Cy, how would DS feel about using his gravity manipulation to control a giant Rock'em Sock'em Robot which is of course versing another giant Rock'em Sock'em Robot being controlled by another hero in a similar situation? Quote, as much as I would love to see BD get punched in the face repeatedly, I think Colt is definately the better pick. Durf, swanky. I'll get this started up later tonight or tomorrow.

Atlas chuckled. "Heh. It's a little hard to take all of zis seriously vhen ve've done nozing but tell jokes zis entire time. 'Ve are zose monsters'? Maybe on ze outside, but on ze inside ve're just a bunch of normal peoples. You may have ze mannerisms of a spooky guy down pat, but I just don't zink I could do it zat vell... I mean its not like I have much to vork vith. Sure I'm like 12 times bigger zan a normal person, and sure I have zis vierd skin color, and sure I have muscles on top of muscles, but in ze long run, most people don't zink I'm zat scary. But day, I'm up for a team if zat is vhat you are zinking about." Atlas actually manages to get through that little speech with a straight face.

Alright after watching Batman: The Brave and the Bold I have decided that we need more camp on the boards. So, the solution is to have a bunch of heroes do some charity boxing matches against one another. No heat vision, no laser blasts, no flying. Sportsmanship and friendly showboating with the crowd is a must. The heroes are raising money for the Extra Snuggly Adorable Orphans Foundation. The actual matches are entirely friendly in nature. They can be RP'd out or rolled out at the player's own preference. In all likelihood, a bout could end without either hero getting knocked down. Plently of banter before, during and after the match is expected (don't ask how they speak the mouth guards, they just do) as are comments from the peanut gallery. I'll be playing Atlas in the thread as well. And the bouts will be set up based upon how well matched they are. Anyone interested?

I'll get this started in a day or two, I just need to get settled at home.

We'll round that off to 190 for this discussion. In which case, Atlas can lift 65,536lbs for every pound Centurion can lift. Broken down it looks like this: Light Load: 1,280,000,000 tons Medium Load: 2,560,000,000 tons Heavy Load: 3,276,800,000 tons Maximum Load: 6,400,000,000 tons Push/Drag: 16,384,000,000 tons Note: These numbers are self generated because the character builder I ordinarily use apparently doesn't go this high. I took the numbers from the listing for 150 strength and multiplied them by 256 (4 for every 10 they exceeded it). Due to Atlas' Armor in combination with his high Impervious score, Atlas automatically saves against any physical damage of rank 27 or less. If hit with a rank 28 attack, Atlas will need to save vs DC 29 because the Immunity cuts the effective rank down to 14. Atlas can save against such an attack on a 10, assuming he has his full Toughness score. It is not recommended that you go blow for blow with Atlas. His armor however affords no protection against energy damage. Also, stick close to party members to utilize Interpose. Also note that I gave Atlas the armor more or less because I ran out of ideas on what to give him. His skills and feats are where I want them to be. He's got a +10 to most interaction skills, which I consider to be good enough. He's not a smooth talker, but he's a nice enough guy. Mega-ton Punch is the Climbing Kick power from Mecha & Manga. Which itself is Damage X LINKED Trip X Extras: Knockback, Flaws: Melee range. Effectively, if Atlas hits you with a Mega-ton Punch, and you are not stunned by the attack, you could still be flung by the attack anyways. When not using one of his other fancy Super-Strength PF's, Atlas will pretty much be using this at every singe opportunity.

Heh, just when Tempest is getting a grasp on humanity, you're gonna throw Gecks at him? You're a sick man! :D

Thinking of starting up a new thread once finals are over in a few days, figured I'd get interest now. Tempest needs to commune with nature every day so that he can converse with the Creators and continue his existence on this realm. But for the past few days, he's been getting the nature equivalent of a busy signal and is now well, dying. So Tempest is now seeking aid from the hero community to well, not die. The heroes must discover what causing this interference, and soon. Looking for a handful of characters to join in. Those with plant and/or animal based powers may have felt that something's been amiss for the past day or two, but nothing major.

