a solid hook on the face of the bug, planting it solidly into the concrete, it's not getting up again. The giant staggers back from Breakdown's attack, suddenly looking as though it's moving in slow motion, and getting slower as Breakdown's attack takes effect. Hellion moves in for the final blow and the Black Blade, cuts true. However, the day is not yet won. As the creature staggers back, it's elbow catches the support, cracking it, and sending a rather large chunk falling towards the bridge, right for some civillians. Such a break also weakens the support cables and they are not able to support the weight of the giant that is now falling against it. Without a support in place, the bridge will surely crumble. In addition, there is the matter of all the crewmen of the ship who are now in danger of being crushed by the falling giant and various bits of rubble that they brought with them in their death throws.

The creature cocks its head at Dead Head. It was clearly puzzled by the strange creature before it. It had no idea how this raggedy thing was still alive nor how to make it dead. It was in this state of confusion that Dead Head supplied his answer to the particular conundrum. As if a light bulb goes off in the back of the creature's thick skull, it suddenly lunches forward and chomps Dead Head, swallowing him whole before looking around for something else to break, looking strangely satisfied with itself.

Hrmmm.... well on the one hand, zombies are not known for being particularly appetizing to the living. Like, even remotely. On the other hand, I do love a good game of hungry, hungry hippos. *grumbles about having to look up the prone rules* You need to get in the habit of putting what the roll is for in your roll Sand. Also the attack will miss, even with the -4 for being prone.

The chopper rides are short, but rather intense. It's quite clear that the pilots are pushing the choppers as fast as they can go. From your vantage point, you can see some of the destruction that's happening on the city. The agents are relatively mum on what this is all about, flat out telling you they don't have clearance for that sort of information. Within mere moments of one another, all four choppers set down on the roof, Harry Powers himself and a great number of AEGIS agents are on the roof waiting for the heroes. The agents load onto the choppers as soon as the heroes exit and the chopper take off to parts unknown barely even winding down the propellers. "Come with me." Powers says curtly. "Your questions will be answered in a more secured location." He takes you down a few flights of stairs, before stopping on the landing, and looks at the collected group sternly. "Breathing a word to anyone about anything you see from this point on will be considered an act of high treason or espionage, and you will be held accountable to the full extent of the law." It was plainly clear that Powers was in full on serious mode here. The wall slid away to reveal a secret elevator, and after everyone piled in, it drops sharply, bringing you surely beneath AEGIS HQ. The doors open to reveal a giant hub of activity, dozens of AEGIS agents running around, and there's enough high tech advices around to make even the tech heads here envious.

I wouldn't worry about holding up MiTS. I do that fine by myself. Speaking of, expect a few more delays. I got a a few papers, exams and a job interview in the next couple of days. Expect moar delays from me. Sorry. But this is the reason I started the Invasion early.

Quote was dumb and posted in the wrong thread.

Avenger's feral midair assault is absolutely devestating. The monkey is reduced to a mere whimper instead of its screaming. The sudden smack into the pavement doesn't help matters much either. The fighting pair crash right through the damaged pavement and land with a thud on the platform of a subway station. The monkey ever so groggily tries to make it to his feet, but it really out of it, and can't seem to find up.

I was halfway through reading through the rush rules when I realized a vampire tackling a giant monkey off the roof of a collapsing building and repeatedly hitting him in the face is just plain cool. It works, not even going to bother rolling. House Toughness save vs Avenger mid air pummel, DC 30 (1d20+13=18) Monkey fall go boom. Staggered and Stunned And we'll say the fall's 150ft so rank 15 damage, and with AA's obnoxious rolling on the grapple attempt, the monkey will take all of that, while AA's damage is reduced under his Impervious ranking, so he takes no damage. House Toughness save vs the sudden stop, DC 30 (1d20+13=21) Bruised and Stunned. Refocused Avenger - Unharmed - HP x6 20 Dead Head - Unharmed - HP x5 14 Dark Star - Unharmed - HP x8 7 Titan - Bruised x1, Stunned Until 14 6 Brick - Bruised x1 5 House - Bruised x2, Staggered, Stunned Until Avenger's turn 1 Phantom - Unharmed - HP x5

While Fulcrum's punch was mighty, it caught an angle on the creature's shell and deflected away before it could impart all of its force. The beast took the time to retaliate against the over extended paragon and clawed at her viciously. Their scuffle would be interrupted however by a very large and looming shadow. While the heroes were otherwise occupied, the giant creature had the time to pull up one of the buildings and hurl it bodily in their general direction. It's aim was terrible, but the fact of the matter was that it had just thrown a building at them.

