1. After looking at himself for a moment, Atlas turned back into himself... almost. This time, not only did he take Grim's form (which was really his own) he also took on Grim's stature, only more exaggerated. After his muscles were done contorting and shifting, Atlas was only a mere 3ft tall. "Uhhh... Zis is an improvement... I zink. And I'm talking normal again da. Zat's good." says Atlas, his voice now much higher than it was previously. He shifts on the now monsterously oversized bed, his legs dangling off the side. "Please tell me zis gets easier." said Atlas pleadingly.
2. Atlas nodded once again. "Zat vould be good Doctor." said Atlas as he stooped down to pick up the shirt he had borrowed from Archeville. Putting it back in the closet he added. "Don't feel pressured zat you have to solve it. It shouldn't be ze highest zing on your to do list. Ignorance is bliss da? But if not knowing is bozering you, zen by all means, continue." Atlas waits outside the elevator door for Doc to catch up.
3. Still interested.
4. Everything checks out. Approved.
5. Okay, just a few minor details. Your Knockback modifier while wearing the suit is -10, Impervious Toughness is not halved. Secondly, in the computation of your powers section, you forgot to pay for the 2 points of Restricted on the Battlesuit, so you are two points over budget. Everything else checks out however. However, I just want to double check something that I ask pretty much every new player. You are aware that you can have trade-offs correct? More damage for less accuracy and vice versa correct? The same with Defense and Toughness. Also, as of right now, you do not meet your offensive caps. Hitting caps means that when you average your Attack and Damage (aka DC modifier) it equals your Power Level, in your case 10. Currently, you are PL 7.5 offensively. I am just making sure you are aware of these issues. If you're good with the way things are, then so am I.
6. Couldn't resist Now as opposed to the other stupid actions being undertaken in the thread, I knew the danger, I just acted in spite of the danger, not in ignorance of the danger. :awesome:
7. GM ONLY POST Tempest cocked his head to the side, not understanding the sentiment involved. This was likely another saying of sorts, but he couldn't grasp the true meaning behind it. "Fulcrum human, if one were to deliver a blow to your posterior would not the influx of the kinetic energy into your body likely increase your chances of moving you close to your "idiotic objective"? Or are you confident in your posterior's high inertial mass to prevent an acceleration in the forward direction, regardless of the amount of force applied?" Did... did Tempest just say that Fulcrum had a big butt?
8. GM ONLY POST Force let her defenses slip just a little bit while Jack wailed in pain. However, when she realized it was a rouse, she quickly tried to kick her way away from him so her shield would have time to reform. She had no such luck however as the fencer's lighting fast reflexes find the gap in her shield. Force can only let out a single gasp of surprise and fear as she is impaled by the hellfire blade and her world goes dark. High above, the scene does not go unnoticed. "You bastard! I'll kill you for that!" shouts a very much rage filled Burn. He sends a volley of fireballs in Jack's direction, aiming so as not to hit Force. Judging from the ferocity and accuracy of the attacks, Burn may very well make good on his word.
9. Force gets a +1 against the Trick because you've used it before. Force resist DC 31 Trick to lower Force Field (1d20+16=26) Shield's are down. Force resist DC 26 Fient attempt (1d20+15=27) Final DC is 31 Force Toughness save DC 31 (1d20+0=8) not even close. ------------------------ Burn doesn't like Jack hitting his lady friend. Burn Attack roll vs JoAB DEF 25, Accurate Attack 5, DC 22 (1d20+13=33) naturally I crit on the Accurate Attack. DC 27 there cupcake. Also, totally doing Knock back. If you fail that would be a rank 9 effect, DC 24 from hitting the warehouse wall, which gets a nice big dent in it btw: Wall's Toughness save, DC 24 (1d20+8=18) but not enough to send you through it. 40 - Dash - Unharmed 24 - Jester - Unharmed, HP x4 20 - Breakdown - Bruise x3, HP x4 17 - Strong Man - Staggered, Unconscious 16 - Mongrel Angel - Unharmed, HP x3 15 - Jack of all Blades - Unharmed, HP x0 12 - Burn - Bruised x2 6 - Thad Minker - Unharmed, HP x4 2 - Force - Unconscious
10. Hey, to be fair, you did know that you were facing an organized criminal empire in their own HQ, they've got plans for this stuff. In addition, a round or two prior, I showed you that they had explosives readily available to them and the training to know how to use them AND there was a second, untrapped door. Hey, that was all you. I was just the enabler. I probably shouldn't have left that many potentially enabling chemicals lying about, but I'm not the one on trial here.