"Da, ve know. Your neighbor told us off already." replied Atlas as he jerked his thumb at Avenger. Atlas was debating bringing Dead Head up to speed, but he would have probably guessed it in a moment anyways. After all, they were all in the civies more or less at this point. Out of the Midnighters, Atlas liked Dead Head the best. He was someone he could relate to. Dead Head was stuck the way he was, and onlookers would instantly know he was different just by looking at him, and people would judge him by what they saw. But there was the very real possibility that the weight of this drove Dead Head mad so kind of a double edged sword there.

Atlas stuck his hands on his hips and looked over everyone assembled around him. He paced back and forth for a moment, mulling things over. He stopped in his pacing, and stared up at the sky for a moment before returning to the group. "My turn, da? Vell... I'm Samael Nitorvich, from Russia. I own deli in Fens. But now... I am Atlas. And zat... is all I know." said Atlas defeatedly as he sat down on the ground. "Ze gangs, zey shot me, zey killed me, and I died. Zen, I got back up, looking like zis. Ze changes lasted a vhile at first, but zen zey kept getting shorter, but vhen I returned to normal, I vas stronger and tougher. Now, I can't change back. All of you, you know vat you are. It is somezing you can can to terms vith. I can't do zat, at least, not yet."

Our hearts go out to the both of you.

Atlas leaned forward and squinted, concentrating on Avenger's - Jack's - face, as if the word "vampire" was suddenly going to appear on his face. He then leaned back on his heels, rocking back and forth surverying Avenger. There was a few mixed feelings about this revelation. "Vell... zat's somezing alright. Figured you vere a little off. No offense. Vhat vith ze being really spooky and stuff." Besides looking Avenger weird, Atlas was looking over Phantom as if she might spontaneously turn into a mummy or something else like that. "Any ozer secrets to get out in ze open? Maybe zere is like a verevolf in ze family, or one of you is part robot?"
-
Well we could play a few hands "off camera" then people who aren't still around get dragged off for various reasons (ie: running out of money, needing to get up early tomorrow, getting too sleepy). But the rest of us decide to stay for a little longer.

AvengerAssembled (Diamond) - Freedom Angel - PL11 Hero
Geez3r replied to Avenger Assembled's topic in Archived Characters
Preemptive approval Can't be "approved" as a character until Avenger earns 2 more PP. -
Gotta spend some points for Altas. Firstly, his Alternate Form is now gone. He now has all of the powers in the form as normal powers. Also, get rid of the Leaping 1 outside of the array, and slap Innate on the Growth. New point change: costs 1pp, so currently, I should have 58 points in powers and 4 more points to spend. I'll start to hit caps by buying 1 rank in Attack and 2 points into Constitution. For Tempest, I've got 10 points to spend because my old edits apparently got Nom'd during the server crash. I'll make his Detect Life Acute, Analytical and Accurate for 3 points. Then I'll buy Move by Action for another point. I'll throw 4 points into Master of the Elements to jack up the rank on every power in the array by 1. This will make Shape Matter be 50,000lbs and Environmental Control be 5 miles. That's 8 points spent so far. I'll spend the last 2 points on the Elemental Attunement Array to add 2 AP's. * AP: Healing 4 Extras: Total, Restoration Flaws: Requires Direct Sunlight, Personal PF's: Persistant, Regrowth - Wood * AP: Teleport 9 Flaws: Long Range Only PF: Easy - Lightning DONE BY AA

Altas pauses for a moment, and then looks in his trench coat for something. He pulls out a small business card with the phrase "BLU" written on it. "Vell I've been freelancing for ze Builders League United for a little vile now; doing some of ze heavy lifting for zem obviously. I might be able to pull a string or two if ve vould vant some place a little more special. Not saying ve have to, just somezing to maybe zink about. Zey are ze ones helping vith my new house."

Or should we call you "Sandman XII" now? Anyways, Happy Birthday! :applaud:  :applaud:  :applaud: :GreatJob: :congrats:

Fly over to the area and drop the area burst with Cold/Wind elements. Then change the array settings to Earth Attuned and the Energy Aura (electricity).

