  1. [groove]20800031[/groove] A new take on a classic.
  2. Geez3r

    I am...

Looks good. But for the line up I would switch geckoman and breakdown, and also phalanx and psyche. That way everyone on a given side is looking the same way. I just prefer symmetry and it invokes this a bit more.
  3. 25 Breakdown - Bruised x2 - HP x5 - Stunned until 11 20 Hellion - Unharmed - HP x5 - Prone 20 Titan - Unharmed 20 House - Bruised x2, Stunned until 17 17 Wander - Unharmed - HP x5 14 Psyche - Unharmed - HP x2 11 Brick - Bruised x1 3 Phalanx - Unharmed - HP x5
  4. Dude just 1 save, I was just listing the contributing factors. DC 13 because you don't fly as far. Failure by 4 leaves you minor disoriented. -2 to attack rolls for 1 round. The 1 per 50 feet was telling you where I was pulling that number from.
  5. Let's see BD has a Knockback modifier of -5. He hit you with a rank 18 attack. So 13 up the chart is KB of 10,000ft or 2 miles. I'll say that due to the difference in size, his attack had a downward angle to it. So BD's gonna take a bit of a swim. So make a DC 23 Toughness save from smacking against the water at high speed. But water slows you down much faster than air, so we'll say BD is only about 200ft under water (and its 200ft up to the bridge above the surface of the water btw). Roll a Fort save DC 14 (1 per 50ft) to avoid becoming disoriented by the sudden increase in pressure, the cold water and the darkness from that deep down.
  6. To clarify: Brick is the one charging the bridge, next to BD and Phalanx. Titan is the one in the center of the bridge, being attacked by Hellion. house is one on the ship being trounced by Wander.
  7. The strange bug creature takes a swipe at Breakdown for getting in its way. It misses by a rather large margin and it breaks off its assault of Breakdown to start charging towards the bridge again. However its progress is cut short as Phalanx charges out of the sky. The teen's mighty fist connects solidly to the beast's chest and stops the beast's charge dead. However, it doesn't seem to have taken too much damage from the attack.
  8. Brick Toughness save vs Phalanx Charge, DC 35 (1d20+15=34) Also, the Brick actually goes before you. I was just slow on the draw. Sorry. Brick Atk roll vs Breakdown, DC 33, AoA 5, PA 5 (1d20+9=14) Miss by a mile unless I'm sorely mistaken. 25 Breakdown - Unharmed - HP x5 20 Hellion - Unharmed - HP x5 - Prone 20 Titan - Unharmed 20 House - Bruised x2, Stunned until 17 17 Wander - Unharmed - HP x5 14 Psyche - Unharmed - HP x2 11 Brick - Bruised x1 3 Phalanx - Unharmed - HP x5
  9. "Well that was over fast." muttered Malice. "However at least we can properly gauge the potential of their group more accurately. And I'm ripping the video surveillance for use in our next training simulations. They are going to need more discipline after this little fiasco here. Still, they at least all managed to get out of there alive. That's something. Wished they would have at least slowed the heroes down a bit. They've gotten quite a bit better in our absence. Have all the other preparations been made?"
