Oh no, it was a good plan. I'm just evil. And to be clear: you see the cars falling no matter what you roll on your Notice. It's not exactly hard to see 9 cars take a plummet off a bridge. What is hard to see is weather or not anyone's in the cars at the time. So you could make a blind rescue attempt, but you'd just be playing the odds.

That's a vary scared turtle. Brick counter demoralize vs Motorcycle DC 29 (1d20+10=12)

21 Colt - Unharmed - HP x7 21 Grimlakin - Unharmed - HP x5 17 Jack of All Blades - Unharmed - HP x6 17 House - Unharmed 9 Sarah Prescott - Unharmed - HP x3 8 Fulcrum - Unharmed - HP x3 6 Brick - Unharmed 5 Titan - Unharmed 2 HP for everyone. JoAB gets a bonus HP for his "West Ender" complication. I don't care who posts first, Grim or Colt. You both go on the same effective initiative order. So whoever gets to it first, gets to it first.

20 Dead Head - Unharmed - HP x4 18 Avenger - Unharmed - HP x7 14 Dark Star - Unharmed - HP x7 7 Titan 6 Brick 5 House 1 Phantom - Unharmed - HP x5 Hero Point time. You get 2 HP for there being quite a lot of damage already and being in a highly congested area. Dead head gets a HP for his Hideous Appearance. Avenger and Phantom get a point for their responsibility for one another, and Avenger gets another one for having a bunch of his powers not work, Phantom gets another for being quite pregnant. Dark Star being the boy scout he is, will probably try to do everything in his power to stop his friends from even having to lift a finger so he'll be worried about them, not to mention protecting everyone else. So yeah... you guys have a disgustingly large amount of HP. Have at it.

Wander's mighty bat lifted slammed the creature full in the gut. The impact was enough to send it flying into the cargo crates. It hung against the crates momentarily, leaving a huge indent in the steel containers. It fell back to the deck of the ship were Wander was waiting and cracked the monster again hitting in the back of the next and bouncing his head off the steel deck with a satisfying THWACK.

Well with Wander's Leaping, Super-Strength and high Acrobatics, she could have leapt from falling car to falling car, smashed off the roof, grabbed the people inside, jump onto a few more cars and make it back onto the bridge. But kicking the crap out of one of the monsters works too. Speaking of: Toughness vs Wander Bat 1, DC 33 (1d20+14=26) Bruised and Stunned Toughness vs Wander Bat 2, DC 33 (1d20+13=16) KO No round 1 KO's so GM Fiat. I don't know when the last time you saw I giant rampaging turtle stop dead and get a full "holy crap" look in its eyes, but it really is a thing of beauty. This marvel of nature is only surpassed by crushing in the skull of said turtle with wild abandon. For a moment, it looks like Mongrel Angel has literally smashed the turtle's head into it's chest cavity somewhere, before its head pops out again, bruised but definitely serviceable. With a dull roar, it smacks the over extended Mongrel Angel with a heavy backhand, catching her in the middle of the chest. Believing his quarry to be dispatched, it heads after the citizens again.

Brick counter demoralize DC 27 (1d20+12=16) Not a chance. Brick Toughness save DC 33 (1d20+13=18) GM Fiat, to reroll. MA gets another HP Brick Toughness save DC 33, GM Fiat Reroll (1d20+13=29) Fail by 4, takes a bruise. His turn: Brick AoA 5, PA 5 vs MA, DEF 10, DC 33 (1d20+9=21) Move action to move towards the crowds of people again. Arrowhawk - Unharmed - HP x4 Wesley - Unharmed - HP x5 Titan - Bruised x1, Stunned Until start of Arrowhawk's next turn, not a kitty Mongrel Angel - Unharmed - HP x6 Brick - Unharmed, Bruised x1 Midnight - Unharmed - HP x3 Carbon - Unharmed - Hp x3 House - Unharmed Freedom Angel - Unharmed - HP x5

Hellion's luck with dealing with the creature is no better than Breakdown's as the creature's knee shows no sign of injury at all. This thing was built tougher than a freaking tank. It rounded on its assailant , bringing its giant clubbed tail down on the bridge causing a massive tremor. The bridge visibly shook and cracked, and many of the cars that were on the edge were sent over. Some people were still inside! Under the bridge, the dragon serpent continued its rampage, throwing giant cargo container smack into the North support of the bridge which started to crack and groan under the continued stress. Bits and pieces were falling into the water below.

