"Vhat do ve know of tradition? Not one of us is from ze same area. Ze fact zat we're all here sounds like ze opening to a joke. 'A Scottsman, a Russian and a Cowboy all valk into a bar..."' Atlas chuckled at his own joke for a moment. "Heh. Just kidding around da? I'm Atlas and this is Colt, nice to meet you Mr...?" said Atlas as he extended his hand to the Scottsman.

Atlas and Moira meet up at the park, hijinx ensue.

Despite his upbringing, Atlas still loved snow. Truth be told, he felt weird when there wasn't some around. Besides, it was warm here, or at least compared to back home anyways, and it wasn't like he got cold often anymore. So when he felt the need to make a snowman, he didn't question it and immediately went off to Liberty Park. He took one great big leap, soaring high above the snowy streets of Freedom. Although he never mentioned it, Atlas wished he could fly. Whenever he took the big leaps he always liked to spread his arms out and pretend he was flying. Landing with a thud, Atlas took a moment to adjust his hat while he surveyed the area, looking for a good spot. Finding one, he went about making a snowman. Within a few minutes, he had a snowball nearly 3ft in diameter.

Protection 6 by my calculations, see below. How so? How could they attain Huge size, let alone anything larger. From my understanding of Boost, only the highest rank applies. So you can get a total of Boost 12 from your Absorption power, which grants 12 power points, not ranks. 12 power points is enough for 4 ranks, or Large size. If you've seen something that contradicts this, let me know. No problem. You notice how all the Super-Strength PF's use their DC and area size based upon your Strength score? Super-Strength PF's are much like AP's in that they use the base power (your Strength score) to determine how much points the rest have room to play around with. To buy an additonal rank in Strength requires 2 points. Example: Strength 10 is Rank 0, Strength 12 is Rank +1. Thererfore, if you were to break down the various PF's you'll find that they also cost 2pp/rank. Shockwave for instance is Damage Extras: Cone Area Burst, which costs 2pp/rank. But, if you were to Link the effects, then they would have a cost of 4pp/rank, which is too expensive. Got it or need me to go over it again?

Okay, before we get to the matches themselves, we actually need to figure out who's fighting who. They should be reasonably well matched between one another. However, due to Jack's and Colt's use of weaponry, they may be forced to use a boxing glove tipped rapier and boxing glove bullets respectively Anyone have certain requests one way or another for who should fight who?

Alright, well there's a few problems with powers, most of it involving Absorption. Absorption is essentially Protection, Impervious and Boost in one package. So Protection 10, Absorption 6 and your (base) Constitution of 12 gives you an effective +17 Toughness save bonus (Absorption is weird in that it reduces the DC rather than giving you a bonus to the roll but the net effect is the same). This of course breaks caps, and will then break caps further once your Absorption goes to work and further jacks up your Toughness save. In addition, it seems that you've calculated that at maximum you can have Growth 8, enough for Huge size. This is incorrect, when you absorb an attack, it gives you a number of power points in a boost effect equal to Aborption rank x 2, in your case 12. This is enough to get to Large size because Growth costs 3 points per rank. Also, the Linked Shockwave and Thunderclap doesn't quite work like that. Super-Strength power feats are in effect "based" off the points you put in Strength. This is why all Super-Strength PF's cost 2pp/rank, the same as the effective rank for Strength based attacks (ie: unarmed damage). Linking the effects would have a net cost per rank of 4pp/rank. I haven't gone real in depth with the rest of the sheet, but my initial glance didn't find any errors.

"Humans, do not doubt yourselves, but rather believe in me who believes in you. You may not know the ways of the "mystic" forces at work here, but they are a part of you. The forces at work here, or rather that were at work are the most basic forces in the universe. They are not arts to be learned, but rather instinct that is to be honed. Trust me when I say that you can do this humans. If you are willing, I ask that you accompany me to a place that is suffering from an affliction similar to my own, and I fear that it may be just the first. There we may hopefully learn more about the root of the problem. What do you say humans?"

Atlas chuckled shaking his head. As the bartender quizzically looked up (and up and up) at Atlas, he ordered "Four of vhatever comes in ze biggest glass." offhandedly. Quickly downing two of them as if they were shots he turns to Colt "Not going to lie, I am imagining you as a pretzel right now." Atlas takes a sip of his next drink, holding the glass delicately between his thumb and pointer finger. "Now, as for seeing nozing finer zan zis open bar..." Atlas turned around putting his back against the bar "...I say you need your eyes fixed." as he pointed out a few of the gorgeous women who were in attendance, one of which Colt had walked in with.
-
Atlas took a step back to let the new comers into their little circle. "Now understand, you normally need to be over 7 feet tall to be in zis circle..." Atlas jerked his thumb at GrimColt. "..but ve'll make an exception - zis time." He scowled at the new comers before extending his hand as well to greet them properly.
-
Atlas lead the way all right. He was pretty much a human snow plow. He had gotten used to walking through the crowds by this point, and made a mental note on where all the rug rats were at all times. He made a little small talk with Colt on the way. "So besides ze whole hero zing, vhat do you do for a living? I vork for a construction company on some odd jobs vhen zey need ze extra muscle."

It was becoming clear to Tempest that he would die this day. Their force was too numerous and their tactics too brutal for Tempest to do anything other than stall for time. However, the longer he stalled, the more humans got out of the building alive. He saw how quickly the demons would cut down any of the stragglers, and he wanted, he needed to save as many of those people from that fate as possible. ... "People" Tempest smiled. He understood the meaning of the word now. "People" It was a nice thing to save people. With the last of his strength, Tempest warped reality around him one last time. He contorted the stairwell to block the demon's progress, but it also left him alone with the Horde. It left him in his own tomb...