Sorry for making you wait, I thought I had gotten to this earlier. Brick Toughness save vs Fulcrum Charge DC 32 (1d20+12=17) Boo. No Round 1 KO's - GM Fiat Brick Toughness save vs Fulcrum Charge DC 32, GM Fiat reroll (1d20+12=31) My Turn! Brick Atk Roll vs Fulcrum DEF 11, AoA 5/PA 5 DC 33 Tough (1d20+7=21) yep. Good thing you switched to Immovable or you might have been smacked into the Maveric. And hey, 3 of the heroes are clumped all nice and close together. The Titan picks up a good size chunk of the building a hurls it at JoAB, Colt, Fulcrum and the Brick. Titan Atk roll w/building vs Colt, JoAB, the Maveric, Fulcrum & Brick, AoA 5, DC 31 (1d20+11=15) Misses by a mile. However, due to the AoE nature of giant attacks, if that would hit anyone on a 19, but miss on 15, it still hits them. If that's the case, make a DC 19 Reflex save for half damage. Brick Toughness save vs Building DC 31 (1d20+11=21) ... Screw it, I'll keep it. Oh, and now there's a building on the tracks of the incoming train. Have a HP for the set back. 21 Grimlakin - Unharmed - HP x6 17 Jack of All Blades - Unharmed - HP x7 17 Colt - Unharmed - HP x8 17 House - Bruised x2, Stunned until 9 9 Sarah Prescott - Unharmed - HP x3 8 Fulcrum - Unharmed - HP x5 6 Brick - Bruised x3, Shaken, Staggered, Stunned until 5 5 Titan - Unharmed

The bug somehow managed to shrug off the effects of Psyche's assault, though it seemed more like a fluke than anything else really. What the creature did know how to ever was smack teen heroes around. It had previously demonstrated this ability on Breakdown and was now trying his hand at smacking Phalanx one.

The previously falling debris crash head long into the screaming monkey at high speed. However, the structure was so heavily damaged from the scream on top of the psychic toss, it breaks apart before it can do appreciable damage. The monkey is still very much on his feet.

I'm having a bit of trouble deciphering your Powers section to be perfectly honest. What you should do is list your Devices as normal powers and give their costs, and then have a breakdown of what precisely is in contained with in those devices in a quote box later on. For Example: Powers: 33 PP Device 6 (High Tech Armor; 30 points, Hard to Lose) [24pp] Device 3 (High Tech Blaster; 15 points, Easy to Lose) [9pp] And as for the point costs, I'm counting 33 points you've spent outside of the powers section. And assuming you've done the Device math properly, you've got 8 ranks in Hard to Lose Device total, which should come out to 32 points. So 65 points spent total. But as I said, I've got trouble reading your powers section. Hope that helps.

Now if you could put up an IC post that'd be great.

That got the creatures attention. It gave a weird yelp and hastily retracted its foot, only adding to the damage caused by the blade. Dragging its foot caused the tarmac to get a little chewed up on the bridge, but the damage was quite superficial, just a pain to drive around. The creature seemed to stand a little more gingerly, as if it didn't want to put too much weight on its foot.

How exactly do you have a rank 17 Trip attack? That would kind of put you at PL 16.5 And yeah, the Vehicle combat stuff is fine with me.

Jestnut was a terrible driver, though it did improve drastically when he raised the seat up so he could see over the steering wheel. But it didn't really seam to matter, stuff moved out of the way of its own accord. You were also pretty sure the car was by no means a functioning car. It seemed only make the necessary parts as Jestnut realized that should be there. The speedometer for instance listed "Stop" "Slow" "Fast" and "Whoosh!" There were button all over the dash, none of which were labeled, and unless your eyes deceived you, none of them stayed in the same place for long. After making a sharp turn, Jestnut started scanning the area. "Anyone see anything?" "Ohhh! Look over there!" said a voice from the back of the car. There sat a man, crouching on the back seat, wearing a straight jacket, baggy black pants, and nothing else. He pointed dramatically at a passing pet store, his clownish face screwed up in a giant smile. "The savages!" Jestnut and Jester cackled madly in unison as the car caught air over a hill, venturing off into the unknown.