11. Nyrath's had a week, skipping their turn. You're up Giz. 40 - Dash - Unharmed 24 - Jester - Unharmed, HP x4 20 - Breakdown - Bruise x3, HP x4 17 - Strong Man - Staggered, Unconscious 16 - Mongrel Angel - Unharmed, HP x3 15 - Jack of all Blades - Unharmed, HP x2 12 - Burn - Bruised x2 6 - Thad Minker - Unharmed, HP x4 2 - Force - Unharme
12. Heh. It's even worse here because I can't ask "Are you sure?" like I normally do in F2F games. Quote will tell you I live for when the PC's don't think their plans all the way through when I'm GMing.
13. "Screw it." said Atlas as he slip a bunch of chips into the stack to call. "I have to get up in ze morning so I need zis to be over sooner razer zan later. It's been a fun game zere Tex." You could tell that the big man didn't really like his chances. He hadn't been winning through skill, only pure blind luck, so he figured he should lose the way he's been winning.
14. The snowman continued to stay in one piece for the moment. There was a great deal of snapping and cracking from the arms and the head, but for now the beast remained in one piece. No sooner had Atlas's passed over Medea's head did the vile sorceress disappear from this dimension. "You've made a powerful enemy this day, and I will have my revenge, even if it takes me 100 years!" swore Medea as her form turned to smoke and she disappeared on the winds. "Not one to fight your own battles, coward." Atlas leaped across the park again to lend aid to Moira who was still fighting the remarkably resilient snowman. He landed a flying drop kick on the creature, shaking snow out of its tree like arms, but the beast still stood strong.
15. Frosty's stunned, no actions for him. Due to the fact that Medea is a terrible, terrible combatant so she'll teleport away this time. Atlas is going to attempt to steal Moira's kill Atk roll vs Frosty, AoA/PA 5, DC 36 (1d20+6=17) That's a hit Frosty Toughness save DC 36 (1d20+13=27) Grrr. Fail by 9. Stunned and Bruised again. Divine - Bruise x2 - HP x1 Frosty - Bruise x5, Injured x5, Staggered, Stunned Medea - Ran Away Atlas - Bruise x1 - HP x2
16. The lump shifted a bit as Atlas got ready for the big reveal. "Yeah, um I look a bit weird. Uh.... yeah. Hold onto your butt." Atlas sat up and the sheet fell away revealing... not anything remotely expected. It looked like a weird cat hybrid version of Atlas. A siamese cat in fact, only with redish fur instead of tan. But that image didn't last. After looking at Grim for a few moments, Atlas's skin began to melt and mold itself into a new form. When it stopped, he didn't look like Atlas anymore, but rather a much larger and more muscular version of Grim herself. "So umm yeah." bracing himself for Grim's reaction to seeing... well Grim...
17. Spent a HP to act I take it. Frosty Toughness save DC 32 (1d20+14=24) Fail by 8, Still up! but stunned again. Divine - Bruise x2 - HP x1 Frosty - Bruise x4, Injured x4, Staggered, Stunned Medea - Unharmed Atlas - Bruise x1, Stunned - HP x2
18. Hello. Welcome to the boards. I can't really give you much advise build wise, as you still have a great number of points to spend, but I can give you some general advice. Firstly the following is the standard template we use for our character sheets: Trade-Offs: [example] Unspent PP: 0 (90/90 or 150/150) Characters Name: Alternate Identity: Age: ?? So once you've got everything up to snuff, post a reply to this thread to let us know.