  10. Well most people don't regularly do combat threads. It's one of the very first sections up in the Game Rules announcement. People just forget when they don't do it regularly. I just remind them whenever possible. Personally I blame my auditing class for me wanted all the proper documentation. But whatever. Also, you have 7 HP because I used Fiat on the first toughness save. Brick Toughness save vs DS Blast DC 36 (1d20+15=34) Bruise. Alright, being the only target on the ground, the Rhino brick is going to attempt to use a Rush attack on Dead head. Due to the Rhino's high Immovable rank, high Strength score, high Super-Strength and additional limbs (for stability). Dead Head can't successfully oppose this check. However, it is impossible to Rush someone further than your speed, which in the case of the Rhino is quite low. The Rhino plows Dead Head through 4 walls, 3 cars, a fire truck, an oil tanker (which of course explodes), and 2 street lights. Dead Head's and the Brick's high Impervious scores ignores all of this damage. It just looks cool. The House uses his scream to blow out the top of a sky scraper and the corner of the building is coming down, right on top of some civilians. Hero Point for the set back. Refocused Avenger - Unharmed - HP x8 20 Dead Head - Unharmed - HP x5 14 Dark Star - Unharmed - HP x8 7 Titan - Bruised x1, Stunned Until 14 6 Brick - Bruised x1 5 House 1 Phantom - Unharmed - HP x6
  11. Dark Star's attack hits home on both targets. The giant gorilla is blasted clear off the side of the building and falls a good 50 or 60 feet into the side of an apartment complex, crushing the north side of the structure utterly. The water tower is knocked off the roof and makes for a very wet monkey. The thud of the impact causes most cars in the area to jump about a foot in the air. The gorilla is struggling to its feet, but the impact definitely sent it for a loop. Dark Star's attack also hits home on the rampaging Rhino monster. However this attack is less effective, and merely causes the monster to change course. This course is aimed directly at Dead Head. It catches Dead Head in the stomach, lifting him off his feet. The creature plows into and out of again Madam Moxie's pottery barn, 2 cars in the parking lot, through a fire engine, straight through the corner deli, and tramples a street lamp, before running through a parked oil tanker causing it to explode before toss Dead Head aside into another street lamp which bends right over from the force of the impact. The creature looks down at the strangely unharmed Dead Head as the pair are surrounded by flame and smoke. Lastly, the screamer monkey makes another trademarked roar on the roof of a sky scraper, causing the corner of the roof to come down. Unfortunately some evacuees were trying to escape the carnage by using that side alley. Now they're in danger of being crushed.
  12. Macy's is trying to Invade!
  13. Hero Point because that should have worked. But on the plus side, you did Nom his next turn. Arrowhawk - Unharmed - HP x4 Wesley - Unharmed - HP x5 Titan - Bruised x1, Injured x1 Mongrel Angel - Unharmed - HP x6 Brick - Unharmed, Bruised x1 - Demoralized until MA's turn, Demoralized again until Midnight's turn Midnight - Unharmed - HP x3 Carbon - Unharmed - Hp x3 House - Unharmed, Distracted until start of Freedom Angel's next turn. Freedom Angel - Unharmed - HP x5
  14. The monster just gaped openly at Freedom Angel for a moment, completely dumbfounded. It took a few calming breaths and slowly extended its hand towards Freedom Angel. But before its hand could move more than a couple of inches, the creature suddenly recoiled, howling in pain. It clutched its head as it rolled around the ground, as it were having a siezure. It a breif moment of calm it looked directly at Freedom Angel, hand slowly reaching up to him "Help...me." but before it could say another word, the other warring force in its head reasserted itself and the beast roared with inhuman rage once again. This was merely the puppet, but where was the puppet master?
  15. Actually you don't have to worry about that. Only the giant Monkey is technically larger than medium size. Your gravity control is enough to affect anything here. So vs Monkey Kong: Titan Toughness save vs DS Crit DC 36 (1d20+16=19) No round 1 KO's GM FIAT Titan Toughness save vs DS Crit DC 36, Fiat Reroll (1d20+16=30) Stunned and Bruised. Also, Cy, you really need to get in the habit of putting all the necessary information in your rolls. Character's name, name of the thread, what the roll is for, who would oppose the roll if anyone, any situational feats that are in use, and the base DC. So with the above information, do you want to use the Gravity Control power or go with Blasting the other one? Refocused Avenger - Unharmed - HP x7 20 Dead Head - Unharmed - HP x4 14 Dark Star - Unharmed - HP x7 7 Titan - Bruised x1, Stunned Until 14 6 Brick 5 House 1 Phantom - Unharmed - HP x5
  16. House Toughness save vs Sarah PA 5, DC 28 (1d20+13=22) Bruised and Stunned. 21 Grimlakin - Unharmed - HP x5 17 Jack of All Blades - Unharmed - HP x6 17 Colt - Unharmed - HP x7 17 House - Bruised x2, Stunned until 9 9 Sarah Prescott - Unharmed - HP x2 8 Fulcrum - Unharmed - HP x3 6 Brick - Bruised x1, Shaken, Stunned until 17 5 Titan - Unharmed So now it's time for the only hero to have a Damage trade-off to go up to the plate.