Atlas followed Colt a bit off to the side. "Ah, so you don't know anyone else here eizer?" asked Atlas chuckling. "Vell, in my case its like I am expected to know every one but I really don't. It's mostly because everyone wants to know vat I'm doing here, not zat I blame zem. Vhen I valk into a vedding reception I don't expect to see zis big red guy zere. Vell, obviously I expect to see a red guy but - I'm going to stop talking now."
-
Tempest followed Colt into the next room. "A documentation on the various aspects of the Christmas religion? Yes I do believe that would help add some perspective to the questions I have." Tempest looked through the collection of movies, unsure of which one to pick. Then he saw a name he recognized "Star Wars". "Here is one." said Tempest as he held up the case for the Star Wars Holiday Special. "The Star Wars movies have recieved a great deal of praise from the humans, this holiday special of theirs must also be very good. What is your opinion Colt human?"

<.< >.> <.< *covertly hides some notes* Yes, very well done Cryoa.

<.< >.> <.< ...I knew that. No, Investigation doesn't help unfortunately.

I forgot something. Fulcrum's Cosmic Awareness Sense should be going bonkers right about now. Because its not acute, you don't have much information other than the fact that Tempest seems to be leaking.
-
Atlas was floored. His arms and shoulders slacked as he looked at Fulcrum. Holy #$%^&! She's at eye level. Sure he was a bit taller than her, but not by much, especially compared to how he towered over everyone else. Atlas did his best to recover quickly, and was thankful that it was much harder to tell when he was blushing now. "Pleased to meet you. Fulcrum is it? Atlas." said Atlas as he remembered his manners and offered his hand to the new comer. He marveled for a moment at the fact that he didn't have to duck to do so.
-
Atlas felt like he stuck out like a sore thumb, which was very much the case. He was pretty much the only one in the room, besides Ace, who's heroic nature was known to everyone. It wasn't exactly easy to hide in his case. He was making small talk with a bunch of the other guests, but it never lasted all too long. He was far more comfortable talking to all the blue collar folk, which were very much in short supply here. And even when he hung out around Jack and Taylor, he was sure there was lots of hidden subtext in the conversations, but he didn't gather their meaning. He knew they were part of an old team, but he didn't know all the heroes who were in that team, let alone who their real identities were. It was like commenting on a woman's pregnancy; you don't say a single word unless you know. The site of Colt and Grim was therefore a site for sore eyes. He knew they were heroes, so rubbing elbows with them wouldn't seem odd to onlookers. And more importantly, they were down to earth. "Boo." he said behind them if they had managed to miss the barn-in-a-tux making its way through the crowd towards them. "So who are you vith, bride or groom?"

Atlas couldn't help but laugh at the antics of Colt and Grim. "Chicken!? Zem be fightan words zere!" said Atlas with mock indignation. He got into a 1900's British boxing pose. "Put zem up, put zem up." It was about that time that GrimColt realized Atlas was still bigger than the both of them, and if he timed it just right, he might be able to punch both of them in the face at the same time; that is of course only if GrimColt forgot how to duck all of a sudden. "I am surprised to see you here zough Colt. You alvays are using ze guns. I vonder if you even know how to throw a proper punch." grinned Atlas. He clearly wasn't being serious, he was just messing with Colt.
-
Tempest looked first to Colt. "Dying is the closest word you humans employ to convey the condition I have." Tempest then looked to Geckoman. "If I have properly interpreted your rather unique sayings Geckoman human, then yes. I estimate that I have what you humans refer to as a week before the link is fully severed. And I believe that the three of you can help me reestablish this link. I can sense a unique... connection is not the proper word, but it is the closest you humans have to the real one... to the sort of energy I need to harness. For that reason I believe that the three of you can help me mend this tear in the realms."

"But then, why do many of the Catholic churches still have their gatherings on Christmas? Furthermore, many of them seem to observe the holiday in a similar fashion to that of the "new" Christmas. Also, what is the title of the new religion?"

It was amazing how Atlas didn't stick out more than he did. He spent most of his time sitting down (on 3 chairs by the way) letting people come to him, rather than *ahem* muscle his way through the crowd. He was just giving people time to realize that there was in fact a BIG RED MAN in the corner. He had dressed in quite possibly the fanciest suit he had ever seen let along worn. Mostly due to the fact that it had to be personally tailored to him, which was the case with most of his clothes these days truth be told, but he went the extra mile for this one. Soon after the arrival of the guests of honor, Atlas started to make his way over to them. The going was... interesting. The guests got out of Altas' way quickly enough, but Atlas went very slowly because he really wanted to avoiding squishing any of the other guests, especially the few kids that were running about; the little buggers only came halfway up to his shins. There were however 2 saving graces. Firstly, he could easily keep track of anyone in the room from his vantage level. And secondly, and more importantly, he didn't have to worry about anyone walking into his drink, as it was suspended a foot over their heads. But soon enough, Atlas had made his way over to Jack and Taylor. He gave Taylor a small hug, or whatever qualified as a hug anyways, quietly muttering "You look beautiful. Make sure you enjoy yourself, da? You earned it." Atlas rounded on Jack next, clasping his paw on Jack's shoulder. "Jack. I vill put it to you straight. If she ain't happy, you ain't happy. And if she ain't happy, ve gonna need stronger drinks." chuckled Atlas. Yeah, that was all the relationship advice Atlas could give.
