  3. The thug is brought down hard and fast. A syringe filled with a dangerous looking red liquid, goes flying and cracks open on the concrete. The contents start to hiss on the street, and begin to eat through the ground. "AH! Ow man that hurts! I give! I give!"
  4. Unlike the others in the party, Altas' Impervious is not flawed, meaning he can shrug off the attacks of the cultists. Have fun with the cultists guys, gals and ghouls :)
  5. And now I can call it Approved.
  6. It's because they're more a genre convention than anything else. So they follow their own psuedo sub-set of rules. *shrug* Anyways, 1 more thing, Super Strength 3 w/ 2 PF's costs 8pp not 10pp, you got 2 more points to spend.
  7. By Linking Shockwave and Thundercap, you effectively Link 2 different effects in the same Array, which by definition can't be used at the same time. If you really want them linked together, then they'll have to be at half effectiveness, or rank 5 instead of rank 10; otherwise they are simply too expensive. Shockwave = Damage Extras: General Area Cone = 2pp/ rank Thunderclap = Dazzle (auditory) Extras: General Area Burst = 2pp/ rank Linked Shockwave & Thunderclap = 4pp/rank These are based off the points you have "available" from purchasing Strength. At your max, you have 30 strength, enough for a +10 rank. Assuming you had purchased Strength normally, you would have spent 20 points to get this rank 10 effect. You will notice that to get a rank 10 effect for Shockwave or Thunderclap also costs 20 points. Linking the effects gives you 4pp/rank, so at most you can afford a rank 5 effect because you still have the same budget of 20 points.
  8. You were good up until you linked Shockwave and Thunderclap. You simply don't have the points available to you to link them. You can have them separately, but you can't link them.
  9. The thugs in the garage gave Dark Star no trouble, but not from a lack of trying. They simply didn't have the strength to fight off Dark Star's gravity. The stories they were shouting at Dark Star came in three varieties. One was simply just calling Dark Star every sort of ... colorful... name they could think of. The second was claiming that it was all Earl's fault and that they were completely innocent. The third variety claimed that they simply hadn't done anything wrong at all; that they were ignorant of any wrong doing at the establishment at all. Somehow, you got the feeling that only the first group only meant a word they said. It was sad really. -------------- Breakdown easily chased down one of the workers, and cornered him in a back alley dead end. Trapped, the worker frantically began digging in his jacket for something. Whatever it was, it wasn't likely to be good.
  10. Geckoman's piloting skills aside, the trip is rather uneventful. If I could get 2 Notice checks from each of you... http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2360615/ 34, and 36 respectively for Tempest.
  11. Tempest filed into the Pitchoo after everyone else. Taking his seat calmly, he looked towards the sky. Tempest's eyes began to glow bright white, and clouds began to form in the sky. They seemed to trace a dotted line off in the direction the mountain range. "There are your directions Geckoman human."
  12. I'll bet you are. mused Atlas. He couldn't help but get a big smile on his face watching Moira's antics. "Indeed it is." Atlas looked at the snowball at his feet, and starting rolling it some more. "I had figured I was just going to make a snowman until I got bored, but I only just got out here, so it is probably going to be huge. Zis is ze first time I have made a snowman since I have been..." Atlas held his arms out at his sides as if to say "me". Atlas stopped pushing the snowball again, having made it nearly a foot wider already, and stood up to talk to Moira some more, pointing at her camera "I assume you came out here to take some pictures of ze city vhile it is still in ze holiday cheer. A Christmas present maybe?"
  13. Atlas had had the most erratic luck at the table. He'd been nearly knocked out 3 or 4 times, but had always pulled out some miracle hand whenever he went all it at the end. The only thing he went through faster than chips was food. He had to be on his 5th or 6th sandwich, and had drank enough to get a bit tipsy himself. "Yeah I'm about due for one myself." said Atlas as he set his drink down. The careful observer noting that it was full a moment ago. "And I zink zat you're ze only one of us left zat can pour straight."
  14. DS was quick enough to grab all but three of the perps. One had made it out of the back window as was now trying to hide in the junkyard they had out back. Another had made it out the side fire exit and was now darting through back alleys trying to ditch the heroes. The last one simply ran out the front door and was running down the road in the opposite direction of the other perp.