  17. The shots hit their mark and the beast let out dull roar as it's stride broke and it fell forward. It crumpled into a heap and rolled a bit from the momentum. ...And then it got back up. It looked pretty darn disoriented, and from the blue liquid leaking from it, you could tell it was injured, but it still had a whole lot of fight left in it. And to make matters worse, it was still on the tracks.
  18. Brick Toughness save vs Colt barrage DC 41 (1d20+15=33) 21 Grimlakin - Unharmed - HP x5 17 Jack of All Blades - Unharmed - HP x6 17 Colt - Unharmed - HP x7 17 House - Bruised x1, Stunned until 21 9 Sarah Prescott - Unharmed - HP x3 8 Fulcrum - Unharmed - HP x3 6 Brick - Bruised x1, Shaken, Stunned until 17 5 Titan - Unharmed
  19. Those are impossible checks for the monster. He is both flat footed and taunted into oblivion.
  20. The fish creature howled in pain, dropping the van it had been in the process of picking up. Roaring to face its assailant, the fish creature found.... nothing. At first anyways. After getting a rather amusing confused expression on its mishappen face, it finally caught sight of Grim hanging in mid air. Then he got really confused.
  21. Yeah, he's flat footed, these guys aren't exactly quick on the uptake. House toughness save vs Tiny Grim claws, DC 25 (1d20+14=16) Fail by 9, bruised and stunned. 21 Grimlakin - Unharmed - HP x5 17 Jack of All Blades - Unharmed - HP x6 17 Colt - Unharmed - HP x7 17 House - Bruised x1, Stunned until 21 9 Sarah Prescott - Unharmed - HP x3 8 Fulcrum - Unharmed - HP x3 6 Brick - Unharmed 5 Titan - Unharmed
  22. Titan Toughness save vs Carbon Charge DC 29 (1d20+15=34) Saves On his turn, house does various things to the hangar. This may or may not involve a new set of explosions. Arrowhawk - Unharmed - HP x4 Wesley - Unharmed - HP x5 Titan - Bruised x1, Injured x1, Stunned Until start of Arrowhawk's next turn, not a kitty Mongrel Angel - Unharmed - HP x6 Brick - Unharmed, Bruised x1 - Demoralized until MA's turn, Demoralized again until Midnight's turn Midnight - Unharmed - HP x3 Carbon - Unharmed - Hp x3 House - Unharmed Freedom Angel - Unharmed - HP x5 AA you're up as soon as playah puts up an IC post.
  23. Atlas had to laugh a bit at Jack. He was a nice guy to hang around. In fact the Interceptors were good people all around. If it weren't for instances he would have liked to join with them. He didn't want to abandon the Midknighters per se, it was just that he sort of felt a bit over his head when he was with them. Morphing back to his usual self Atlas answered Gossamer "It's something I've always had, but have recently honed. Only about a month ago since I got good at it. I'm able to tell my body how to operate kind of. "Be stronger" being the easiest command. I figured out how to put myself back together a while back, and now I figured out to look like someone else. Like so..." Atlas's form collapsed into the slender form of Gossamer, hair and all. The only way to tell the two apart was that Gossamer's hair seemed a bit more lively, and Atlas still stood like a guy, so his posture was all off. "I don't like doing too often though," said Atlas, using Gossamer's voice. "And I'm really weak like this. I could probably only throw a car a few feet like this. If I tried being strong too..." Atlas form changed to an incredibly muscled version of Jack of All Blades. "People tend to see through the disguise."
  24. Nope it wouldn't have hit. What's the DC? Something you should include in your roll notes btw. Along with any sort of trade-off feats like Power Attack and such.
  25. What's the DC on the attack? For future reference, this is something that should be included in the roll notes. It does hit btw.