"In Soviet Russia, vorld takes over you!" interjects Atlas. This had to be just about the motliest crew of individuals in Freedom. However, he was glad that none of them seemed to take themselves too seriously. "Da..." said Atlas nodding in agreement with Hellion. "Ve should get some chairs next time. Zat way, ve can talk almost face to face. Unless you like looking at zese iron-hard abs, and be honest, who vouldn't?" says Atlas as he does a few mock flexes and poses.

Atlas was fairing slightly better than the others, but that was a contest where there were no winners. His arms and hands were so torn up, he hadn't been able to make a fist for nearly 5 minutes now. He had just been wind-milling his arms, bludgeoning anything within arm's reach with wild swipes. He hadn't noticed anything going on around him. All knew was that every time he swung his arms nearly 30 demons died, only to be replaced by about 300 more, give or take a few thousand. He was beginning to wonder if there was going to ever be any end to them when - :kaboom: That moment shook Atlas out of his stupor. In the momentary silence that followed he saw fully the destruction that had been caused, and how many good friends had fallen. But beyond even that he heard the cries of the citizens still in the manor, and that gave him the strength to fight on. Bones were mended, muscles were knit and flesh was made whole. On the outside, he looked nearly as good as new, nearly. I have to make zis count. I can not fail. Atlas roared with renewed vigor and charged one of the large demons in the courtyard. He leapt onto the mammoth creature's knee and delivered a vicious haymaker, shattering the creature's joint. When the creature crumpled to the ground, Atlas buried his arms into its brain matter. Wielding his latest kill like a morning star, Atlas joined the other heroes in removing the larger demons from the courtyard. His grisly task done for now, Atlas retook his place at the front. "Comrades, it has been an honor." said Atlas to the remaining heroes as the renewed Horde barreled down upon them.

http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2344270/ Pass 1, fail 3, narrowly I might add :wallbang: So 7 wounds for me. Healing Check (1d20+26=35) Say goodbye to 6 of those wounds.

Tempest flies over to one of the larger holes in the defenses and laid down a devestating blizzard attack that froze some of the weaker demons were they stood, and slowed some of the other, larger demons, but didn't so much as scratch the building or any of the civilians inside of it. He touched down on the ground, and suddenly he looked like an electrified tree barring the path to the breach. "It would be appreciated if the demon abominations would return from whence they came rather than to continually damage the structure of this building."

Atlas was a bit taken aback by the new arrival. "I vas zinking of somezing like a name, but da causing ze end of ze vorld is somezing to know about da." Atlas took a moment to look the newcomer up and down. Not really what he was expecting. He looked like some rich kid. But seeing as how Avenger and Phantom invited him, there had to be more than meets the eye for the kid. It made the end of the world thing seem almost possible. "Atlas by ze way."
-
"Avenger. Phantom." said Atlas nodding his head to the two of them in turn, he made a weird move with his hand like he went to go shake their hands, but thought better of it. It was only when he got right up next to them that he really notice how much bigger than the two of them he was. It was still a weird sensation to be this much taller. Heck, he was like 3 Phantoms standing shoulder to shoulder - standing on top of 3 other Phantoms. "Hokay. Iz zere anyzing I should be knowing about zese two, or did you zink it vould be funnier to keep me guessing? " Altas stooped down when he was talking, and took at step back so the others wouldn't have to crane their necks to look at his face. He debated asking about their previous wrestling match, but decided that under the circumstances that it would be really awkward.

To say that the demon's attacks were effective was quite a bit of an understatement. The claws, teeth, fire and seemingly the Horde itself tore through Altas' flesh. Atlas was left a bloody and mangled mess. As the Horde moved on to attack the others, suddenly Atlas' body stirred. He let out a massive roar, and suddenly, his flesh was sowing itself back together again. He didn't look nearly as good as new, but he looked quite good for someone who should be dead by all rights. "My turn!" roared Atlas as he charged the Horde again.