19. Welcome to the boards! We've got a wiki where you can look at a bunch of user uploaded information. It's still a work in progress, so it's a bit hit or miss, but the info that is there is good. Also, head into the Chat when you've got the chance. A bunch of us hang out there throughout the day and shoot the breeze. It's a good way to get to know everyone, and a good place to ask any questions if you have them.
20. GM ONLY POST It wasn't long until Fulcrum began to fill uneasy in the presence of this machine. The air felt thin and she felt as if she may have just ran a mile. But all of this paled in comparison to what her eyes saw. The strange machine just absorbed some of her energy which was now being fed down the tube. She didn't know why, but that revelation just felt bad to her for reasons beyond the obvious.
21. Just her. Fulcrum is now fatigued. Apparently approaching the machine that saps the energy from its surroundings isn't the best idea if you want to keep all of your energy inside of you. In addition, Fulcrum is a Terminus Energy Generator, so she may have just injected that next batch of energy with raw Terminus energy. I sure this won't have any negative effects, but better take a HP just to be on the safe side. ;)
22. Upon entering the house, Grim found herself in the living room and immediately felt like she was 8 years old again. Everything in the house was so big, the coffee table nearly came up to her chin. It was furnished much like you would expect a standard blue collar house to be. Everything looked like it was made for comfort (and durability), any aesthetic choices were an after thought at best. But to be fair, Atlas probably didn't have the greatest selection to go from. After calling out, a voice towards the back of the house answered "In here." but before Grim could make much progress, she was greeted by a loud scampering noise. A Siamese cat darted out from the kitchen, leapt up on top of the seat of couch before it jumped onto the coffee table. Grim could see the name tag "Sprinkles" around its collar. It let out a loud "MrrrrrrOOOOoooowwwwww" and took a few steps back towards the kitchen, before looking back at Grim and repeating the process. Clearly it wanted Grim to follow. The cat lead Grim through the kitchen and into the master bedroom where there was a very large lump under the sheets. "Grim, is that you?" asked the lump hesitantly.
23. It had been a while since Atlas had felt pain of this magnitude and it was a sensation he had not missed in the slightest. His vision clouded and the tunnel started to close as the darkness swelled. But that sickening crash above him snapped him back to his senses with a cry of "Moira!" He stood back to his full height, menacing eyes fixed on Medea, the source of all this. He leaps through the air slamming back to the ground next to Medea, he takes a swipe at Medea as he slides past, but she ducks under the attack. "Stop this now!" "Only on your life." retorts Medea.
24. GM ONLY POST The monstrous snowman flailed around in pain as Divine attempted it rip out its eyes. The little buggers were solidly in there however, that's probably where the animation magic was strongest. Thoroughly infuriated, the creature crashed its two tree like arms on either side of the annoying gnat on his head, crushing Divine with an impressive amount of force. After the bone crunching sound echos throughout the area, Medea cackled madly. "All that awaits you is a life of pain! But do not despair, I shall free you from your pain once I dispose of this eye sore!" Atlas' mind was again assaulted.
25. Wow, been so long since Frosty's had a turn I need to look his stats up again. Frost Atk roll vs Divine, AoA/PA 5, DC 38 Toughness (1d20+7=16) That's a hit. Medea uses Mental Blast again. Will save vs Mental Blast DC 20 (1d20+7=10) That would be a staggered. So going to use one of Atlas's HP to reroll. Will save vs Mental Blast DC 20, HP reroll (1d20+7=27) Much better. Now, I'm going to allocate 4 of Atlas's points to Leaping because the mind probes are getting quite annoying. He leaps over to Medea's position and takes a swipe. Atk roll vs Medea, AoA 5, DC 31 Toughness (1d20+11=14) Bah!