Brick Fort Save vs Drain Toughness DC 18 (1d20+15=35) We're gonna go with no on this attempt. Brick Tough Save vs DC 27 Black Blade (1d20+14=34) Umm no. no. Just no. 25 Breakdown - Unharmed - HP x5 20 Hellion - Unharmed - HP x5 20 Titan - Unharmed 20 House - Unharmed 17 Wander - Unharmed - HP x5 14 Psyche - Unharmed - HP x3 11 Brick - Unharmed 3 Phalanx - Unharmed - HP x5 Cy, which one did you attack specifically? Quote thought it was the one in the middle of the bridge, when I rolled the above it was the one on the south side of the bridge. It makes a bit of difference in terms of what they'll do with their turns. For future refernce BD attacked the Brick, the Titan is in the middle of the bridge and the House is on the cargo ship. EDIT: I'm going to run with the fact that you attacked the giant. Okay, House is going to chuck a cargo crate at one of the support pillars on the bridge, auto hits due to the size involved. He will however use AoA5 and PA 5, bumping the DC to 33, and making his defense drop like a rock. Bridge Toughness save DC 33, threshold +5 (1d20+10=23) Whew. If it weren't for the heavy object rules, London Bridge would be falling down. Titan on the other hand is going to use the Ground Strike PF on their super Strength. Titan Strength check with Ground Strike (1d20+16=25) Oppose that with the lower of your Strength or Dex Hellion, failure means you are knocked prone. But if you look back at the earlier posts you'll notice there were a few cars teetering on the edge of the bridge, some occupied, some not. They're not on the bridge anymore. Turns out a giant stomping around is not conducive to keeping things balanced. Also, the bridge sustained a bit of damage with that maneuver. Need a DC 20 notice check to see if you can see which cars are occupied and which are not. 2 are occupied, the other 7 are not. HP to everyone for the complication.

The tendril strikes home, striking the rampaging monster square between the eyes. The beast writhes and wriggles as its flesh bubbles and expands. It distorts and changing, combating the change Wesley is forcing on it, and after a moment's struggle manages to throw off the influence of Wesley's power, maintaining its physical form.

Arrowhawk's aim strikes true as the exploding arrow catches the soft under belly of the beat. The monster staggers back a step or two in pain. It turns to face it's assailaint, its massive tail cutting large grooves into the tarmac. The creature hisses dangerously at Arrowhawk, but doesn't appear to be in any rush to attack him. Scorch marks from the blast apparent on its chest.

25 Breakdown - Unharmed - HP x4 20 Hellion - Unharmed - HP x4 20 Titan - Unharmed 20 House - Unharmed 17 Wander - Unharmed - HP x4 14 Psyche - Unharmed - HP x2 11 Brick - Unharmed 3 Phalanx - Unharmed - HP x4 One of these things is not like the other... Anywho, 1 bonus HP to everyone for complications. Why only 1? Because you guys have the highest average PL for any of these threads.

Round 1 Arrowhawk - Unharmed - HP x4 Wesley - Unharmed - HP x5 Titan - Unharmed Mongrel Angel - Unharmed - HP x6 Brick - Unharmed Midnight - Unharmed - HP x3 Carbon - Unharmed - Hp x3 House - Unharmed Freedom Angel - Unharmed - HP x5 In addition to starting HP, you are awarded 2 more HP for 1) the monster specifically attacking the civilians and 2) the other 2 monsters causing general mayhem. Also these 3 creatures are relatively spread out, so you can just declare yourself to be near whichever one you want to attack and/or mess with.

Notice check DC 20 (1d20+9=16) Can't see squat. As per my previous post, Atlas breaks the snare as a full round action. Will interpose on Samendi's next attack, or if all of the mooks use combined attack. Surge Shockwave on Samedi. DC 27 Toughness, DC 22 Reflex for half damage. Same to any mooks that happen to be in the AoE.
-
Atlas strains against the shadows and tears them asunder. "You are going to have to try better zan zat. You vill find zat ve are quite tenacious." Taking a step forward to guard his friends from Samedi, Atlas lets lose a devastating thunderclap, slamming against Samedi.

I've mentioned this several times, but incase anyone's missed it, be aware that my work load is the highest its ever been. I may not be able to update that frequently. My goal is at least 2 times per week in each of the 5 threads. In addition, in everyone of the combat threads there was at least 1 instance where the heroes should get hero points. Don't worry, you will. I am quite loose with the hero points. I just wanted everyone to get their stuff up first and I'll throw the HP into the status counter. Also, the whole point of these threads (and most of my threads in general) is Stuff Blowing Up. So expect lots of that. Massive swaths of the city are going to get wrecked.

Part 1.1 of the Grue Invasion starring: Dr. Archeville Ace Danger Quark Gossamer Give me a post of you getting picked up by the agents. They are highly official like, very cloak and dagger, and quite insistent you come with them, now.