  15. Atlas smiled somewhat bashfully as everyone complimented him on how he performed at the Invasion. "Zank you. But you give me too much credit. I just had to keep attacking ze area in front of me, zere vas no finesse needed. I am not ze greatest of fighters." Atlas glanced over at Fulcrum, remembering her own performance at the Invasion. She probably wasn't as strong as he was, but she was definitely quicker. And really, it had been a while since someone was able to punch him square in the face, and one of Fulcrum's punches was bound to remind him why getting punched in the face sucked. "You did quite vell zere yourself. Don't sell yourself short, I zink fighting you vill be enough for me today."
  16. Meanwhile, Atlas and the giant zombie were squaring off for round 2. Atlas went in for an axe handle smash, but again the creature moved just out of the way. Thinking quickly, Altas reversed his momentum and caught the creature solidly with his back swing. As the creature is knocked off balance, Atlas continues his assault and tries to drag the creature forcefully to the ground so he can pummel it some more.
  17. Atlas Melee Attack vs Big Zombie, All Out Attack 5, Power Attack 2, DC 32 Toughness (1d20+8)=12 Grrr. Okay, someone needs to give Atlas directions to the broad side of a barn when this is over with. Going to use a HP to reroll. Atlas Melee Attack vs Big Zombie, All Out Attack 5, Power Attack 2, DC 32 Toughness - HP reroll(1d20+8)=26 I'm going to assume that hits, and I'm going to use Improved Grab to attempt to grapple the critter. Grapple Check - AoA & PA still in effect (1d20+41=51)
  18. "Very good then. This abornmality has manifested itself in the mountain ranges just outside of Freedom. As I have yet to venture there myself for I did not know what I would encounter, I do not yet know the location. There may however be some sign of this abornmality, but I cannot say for certain. All I ask is that in our travels, we remain vigilant and keep a wary on on our surroundings. Is this agreed?"
  19. Atlas gave a sideways glance at Colt; he wasn't sure if Colt knew about Jack and Taylor's *ahem* night life, and for that matter he didn't know who this John character was either. He decided it best to steer the conversation away from that. Atlas shrugged at John's comments. "Vierder zings have happened. Especially in zis city. For all you know it could have been her Pirate Ghost Robot from Future Neptune. Zey look happy now and zat is all zat matter da?"
  20. "Well... uh.. you see the thing is... that we uhh... RUN!" Earl turns on his heel and bolts to the door, and all of the other workers do likewise, heading out every exit available and making new ones through the windows when necessary. Earl and the gang members included, there were 9 guys now trying to run for their lives in every direction.
  21. Nope you're right. The Energy Storage power changes how the power works entirely. So yeah, it looks like you could indeed get up to the really high levels of Growth hypothetically, if I'm reading this right. But if you want to cap yourself at Huge size, I don't have a problem with that at the slightest. So their Toughness save should be +11 at most normally, including the Absoption.

    Tempest

I believe that I now have cause for some concern. I journeyed high into the nearby mountains so that I may converse with the Creators this afternoon as I do everyday. However, I found myself unable to reach them. This has never happened before. I do seem to be suffering from what the humans refer to as fear or anxiety over this matter. I tried to do what the humans do and "put it out of their mind" but I found it quite difficult to remove. Perhaps because it is such an important part of me that I am unable to do this or it is merely because I am not human and it is a unique ability that the humans possess. Whatever the reason, if I find myself unable to converse with the Creators again tomorrow, then I shall need to investigate this matter. Perhaps I should turn to the other heroes for assistance in this matter?
  23. "The leaking is natural to me humans; as natural as breathing is to you. When I reestablish my connection to the higher plane, what I have lost is replenished. The leaking is a symptom not the disease as it were to use one of your human analogies."
  24. Atlas stood up from his work in surprise at the close voice, he had been son engrossed he apparently hadn't notice Moira sneak up on him. His eyes also widened in shock when he realized he was being greeted by someone in a red silk dress in the middle of winter. "Vhy hello zere, and a very Merry Christmas to you too." said Atlas with a smile as he gave a small bow at Moira's arrival. "Aren't you a little cold?" he asked nodding at her dress.
  25. That and its for charity, we flat out pull our punches. We're not trying to beat the snot out of each other here. Probably.
